Can't recommend Glasgow Audio highly enough. In the grand scheme of things we are relative newbies to hifi and we had an issue with distortion coming from our turntable. The guys stopped what they were doing, set our turntable up in the shop and sorted the problem (overhang adjustment wrong). Helpful, non-intimidating, knowledgeable and friendly service and fab selection of vinyl too. What's not to love?

Took in my old record player to diagnose the problem in the tone arm, as I wasn't exactly sure what the issue was. Jessie (member of staff) was more than knowledgeable and very willing to help me get to the bottom of the issue. I'll definitely be returning in future for my audio fix. Stellar service.

Leaving a review on behalf of my Dad who visited Glasgow Audio last week to purchase a replacement cartridge for his Rega turntable. He initially spoke with Dean on the phone who arranged for my dad to come in the next day to get his cartridge replaced by Angus. Tremendous customer service from Dean and and an expert quality job carried out by Angus who was as enthusiastic as my Dad was to have his cartridge replaced. Angus ensured the turntable was fully calibrated and he serviced the motor. My Dad said his turntable has never sounded so good. Would absolutely recommend this high quality audio shop. J. Tees

Had purchased a P1 turntable and amp from GlasgowAudio a couple of years ago. Had occasion to seek their help today and although hadn't made appointment staff were happy to oblige. Absolutely delighted with the attitude and knowledge of the staff today. We had bought a Rega turntable that did not plug and play easily to an amp (not bought from Glasgpw Audio) spoke to two members of staff that were ready to help. They even called back to say they had looked at something online that may help. Subsequently turntable is up and running and the first vinyl that went on - QUADROPHENIA sounds amazing!!!!

Very well run, parking across the road, waited st door, assistant came out asked me about Covid, hand sanitizer, mask was available if you had not got one. Went to desk they took your name and got your records, move to another desk and paid. Tried not to look at all the top end hi-fi equipment they sell. Been a customer of this shop for the past twenty years. Have always found them helpful and friendly. I was keen to try out the Dynaudio Special Forty at home but couldn't drive due to medical reasons. The staff offered to deliver them to my door to keep for a few days. Superb service. Unfortunately I discovered the Dyn's need more power than my amp can deliver. On calling them the staff once again were extremely understanding stating it was not a problem, they would pick them up. It's a shop I will happily return to should I wish to demo or to purchase anything further. Great service all round.

Best customer experience iv had in the UK. Visited to see if it was possible to repair my turntable of which was of some age. Matt sorted me out soldering in new cables. While I was waiting was great chatting with other staff about systems and will be going straight here when I need/want to upgrade and of my system.

What a fantastic audio shop. I visited the shop wanting to buy a new home cinema system. Helped by one if the staff members, David, we worked out a system that would be a good start to demo. I came back to the shop to hear the speakers/amp we picked and spent an hour trying different configurations and different speakers, which I found very useful and informative. Ultimately I opted for a system that admittedly cost more than I thought I would spend (a testament to David's salesmanship), but I am incredibly happy with my purchase. In summary, Glasgow Audio is a great shop for the audiophiles out there and the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. I will certainly return for my next audio purchase!

What a great little shop. I took my burnt out old turntable in recently and not only did they fix it but they managed to replace the long lost cartridge with the original part. Considering how little information I had for them I was very impressed. Glasgow Audio is a rare breed, an independent store with staff who actually know what they're talking about. I didn't get the impression they were pushing this month's 'hot product' on me. When I went in to hear some speakers they even made me a cup of tea, when was the last time that happened in Currys? Cheers boys, she's sounding great!

I'm so glad I discovered Glasgow Audio! The staff are highly knowledgeable and delighted to back up their opinions and tastes with extensive demonstrations. Manager Matt spent hours with me going through different turntables in comparison to my own (having let me bring in my own amp, vinyl and speakers to reduce any variables). I was able to see what you get for your money and justify the differences in price between models. I eventually opted for the Rega RP6 which was a huge jump up from my existing Project Deck. I also got my 25 year old Audiolab 8000A serviced for a great price and it's better than it's ever been! Don't go anywhere else for your HiFi stuff - from low to mid to high end, everyone is catered for.

I'm not a hi-fi buff and my equipment is modest by some people's demanding and expert standards. So when my old Pioneer CD player ceased to function and I needed a replacement, I was at first a bit shy of going to Glasgow Audio, fearing they'd look down their nose at me and have no time for such a humble aspiration. (I had that experience many years ago at a now-defunct Glasgow hi-fi dealer, where a sneering remark about "rubbish like that" was made to me.) I couldn't have been more mistaken. The staff on duty were perfectly understanding of the modest level I operated at, were thoroughly helpful and respectful, laid on facilities for me to listen to some of their cheaper CD players, and enabled me to make my purchase without pressure or hassle. I'm very pleased with the Marantz result (just over £500), and would recommend Glasgow Audio to anyone in the same position.

Fantastic service from the team at Glasgow audio. Walked in with a problem cable, asked if anything could be done about it, someone was straight onto the job and I was out the door 10 minutes later. "Glasgow Audio installed our church’s AV system a few years ago and there had been no problem until Palm Sunday when one of the projectors failed to connect to the laptop. Holy Week was probably the worst possible time for anything to go wrong and after an urgent call to Glasgow Audio David came to investigate the problem. The good news was that it was simple to fix as one of the power leads had failed but the bad news was that owing to the forthcoming Easter weekend there would be a week’s delay before a replacement lead could be obtained. David returned to the shop and managed to produce a temporary lead which enabled the Good Friday and Easter Day services to go ahead with the system working as normal. Many thanks to Glasgow Audio for going the extra mile!"
