Reviews of The Range, Edinburgh
I spotted a dark green toaster on display but none boxed on the shelf. I had a green kettle and hoped to match. ‘No we can’t sell the one from the display shelf’!!!
However, after pestering for weeks and dealing with a lovely sounding lady called Margaret, a young man called Steven found some in a depot and ordered me one. Today I’m the very happy owner of a dark green toaster.
If you have never visited The Range, do so! They sell everything.
All in one place for younger to elders
Ample parking space with wheelchair accessible entrance. Friendly knowledgeable staff ready to help you anytime.
Moms will have Kitchen to bedroom all furniture and accessories at one roof.
Interested in Gardening then should not miss garden section.
Dads will be happy with all DIY and Christmas decorations at one place.
Kids will love the Art, decoration and toys section.
Don't miss to get ready to eat food from Iceland after bags full of shopping.
Hope you will enjoy this place.
Cheers.
Staff is lovely, not the cheapest of stores but they sell a lot of stuff you can't find anywhere else locally so that's always a good thing, it's the type of store you usually visit once or twice during the year then about 4/5 times a week during Christmas 🤣
This place is fantastic! Everything you can think of all under 1 roof... even a wee coffee shop with nice food at a reasonable price. Iceland too...well worth a visit or 2!
I was just at the range edinburgh and omg it was absolutely freezing, it was actually colder in there than outside, I said to the lady at the checkout and she said they have had no heating in the store for over 5weeks and then I noticed the staff at the checkout were all wearing gloves, scarfs and heavy warm jackets they all looked frozen, the worker said the management are not interested and making them work in these conditions, come on get those poor workers some heating, let's get this viral noone should have to work like that
Amazing selection of products from soft furnishings furniture Any thing for the home Wee cheeky cuppa at in-store cafe Garden centre Food and freezer stuff too 👍
Good selection of homewares, although it doesn't always match up with website. Iceland and cafe are pretty good instore additions.
It's has Ample Parking, easy to Acess carpark, store is a Disabled Frieandly as possible, there is a small Cafe.
Out side there is a Garden products area, from slabs to water Features, worth a stop, as other Shops and Mc Donalds in area, then only short drive to Portabelo beach.
I could spend all day in this place! Fantastic range of products to cater to the majority of tastes! They have a cafe which is great as it gives you the option for a coffee break, given this shop is callosal.
My husband and I were looking for a water feature for the garden we made our choice but could not find a boxed item, we were assisted by a lovely chap called Murray, he could not have been better, I recommend him for some kind of recognition. He arranged the purchase a wheeled it out to our car. Very polite and considerate. Love the Range buy most things there or Amazon.
It's not a place that Iam keen on anyway but I was there with my daughter and son in law.now she has to use a electric wheelchair but there is not a lot of room in the shop and even more awkward when you want to pay for anything as there was hardly any space to try and turn and try to get to the checkouts. Not disable friendly.
This is the best shop ever, I love it here, you get beautiful things, all at fraction of prices elsewhere, I spend a fortune though, I can't resist it, the staff are lovely all welcoming and helpful
I was pleasantly surprised by the size of this range. They have a good range of art supplies and some beautiful Christmas decorations.
Yes very good lots of stuff was looking for a bathroom corner unit with mirror but they did not have one so will have to look elsewhere
The most general of general stores, this is meant in a positive sense, most things relating to home furnishings, gardening, kitchen appliances and installation, toys and miscellaneous items can be purchased, layout a little chaotic hence the reason for reduction of star
Pricing not too bad but many empty shelves and hard to find pricing on some items. Not what is was.
There was plenty to view,I was hoping to buy a Christmas Shirt for a male friend, sadly they had none,I was also hoping for more card making craft but was happy with what I bought at a very reasonable price
It's overwhelmingly large and sells a lot different things: craft, DIY, home decor, sweets to name but a few
Large store - congested with stock laying about. Not that easy to navigate and unhelpful staff on the shop floor.
There are bargains to be had if you can be bothered to search then out.
Good shop and been ages since we have been. Good range of products and decent price as well.
Starting to show its age, beginning to see large queues forming and decreased staff morale. Looking overworked and store presentation suffering.
Was shopping about 17:30 on a weekday and it was fairly quiet.
Thought I would mention, the store has indoor toilets. Also has an indoor cafe (which was closed). They have an indoor Iceland, but it is by Iceland name only. In other words, an Iceland Clubcard is of no use. If anyone wants any current Iceland offers, I would suggest visiting an Iceland (or Food warehouse).
Overall, a decent store and good service.
I went in looking for one thing and came out with a big bag full of wool and a reduced learning pack for one of my granddaughters. Didn't find what I needed, but now have supplies to knit warm things such as knee rugs, hats and scarves for our church November Fair. Just wish I'd had more free time to wander round.
Very large store with a vast amount to choose from. Even a iceland in store. Good coffee shop. Excellent parking.
Had a issue with something we bought ,but the lady at costumer service was great sorted it no problem
Great shopping place and you can find almost everything you need there.
Lots of choice and some good prices, although the shop a bit messy and Halloween sales of not very good value. Also the cafe was closed.
Perfect shop , love it!!
Excellent customer service when I asked for a price on a gaming chair the young lad came with me, took down the code, found the price then carried it to the checkout for when I was ready to leave.
He also kindly took it to my car. He was so lovely and friendly to both me and my son. Unfortunately I didn’t get him name but he should be praised for his hard work and great attitude.
I spent much more than I intended on things for my granddaughter's new house, but she's happy.
Big shop with everything under one roof. Great prices with a small Iceland in it.
Definitely recommend
Great selection of very reasonably priced items. Amazing selection of artificial flowers and plants 🪴 and photo frames are terrific. I asked for a display lamp to be discounted as it had a few wee marks and was delighted with my 20% discounted. I'll be back
Great choice of products for great value. You can spend quite a bit of time here and the staff are friendly.
So many items for every part of the house and garden tools pictures toys brilliant shop
Too many items without prices, especially the fake flowers. Myself and two other shoppers put them back due to this after we chatted about it. Very frustrating and a theme throughout the shop.
Great shop with everything you could possibly need and more. The Christmas decorations and lights are fab and the home furnishings you can get in here is endless. I bought a lot from here for my wedding in the summer. Staff could do with being a bit more helpful although there is 1 Spanish lady who is lovely and more than helpful
Still a fantastic shop .... however you can see the standards slipping .things not priced ,untidy ,not much staff around either .
It's not very well organized we bought a kitchen table and chairs its was priced was priced wrong not impressed the way it was handled
It is a good place to shop for various household items and more.
Good variety of products available off the shelf, handy Iceland in the store too
There today 2nd Oct and it was heaving Christmas stuff bahumbug customer's not happy with an amputee trying to get passed the que got asked what I was doing
Love the range its like a day out haha
Like this shop, has such a great variety of items.
Nice stuff and variety of products just thought some stuff it's a bit too expensive
This is a great place, it's a one stop shop with everything you could want.
One person on the till and a big Q and 4 members of staff hanging around doing nothing put more staff on the tills when busy
Brilliant one of my best places to go . Great for a coffee stop
Great place to find everything you need for your house!
Love wilkos for all my cleaning products. Only problem is, I always spend more than I intend because they have many more items and great choice of many other things. My go to place for household items, bird food and doggy treats.
Massive store with a huge variety. Often quite messy though and lots of price tickets missing.
I went in for a browse as never been before. The craft stuff they have is tremendous. I also bought foot and hand masks and car mats all at brilliant prices. Shop was clean and reasonably well laid out.
We have literally styled our whole house from here, great shop!
Awesome shop … a place where you can get everything you need 😎
Great place that has everything. Worth a visit.
Not as great as it once was but still a good shop
It seems that whatever I need for the house, I can find here, friendly staff, usually not too busy, easy parking and access.
Everything you need here at fantastic prices
Convenient. Big Selection. Friendly Staff. Great prices.
Love shopping here load of variety xx
Great cafe for a light snack and we always see something we need in the shop
Found DIY materials that I wanted which were cheaper than at B& Q.
lots of trinkets and gizmos, you can basically find anything here
Nice store and helpful staff....
Park and ride too....
Lots of fun choices to purchase for home improvement.
Excellent found the mirror 🪞 that I was looking for and at a good price
A rare treat to visit! A place you need to have no pressing timetable. There's so much to see and virtually everything in one place! A wee coffee section to sit and possibly refuel before going back in and explore more!
Perfectly good store. Could do with more staff though. Sometimes hard to find an assistant and queues can get long
Great shop near every thing you're looking for.
Lot also on line.
Store is a bit all over the place with Xmas not many staff to help
Does what it says on the tin, large store home goods. Massive range of goods.
Helpful staff and great prices
Great prices and nearly everything you could ever ask for
Great assortment of everything. From food to sheds. It's really "The Range". From screws, to watercolour. From pillows to bespoke kitchens. There's a parking lot.
Layout at the tills much better know it's one queue, staff all seemed to know what they were doing which was a pleasant change, shame the customers are largely mannerless aholes
Great ideas, great selection of goods. Not easy to find items which were on display. There were very few members of staff to ask and when I found someone they didn't know. There was a young chap working near summer garden stuff who was very helpful and if he couldn't see it would go and check. Nothing was to much bother.
Lady on checkout wasn't very pleasant.
Good products excellent prices.
Nice and quiet between 7-8pm. Great for art supplies and craft stuff. Love their home and DIY range too. Overall you can pretty much find anything you need there at mid range prices.
Staff were very supportive in helping us find what we needed and went the extra mile in climbing to the top of a ladder to provide us with the display Christmas Tree lights as they had sold out of the one we wanted. We also got a 10% discount :-)
Always has the craft items I'm after
Brilliant got everything you need plus great sale on
Absolutely great Christmas bargains
My returns were dealt with quickly, no questions. Good customer service.
Always happy to wander around this shop. Always end up buying more than I went into the shop for as they have some lovely and different things there .
You can find every single item you desire at an amazing price!
One of the best for their range (excuse the pun) for curtains. They have just about anything one would require for setting up a home and not over priced either.
Lots of home accessories. A bit of everything really. Arts, crafts, toys, lighting, pet food, camping, garden and an Iceland inside as well. But it's mostly low end, last a year or two and that's it and the low prices reflect that
We always find something to buy so worth a visit if your passing. Staff are very pleasant, its very clean, well lit and lots of stock. Covid distancing measures are in place and observed.
When I shopped here, I was only looking for one small item. So did not get a trolley. However, I ended up buying large bags of compost. I had no coins to unlock the trolley, but a member of staff loaned me a token to permit me to complete my purchase and get the item to the car. A nice little gesture. Otherwise, not a very interesting visit.
As every year beat deal on bright star fireworks
Store itself had all I was looking for but the cafe was a total let down. Nothing on the menu was available. Only one person servings. Must give him his due he was doing his best.
As a disabled person in a wheelchair I was astounded at the lack of help from the staff!!! Most either ignored us when we asked them something or they didn't know. A complete lack of training. Most walked past us when my friend and I were trying to attach the disabled wheelchair trolley. The two staff members who tried to help had no clue but we managed eventually to fix the wheelchair trolley. Not much help was given as the check out it was a tight space because of the covid screens. Not much help at all by staff. So not impressed. They all need disabled staff training. But the products on offer are quality good and a nice price. All on the ground floor but Isles some very cluttered with products. On the whole not a good experience!!!! Very disappointed. So be prepared if your disabled especially in a wheelchair for not much staff help. It wasent busy so that was not an excuse, it was very quiet.
Just love walking around getting most of the things that l wanted from a large selection of choices. They stock a wide range of products including fresh and frozen products. You can buy a pint of milk to a new kitchen or suite. Xx
Its got alot on offer however for disabled people who use mobility scooters your limited on were to go and exit is narrow as u enter and exit the checkouts. Getting turned is difficult especially in the main area for freezers in iceland. But if you have no mobility issues then your ok but rest of us need to endure the checkouts and isles in iceland.
Massive store with plenty of items and friendly staff
Massive shop that sells just about everything, the choice of items is brilliant and the housewares section is amazing. High end looking items for bargain prices. I'll be going back again and again.
Just magic! Ham, egg and chips were phenomenal. Wife had bbq lobster. Cocktails and service perfect. They don't lose a star for the Scottish weather (big brollies in garden). Just brilliant
Great store, terrible Café staff.
Everything has just been moved which caused a bit of confusion and made our time in there longer than we wanted. Even the staff didn't know where stuff was. Found everything we wanted though stock was low I think we got the last of everything. Iceland being in there was handy meant we didn't need to use two shops. Staff were friendly and helpful we went around 6pm on a Wednesday night so was quiet.
Good selection of art materials - reasonably priced, as well as all sorts of stuff for the home and garden. Plenty of parking. Will be nice when their cafe reopens, as I normally park my husband there (with a coffee & a cheese toastie) while I browse the shop.
Placed an order on line which on our visit to the store was out of stock. Item arrived a few days later by courier. Good service. Store assistant was most helpful. Will definitely be back soon.
Huge range of products, from home decor to furniture, electrical, linen, etc. The staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions promptly. The products are of great quality, which makes for good value for money. We got there by bus and still find it very easy to access the premises. Will definitely visit again!
Great place full of all the little things you need when starting out. Our four year old loved the Christmas decorations and trees who would have thought Christmas before Halloween. Nice to see an Iceland store within the site.
We had superb service from the Edinburgh store who managed to sort out a problem with an online purchase. Having got no satisfaction from trying to contact head office, they sorted us out although technically it was not their pro lem. Many thanks to Paul and Dean. Well stocked store and all staff helpful
One of those shops where you go in to purchase one thing and leave with a pile of things you never thought that you needed. Still can't work out why they have an Iceland frozen food section, but did end up buying icecream. Shop was reasonably quiet, but still had to queue to get served.
Need to sort out there t&c about collection. Told me I could not pick up a parcel for my wife even with her id. They said she needs to come in person. Read t&c and it clearly states bring the id of the person your collecting for. Got my parcel and told them to change the t&c. They said each individual store makes there own rules. Crazy
V well organised but sadly after waiting in the Q the shop shelves were almost empty. They seemed to have very low stocks of most things. On saying that I was assisted by a v kind and helpful gentleman who worked at the home baking section. Who went above and beyond with his service. Also must add a great deal of the items were not priced in example the pestle and mortar .
Great place for everything for the house/flat at keen prices. The store is very large and has all sorts of goods to decorate and furnish your home. Good prices on paint for decorating, and lots of brushes and rollers to apply it! Good for small quantities of screws in bags at sensible prices also, unlike other places. Large car park and easy access.
The range was good. I didn't manage to purchase anything on the day but I saw many great items at affordable prices and that's when I noticed that their advertisement is not very popular on the social media, so people wouldn't know about what's in store but I'm sure they are already working on that. The range is still exceptionally decorated , it would catch the eye of anyone with home incentives in their reformed mind. Thanks.
Enjoyed this shopping experience during Covid-19. Excellent procedures for keeping everyone safe. Variety of products is really good - prices are variable. Some I feel are excellent value for money; others not.
First time in this shop. Impressed with variety of goods for the house. Also has iceland food area. Cafe menu had breakfast and lunch, toasties etc reasonably priced.
Shops ok but trying to get help when you spot product that you like, is difficult. And even then they can't tell you when they'll get it in again. But shop it well laid out though is handy having Iceland in store too
Huge store with massive variety in goods. Loads of unique home decor and hobby items. Aquarium and reptile furniture at the back of the store is nicely stocked, at competitive prices.
Staff aren't annoying or pestering, but there's always someone nearby able to help you if needed. :)
It's the Range. It does what the Range does. If that's what you want, that's what you'll get.
Excellent! Got lots of selection when you are looking at craft/ card making accessories. The prices are competitive too. There were many stickers "happy birthday" "thank you" etc that I have already but the vast option of colours was great. I could have spent a whole day in the range. I didn't get round all the department's as the premises are huge!
There are toys, some food, pets accessories, photo frames, posters and many notebooks, stationary and canvas wall art. Art supplies look plentiful. There's even household furniture, such as couches and lamps. There also includes garden furniture.
There's several storage furniture options. For children and adults. Small cabinets, drawers and lamps.
I was really impressed by the space, availability. The prices are competitive and there are also offers on.
There is a key cutting facility available, 3 for £10. Home delivery is an option I believe and collect in-store.
Great for little bits for your home
Excellent customer service - Helpful man cut 3 keys for me using the key machine, he provided a great efficient friendly service. You can get keys cut up to closing time which on Sat it was 8pm. There is a deal which cost £10 for all 3 keys. Excellent value compared with other places. Would recommend this store.
Can’t be sure that the product you saw a few days ago will be there when you go back but their prices are usually good. There’s always a slow moving queue at the tills though.
The customer assistant named Ellen was really really helpful in store today (07.03.21) @1730-1800. Her product knowledge, kindness and compassion is exemplary. She is a real asset to the store.
Please pass on my compliments to her.
I love the Range. They have a brilliant selection of spices in large containers. Bedding department always has something for me. Household is full of things you don't need but desperately want. My friend and I spend a couple of hours here easily
You can go in to the range thinking, I'm just looking....but every time you open your purse to pay for something. Never fails.
We went in a week ago just to look but as you go round there are offers, oh I could do with this and that...and before you know it like myself I had spent £40. Sells everything and to keep you in the store you can even have lunch. So they have..material..curtains..bedding..glassware pottery and pictures to put on the wall. Mirrors, kitchen utensils and you can if you would like to brighten up the kitchen different coulors of items. Furniture, beds, cabinets, paint, tables, cutlery table mats.... also toys and beside aft craft items there are children's craft areas as well. Children's furniture for the garden. I'm the summer months they have a multitude of garden furniture and items ornamental which can also be purchased. Garden section and go out side they have plants. You can see why I only spent a little but much more can be spent. Clean....the area for eating is spotless and also toilets are spotless. Don't miss it....great shop.
This shop has a good range of home decors, lighting, kitchen items - cooking and baking, car accesories, garden must-buys and lots more. Their stocks adapt well by the season too. All reasonably priced, to add and very nice staff. And if you got tired of shopping, you can relax at their cafe.
Very spacious store with everything you need at home. Quite cheap and good quality things. Photo frames, mirrors definitally cheaper than in most of the shops and it doest look like s*** that will fall apart in few days. Some basic car parts. All you need for Christmas or any celebration in fact. Good if you need notebooks or school stuff. I really like that shops.
Shop looking very festive. Delighted to see the cafe was open although many table and chairs had been removed for safety. The downside was ofcourse having to queue which I find difficult with my bad back. Walked alongside the building to catch a bus and didn't feel very safe as the bushes were so overgrown, went be back unless I get a lift from someone. The worse thing was I spotted a dead rat on the path which reaffirmed I won't be going that way again.
Brilliant place to go out for the day its got everything 10+
Great range of products from seasonal, to houshold to pets and more. Fantastic prices. Ample parking, easy to find and helpful staff. Highly recommend. Nice did aisles for buggies and wheelchairs to and lots of disabled parking available.
This store has a very large arts and craft section and is significantly cheaper than its nearest well known rival. It sells many other things but I'm mostly into making a mess.
The store was clean, staff were very friendly and I'll definitely be back.
It's been a while since I visited the Range and I'm so glad I did. Compared to the stores I'd just come from at Fort Kinnaird, the Range was much more low key with all the Christmas lights & annoying music. I found it to be an enjoyable experience with a wide selection of items most of which were a bit cheaper than the same product elsewhere. I was particularly impressed with their garden statues. Loved this big buddha!
Really good choice with fairly low pruces
Good selection of home decor items and craft ideas . Would be nice s if cafe stayed open untill the store closed.would have loved a nice cuppa after finished shopping went on public transport so a break and a seat would have been appreciated before the longish walk back to bus stop good value shop especially on mirrors and lights of all descriptions. Will be back again.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE the craft range... great choice, great ideas, great prices.... happy bunny
I drove across town to pick up an airbed. This was my first time at The Range and will not be the last. The store is huge and has a really extensive selection of things for inside the home but a great pet section and garden section. They also have furnishings you wouldn't see anywhere else.
It's a dangerous place ;) You can find everything here. Great place to get some DIY supplies and inspiration.
There is plenty in store at the Range which is huge!! Especially for the home, furniture, photo frames, too many to mention, even some boots and clothes. Even a cafe. So you can spend quite a bit of time here but it's a nice store. Large car park and train station within walking distance approx 5-10 minutes.
You can always find something here that you didn't realise you needed in your life 😀 There is a great range of bedding, home furnishings, art supplies, garden plants and so on. The customer service is second to none and any staff I've spoken with are friendly and engaging. Highly recommend a visit.
Its great as a store . You find everything you need for the house. Kitchen, bathroom, decorations. Etc. Most of them are cheaper than other shops. The only down is that I found bath towels mire expensive tha TK Maxx even if the quality was lower
Good selection of items but this store is pretty disorganised at times. Quite bad for things being wrongly priced or not priced at all. Empty patches of shelves, in particular the car spray paint, somebody needs to pull their finger out with that section. Having been in 3 other stores, this one is way behind and could do with having somebody in charge that knows what they're doing.
This shop is pretty good for all things home, garden, DIY, kids toys, arts supplies, pet stuff and outdoors equipment and clothing. Prices are reasonable. There is a cafe inside towards the back. It has good opening hours and is great for an evening shop/browse as it's not at all busy!
Excellent staff, well presented store.
Great store lots to choose from for the home and garden and now has an Iceland
When i asked two members of staff about finding things my reply was just over there somewhere still didnt help finding things but two guys at the gardening bit were very helpful noticed there was a team meeting going on maybe need to add customer service in there .
A large store next to the A1 road. A very large range of household items on display. They also have a small section of clothing items. They have a small cafe on site with range of foods available. Downside is that toilets need a overhaul, not the best. Staff are very helpful and friendly.
Great variety and stylish products. Best shop for photo frames, paintings, mirrors and cat grass!!
Plenty free access car parking. Easy to locate. Great range of products but big failure on many many goods not having prices on. Every visit we have here results in holding up people behind and most of time they make the price up to suit, over or under charging is certainly most annoying. Non or incorrect pricing should be addressed before trading standards visit.
Great variety of products, amazing prices. Top bargain shop for smart buyers. Online shopping available as well with pick up options instore.
It's an OK shop. Range of household goods some pet and sport stuff. Has a small Iceland & garden center.
Very over priced café for the quality of the food.
Like a B&M or Home Bargains
Love this shop, loads of choice for any project in your home, garden even to making your own Christmas cards and decorations! They sell (almost) everything! You can have a breather in the coffee shop before continuing to the checkouts! Friendly staff who are willing to help answer your queries or even just lift something of a high shelf! Will definitely be back x
It’s ok plenty stock but a bit crowded especially now with iceland not many tills for the amount of shoppers can’t really do a big shop with out holding up the line
Great selection of everything you can think of
The range is well laid out and has a great selection of homewares. However the key cutting machine is past it's best. You could see the frustration on the staff member having to constantly reset the machine program in order to cut the 3 keys.
This place has Everything you could want or need. Really good prices too
I do a lot of shopping here. Bought my new suite and a few other things while visiting the Range. I highly recommend a visit
Of course the selection was massive and fantastic! The service I received here was fantastic: one of the staff helped me find many things, plus helped when choosing became difficult for myself and my client. Would be improved by having wheelchair trolleys, but overall I had a very positive experience!
A good range and variety of items, a very good lighting department, and a quite amazing selection of Halloween outfits masks and associated bits and bobs, best selection anywhere I've seen.
As usual, a good range of products... the only place I can find locally that has boxes of mixed birthday cards and at a very sensible price. Even better than on the internet. We'll done the Range.
Always a great selection of arts and craft supplies. This time we stopped for a bite to eat and the service in the cafe was amazing!
Nice big range with excuse the pun a great range of products. Finding stuff can be a bit hit or miss due to its quite busy and stuff fly's of the shelves but that's the same with any range, good parking and there is now a drive through Costa coffee there. It is also stones throw from kinnard park so lots of shops in the area
No problem. Bargain stuff but good range. Occasional gaps but it was pretty busy. Very largely well merchandised. Nice staff and enough of them. Been before and we'll go back.
Good items, some
Of the staff are moody though especially customer services dept.
It is what it is. Shop has some really nice lines in interior furnishing, nice garden centre too. Cafe is clean and serves Costa Coffee, so a decent brew is available as well. As an alternative to the stores at Fort kinnaird, this store is alright.
Stock was easy to find despite the shop having undergone a complete relay and the inclusion of an Iceland store. We'll worth a visit to see what bargains you might find.
It's a great big homeware shop with a big free car park. The old Big W, never seems to be busy, gotta be said their merchandise is towards the cheaper end of the market, for example I wanted some small wooden picture frames about postcard sized, they had plenty of options but I had to rake through a couple of shelves of them before I could find a matching pair that weren't chipped/scratched/damaged in some way. Despite the size of the shop I've occasionally not been able to find what I went for. Staff are really helpful though so that's a bonus.
Had a nice coffee did have what l needed but a good place to shop
This place is huge but when I went they were out of most things. We asked to get some stock into store for us but the only option was to pay fifteen pounds for home delivery. Which we thought was rather a lot as we'd have been happy collecting from the store. Anyway they failed to deliver on three separate occasions but we eventually got what we came for nearly a week later!
If your a lover of renos /decorating /design like myself it's great to find a place like this where you can go in and piece together a few ideas. Has such a good selection from A - Z. With its cafe its a great little shopping day out to spend some time. All I can recommend if they don't already have it and I'm not aware is probobly some sort of loyalty card maybe to collect points etc as with such a huge selection I could see many people this time of the year getting a lot for their money under the one roof.
I LOVED IT!! Great range of products from stationery, to decor, arts & crafts, and even a furniture and a camping section. Very affordable pricing. This is your 1-stop store, FOR SURE!!
You will get every thing you ever wanted for your Home. They have these departments;Home wares, Garden, Gallery, Toys, Leisure, Arts & crafts, Furniture, Iceland, Soft furnishing and etc pay them a visit you won't regret I love this place it's amazing!!!
Excellent choice of item take a, full say its a big store great quality and the laddie on the cash went over and above for me and she, was really busy but made sure my items were not damaged I now buy online but if you want some thing don't hesatate as it gone love this, shop price for all 💯 perc from me
Love it, the cafe is great place to have a bite to eat and the shop is huge. Lots to see, grab a trolley on the way in to save yourself going back for one.
A good place to pick up odds and ends such as gardening acruitements and soft furnishings and art boards at reasonable prices. Now has a small Iceland store attached, if that is your thing.
Great choice of stock.
Alot of items have been moved. Could not find fishing gear at all. One way system not really being followed, and the store is busy.
Not fault of the store but people loitering in areas having conversations is a pain.
Sells so much. Very efficient
Some nice stock here. Lovely artificial flowers, reasonably priced. Staff nice and checkouts well staffed.
Visited today to pick something for mum. First time been there in a while was able to buy stuff for dinner as iceland now within it.
A huge dept store and garden centre Good value home goods , toys plants and pet supplies. Good cafe with reasonable prices. Staff are pleasant and helpful.
Toilets are clean.
Good place, had to ask why a product was going thru the till at one price and the ticket and the website said another. Staff member had to ask supervisor to reduce the item to the correct price.
I love The Range, I always find what I'm looking for along with plenty of other things, I didn't know I need. I am a crafter and there is always a great choice of products to choose from. Fantastic household items and gardening.
I love the range, massive amount of stock, staff are helpful (when you can find them..), prices are actually brilliant. Only downside would be the shelves seem bare alot of the times, mostly in the toys section....
Great place. Very friendly and efficient staff.
Great range of quality and affordable goods.
Great having an Iceland branch there.
Happy to shop in The Range.
Big store plenty variety reasonably priced. Homeware kitchenware lightening dog food toys you name it the range will no doubt have it. Staff were helpful.
Great place to shop. Got everything I needed. Will definitely be back
Always a great shop to visit. Great range of products and friendly staff
Excellent variety of goods. It has a coffee shop at the back. The christmas decorations are in early just what we need to cheer us up. Highly recommend.
Do love this place, plenty parking and a wide "range" of stuff on offer. However, service could improve ever so slightly... I got to the checkout point after queuing for a looong time and one of my items didn't have a barcode so I ended up just doing without it. Partly my fault for picking it up and not checking the barcode but there was no offer for a member of staff to go and find a replacement and no option just top key in the amount. Otherwise would have been a 5* visit :)
I like going to the range because they sell everything and the price is very reasonable as well the problem is only there staff and customer service is very very down they don't really speak to the customers very nice it happened to me when I went the last time when there was a cashier both of the cashier were too busy talking to each other nobody paid attention to me I would have given a full five-star but I can't give five start because I didn't really felt like a valuable customer
This is huge place. You can get practically everything for the home. Cheap & Cheerfull!
I come for the Excellent Art & Craft materials. & a lot cheaper than the other Craft shop in Fort Kinnaid.
They also have huge garden centre.. I personally wouldn't buy plants from here as they are not looked after very well. I saw a lot of dehydrated plants brown leaves and fallen over in their racks. Such a shame to not be looked after as they should be!!?.
Just love this Store , find it reasonably priced, and their household stuff brilliant 👏
A great addition to the area. I visit quite often to by arts and crafts supplies for our Scottish Women's Institute and also for my Girl Guide group. I usually find what I need at a good price. The coffee shop is a nice addition and always seems busy. I also shop for those random household gadgets that you don't really need and often impulse buy here. They've really gone to town on Christmas each year and would be my first choice in the future for new decorations and lights. It's got to be the best range in edinburgh.
Should also take note of The Range for outdoor clothing as often have quality walkers and outdoor jackets at discounted prices. I get great comments on my winter walking coat.
Really big range of homewear and is great if you are looking to shop on a budget. Brilliant for school kids looking for back to school stationary which is the reason for my visit. 2 high school and 1 primary school child were extremely happy.
Love The Range, I could spend a day browsing here, sad I know lol. Always something new to see and prices are reasonable
Everything we needed and under one roof too. The only thing stopping 5 stars is that there is not enough signage. Overhead general signage would greatly assist people with poor mobility who are still independent (like me).
Great place to get almost anything. Furniture, ornaments, kitchen accessories, toys, camping kit, art, craft goods, a sandwich and a cup of tea, you name it. Always parking space and big enough it's never crowded.
Bit disappointed there was a floor lamp that I liked but notices the top part of the lanter was bashed so I looked through the rest of the batch unfortunately they were all the same.. asked the assistant if there's anymore she replied no . We still have to sell them at the same price..
A great place to shop only one fault I see. Could do with an online search so one can see the goods without having to go there. A friend wanted a plastic storage container to journeys now so she can see b/4 she buys just an idea
Good place for cheaper paint and paper not much a selection but worth s look if you only need a tin or a couple of rolls of paper Also good selection of Iceland frozen foods
Open during Covid also can do click & collect earlier closing times than normal but still lots of essentials in 1 place staff are helpful & social distancing & masks being used
It's usually ok but today if u use a wheelchair like my wife isles were blocked with boxes and trolleys had better days
Cheap and very cheerful. I'm never quite sure what they will have, but it's usually a good price. What out for the people that think normal driving rules don't apply to create parks.
Easy parking. Lots of different homewares and decorating products. Unfortunately they never had what I was looking for but I did find some good dog toys for my 2 dogs
Excellent choice and variety of goods at very reasonable prices. Very pleasant helpful staff. Well laid out store.
Went just before the end of the year to get Christmas decorations bargains- none !!!!!!!
Some nice things though
Big shop full of stuff. Bit schemey but aye.
Great place to go if you've just moved in to new place or titavating old, it reminds me of IKEA in its verity of product but much less like a cattle market to look around...great craft range and prices are reasonable. Four stars as it hard to find sales assistance for advice. Cafe sells Costa too! :-)
Huge with everything but the kitchen or maybe the kitchen sink too but didn't see any. Staff very helpful and one assistant helped find item I wanted and took my purchases to till. Very helpful and appreciated
Staff give conflicting advice so I came away without a sofa bed one member told me I could buy to take away and another said no it had to be ordered. Grrrrr. Also got 3 keys cut for a tenner and not one opens the door. Not happy.
Decent store with a good selection of products. The clothes section is no longer worth visiting.
Love the range, got everything you need, from paint, to duvet sets kitchenware and bathroom accessories, good quality stuff at reasonable prices also has a gardening bit at the rear with a cafe and toilets.
This place is amazing! It has almost everything for your house and home decor is my favourite. Prices are brilliant and inexpensive. I enjoy coming here everytime and I'm sure u would too! Highly recommended.
Triffik shop, so much of a range if you'll forgive that. Huge amount of furniture I think it would be great for newlyweds, although I haven't been that for 40 odd years. Good tool section and super for electrical supplies. You can usually find an assistant to help and most of these people are just like the customers. Go there ans see for yourself!
Everything you could need for your home from ornaments to bedding. Loads of toys, pet stuff, some clothes etc plus at the moment loads of Xmas trees and decorations plus nice Cafe and loads of parking.
Layout and product wise, this is one of the better Range stores. Others seem claustrophobic and have too many items squashed in narrow aisles. The prices on the whole are good, they appear to bulk buy some brands which is fine if the product is just what you're looking for. I go for the art range as the selection is as wide as specialist art/craft retailers and generally cheaper. However, the staff have very limited product knowledge so do your research before you go. The Range is definitely worth a look. The cafe....why on earth do you need over 40 covers for a basic tea/coffee microwaved panini service?
Plenty of great stuff very well priced been a few times great xmas selection
Fantastic range of product, everything you could imagine under one roof! I go for the art and crafts supplies, much wider range than anywhere else in the area. Prices are generally good compared to others, although not everything is cheaper than rrp. Only negatives are that the store is often a but messy, probably just a symptom of having so much stuff, and to some degree the staff. Don't get me wrong, staff are always courteous, but they just always seem to be on a scale from moderate disinterest to completely depressed. It makes me wonder if they have a poor working environment/terms and conditions. Zero hours contracts and the like maybe.
Other points, there is a huge car park and even a cafe inside serving Costa coffee. Brands carried in the art and craft department include: winsor and newton watercolours, oils, acrylics, and brushes, royal and langnickel brushes, Daler Rowney, American Crafts, Docrafts, Santoro, lots of die cutting brands, and of course tons of generic unbranded stuff.
Huge shop has everything you need staff could maybe a bit quicker on the tills
Very good all in one shop. Helpful staff and almost anything home related you can think of. If you have just moved into a new house worth walking around a few times to check it out.
Lots of various pretty ornamental things for the house could spend hours wondering about. Fairly priced. Lots of art and crafts things. Now the decorations for Xmas rows and rows of baubles. Pity about the awful watered down coffee in cafe.
Still Looking forward to visit again!! Nice place!
Got a few Xmas decorations and padded envelopes.
There's now Iceland frozen foods in store.
Good sized car park
Loved it! Everything you need for your home. Only went for first time last week but was so impressed. Will go again soon for sure.
Masjid Al-Aqsa is one of the holiest Islamic sites in the world. It was attacked during the last few nights of Ramadan. As hundreds of worshippers were praying. It’s atrocious. It hurts to see what our fellow Muslims are suffering thru & feeling so helpless.
Every craft catered for apart from vinyl and vinyl cutting....weird does every crafter just use die machines lol
Large shop with a bit of everything in it. Great prices and now has an Iceland built in. Car park always has plenty of spaces.
Good range of budget and some branded items. Staff short on the ground though which entailed me traipsing from the garden section at the far end of the store to the till to find prices and help ( several times.... it's a big store).
I visited the Range in late November 2019. There was a leak from the roof and buckets were left on the floor. There were no warning signs in the aisles and I nearly triped over one of them. Not very safe and disappointing, especially seing staff members busy chatting, so there is no excuses for such negligence.
Not enough staff on tills the plus the lad that served me at customer services was really nice ....l also liked that lceland is in store ......the one star off was only because of staff shortage on the tills l definitely will return
Lovely place with loads of choice
Fantastic place for loads of things
Great place for shopping for home and general goods. Fills a gap that other stores don't cover. Lots to see under one roof. Good for ideas for home and garden. Cheerful staff
Good crafting area and lots of different things to buy. Depends on what your looking for really. It now has a fitted kitchen outlet and frozen food Iceland.
Cheap... got everything... product quality matches the price.
Quite often parts of products are missing (Stolen? Broken off? I dont know) so always check before you buy!
Surprising mixture of stuff available, somewhat funny layout. Lots of tableware, household items, furniture and Christmas decoration! And crisps/ snacks I haven't seen anywhere else.
A massive store with a wide range of products and helpful, polite staff
Get everything u need for the house
Nice large shop with great options and variety to choose from Great parking Easy to get there. Staff freindly . No issues when returning items.
Great bargains for a great prices. Perfect store for home, stationery, craftshop, bits nd bobs, garden, home decor, your pets and much more. The range will always give you some inspiration. Recommended 🌠
Good range of houseware, furniture, outdoor equipment, toys, craft and stationery and a good garden centre as well.
The cafe used to be horrible but I think it's all new now, haven't had the chance to try it yet.
Huge big selection of goods from DIY, garden furniture, kitchens, to pet stuff. Unfortunately, to say the café staff are slow is an understatement. I've seen customers walk away fed up waiting in the queue!
The artificial fence was not I expected to be flimsy not very strong I prefer the one in clondyke its 5 pounds derer but better quality glad I didn't order it
Love this store. On a recent visit my friend and I got face masks for both us and my daughter (age 3) they are a great fit and look.
Omg there is soo much stuff to buy ..whatever your wanting I'm sure you will find.it there ..the prices are great ..the staff are very helpful ..everyone wearing their masks and doing their best to social.distance ..it's well worth a visit .
I now know why it's called the range 😂 it literally has a range of different things from pet food to sofas and everything in between the store is well planned out spacious and the staff are friendly and helpful only negative thing I would say about this shop is I know everytime I walk out the door theres going to be some charity organisation asking to sign up for monthly donations, dont get me wrong I do give to charity and dont mind popping my loose change into a donation tin but I dont feel like I should have to explain why I cant sign up to yet another monthly direct debit everytime I walk out the store.
Hard to navigate due to the large range of products and poor demarcation but it has everything and a more convenient Iceland. Handy place.
Used to be like an upmarket b&m but prices are significantly up these days
Such a massive store with everything you could possibly need in it. I have a local store that is quite large and I actually prefer the layout. I felt you could wander for hours in the Edinburgh one and not really find what your after. If it was better set out It would of been a much better experience
Not a good shopping experience. Lots of empty shelves and lots of items which had no price's on items or shelf fronts.
Management don't seem to be concerned.
love it here so many items to browse through although I would recommend that they get double seated trolleys as I had a 1yr old and a 3yr old with me and my 3yr old had to sit inside the actual shopping trolley so double one would be fantastic but apart from that we love the place x
Fantastic well priced store. If your a crafter they have the largest most reasonable range.
This shop sells everything from toys homeware furniture to sweets and diy
...Where the deer and antelope play 🎵, among this emporium's aisles with an excellent "range" of art and craft materials. Worth a trip amongst 65,000 diverse product lines, and seldom is heard, a discouraging word and the skies of Edinburgh are cloudy all day...
Everything in one place! That's a yes!
The only issue is that it is difficult to find prices for some products.
Apart from that, it is the best place to shop and save money. Wish I could buy everything.
Range is always worth a visit. They have a decent cafe with Costa Coffee. before you spend time looking through a variety of products at very reasonable prices.
If you can't find it at Range I'd be surprised.
Everything we required to add to the kitchen decoration completed. Toilets "men's" urinal area needed attention. A rather strong aroma.
Good store, not often i can't get what I'm looking for
You can find out any art supplies, crafting is much expended for all shelfs. I can spend 2 hours is never enough 🤩
Staff were very friendly, allowing my wife to store products till i arrived to pay for them.
Good shopping experience however annoyed that the cafe closed before 4.00pm
Full of everything!! Excellent selection of crafting bits n pieces 👌
I like the Range. Lots to see. Plenty to browse. Sell loads of stuff. Good prices as well. Nice coffee shop in it as well. (Milton link). Could easily spend a good hour browsing!!
Massive shop with an Iceland and cafe.
Loads of products to choose from, must have spent more than an hour in here and never got round to looking in Iceland or using the cafe.
Bought loads of Christmas stuff 🎅🎅
Some good value products, but others of questionable quality which might quickly become landfill. This store is dark and a bit of a mess compared to The Range at Gateshead.
The Range is an interesting sort of shop on the site of the old Big W at Newcraighall. As its name suggests it offers a large 'range' of different products, some better than others. Things they have include but are not limited to: gardening and outside, bedrooms and living room furniture, lighting, homeware and decorative, paint, diy, kitchen stuff, storage, snacks, craft and art supplies and pet care. I'm probably missing a whole bunch of things. I think I would particularly single out the homeware, craft and kitchen things as being particularly good value, and as things you can't easily find elsewhere. Some of the furniture is nice, but a family member had a bit of a nightmare getting delivery from them so I would hesitate to reccomend for that. A bit like Primark and Ikea in that you are unlikely to go in and not buy something! They also have a cafe.
Got a great selection of goods ,I needed a photo frame and took ages to decide there was so many to choose from
My go to place for crafting supplies & their Christmas decorations are outstanding
Went at a quiet time in the evening, all fine. The furniture and home department seemed a bit empty and messy but it may have just have been the changeover to Christmas items.
Really easy layout. Plenty of range on products for everyone and every situation. Good car park. Staff are nice and always willing to help.
A good all round store selling a wide range. Pricing is also very good with ample parking as well. There is also a cafe in store though we haven't used it.
Helpful, friendly staff. The cleaner stopped what he was doing to take me to the part of the store I needed. Not just directions, he took me there and seemed happy to do it.
BIG and bright very helpful and friendly clean and tidy good staff and great choice we are bough more than expected.
Amazing!! I wish I visited earlier. I was IKEA fan but I will swap. Staff helpful. :) Great prices A MUST!!!!
Visited early today Monday around 9.15am - shop was clean and found a good deal on paint. Tried the cafe on a few previous visits and they have recently refurbished this with new tables etc
Got what we went for, and at a good price, but a guddle. Sizes, prices, all mixed together, took far longer than it should have.
Wide selection although do compare prices as they can be better elsewhere although not by too much.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Super variety of frames, soft furnishings and craft items. A good place to visit to pick up ideas.
Love this shop. Some really unusual items & good prices
Good variety of goods.
The store itself is great, but waited in the cafe queue for about 10 minutes only to get the front to be told they had no pizzas. Given that they only sell sandwiches and pizza I wouldn't have thought it beyond them to maybe have a sign up....
Stopped for a coffee, very enjoyable...Need to make another visit for some shopping
Its worth a visit. Great frames at decent prices, nice choice of art and craft and the gardening area is worth a look too.
Excellent range of goods. I've bought a good few pieces of artwork for my house here as well as a variety of Christmas ornaments.
What a fantastic place !
I was looking for some nice picture frames and I wasn't disappointed, they have an very impressive selection at really good prices.
All you need under 1 roof.. Went in looking for 1 thing and came out with a lot more.. Prices were reasonable but be careful as sone items were not as expected but I suppose you get what you pay for.
Nice shop. It has big "range" of products, but some of the things are a bit pricey for the quality offered.
Just went in for a browse as down to Edinburgh for the weekend, shop very quiet so decided to have coffee it was lovely.
Very well stocked store large selection of goods very helfull staff good prices plenty free parking it has good disable parking and entrance also has toilets in store I did not have to wait to get in
Enjoyed my wander round and found what I wanted very easily.
New layout and Iceland inside. Staff happy to help.
One of few stores that dont use covid as an excuse to close their toilets.
Meh. If you want cheap imported tat, then this is the place.
Tons of stuff, and the kind of place you may find more unusual things, but definitely at the low end of the market for quality and price.
Stack it high, sell it low.
Good range of stuff......car headlights H11 cheaper than Amazon......let's see if they last!!
If your looking for anything! The Range have it. Very fair prices & lovely staff. You won’t believe the range 🙂👌…
Loads of items to choose from. They are organized with Christmas decorations as well as the usual items. Good shop to wander round they have everything
I am delighted with the range of goods available here, particularly art materials and inexpensive picture frames. It is easy to get to by public transport from town, using the Tweedbank train from Waverley to Brunstane Station (one stop). Unfortunately, access to and from the station involves crossing the line via a footbridge with shallow steps. There are also buses that stop quite nearby, but there is a walk of a couple of hundred metres from bus stop to the Range.
There is a decent, basic café in-store: "DeDe's Family Cafe". I had a toastie and soft drink. Gluten free cakes available.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
This is a great store, we purchased our wall paper and paint and many other useful items for the house. It is also very cheap as well which is the best thing about it 👍👍
Love it just wished everything was priced correctly
Great place for Xmas
Always good for a browse for art supplies.
Lots of things to buy. Plenty parking. The coffee is rubbish even though it's Costa, they don't know how to make it. As I speak Costa are building a drive through at the top end of the carpark.
Good place to shop for home comforts and really reasonable prices everyone can afford.
Good place to shop for home and DIY materials, not expensive either.
Very good for many household items and anything else you may want for d.i.y , spoiled by the small cafe where the service is to say the least "slow ", they cover themselves by a notice saying, everything is cooked fresh, but no excuse really
During lockdown they are restricting the amount in store making it a safer experience, whilst having everything stocked up. Great job guys.
Loads of stuff for home and garden also pets food and toys
Wanted to do up my garden and this place had everything that I needed and was at a good price and a great quality.
A place to get anything that you might need. A very helpful member of staff helped to find all that was needed. Social distancing and awareness is noticed in store.
Had a strange bespectacled woman that kept touching things in the aisles. She was very attractive though. Also sells little service bells.
Great shop. Massive inside. Loads and loads of different items anything you can imagine. Indoor cafe which seemed busy. Massive car park. Retail park close by. Out the way a bit though
Well stocked with a diverse range of products at reasonable prices.
Shop good staff very good not enough to handle customers when busy not enough staff at checkouts the people on checkouts brilliant just not enough hence 3 stars
Has everything you need
A great shop BUT narrow aisles, the time of year and idiotic "parents" letting their mutant genetic experiment offspring run riot through the store made this more of an exercise in hazard detection than a pleasant shopping trip.
Vast shop with most things you might need - diy, pet food, home furnishings, stationery, gardening etc etc. Some excellent prices. Well worth a visit.
Store well laid out. Beautiful pieces to have but feel that a lot of the merchandise is a bit overpriced. Although saying that there is margins to be had
Bought some bedding packets for king size duvet. Got some good deals. Happy with our purchase.
Had a lovely browse in The Range. Nice cup of latte at Deedee's. As always spent too much but lots of too many lovely things to buy.
The store is nice and spacious, you can find most things here, plenty parking spaces, in store cafe area has comfortable seating.
Very large superstore with almost everything that you need for the home.
Popped in for a box of ice-creams, box of paracetamol and a bottle of water. Had everything we needed!
Has everything you need huge car park plenty of stock has a garden section also a cafe which I have not used as of yet sells most items you would probably need from kitchen Ware to out doors to pet supplies
Lots if everything you've ever wanted, huge choice and great prices.
one of the best store got everything in it one day i love to work there in furniture department
It's great. Plenty to shop for from crafts to outdoor pets gardening pictures clothes furniture and so on. Has a cafe and toilets. And plenty of parking.
Great shop spent hours in there browsing
Great place to shop.
Great place - prices are good and you have everything there including sports/ gym equipment ,fishing blow up beds furnitures wallpapers etc.
Great experience, so many lovely things to choose from. Staff are very pleasant especially Chris from customer services, who was patient& kind with customers& always with a big smile on his face.
Love this shop. Loads of selection as always. However, pretty disorganised with Covid safeguards eg. one way system not being adhered too.
Had something to return takes ages very poor, girl didn't think silver and chrome were classed as same on receipt..
Very pleasant to walk round first time
I've been there
Some fantastic bargains
Will certainly be going back.
To see what garden products I can buy.
It's great, good prices and staff is amazing. Carmela helped us with everything we needed in toys and was overall very positive!
They sell just about everything here. Never go away empty handed. Usually have bags full. Great shopping day out.
Coffee ☕ shop closed again.
Grabbed a life jacket and a wet suit decent stuff like
Shop was nice cafe was a disaster not much food left and 2 staff that were trying their best to serve ppl make foods a drinks up clean tables, no good at all
Got what we went for.Covid rrgulations in place Easy disabled parking as I had taken someone woth a disability shopping for first time in a while.
Big store low prices loads of products to choose from. Very much recommended
Not too busy loads of christmas items still on sale staff very friendly
The lady in charge of soft furnishings was really helpful and could not do enough for us x
The visit was fine staff really friendly and eager to help only drawback why no free WI-FI in the coffee shop? If you had that I would have given 5 stars it was a bit of a let down
So much to choose from and really competitive prices. Went in with a basket and left with a trolley load!
Quite a number of items available at this store... even what you may not expect to see there.
You may go for kitchenware and discovery they sell archery gears.
It may be a bit difficult to define what the place sells and why or to guess if you can expect to find it there but prices are usually lower than a department store
Wide range of household stuff, in various ranges of price and quality. Sometime the only way of finding price of a good, is to take it to the cashier.
Excellent selection of grocery, garden and housewares. Easy free parking in front of store.
Can pick up a good deal every now and then however it can be hit or miss. Also it can be a bit chaotic with their placement of products. Always seems a bit unorganised.
