Phenomenal service as always from Richer Sounds. I had an issue with some headphones and just popped into the London Road branch as I was passing. Ben and Toby couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. They immediately accepted there was an issue and replaced my headphones then and there. I have always had great service from here but this exceeded my already high expectations.

Great Advice to upgrade speakers without buying a new pair.
I have a pair of Spendor S6E speakers and was looking to buy a new pair at £1500 plus to get a richer more engaging sound , was advised to try a REL TZERO sub @ £449 - This did the trick , warmth and engagement straight away and the sub even seams to highlight the vocals better. Would suggest anyone wanting a simple upgrade buys one of these.

Best Customer Service ever. Bought online a pro ject t1 phono sb turntable and speakers to go back to my youth and get back to having records again. Being female and 51 I went to a place I knew very well where I bought my own marantz set up many years ago. Got the wrong colour by mistake but the next day they arranged a swap over with no problem. Went in here today as I’d ordered a project jukebox turntable from richer sounds online and couldn’t get it to work. Ben was so helpful - turns out I’d ordered the wrong turntable with a Bluetooth input rather than a Bluetooth output! Christmas is Saved! I purchased a Samsung TV from Richer Sounds 4 years ago and unfortunately it developed a fault (as tech does) and whilst the TV is being serviced (Richer Sounds' 6 Year Warranty); I decided to call the Brighton branch (spoke with Damian) to see how/if they could help with a loan TV with it being one week out from Christmas. Long and short of it; he came up with a solution, that went above and beyond my experience of other retailers, to ensure the family didn't have Christmas without a TV. It’s all about service, really. That and great value, but first and foremost, service.
On Thursday my DAC that I bought from Richer Sounds on-line in March failed on one input. I go to the website and fill in the all the details of where the issue lies, how I’ve eliminated cables, etc and other inputs and settings, and that there is no doubt that something has gone pop inside the DAC overnight.
Within ten minutes, I get an email from Richer Sounds saying to take it to my local branch and they will sort me out, so I find a moment to go the next day.
Friday, and Rosie at the Brighton store takes my box, printed-out email with all the details, and disappears for a few minutes, then comes back and says it is now all in hand and that they’ll try and sort me out by Monday. Fair enough, it’s long beyond the 30 day swap-out period. I’ll get emailed a confirmation for receipt and a repair booked in by the time I get home. Any other shop and they’d have me explaining again what I’ve tried, how I’m sure it isn’t a cable, what is my contact number and email, where is the receipt, but no – Rosie has been through the emails and has taken the trouble to understand that all the details are there, set out. This alone is a refreshing change from any other shop I have ever been to, and at 62, I’ve been to a lot, and I leave very happy that it didn’t take more than a couple of minutes and everything is now underway. Very impressed with the efficiency.
Saturday morning and I want to play some music, as I do every day, so I consider fixing up my ratty old Chinese £19 DAC off eBay to get me through the weekend, but no, I have a text. Richer Sounds tell me that a delivery driver will arrive between 1.00 and 2.00pm with my new DAC. Today.
Seriously, this degree of service explains why we all love Richer Sounds. The business is great, and the staff are efficient and intelligent, and I am reminded why I am a loyal customer and will always buy from them if I possibly can. Sometimes, it’s easy to forget how important service is, because things do not often go wrong, but when they do, you want to be here.

Was looking for an upgrade to my current TV and tried Richer Sounds again after purchasing from there in store previously.
I spoke over the phone this time with both Toby and Damian who I believe is a manager.
A special mention to Toby however as he couldn't do enough to help.
I had a particular requirement for what ideally the TV could do and Toby came up with the perfect option.
Having completed some research myself on the TV and was extremely pleased with the suggestion and outcome.
The delivery went smoothly, calling me 15 minutes before arrival and set-up took no time at all.
Overall a great experience with no hassle.

Our trusty 18 year old CD player needed to be replaced as the CD drawer stopped working, so we returned to Richer Sounds Brighton knowing they would be able to help us find a replacement. Due to COVID times I contacted them by email and Toby got back to me within the day, arranging a date and time slot to visit. He was of great help, setting up the CD players we were interested in in their demo room and letting us try out the systems with some CDs we’d brought along. Best sound for us was on a discontinued model so we bought the discounted demo CD separate. No original box so Toby boxed it up carefully in a sturdy replacement. No remote either so he promised to search for one after we’d left. Once we got home Toby followed up with a phone call with news he’d found a remote and would post it over. Received within the week! Thank you for your excellent customer service Toby, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Richer Sounds Brighton to anyone serious about their HiFi system.

Over the years, I have bought a number of items from Richer Sounds Brighton. Damien and his team have always provided excellent service. The latest purchase was a 55" LG TV which, once we had seen it in our living room, turned out to be too big for us. No problem, I phoned Ben at Brighton and the LG was changed with no hassle to a Samsung 50" which is now installed and working beautifully.

I have been a long time satisfied customer of Richer Sounds and never disappointed with the quality of their equipment they sell and the helpful advice of the staff. It is a rare thing these days when the shop is as good if not better than their online store.

I have been a richer Sounds customer for many years. Always used the Brighton branch, always been pleased with the service and have often recommended them to friends and family. With my latest purchase Ben dealt with me from my my initial phone call to checking if items I had selected were in stock right through to the sale. Ben is an absolute credit to the company. Very knowledgeable but never pushy made sure the equipment I had chosen suited my needs. As I already had my own speakers it would have been difficult to have a true demo of the amp in store. I had chosen the Onkyo A-9010 this amp is amazing for the money no frills, just a beautifully built amp that can handle with ease anything you ask of it. I also purchased the Teac TN-350 turntable this was recommended by Ben, again the build quality is superb at this price point, looking slightly understated but performs well. Many thanks again Ben.

I purchased a Denon Turntable on line and there was a small fault on the unit, so I contacted Richer sounds (Brighton) and they immediately ordered me a replacement from another branch as it was there last one.
I explained that I was unable to bring back the faulty unit, so Damien came over personally with the replacement unit, set it up for me and took time to explain the features. What a fantastic service !

Polite and friendly staff, I have to say having done some homework first, Argos were cheaper on the same product yet Richer Sounds price label was claiming a saving of £100 at the dearer price. However they did mention they will be having some sales deals on some items this weekend coming.
I personally went for a Panasonic smart TV from a shop in Imperial Arcade adjacent to Churchill Square in Brighton.. More choice, better price and pleasant helpful staff.

Have used Richer Sounds a lot over the years, and they're always good for both value & advice, but I particularly love the guarantee.
I turned up there yesterday with a 5-year-old guarantee receipt (never claimed-on) and within 2 minutes they'd very cheerfully given me the cash back.
This is at least the second time they've refunded me a guarantee (probably the third, but it was a long time ago), and they never make it difficult - it's such a great deal: you get peace of mind on repairs for 5 years and then your money back, provided only that you set a calendar reminder and keep the paperwork.
BTW my only connection with Richer Sounds is as a happy customer

One of the best shopping experiences I've ever had. I bought a home cinema set-up. That's not a simple undertaking for most of us, and I had loads of questions. I also had to change my mind a couple of times. The screen I ordered was actually too big for the room (well, you've got to go for it haven't you? - but I had definitely overspecced). Then it turned out that projector didn't have a long-enough 'throw' to reach the screen. Upshot was that I had to change both. No problem. RS swapped them out without a quibble. Special mention must go to Ben, who very patiently and helpfully took me through the process. Every time I spoke to him, he was solid gold, and he ended every conversation with 'and if there is anything else I can help with at all, please don't hesitate to ask me.' Great stuff. Nothing is too much trouble for these guys, and they are sharp on the price as well - great on service and very good value. Can't recommend them highly enough.

You can't falt them. What I like about Richer Sounds is the staff know more about the products that I do, which is how it should be. If you go to a high street store, the staff will read you what is on the label but Richer Sounds will advise you on what is best for you . You are so much more than a sale to them.
This is a rare commodity these days but I am glad there are still businesses that prove there worth.

I have bought from Richer Sounds over the years as well as elsewhere (so you know i'm not just being a suck up!) - they have always been well informed & helpful so i like the company, but after my latest experience i now LOVE the company! After 4 years the TV i bought from then developed a fault - it's a quality make, just a bulb had gone. It came with a five year warranty (no extra charge) so i lugged it all the way to a store (never thought to ask about collection) - when it was ready I was having difficulty getting there before they shut due to work so i took a shot & asked if they would deliver it expecting they would say no - after all, it was only a repair & not a new purchase. Amazingly the chap i spoke to asked around & a chap called Hunter offered to drop it to my home. I could be wrong, but i don't imagine any other retailer would do this. Not only that but when he brought it into my property (it's only a 39 inch so i could have easily carried it) he took his shoes off (i always think that's a nice touch) & offered to fix it up for me. I declined, but what service! i already feel the quality of their goods is very high & the staff are professional but this really seals the deal for me. thanks again, Hunter!

My #1 Go To "advisors" when I need new TV or audio kit. I was sold on this company the very 1st time I called in for advice and to buy. The sales guy cut back my spend budget on the basis that I could meet my needs with less spend (most other outlets would have happily gone to my budget limit ... not these guys, that is my experience).
Have gone back to different locations over the years and have ALWAYS enjoyed the buying experience through them ... that is very important to me. I'm the sort if guy that is open to getting bitten (just the once) but these guys have my absolute trust and have always delivered.
Also their "Price Match" promise is for real. They refunded a difference to me when I found an obscure site that was currently offering a better price on the TV I bought from them.
Enjoy taking advice and buying from Richer Sounds ... I have always.

Their 'price match' offer is a bit of a con because they only price match of the other place offers warranty also... Despite online stock reporting stating they had what I wanted in stock, there was apparently none left, and as it was discontinued, as far as they were concerned, it was my fault for not calling in advance, and just believing their websites stock tracking.

Added a star as they still paid for my parking, but came out feeling I'd not received the Richer Sounds service I have got used to over the years. :(
EDIT. Since writing the review, Richer Sounds HQ got in touch, and very kindly arranged to have the item shipped to me from another store directly to me, which they dont usually do for clearance stock. They were very helpful and I couldn't have asked for a better resolution.
To reiterate, noone at Brighton was rude and my review was based on outcomes of not getting the product, not treatment by staff. Everyone was perfectly polite as always.
I have therefore changed the rating from the original 2 to 5 to reflect that final outcome of getting the item.

Helpful advice and a great selection of electronics. Over the years I've bought speakers, amplifiers, TVs and more. It gets quite busy sometimes so occasionally you have to wait but the staff always keep you informed. It's the first place I would think if I needed to purchase any electronics.

We needed to replace a broken tv and had a fairly low budget, Damien the manager expertly guided us into our new Samsung. He even knew about the shape of the tv's supporting legs and carefully made sure we ended up with the right tv for us.

Purchased a high end tv from Richer Sounds Brighton store. The set had problems with it and so was replaced, but the replacement also had issues. Damien was first class at dealing with the problems even though they were caused by the manufacturer. He ensured everything was dealt with and that I had a decent tv in the end. Damiens customer service was outstanding, something that seems to be very rare these days. Will come back and buy all my future audio visual equipment from here. Highly recommended.

On recommendation of a friend I started coming here about 15 years ago and have been coming here ever since for anything stereos/televisions etc
The staff are always very helpful, knowledgeable and genuinely seem to care. They are also unhurried which I like a lot.
Yesterday my dealings with them seemed to represent all of my experiences in one go.
This is what happened.........
I decided to buy a HD freeview box (to go with my Smart telly) so I called them to check the one I wanted was in stock. They realised the one I had selected was actually for a Freesat set-up and so redirected me. They then reserved a Humax HD freeview box which I duly picked up. It was reconditioned.
After an hour of trying to get the thing to work and after calling Richer Sounds and Humax to get help, Andre at Richer Sounds suggested I return the Box to them. When I did this I spoke about the bother it had been - having spent 10 mins on the phone to an 0844 number. The assistant manager Andre quickly remedied this by upgrading me to a brand new Humix 1Terra-bite model which was actually £70 more expensive than the model I had previously purchased. Very happy !
So thanks to Graham who had helped, the guys on the Richer Sound help-line and Andre for quickly recognising that I am an extremely loyal, long term customer that will do his shopping with them for the next 15 years too.

I'd shopped at Richer Sounds Holborn store many times and after moving to Hove bought a new Sonos system from the Brighton branch. Brilliant service from Damien and his team. Sonos is a whole new area for us but Damien went to great lengths to explain everything , even to the point of visiting our home out of hours one sunday night before we finalised the order. I was able to visit the shop before it opened to listen to the setup. Andre, who did the installation for us was quick and knew the system inside out. Altogether a great shopping experience , other stores, take note, this is how to treat customers!
