I am submitting this review on behalf of my 80 yr old in laws. They needed a new fire as they could not get down on their knees to light it anymore. We found this place and as we were local we decided to pop in and glad we did. Matt, the sales guy showed my in laws a few fires and even demonstrated the lever type to them and let them have a go. There was absolutely no hard sell by Matt and he even gave a brochure to take away with a price on the fire they liked. They went away and mulled it over and went back a few days to order. Matt explained that the chimney would need swept and examined and the guy would report any problems to Matt. The chimney guy was there for over an hour - sweeping and putting a smoke bomb to check and couldn't have been nicer to the in laws. Today 20/09/19 the guys came to fit the fire and they were friendly, tidy and thorough. There was a big hole behind the old fire that should have been plastered up when the old fire was fitted 30 yrs ago. The fitters mixed up some plaster to block the hole and then fitted the new fire. The fitters took the time to explain to my in laws in their 80s on how to light it and the settings of the fire. They even showed me how to change the battery for the lighter(9V) when it needs replaced in a few years. All in all a fantastic service from start to finish and the in laws are well chuffed. We have had great service from this business, from the initial visit to the showroom, discussion about the design, and then the installation on September 17th 2021 of a gas fire. Patrick listened well, so that the design realised was exactly to our wishes, and came on the day of installation when replacement parts were required, so that the installation wasn't delayed. Steve, the gas engineer was careful, friendly and tidy, so that the family was able to enjoy a cosy fire on a cool late summer's evening. If it was possible to give more stars, more would be given with thanks to the team for a very positive experience.

Well what can I say?? From the minute my family and I walked in the door of this company we had the happiest, most positive experience. This is the first of 2 reviews because I bought 2 fireplaces & fires!!! This review is from my mother who is an elderly lady. The owner of the company and all staff that we dealt with were so kind to this old lady. Her own gas fire had broken down and she was upset, she was put at ease, at Fireplace World everything was clearly explained to her by Mike and she happily ordered her new fire & fireplace. The gas engineer /fitter were so good, did a wonderful job and kept my mum laughing while they fitted the fireplace. After sales were also wonderful and I would recommend this company to everyone. I priced fires/fireplaces and for the quality of goods that we purchased from Fireplace World it was worth every penny. . This fire and fireplace have added value to the property, so classy!!! I've known Mike and his team for many years now. They are a highly professional, knowledgeable bunch who put their customers needs at the forefront of their business. Their perfectly sized showroom is lovely and all the displays work which really help. They have every style of fireplace imaginable with some exclusive, bespoke pieces that really set them apart from other fireplace showrooms. Went to Fireplace World a couple of years ago to buy a log burner. This was to be a feature in our house which was over 100 years old so we were a bit apprehensive about such a big job. The staff were very knowledgable and reassured us. We took several days to decide during which they were happy to let us come and go and ask as many questions as we could. We made our decision and Matt provided some hands on tuition about operating the burner. The fitting was done over two days with minimal fuss and to the highest standard. I had some teething issues and returned to the shop where Matt again provided hands on instruction to assist me. A couple of weeks ago we returned to buy a beam for above the burner. Again we received an excellent quality service and within a few minutes the guys had remembered who we were, what we had bought and our dogs name. We are delighted with the finished result. I would encourage anyone thinking of changing their fire, go check out Fireplace World. My wife and I are so glad we did. We had the usual concerns, how long it would take, the disruption involved and the mess of all the work involved and workers in the house. At no time have we had any issues with the installation of the multi fuel fire / stove . We have been treated with total professionalism, all our questions answered, that we needed answered, from the very pleasant sales personnel, the work was started and finished within the one day. The workmen made a point of tidying up as they progressed through the day and ultimately when they finished there was no sign of any work had taken place other than the beautiful new fire place now installed. The fireplace itself is absolutely beautiful, the quality of there workmanship is second to none. It will be difficult for anyone to show us a better designed and fitted fireplace. The workmen themselves were as polite and courteous as you’ll find anywhere. This fireplace has transformed our living room, the heat in the room, which is open plan, is fantastic and heats the whole space. The greatest testament we can give, is, to anyone thinking of going for a new fireplace you’ve got to try Fireplace World, I know we will return, if we ever need to again, and will encourage others to try them, whenever we can. I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank Mike and his team at Fireplace World for their outstanding work and installation of our Bell View Fireplace. My wife and I initially visited Fireplace World's showroom in January this year. Having never visited before, we received a warm welcome and were surprised by the number of different fireplaces available. We were able to browse at our leisure. A man called Patrick came round with coffee for both of us. Mike (the owner) came and introduced himself, he showed us round the different fireplaces and we never once felt any pressure to make a decision or buy. My wife was interested in one particular fireplace and Mike explained its key features. We subsequently arranged a home visit (on his recommendations). The next week Mike arrived, measured out our room and made some recommendations on a particular model which would compliment out room. The existing fireplace and chimney was off centre. Mike explained how this could be rectified whilst still allowing for the fireplace we wanted to be installed. We agreed an install date and the fitters arrived on time and completed all works during the agreed 2 days. They were very tidy and professional. They also helped install a false wall which could faciliate my TV and Sky. Mike visited during the install to check that we were happy and that everything was going to plan. Once the fireplace was installed we were spoken through all the features and how best to operate it. The guys took their time explaining everything & were very patient. We didn't feel like we were rushed through how to work it then left. We are both absolutely delighted with our new fireplace. It now takes centre stage in our room and has been complimented on several times already. Thanks again Mike and all at Fireplace World. We wouldn't go anywhere else!

This time the old embedded mantelpiece had to be removed from the wall first. Having known and dealt with Mike at Fireplace World for a number of years now, I can honestly say that its a pleasure to deal with such a professional bunch of guys. We are undertaking a barn conversion at present and I am about to get Mike out to carry out a survey for supply and installation of a Wood Burner Stove with a back boiler which will enable us to provide heating and hot water from our stove. We were looking for a bespoke fireplace and boy did Mike and his team deliver and more. After numerous consultations with Mike, he designed our bespoke fireplace (ground to ceiling with built-in fire) and his team were brilliant from start to finish. We got exactly what we looking for and the fireplace takes pride and place in our living room. Mike came to inspect and sign off on completion and being the perfectionist, wasn't happy with a minor imperfection at the bottom corner of the hearth so got his tools out the car and fixed it there and then. Our plasterer caused plaster to stain our newly installed limestone fireplace. I called Patrick at Fireplace World for advice in how to clean it. Nearly every website said it would be impossible to clean. He gave me some advice and told me to call him back and let him know if it worked. It didn't. I was beginning to think we'd need to replace the stone. Patrick said he'd call out and see what he could do. He stuck to his promise and spent around 45 mins cleaning and sanding it until he achieved success. Fireplace World and Patrick in particular were under no obligation to try and help me. In fact they could have told me it would need replaced. However, I could hardly have asked for a better aftercare service. It's really appreciated hence me taking to this site to give such positive feedback.

If you are thinking about going elsewhere – don’t! I recently had a stove/flue system installed by Fireplace World in addition to the construction of a false chimney breast. Quite a big job and not one that any other company I spoke to were happy to take on in full – most were happy to put the stove in but wanted me to subcontract the construction of the chimney breast. Mike and his team were friendly, approachable and knowledgeable from start to finish and I couldn’t have asked for more from Hetas registered fitter Craig and his team – I’m a stickler for detail and had done some research on the fire safety aspect in relation to clearances/use of appropriate fireboard etc. but I couldn’t fault them. We’d been warned by other neighbours that our slate roof tiles would probably get damaged due to their delicacy, however the fitters painstakingly ground off all the screws in the tiles to avoid breakages. 2 days and the main job was done followed by plastering of the chimney breast on the 3rd day…. again I couldn’t fault the finish. Craig/Mike even came back out to hang my mirror/give me a stove demonstration. All in all a fabulous job by a trustworthy, reliable company.......
