John Lewis are possibly the best store in UK in my opinion. Great products and fantastic customer service. I love how the ordering to delivery update service works. Drivers are super professional. Customer service teams are brilliant which is what you need when something is not quite right. And then it's fixed, immediately with no quibbles. True professionalism from a top quality store. Went to the cafe here but they were chronically short of staff. The queue was long and slow. The girl taking the drinks orders was also doing the food. Having ordered two toasties, by the time we paid waited on our coffees and got to a table the toasties were cold. Not the fault of the the three staff who were run off their feet more a management issue by not staffing it correctly.

John Lewis is a national institution....and in an age when we are all moving to the online model it is refreshing that the old fashioned department store model is still relevant. Staff were all very helpful although seemed to be thinner on the ground compared to previous visits and maybe this is due to the pandemic. Prices were competitive so I had no problems giving them my money than to Amazon

After a saga of dealing with John Lewis Customer Services over the 'phone and online I bit the bullet and trekked into the Glasgow Store. I was very impressed with the service I received from Cameron in the Hi-Fi department and wish I'd gone into store from the word go instead of dealing with incompetents over the 'phone.

This document store located in Buchanan Galleries sells practically anything , apart from groceries, and at fairly competitive prices. It has a decent restaurant / cafe with an excellent view over the mall below. Its problem in this day and age is its competitively in days of Internet shopping I hope it thrives

Went to see televisions for xmas especially #Samsung in the Glasgow branch on Buchanan Street, ,staff well informed on thier product and informed me there is #free delivery on anything over £50. Plus price guarantee if the price on your item you purchase drops with in 28 days in other stores they will refund you the difference .

There's an outdoor foodhall restaurant here overlooking the inside of the Buchanan Galleries Shipping Centre, they have the usual John Lewis selection of Christmas items and gifts, some furniture and electricals. The quality is good. They treat their staff ('Partners') better than many other employers which I like to support. It's obviously a positioned at the higher end of the market in general but the quality is usually good and they're excellent about returns/refunds/warranty. They used to have a hidden ex display discount section in a little room off a corridor on the top floor...but it only pops up intermittently. Worth asking staff if it has reopened if visiting during sale times as it isn't advertised - a well kept secret.

Was in John Lewis Buchanan galleries this morning to purchase a Christmas present for my wife.. basically knew what to get, but unsure where to find it.. Hazel who works in the ladies shoes department helped me immensely. She stayed with me to find the item and even went to the store room to get a brand new one.. talk about going the extra mile.. so for this amazing customer service I spent another £40 ..thank you Hazel! Very huge John Lewis in Glasgow city center Buchanan gallery mall. They have huge collection in each section, this is in 3 floors. One can find everything. It's in the last corner of mall.

What a selection of sweet treats on offer. You are so spoilt with the choices. For me though, it was the carrot cake......the attraction being the pumpkin seeds and dried flowers as a decoration....look at the colours and it was a very reasonable and manageable portion. They do say you eat with your eyes first....and it is very true. My flat white coffee was rich and creamy and staff were very attentive and very very helpful.

The department store of choice with highly professional staff who don't try to hard sell or upsell and are knowledgeable in their particular area. The surroundings are very good, the facilities excellent, product choice is very good and with guaranteed matched prices. There is little to complain about if they sell the product you are looking for. My only gripe would be the price of their cakes in the cafe which I don't think is value for money considering their quality. I suppose you are also paying for the level of service and cleanliness. Overall a top high street store.

It is one of the most complete centers of department stores. All in one place and not only is clothing also food of all forms and size varieties. There are all the recognized brands and to be recognized in their respective departments, it is not that they are all in conjunction with each other, they are each brand separately even if they are at the same weight. If you need something to buy without going around many times this may be the best place.

Staff are friendly and helpful, however this store appears to struggle during busy hours. I was interested in buying a coffee machine and could find no one to help me. I have had positive experiences in the past during quieter hours where the service has been both personal and practical.

On Sunday I called in for a snack around 2pm. The wonderful mature lady collecting dishes noticed I was loaded up and struggling with my bags. She chatted and asked me if I needed help, offered me a sweety and kept checking on me while I waited for a my family. Good amount of stock on display, but trying audio equipment feels like hard work, with limited amounts of headphones on display and long wait times to try something from non display. Customer service however is good, pricing is fairly competitive from the high street retailers but as always, check against online if you are not in a hurry.

I bought two winter coats from John Lewis at the end of September and wore the first one almost right away, very pleased with fit and comfort the second one I wore for the first time just recently and it was not a good fit at all, the lining crept up on the inside of the coat which made it uncomfortable. I took this coat back and told the sales assistant I no longer had my receipt, I was given a gift card ( the modern day version of a credit note) which was justifiable as I didn't have the receipt any more. Was pleased with how I was fairly treated and there was no hassle from the store to give me this gift card.

Purchased a Tempur mattress from here last Thursday, arrived today. I have to say they delivery team were excellent. They called 30 minutes in advance of arriving and let me know when they were outside. Once they got it to my door, they unpacked the mattress and placed it on the bed. My experience of having large items delivered has been first class, the items being delivered at a time slot to suit me. The delivery men were very polite,and very careful with my goods even taking my old fridge with them to save me any problem of disposing with it. I could not have asked for more. Place to eat going downhill staff low motivation. They are revamping themselves and changing the way they promote their wares. A lot of kohn Lewis brand now in store. Not impressed at all. Their coats and sweaters look very much luke marks and Spencer's stock. Very old fashioned and absolutely not impressive at all. Sorry but a huge thumbs down from me. The mint velvet clothing range has been given a smaller area so that their iwn brand can take pride of place in the store. What are they doing with their store. John Lewis has two restaurants, one is on the top floor, and one on the second level of the shopping centre, though it is hard to find, it has a fantastic selection, if you are lucky then you might get a window seat which looks right down Buchanan Street, it's probably the best view of the street that can be had. Staff are wonderful food is good, coffee is first rate. Definitely go to either of their food shops, I've been to both and both are great.

It's a big store full of very expensive products but there are bargains to be had. I organise wargames tournaments and instead of a wooden spoon for last place I award a spurtle. They are £10 in the tourist shops compared to £3 in John Lewis. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

John Lewis in the Buchanan Galleries is huge covering around 4 or 5 floors I think and selling everything from a coffee pot to a couch with the usual great customer service from John Lewis staff and their competitive pricing. It's rapidly becoming a family favourite for shopping expensive items due to their customer service and helpful staff who will assist with any issues with any item.

Overall I enjoy shopping in John Lewis, however I feel compelled to suggest that in the interests of good hygiene, the cutlery in the restaurants be placed in the canisters with the handles protruding instead of the other way up . Everyone has to take their own cutlery and I have observed, on many occasions, people 'rummaging' in the canisters to get the spoon, fork etc that they prefer, thus handling the 'business end' of the cutlery. I realise that people would then be unable to see which item they wished , but I am sure this would be easily remedied with clear labelling or indeed a different cutlery container design in the store that prides itself on having really high standards. I would have preferred to write this directly to the specific department, however there seems to be no facility for doing this . However I am sure you will give this matter due consideration.

On the kids front though was disappointed to have to wait over a quarter of an hour for a yogurt to arrive. Also the kids cheese sandwich consisted of only bread and 1 slice of cheese. No butter? A bit poor really for £4.50

Nothing was too much trouble for the central call centre or for the local delivery team in Glasgow. It needed the doors turned and to be carried up two and a half flights of stairs to our flat . Then the old one carried away. Two very polite gentlemen delivered [they had already re-hung the doors at the depot], fitted it where it had to go and then took the old one away. No fuss, no moans & groans - just good service. The fact that it was substantially marked down in price was a bonus. This is a much better piece of kitchen hardware than I ever thought I would have! I am absolutely delighted!

I like John Lewis store on Glasgow but I have an issue with The Place to Eat. Something has changed. Is it now run by a contracted compan ? No warm food at 3pm, very limited selection of , I'm sorry to say, poor quality sandwiches, and poor coffee. There is an opportunity here to serve good quality coffee abd food if you don't want to go to Costa or Starbucks. Honestly I'm trying to be helpful.
