A nice, clean, Covid safe place to shop. This branch also has the benefit of a small Iceland inside. My only criticism is that it can be quite difficult to find ordinary everyday items such as plastic food boxes, amongst all the beautiful items for sale in there. I've often wondered why the Range doesn't have an designated kitchen essentials set out. It would make shopping so much easier.

It was much too hot upstairs - several people had taken coats off. Pricing was poor as a number of items weren't priced at all and some were not showing the reduced prices. It's no good saying that the reduced price will come up at the checkout if you don't know it's reduced to start with.

Fantastic range (pun intended) of products and I appreciate the later opening hours plus the Iceland in store.

A great variety of stock from home goods, to frozen food. Items from Harry Ramsden's, Ed's Easy Diner, TGI Friday's and other can be found in the frozen food section. There's plenty of kids craft stuff upstairs along with furniture and an Iceland Café. Upstairs you can also find some furniture and around the Christmas period it's transformed into a winter wonderland with lots of lights and moveable ornaments to browse. On the ground level you can find lots of home goods such as curtains, bedding, mirrors, pictures, pet food / toys amongst car cleaning and detailing. A selection of lights and paints too. Outside you can find the garden section.

Brilliant anything u need they have house hold goods wide range of products. Theres a garden department. Iceland is in the shop as well .animal products. And if u like Christmas and Halloween u have to go the range of products is unbelievable well impressed

We love this shop. It just has so many of the things we like and use. From crafting items & balloons to camping gear and dog treats. There's even an in-store Iceland!! Loads of free parking too. In addition the using is marshalled and ample sanitiser etc so you feel safe. Great shop.

Visited on the 1st Sunday after lockdown and didnt have to queue to get in. A lot quieter than expected. Most items seemed to have plenty stock but I was disappointed with the size of the furniture section. Most of the displays consisted of chipped furniture which didn't bode well on the resilience of the furniture on every day wear and tear.

Fabulous superstore that sells everything for home, leisure & craft. The quality of the products is excellent as well as competitively priced in relation to other similar stores. It's really wonderful to have a really decent multi-craft supplies & retail shop in Durham. The staff here are really nice, friendly and helpful. However, I really don't understand why there is an Iceland situated inside the store, when there is a perfectly decent Iceland just accross the road! But thanks for The Range, Durham; I love the shop. ☺️

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with The Range. I go as the products on sale are of good quality and reasonably priced. They have practically everything you need. However, I end up buying more things that went in for and spending more money! 😆. Lovely staff, always service with a smile no matter what branch I go into. 😀

First time in there today. Great range of good quality products. The Xmas department is excellent. Only let down was that it took ages to get through the tills, hence four stars. I think they should have installed more tills, or have a few "express" tills.

First visit and was pleasantly surprised. Great range (no pun intended) and reasonably priced too. The addition of Iceland is a little confusing as there is an Iceland within 150 yards but it kind of works? The cafe is a great addition serving Costa Coffee and Iceland food served there and all reasonably priced too. I would say though, leave plenty of time for your visit because there is a lot to see!

Conflicted about my experience at this store, hence the three stars. Went in at about 6pm to avoid large crowds. Downstairs the staff couldn't be more helpful (although were not adhering to social distancing but I'll let them off because the aisles are small). Upstairs felt like a ghost town as I was completely ignored when I asked for help and on one occasion a staff member actually ran away from me down the escalator when I approached him. My (profoundly deaf) mother was dismissed rudely by a staff member when asking a question about a toaster. However, the girl that served us at the till was lovely and really helpful when we asked questions. Overall it wasn't awful as we got everything we needed and had all our queries answered but it could have been better.

This is a new facility, and I haven't been to the range since 2006 when I was moving in with my ex and we needed new curtains Came here today to buy some are supplies for some kid's homework. The store was rammed, both with stuff and with people. It has am integrated Iceland, the frozen food supermarket, which was unexpected and unutilised on this occasion. Looks good though!

I’ve never heard of The Range until a conversation with a friend recommended it as a place to source garden furniture and inflatable hot tubs from. We checked out the website and then paid a visit. The store has loads of items and is relatively easy to get to. Not as close to us as Homebase used to be at the Arnison centre, but we now have an equivalent. Bonus in that there’s an Iceland inside to pick up some food/drink items too.

Well....my daughter and I have prayed long and hard for the Range to come to Durham. And it's here. But sadly because it's nearly Xmas, the car park was full and we needed a disabled space. There's a few to the left of the main door, but maybe a few more to the right of the door would help. My biggest bugbear though, was, there's nowhere to leave the trolley while you're having a cuppa. There's a bit on the left, where you could put them, if you're willing to move a few tables. Please think about it. Oh and the lift could've been a bit bigger. There's plenty of room.

Great store, great staff. Although the ques were horrendous, the girl in Iceland (didn’t catch her name) with very short hair, is fantastic! Not only did she stop what she was doing to help me find paint which wasn’t her department, she carried it to the que for me as I had a broken leg and couldn’t carry it myself. What a lovely bubbly girl. Made the que slightly more bareable after top customer service. :) will definitely be coming back.

Sunday afternoon, 1st Dec. It was manic. Christmas stock was selling out fast but the shelves weren't being restocked. The queuing at the tills was half way round the store with people abandoning baskets everywhere because service was so slow. That said, it is a new store and is bound to have a few hiccups while the staff find their bearings. It does have the same great choice of products that the range is well known for so defo worth checking out 👍

Went to The Range Durham on it's opening day... absolute bedlam!! Like the whole of the Northeast turned up at the same time!! Lol... once the novelty has worn off with the people of Durham that they have a Range shop of their own and don't have to go to Sunderland or Gateshead Metrocentre Retail Park then this is a fantastic shop... all of the Range's usual departments within the shop with an added bonus of a little Iceland food department within it. The cafe is not the usual Dee Dees cafe but an Iceland cafe (which was too busy at the time to try it out)... there seemed to be much more choice than the Sunderland store ... well worth a look about! Looking forward to another venture over today to get a better look without, hopefully, the amount of crowds!!
