We initially made contact with Skip 50 via their website after seeing some commercial photography they did for Harp. They got in touch really quickly and their sales and marketing team put together a proposal for us based on our needs. This was very professional and easy to understand with different options explained clearly. We decided to proceed and then had a Zoom call with the studio manager, Clare who came up with some great suggestions after our discussion on the style and format of our photography. Clare really put us at ease and explained how the photoshoot would go on the day. Jenny, our photographer was very nice and fun to work with and we now have 32 final shots including new head shots that we are really pleased with. Sophie ran a workshop for 10 of us who wanted to have the confidence to use alternative settings to auto on our cameras. She tailored the course to our needs and individual levels of understanding, she dealt with 10 different abilities and 10 different cameras efficiently and patiently. We booked Sophie gor our wedding on recommendation from another photographer and were so pleased we did! We were offered an engagement shoot as part of our package but Sophie was more than happy for us to change this to a family shoot for us. We arranged this well in advance and all found Sophie lovely to deal with throughout. On the day our 1 year old was not a happy bunny but some how Sophie was able to get the best out of him and we ended up with some beautiful photos! With our actually wedding day, Sophie was in contact in the lead up (she also recommended a great band who we booked) and arranged to meet us at the venue the week before to go through any questions. On the day itself she was great, we booked a small package as we had a low key day so had photos of us getting ready through to speeches. She got some great photos and seemed to manage to capture pictures of every single guest we had as well as some lovely couple and family shots. We got our photos within a few weeks and I could not have been happier! Overall I couldn't recommend Sophie enough, she's a pleasure to deal with and her photos are simply beautiful!

Great course from an excellent teacher. I’d had my Nikon D3300 DSLR camera over a year, read various books and on-line guides about using Manual mode, so that I could master aperture and shutter speed, but all left me totally perplexed. By lunchtime on Sophie's beginner’s course I knew exactly what I was doing. I had to stop and think a few times, but could always find a solution by trial and error on the settings.
