Many thanks to the Oscar and Paul who helped with every aspect of my purchase. I had an installation issue and Paul talked me through the process which solved the problem instantly. Great knowledge compared to some other High St Electrical retailers will definitely use again.
I went in to look at a refurb 55" OLED LG TV last month.
The gentleman I spoke to (think it was Paul) was extremely knowledgeable about the product, took time to explain it all to me and did not try and upsell me a more expensive model.
Fantastic customer service, an amazing TV at a bargain price. I love it and even the wife likes it now she has got used to the size.

Got back into vinyl recently after 20 years away and Paul really helped with my decision making. Even gave me a guide of how to set everything up once I got home which really helped. On doing so I could not get the turntable to sound right and had no clue as to what to do!! Need not have worried, gave Paul a call and he sorted out my issue in about 30 seconds, over the phone!

I’ve been a customer of Richer Sounds Bournemouth since the late 90’s, when I bought my first portable Mini Disc player and my first Hifi separates from them (which I still own, and still work faultlessly!). Recently I moved my current system, bought some longer cables online and then experienced problems with my power amp clipping. I turned to the store for a second opinion to help resolve my problem. The manager Jim lent me some alternative cable to rule that out, which did fix the issue, but switching to a more expensive cable brought the problem back. After doing some more head scratching and research, I found that my power amps have uncommonly low output impedance, and they were refusing to play ball with my 8 ohm speakers and 4 metres of quality cable. I went back to the store with one of my amps and Rob took the time to demo different speakers and speaker cables, without any hard sales, until I found a setup that suited my taste and worked with my amp. I ordered a pair of Dali Rubicon 2 speakers from the store on Sunday, the following Saturday Jim drove to my house with Rob so the speakers could be hand delivered, setup, and heard running. Hands down the best customer service I’ve ever experienced! The speakers are also outstanding, couldn’t be happier with my purchase. You’ll never get a better deal on Audio or TV products anywhere else, it’s absolutely worth going out of your way to use Richer Sounds, rather than the electronics superstores who couldn’t give a monkeys about the customer! Thanks again guys, amazing service!
Fantastic, personalised service. I needed a new TV and was struggling to find the one I wanted in stock anywhere, though called Richer Sounds (B'mth being closest store) as they came up joint cheapest and wanted to avoid Amazon (so to pay tax in UK !). I spoke to Lewis who gave some great advice on an alternative TV. I didn't pay for "next day delivery", but it arrived next day. I then had a courtesy call from Lewis to check everything was OK. First class service. Would certainly use again.
Had an issue with some headphones, was told by AKG to take them back to the store, which I did. Was genuinely impressed by the quality of service, had them swapped out. Far better experience than I've experienced with other retailers; many thanks to Robert and the team.
Bought a LG TV form Richer Sounds Boscombe Store about four years ago, having a little issue with it, so rang the store, spoke to Paul, who is a fountain of knowledge, a great service as always, nothing is too much trouble, and that's why I keep going back.

Shortly after buying a Panasonic TX43FX550B a fault appeared with the TV guide and TVOD. I was told it’s probably my aerial and they could send an engineer to have a look. Not wanting to wait in I chose to live with it. More recently the backlight went, rendering it unusable. I called the central repairs service to be told someone would get in touch to arrange a collection (apparently I couldn’t take it back to the store). I received an email from a “Billy Bland” asking for my details so I called up to confirm them. I heard nothing back so filled in a form online to follow up the repair, but again heard nothing. It seemed I’d run out of options so I went against the advice of the store and took it back. They said they’d send it back to Panasonic and get in touch. About 3 weeks later I have received a gift voucher for the full amount, although I have already replaced the TV with a Sony (KDL43WF663BU) which I bought elsewhere.
Despite all of this Richer Sounds (eventually) took up the case with Panasonic nearly 2 years after I bought the TV, and seem to view their staff as a long term investment with the result that they live and breathe the products rather than just being there to shift boxes.
Why Go Anywhere Else!
Firstly, I'd like to thank Lewis, Greg and Paul for all their help and advice, greatly appreciated.
My first experience of Richer Sounds dates back to the late 80s when as a teenager I got into HiFi separates. I bought all my kit from RS in Leeds and I've never looked back or anywhere else. The initial help and advice to a kid who knew nothing, was priceless. Ever since it's RS all the way.
Which brings me to this review. A week or so back I decided to upgrade my AV Receiver. Of course like most, I did my research online and narrowed it down to a couple of models, one being the Denon AVR 2700H. A call into RS and a chat with Lewis ended with the purchase of the 2700H. Lewis gave me the advice and filled in the 'missing' bits of information that I needed to make that decision. Not salesy or pushy, just honest, factual advice - this is what we need to make these decisions. During the call Lewis mentioned speakers but I declined a had a set which had served me well (up to this point)..
A few days later the 2700H arrives and like an excited kid at Christmas, I couldn't wait to connect it..
Then.... (if only I'd thought about speakers)....
So the 2700H is connected and happy indeed, although there's something not quite right - the sound. As always when you upgrade one part, the other is left behind.
Guess what? Another call to RS in Bournemouth. This time I spoke with Greg (Lewis on day off). Discussed speakers and mentioned my previous call/purchase. We came to the decision that the Q Acoustics 3010/3090 would be a worthwhile 'budget' upgrade. So I bought them and they arrive next day!!
Connected up and WOW I'm so happy with the sound, music has been played non stop ever since (make the most out of Apple Music I guess). When we sit to watch our shows/movies, the sound is spot on. The effects are punchy while the dialogue is crystal clear. Perfect for us.
Since the purchases/deliveries, I've had follow up calls and further advice given. Couldn't be happier.

Outstanding customer service. I have found the staff to be highly knowledgeable and extraordinarily helpful both before and after sales. When I called to notify them of a cosmetic flaw in the lacquer finish of one of my new speakers I was stunned by the response. Aran, who took the call, immediately arranged for a replacement pair and delivered them personally to my house the same evening. That is unprecedented in my experience and I can't praise him and Richer Sounds enough.
This is a great place to get your audio video and TV products especially with great price offers and also 6 years warranty on the products with just giving your email address. Customer service knowledge and product fulfillment is excellent. Definitely recommended.
The service received from Paul at the Bournemouth branch of Richer Sounds has been simply exceptional, at all stages throughout the evaluation & buying process.
It started with an appointment in their demo room, where he kindly set up the equipment I was looking to buy. (At that time a Denon mini hi-fi & separate Denon sound bar). He was good at identifying my key requirements & feedback on the products being demonstrated, so was able to make suggestions as to alternatives that might better serve my requirements. The opportunity to actually listen to different speakers & amps is far more enlightening than trying to interpret magazine product reviews!
I ended up taking home an Onkyo surround amp, an REL sub & Monitor speakers, which acoustically were all light years ahead, all on trial approval to see how it would sound in my own lounge. Interestingly though, the acoustics of my lounge appeared to create some occasional high frequency resonance from the Monitor speakers & as I had them for an extended trial period (as Covid lockdown intervened), I became very critical regarding what I liked & disliked about them. Once again Paul was very helpful & knowledgeable about the speaker characteristics & was able to suggest alternatives for me to also try out on approval.
With much patience & guidance from Paul, I now have a system that I am truly delighted with, whether listening to music alone, or films. It consists of a Denon AVC3700 Amp, Dali Opticon 2 surround speakers, Dali Oberon centre & an REL T7i sub.
It is a delight to listen to & is light years ahead of what I initially set out to buy, being perfectly customized to meet my requirements. So huge thanks Paul - you certainly have created a "Richer Sounds" customer for life!
A couple of years ago I purchased my second Panasonic UHD panel from your Bournemouth store. Since installing and connecting the set to my Onkyo amp I have had continual ARC 'hand shake' issues. After numerous calls to Panasonic and the Bournemouth store the problem was always temporarily fixed but never permanently. A few days ago I contacted the deputy manager at Bournemouth and got second to none service. He was very polite and looked into the problem thoroughly. After 4 days it is still working as it should. My hopeful conclusion is that the problem in the long term is resolved and at this stage I would like to congratulate Paul on a job well done. 'Thankyou Paul'

I have been dealing with Richer sounds for many years and have made purchases for our business as well as our own personnel use. Sometimes the heavily discounted items are older products, but offer great value for money. The prices are always competitive with the advantage of being able to view the items and try them about before purchasing. The staff are both friendly and knowledgeable, but of course certain opinions are subjective so do check out independent reviews and do some homework before purchasing.
After thinking of buying my own hi-fi system for a while, I went to richer sounds as my dad has used them for years and I can't fault them. I gave them a budget and what needs I wanted for my system and they recommended the best system I could afford and I'm more than happy. Each member of staff was knowledgeable and helpful, even getting a phone call to see how I was getting on with my new system and if I needed any help.
Above and beyond, that's how I'd describe my experience with richer sounds. I know where I'll be going for any hi-fi and visual system needs. And I suggest you do the same.
Excellent service from Richard Weight. I was stuck as my old amp had blown up and he talked me through all my options and explained how to make the new amp I was purchasing also play streaming media by the addition of a blue tooth receiver. Very impressed and will go back.
Really great place to go when looking for televisions or audio equipment. The team are very helpful, passionate, and considerate to your needs and budget. I have now purchased several items from them and have taken advantage of their VIP programme which offers extra discounts and warrantys. I have called to have something put by for collection later and duly that has been completed, not like some places where you go and they never actually do it.
I even like receiving their emails that have some good offers and keep you aware of whats going on. Will continue to use.

Went in to purchase a turntable i had reserved and ended up buying a different one after speaking to Robert - a sales advisor, who persuaded me to go for something else more suited to my needs. Don't need to bother spending hours trawling the internet for advice and reviews so you can decide on what you want - just walk in and get it all summed up for you in one go. He knew the two turntables inside out and i was amazed with the level of expert knowledge he provided.
Ordered the turntable for 24hr delivery as they did not have it in-stock. Called up a couple of days later and it turned out a small mishap meant my order did not get through to shipping. So Robert jumped on a train and took a 1 hour journey with a model up from the one i ordered and hand delivered it to my door (at no extra costs). I could not believe the level of customer service they provided. Anywhere else would have washed their hands of you and refunded or delivered after Christmas, but Richer Sounds went the extra mile and made me a very happy customer who will definitely be returning for all my tv/hifi/equipment needs in the future. Thank you very much!
Small little shop that does extremely well. Staff are very knowledgeable. We went into buy noise cancelling headphones. We were looking at a set for £300. The guy that helped us sold us a pair for £90 because they were much. We really appreciated having a sales staff wanting to help rather than sell.

I have been a customer of Richer sounds for over 40 years, originally shopping at the London Bridge store in the 70s. I've spent thousands over the years and always been treated with courtesy and respect. Under the capable hands of James, the Bournemouth store is no exception. After purchasing an expensive Samsung TV two years ago I realised that I had not registered for the free 6 year warranty at the time. Mark in customer services immediately offered to retrospectively activate the warranty,. It's so refreshing to deal with such a nice and honest company. Purchased a hi-fi system from the Boscombe shop in October and the guys in the shop were excellent. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Had a problem with one of the pieces of equipment and they dealt with it immediately. I work in sales too and I believe that you can really judge customer service by how they deal with problems. Can't fault them.
I recently purchased a Samsung 43” 4K NU7020 from RicherSounds in Boscombe as I was looking for the best budget 4K telly as I’ll be using it for gaming purposes. After many weeks of researching and spending way too much time late at night looking for one, I decided to purchase a 4K telly from RicherSounds. All of the staff there were brilliant at both providing excellent customer service and knowledge about the technology that their televisions contain. Extremely satisfied with my purchase and will be recommending their service to all and last but not least, you can’t go wrong with a 6 year guarantee that comes as standard.
A great shop. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The staff don't try to just sale the most expensive tv, but the one that is good for you. We have shopped here for many years and would come again if we needed any thing else.

Served by Lewis on two separate occasions over the Christmas period. He was very helpful and answered all our questions and sold us the items we needed and helped us carry them out to the car. Great service and a great company, I've used them several times over the years and never been disappointed with quality, service or price.
Confess I am a long term (20 year) fan so when I needed to buy a new AV receiver I looked at their website. They had the required unit in stock so I rang up, had it put aside then popped along and got it the same day. Easy!
I went to Richer sounds to buy an LG OLED CX 65 inch and came out poorer 😂 I have been shopping with these guys for over 20 years and always great service. Highly recommended.

turntable from a London branch of Richer Sounds about two years ago and l am extremely delighted with this turntable and extremely impressed with how helpful and knowledgeable the staff are at Richer Sounds.
Recently l moved from London to Weymouth in Dorset and l was having some problems with not getting a clear sound from the Bturntable this time. Previously, the turntable was working fine so l was puzzled why it wasn't working after l moved to Weymouth.
I made two telephone calls today to two gentlemen staff who work at the Bournemouth branch of Richer Sounds. After listening to their advice l solved the problem, it was a switch on the back of the turntable which was to do with the pre-amp facility which was accidentally switched on during the move from London to Weymouth. So following the advice of the very nice man l spoke to on the telephone the problem was solved quickly and saved me a long journey.

highly the expert service l have received over the years from the staff at Richer Sounds.
I have never known such excellent service from a retail hi fi store before!
I have been to many other stores in the UK to purchase hi fi equipment over the years and so many of them (which include the big well known stores - names of which l will not mention here) employ staff who haven't been trained properly regarding their products and consequently they know very little about the products they sell, which seems, unfortunately, to be not uncommon these days.
But the staff at Richer Sounds DO know their products and know them well. It is so nice to talk to these gentleman. What comes across very clearly is you get the strong impression that the staff at Richer Sounds are very helpful
and you realise that they are more interested in helping you get the best from your purchase instead of trying to just make a sale.
Moreover, they are extremely professional people with a really pleasant and friendly manner when they listen to your questions or problems. You realise very quickly that the staff at Richer Sounds are truly genuine people who place a high priority on helping you. I would like to congratulate the owners and managers and the staff for running such a really great hi-fi store with sound business ethics and excellent service.

I've been getting my TVs and Sterio equipment from Richer Sounds since I was a kid and the service is as good now as it was back then if not better, Robert served me today in the Boscombe store and he was brilliant! It's refreshing to see a sales rep with energy and
passion, having worked in sales all my life, I head up a call centre with 150 sales reps and I would definitely give Robert a job, Bravo!!
I have been shopping at Richer Sounds for a very long time, since1987 in fact,and have found all the branches I have used are staffed with knowledgeable people who have a passion and interest in the products they sell.
The Bournemouth branch is no exception to this, I was served by Tony, the area manager, who was patient and helpful, and who showed me a variety of wireless noise cancelling headphones this visit, allowing me to try on many pairs until I had found the ones that suited me best.
I also bought a pair of Atmos speakers for my AV home cinema setup, which I purchased from the same shop 18 months ago along with a new TV.
Bever a bad word to say about Richer Sounds in 30 years of dealing with them from Swiss Cottage to New Oxford Street to Bournemouth.
I went in after phoning and asking for the store to hold an item for me.
When i arrived, i had a chat with Lewis (the same gentleman i spoke to on the phone).
After discussing pros and cons with me i ended up leaving with a superior item, much better suited to my needs.
I was not "upsold", merely given the choice of another item that i had missed on the website. After demonstrating the item for me, i followed his advice and am more than happy with the service and product recieved.
I can see myself handing over a couple of grand to Lewis for various things before this year is up !! Good, friendly service matched with knowledge and a quality product base at very reasonable prices.
Feels more family run (comfortable atmosphere), rather than the faceless, branded service that you get from "bigger" companies.

I will be honest had a lot of problems with Onkyo AV amps hdmi boards let them down big time . Have used Richer Sounds for many years and they are without question very helpful when it comes to complaining about a bad product , there advice is always good and they never quibble about it . I have now changed to Yamaha and all is good . They did tell me to take out a five year warranty which everyone says no but i highly suggest you do .. they tell me if you don't use it after 5 years they will refund the warranty money . A no brainer in my book .Remember generally speaking it is the product that has let you down not them . Great shop and great service .
Bought my tv from boscombe branch. Their knowledge is good and the display is great.
Why shop at that big store where knowledge is limited and warranties are more important than the product itself.
Brilliant service as always. Robert took me through the options and helped me with the perfect set up for my budget. Did not push more expensive equipment and provided excellent advice. My tunes sound awesome
We initially went to Currys as it was closer to where we live but after asking one of the staff about HDR and realising very quickly that he didn't have a clue about it, we left.....
Next stop, Richer Sounds, Bournemouth.
Dealt with Paul who clearly explained the various differences between the new Samsung KS9000 and the LG EG920V Oled TV's, which were the 2 we had narrowed it down to and although I really wanted the Oled My partner loved the Samsung and it was at a great price and jam packed with features so with a little discount from Paul to sweeten the blow we walked away happy with the KS9000 on order.
We went back the next day and Paul and his manager helped us secure a new Onkyo 646 Surround sound amp and a Tannoy 5.1 speaker package with a little knocked of the price as we had spent so much on a TV the day before.
We picked up the TV, Amp and Speakers a few days later and spent the night testing out our new toys, at first loving the quality of the picture and the TV's stunning looks but quickly discovered an issue with the led backlight causing major bleeding/clouding especially in a darkend room and we also noticed it had a dead pixel in the top corner of the screen :/
We called RS the following morning who asked us to pop it back so that they could take a look.
When we arrived we explained the issues and they slid out a replacement instantly with zero fuss.
5 mins later we were off back home preying it was a one off as we really loved the new TV.
Got home and very carefully unboxed the replacement but on inspection we found what looked like a tape mark across the screen.
That wiped off with out issue but then we spotted a mark/scratch on the lower left of the screen.
At this point it was deffo going back but before we boxed it back up we checked to see if the backlight on this one was any better....
It wasn't and in fact was a tad worse, this one also had a single dead pixel near the middle of the screen.
Took the TV back to RS the next day and Paul was yet again extremely helpfully and after the issue with Samsungs clear lack of quality control we decided not to risk a third replacement and ordered the LG Oled instead.
We have had the LG for 2 days now and it was faultless straight out of the box.
This TV blows the Samsung KS9000 away with it's picture quality and must be seen to be believed. 4K looks absolutely awesome on the Oled in way the Sammy could only dream of.
Richer Sounds and especially Paul were amazing and we couldn't of asked for better customer service.
I will never go to anywhere else for my home cinema needs. You have one very happy customer, Thanks Guys!!
Excellent instore advice from Dep Manager Paul at Boscombe Bournemouth outlet - he was generous with his time and well informed re his products. This led to the purchase of a pair of AKG 845BT headphones from AMZ online (via RSounds) They have just been reduced from over £250 when first launched to £99 - I believe these phones have received 'Best' type awards also - so if in the market for such a product get yer skates on - I will return and recommend
i wanted a new tv as mine was a bit dated so i went to richer sounds bournemouth branch i was assisted buy the duty manager paul . he knew his stuff inside out and i ended up with what i hoped was a fantastic 4k Panasonic 65 inch tv ....... unfortunately the tv arrived at home and once i had set it up found that it had a processor fault which was causing all images to have major image blur.... bit annoying .so called the help line etc etc and ended up back with paul at the branch the guy really is top notch he helped me through all the necessary to get the issue rectified and a replacement tv ordered and set up for delivery due to arrive in the next few days. he kept me informed all the way through the process as well. you could not find a more helpful tech guy if you wanted . and to anyone reading this wondering if you should go to the Bournemouth store id say dont hesitate they know there stuff and are always happy to help during and post sales fantastic job guys thank you !!!!!!!

I'd like to extend my thanks to Rob for taking the time to demo the C9 OLED and SAMSUNG Q90R when looking for my new TV. As a Samsung employee,I tried to go in unbiased and allow for the two TVs to do the work in allowing me to decide. Rob took the time to ensure he knew what I wanted from this TV, alongside showing the same content on both to allow for a more accurate comparison. As someone who enjoys their technology, it's nice to speak to like-minded people and people who actually know what they're talking about not just someone who goes along the lines of "it's good"
I purchased a hifi which unfortunately malfunctioned but had taken the super care warranty out. I found everyone involved extremely helpful, especially Lewis, in sorting out a replacement quickly and efficiently, so one really happy customer!!
Served by Rob for some Hi-fi gear. He really knew his stuff and I was happy with the equipment he recommended. Now I've got it home it sounds great and was worth adding the extras that Rob suggested. Can't fault richer sounds at all and I will be back in the near future!

Great service today again from Robert in Bournemouth. 18yr old hifi separates starting to fail - CD developed intermittent fault. Spent very interesting session in sound room listening to wide range of options and updating my very dated knowledge with patience. No pressure sales tactics and taken seriously despite very male environment - chose to leave empty handed and think about options. 2 months later, with CD now totally broken and inspired by black Friday offers I purchased new CD and modern amp via Richer Sounds online. Dropped in today to choose new cable to connect. New lead to TV suggested plus one linking new cd and amp - WOW everything sounds amazing! Very happy took the plunge - thank you Robert!
Another great shopping experience at Richer Sounds Bournemouth! I treated myself to a Yamaha YAS105 Soundbar today for my TV. Robert the sales consultant served me and made sure I was making the right choices. Talked me through various technical stuff like sound dispersion etc which was important to know. I would like to thank Paul for his fantastic help over my recent purchases. Living on the Isle of Man I have limited access locally so I phoned Richer Sopunds Bournemouth prior to a family visit to the area. Paul was extremely helpful and as a result I ordered a sub woofer, a Sony AVR and a blue ray DVD player. I picked these up on my trip and when I returned home I called Paul. He was incredibly helpful and talked me through the setup incorporating these items into my home cinema system. Wow how things have moved on.

I would give it 5 stars but was disappointed with one staff member. I was buying TV and knew exactly what I wanted. I've chosen a samsung tv with 4 hdmi inputs but it was out of stock. The sales person proposed lg tv instead and said it has 3 hdmi inputs. I asked to show me specification and found that the LG tv has only 2 inputs. At the end, the manager gave me a discount on samsung tv model higher than I wanted to buy because the other one was out of stock so took the offer. Overall good shop but be aware of staff "recommendations".

I'm really pleased with the product. An incredibly low pricetag, fill-the-room sound and really decent styling, I am completely made up with this speaker. The non-slip base, complete with a little fulcrum to hold it in place, means that I've found you can go full volume without a vibration problem.
The bluetooth connects quickly, ever time, to an array of different devices.
I do tend to eq my iTunes, depending on the speaker - cos I'm fussy like that - and have found that increasing the bottom end when playing through the GO enhances the sound even further.
The battery life is amazing - I've been using this speaker pretty non-stop for work since Christmas and have only had to charge it once.

I visited The Bournemouth store recently to purchase a new 55" smart tv. It was important that I knew how to connect my existing 8 year old Sony surround system to the new tv as modern tvs do not have the same conectivity as my previous tv. I spoke to deputy manager Paul Steel who could not have been more helpful and I was very impressed with his knowledge and the the time and trouble he went to to ensure that I was happy with my purchase.
