Cognition is the best marketing agency we have dealt with. Uniquely they are passionate about taking an evidence based approach which pulls together the available sales and marketing data together with some extraordinary insights into the psychology of the target audience.
Our initial request was to sort out and refresh our website. We were so impressed that they didn't want to spend money on marketing activities without first investigating the evidence and understanding our market place and customers. This involved some qualitative one to one and group work with customers and prospects, plus an in depth quantitative analysis of the data from all available sources.
This phase of the work also involved some invigorating and challenging questions relating to our core proposition, our values as a business and sorting out our key messaging. The Dr of Psychology who is one of the founders of the agency certainly kept us on our toes and challenged our conventional thinking.
Only then did Cognition commence on rebuilding our website and sorting out the user experience. Once the relaunch is complete most agencies run out of steam. Not Cognition. Their excellent account managers were relentless on continuing their data driven and evidence based approach to planning subsequent campaigns. This meant effective A/B testing on each campaign which enabled us to have confidence that we would achieve return on investment before we even launched the campaign.
The next stage of our Cognition journey was to harness all sources of data. This involved the implementation of HubSpot and the integration of our data sources from our existing CMS and our ERP system so we could build one strong sales, marketing and analytics platform
This phase of the journey was a revelation as we saw the power of data to analyse our user journeys and build more effective inbound content to nurture prospects along the funnel. It also had a very beneficial effect at pulling our sales and marketing teams together as both departments could see the joint power of their more joined up team work.
Building on this strong data platform, we love the real time evidence produced by HubSpot on the effectiveness of our ongoing sales and marketing activities. The virtuous circle of evidence/testing/action/analysis that Cognition has deployed continues to deliver strong growth in the business.
Our journey began in 2015 and I cannot speak highly enough of Cognition as a modern, data driven, evidence based, creative digital agency.
