Returned to this business after twenty plus years to replace the last amp I bought from them. Everything was explained to me and a hassle free demo was arranged with my existing speakers. Coming from a high end sales background myself I appreciated the unbiased advice I was given and the time spent with me by John. I was purchasing something I knew just the basics about but after explaining my requirements, a piece of kit was recommended and demo'd to me that was approx half the budget I had intended to spend but fitted my needs perfectly. I contacted Hi-Fi Corner with an enquiry about bluetooth headphones. I was asked a series of questions to establish which cans would best suit my needs. I was then given a list of headphones and advised on the pro's and cons of all of them. The chap who advised me (John) was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Purchased a new Sonos speaker from them at the start of January, unfortunately it was not in stock when I ordered it. I promptly spoke to John who apologised and gave me 10% off for the inconvenience! All retailers are currently experiencing issues with getting stock for the Sonos Arc, so it’s unfortunately out of Hi-Fi Corners hands. The communication and customer service is second to none though, I will be purchasing all of my sound equipment through these guys in the future as the service is so good. Highly recommend using this company!

Very aesthetically pleasing store. Have a wide selection of brands and equipment. I bought headphones there at around a 20% discount (of RRP) which was a big saving. Spoke to a few employees there who were very helpful in explaining their finance options and gave me a call back when they said they would. All in all a great, 5/5 experience

I was looking online for a specific stereo amp and Hi-fi Corner came up in search. After getting in touch with Tom and a bit email chat he suggested a brand I had not considered. Basically to cut a long story short Tom not only sorted me out with a fantastic Naim XS3 but also answered a lot of my mundane questions without any pressure of a sale. When the sale did come it was with lack of a demo on a trial or return basis. BTW from a post on AV Forums on selecting an amp Toms name was mentioned twice for advice and service.

Excellent company to do business with. When there was a glitch with a faulty AV which was new and boxed and so they couldn't possibly know was an issue, they immediately replaced it. This is a great place to buy vinyl, they seem to constantly have a 20% off records sale. The equipment is top quality and brands you would know and a lot you wouldn't! I spoke to Gerry who says most of the stuff they sell is made in the UK - at least we still make something aye!!

Well, I was looking for a hi fi system , they were very helpful. What can you expect? They are high end of the scale units. Starting price for speakers around £500 each, amplifiers around £1500. By appointment you could listen to their various speakers and amplifiers. Parking is not the best as they have a couple of public slots just outside with most spaces around the nearby streets for ticket holders only.

Visited HIFI corner in Edinburgh whilst on a weekend break in November. The company was recommended by a very good friend who has bought several items over the tears from this shop. I was asked what I wanted and then a demonstration was given. There was no high pressure sales just knowledgeable, friendly professional advice. I was given a price and left without purchasing anything. After having a look and listen to other equipment at other companies in the Newcastle I went back to HiFI corner to purchase my new HIFI. I purchased an amplifier, turntable, Sonos connect (to allow multi room streaming) speaker cable and and album cleaner. Delivers when stated and follow up all to see that everything was working and set up was ok. Excellent service and great price. I believe it says how good service and price were when you travel from Newcastle to Edinburgh to buy a HIFI. Highly recommended.

Fantastic customer service from Struan at Hi-Fi Corner and the tech boffins at Melco who helped to recover a badly corrupted NAS drive, rescue my music library and transfer it onto a new Melco music server. I didn't fancy ripping over 1000 CDs again!
