Huge store with different levels and many products from various product ranges.
The bottom floor includes house furniture, house appliances, kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, beds, garden furniture, tech, and more.
There was an unflashable lone toilet (Pic 1) which might be in a wrong place as everybody is walking by and you can see the whole store from it. (Pic 2)

I went for a bra fitting, and it was one of the best things I've done. The assistant was second to none, she had so much experience and guided me towards a product that fitted properly and made me feel great. She was friendly, not intrusive, and quite honestly, made my day! I will continue to buy my underwear with you. Many thanks.

Busy but when staff were free they were great. Bought a tv. Collected there and then. Was straight forward . They have a collection point for your items and a car parking area directly outside collection point. This is one of a few electrical/electronic purchases I’ve made from this store.I will definitely be returning to buy more.

This John Lewis is brilliant. There are 4 floors with lots of great produce.
All the staff are very helpful and the store is always clean, well stocked, bright and airy.
There is a large restraunt on the 4th floor and there is a small cafe in the basement. Very busy but that are people on hand to direct you and help to try and make the queues go quicker. Tables are always cleaned quickly. Drinks and cakes are lovely and the food is very nice.

Cribbs Causeway store. Great service mostly, J. Lewis staff helpful. We noticed a change when speaking with the Samsung TV Rep. He seemed disinterested. Tall fellow, long hair, didn't catch his name. We just noticed a contrast after the nice shop floor service with J. Lewis staff. Didn't buy a TV in the end but will shop in J. Lewis again for other items. This review is without prejudice.

Having visited the Baby & Children's Wear department in Bristol for the first time I was so impressed with the service from start to finish. Having never had a child before the idea of visiting such a department was daunting and alien to me. The entire team couldn't do any more to help and advise. This service was better than anything I've had in Harrods or other leading department stores in London. Bristol's Team is a bench mark of what service should be and JL's competition should learn from this department. Rachel and Jonathan were outstanding members of the team. Thank you. William

After a family friend from America arrived this morning to attend a funeral the following day but his luggage didn't, he obviously needed to sort the problem asap. So we took him to John Lewis's as we hoped he could get fully kitted out without too much trouble.
When searching for a shirt, he was approach by an female assistant who was simply just amazing. Within no time at all he had handfuls of clothing and she stay with him until everything was sorted. She took all the stress out of the situation with her amazing professionalism.
I really wish I'd had asked her name, but sadly didn't. John Lewis's gets a definite 5 stars but she gets 6! Wonderful, wonderful service.

Excellent service. Prices same as other stores but will always buy from here. Wide range of products. A lot of their electrical products come with longer guarantees than other stores. TV's generally have 5 years. But J Lewis is not just an electrical store it has many other departments, stocking big name brands.

I am pleased with the feminine selection and the fact that a lady can look like a lady rather than styling as a homeless/or tacky person which seems to be a trend in the majority of clothing stores. Update: 14/12/2022 - purchased a Panasonic a TX 43JX600B TV the picture was good and has great sound (for TV speakers) after a week I started to hear vibrations from the speakers like the base was too high, I did all the usual checks i.e. checked the settings, made sure all the cables were connected securely, checked the stand wasn’t loose, Did a factory reset, checked for software update’s etc etc and nothing made any difference, when you put your ears to the speakers you could hear the vibration so there was obviously something wrong with them. Now to the purpose of the review which is to talk about the aftercare support JL offer and provide. I made one phone call to John Lewis support, talked the woman through the fault and what I’ve tried to resolve it and without prompt or hesitation I was offered a replacement which I was not expecting, I honestly thought they would take the tv away and repair it. So I now have a brand new tv coming Saturday, which given its Christmas and how busy they must be is an excellent service! I hate to think the hoops I would have had to jump through if I had used a different supplier. I must say this was the reason I choose John Lewis as they have a reputation for good aftercare service and the 5 year warranty they offer on TVs, fantastic service! Let’s just hope this TV doesn’t develop A fault..

I am so happy with John Lewis! I had a faulty coffee machine but their warranty department answered the phone straight away (unusual these days) and very efficiently explained how to return it and I had the choice of a full refund or a brand new one. The broken one is being collected tomorrow from my house. Thank you - I will be buying all electricals from John Lewis from now on!

I went for a bra fitting and the lady who fitted me was very knowledgeable and made me feel at ease throughout the fitting. She found me numerous styles to try and made sure the fit was perfect. They also had a 10% discount on some of the bras. Will definitely return next time I need new bras 🙂

Not always friendly staff really depends who is serving you on the day as the service can vary. Had lunch here a few times sometimes staff are very smiling and friendly and offering to help and assist. Today had fish and chips for lunch food was great and delicious but very moany staff and didnt quite get why we wanted an extra side of chips which isn't very hard to understand. Staff bit moany today. However i commend John Lewis for the cleaning and covid safe procedures, made me feel safe. Is very busy at lunch but they manage to clean well and food is of high quality.

Unfortunately the restaurant was a shambles this lunchtime. I can understand that due to covid there are longer waiting times but there seemed to be no organisation. There seemed to be plenty of staff in the restaurant and we stood in a queue waiting to pay whilst people in front were having coffee's made, we were only having cold drinks.

Best shop in the world in my opinion. Great on value, customer service, layout, range of goods and you can trust that everything will be quality at its price point. If it's not take it back, but you will rarely need to. But it offers great peace of mind. Staff are helpful supportive and the store generally displays high standards from looking after it's staff to customer service. Just wish I could afford to do all our shopping there!

I love the selection here. While the store is large there is a lot of products to see. We went to look at their John Lewis exclusive mattresses and ended up staying and browsing around much of the store. Will be buying from there again as they offered great guarantee options.

I was very impressed with the service I received. I went in for a baby buggy and the sales assistant (Sally) could not have been more helpful. She also saved me over £150 by showing me a buggy that was half the price of the one I was going to buy and then gave me a great demonstration on how to actually use the buggy correctly. Well worth a visit.

As always ... They come too trumps when it comes to customer service ... Was trying to buy a high end laptop for my son who is at university. Product knowledge of the staff was great ... They let him try the product for good long time. Never felt rushed or pressured by the staff. A 12 month interest free option did help!

Stopped off here for lunch, it was exceedingly busy but they were quick to clear and clean and tables when people left.
There was not a lot of food on offer for gluten free, nor was there much choice of cold drink.
However the children food was nice and at a decent price - £4.50 for a sandwich, drink and 3 snacks.

Great shop. Staff usually helpful, when you can find them. Furniture selection is not up to its previous standards as seems to be going for lower price ikea style. Electronics and kitchen cookware and dinner ware are the strong points. Children’s clothing is good. Adult clothing is hit and miss, probably aimed at late middle age tweedy types. If you want red cords and brogues then this is your store. The cafe on the top floor is great, sort of views from certain tables out over surrounding areas, or down into mall. Food is good quality, though selection is limited. Great selection of cakes (though I am not into cakes myself). For ladies who lunch.

I have a soft spot from John Lewis. People in this store are really helpful and the place is always clean. I love the family toilets near the nursery aérea. The coffee shop is always busy and that says lovely food. There is a lot of free parking outside and my children loves the toy department.
Update: We had a fun cream tea at the restaurant today. Although it was a very busy day the staff had everything under control.

Sales stuff and CCP are helpful but when walking out the door tag was still on my items, lady took it straight off me and told me ‘they do this all the time’ I was trying to tell her to be subtle when giving me back the items because they are Christmas gifts and the person was with me at the time, she didn’t listen to me at all she handed the presentS straight to the person they were for. Couldn’t of been more plain told her nicely in front of her it’s a present for the person with me. Staff on the doors need to listen to there customers! My bestest buddie in the world and I visited John Lewis today in search of a new amazing foundation! We ended up at the Laura Mercier counter. We are both in the same opinion that the young man working there and unfortunately we can’t name him , gave us the best help , advice , conversation and care we have experienced in a very long time!!! In a world where the young ones are being blamed a lot and misunderstood I can honestly say he was a credit to not only Laura Mercier but to John Lewis and the youth of today. Great job young man , you managed to banter with two very tricky , wise , fussy and brutally honest not so young ladies and force me into a sale I was totally not going to make !!! Thank you and I truly hope you go far because you go the extra 10 miles !!!

I love this shop all the staff are knowledgeable and friendly without being in your face. I recently bought a new TV here and saved £50 on their price match promise. The never knowingly undersold promise is brilliant and any purchase over £30 is free! That and click and collect at Waitrose stores as well make shopping there or online a pleasure.

Close to 5 stars not really sure why not but not quite worth it. Good disabled parking and access, decent cafe. It's quite a large store and is well stocked. As usual for John Lewis the staff are almost always professional, and there is a useful "click and collect" style pick up point where you can park just outside.

Gone downhill. Whilst still a good store compared with other local stores, the knowledge and helpfulness of the sales staff in electrical is sadly not what it used to be. I have been shopping here for over 30 years and understand staff would have changed in this time. Unfortunately after having problems with a couple of recent purchases it was hard work getting things resolved. I ended up getting a refund because of their inability to put things right.

This was the first time I have shopped at John Lewis, and I was impressed by the quality of the merchandise. It seems to cater for an older and affluent set of customers: what other store would have a whole set of shelves devoted to bone-handled cutlery? But my shopping experience was not great. With our granddaughter's wedding just weeks away I booked an appointment with John Lewis for a Style Experience.
Greeted at the top of the escalator by a smiling lady, (sorry I didn't ask her name). She escorted me along to a pleasant room to meet my personal stylist Julie. From there on I was treated with utmost care and attention and felt very special indeed. After trying on a few dresses and jackets Julie came in with exactly the right outfit for me. At no time was there any pressure for me to buy from what was a good array of clothes.
I won't reveal anything about my choice but it was perfect in every way, including a striking fascinator. Now i can't wait for the day to arrive, and thanks to John Lewis and Julie in particular; I know I will be happy to share in our granddaughter's special day.
I have no hesitation in recommending this FREE service to anyone else like me; in a quandary about what to wear for a special occasion.

Went in looking for fitness trackers with my boyfriend and were greeted by a young staff member named 'Joe' from electricals that listned told us everything (and more) that we needed to know about the pros and cons of each one we looked at. He also told us how we could have different branded watches yet still be able to see how each other was getting on via a 3rd party app, which was the make or break of our decision to purchase the watches - as partner likes apple, I do not, we wanted different brands. He didn't try to upsell, like one of the older staff members that wasn't listening to our criteria and just kept redirecting us to more expensive items that were not suitable for us. The John Lewis customer service system is not easy to deal with: calls are just diverted to any one of their call centres, despite dialing the number for my nearby store, most answering the phones are polite, but limited in what they can do.
However, managed to find the number of the distribution centre where my item was located, spoke to a manager who simply and straightforwardly said he would see what he could do, phoned me back a couple of hours later to say he had managed to sort a driver and a van and my item would be delivered in about an hour ... and indeed it was!

Shoppers, myself included, at John Lewis are aware that it's a good place to shop. Delivery, however, is another matter. Ordered a fridge/freezer in shop and arranged delivery for Friday. Despite the delivery slot being confirmed, the delivery failed to happen; received a phone call at the 11th hour to say the driver had run out of driving hours. Have spent a good two hours on the phone this morning (Saturday) trying to understand the John Lewis delivery system, whereby a failed delivery means that they offer you a new delivery for several days time. Unfortunately our circumstances mean that we needed the delivery to happen today (Saturday) ... many drivers "out sick" at the moment! They seem to have no contingency plan to deal with failed delivery: surely good customer service following a failed delivery would be to get the item delivered as a matter of priory. After looking to purchase the latest iPad pro and searching the internet and the local apple store I was unable to beat the offer with John Lewis. We went to John Lewis for a new TV. It was a very good experience. We were able to have a go on the TV when we asked about it, they were very informative but not pushy. The TV's were connected to the internet and TV aerial (as most places just run the demos and don't have it connected).
They also have a lot of different brands of soundbar plugged in and ready to demo as loud as we'd like.
They priced matched the TV to a place I found online (which wasn't an online only shop) and the guys were really nice when the stuff we had bough didn't fit in the car and arranged free delivery.
Also the TV came with a 5 year warranty from John Lewis. I would buy from there again.

We went to buy a kettle…and bought one. Successful mission! The staff left us in peace and allowed us to make up our own minds
This we did by scientifically testing the various kettles on display. Points were deducted from those with extreme lid opening actions, hard to read gauges and spouts which were too small to fill from an imaginary tap. Once we'd found the perfect kettle we looked at the extortionate price and decided to buy a cheaper Bosch one with a tiny spout, gauge you can only see with a mirror and lid which flips up like an ironing board falling down the stairs
I'm also disappointed by the noise this new one makes-it's LOUD and I fear the neighbours may hear when it is boiling and invite themselves round for a cupatea

I can say with no hesitation that each and every store I have visited, throughout the contry has exceeded my very high expectations, we all make mistakes and accidents happen, however, JLP put them right every time with no fuss or exception.
