Thought I understood what I was doing at home setting up speakers, amp & turntable and made a mess of it, gave richer sounds a phone and Charlie brought me into the shop and showed me how to build the system and gave me a perfect insight into how it should work. I. P.If you want a retailer where the staff actually know about what they're selling, you won't get much better than Richer Sounds. A small shop, they'll usually sell you something from the online store for delivery (ideal as there's no parking outside), but you've got the chance to ask all the questions you need to get the right one. No brand bias, very good prices and a _6 year_ guarantee on TVs at no extra cost.

T.I recently visited Richer Sounds in Glasgow. I had arranged a Demo of three different speakers and dealt with a very helpful and knowledgeable man called David. I cant recommend David highly enough, he was very helpful, and setup the Demo so i could sit and really listen to the speakers. I've had demo's in other shops and it's usually a case of one track, okay, you done? you decided? What do you want? Now go away...
It's the polar opposite with Richer Sounds in general and David in particular. I got to sit and really listen to the speakers one by one. David really couldn't do enough for me. He made the trip a pleasure and I walked away with a new set of speakers and a great experience as well!
I consider money spent on good AV equipment to be an investment, and with any investment you want to feel safe in the knowledge that who you are dealing with knows their stuff and that describes David to a tee!
I have never had a bad experience with the staff in Richer Sounds, and they have a customer for life. So if you haven't tried Richer Sounds go in and have a wander about and a chat, the staff are great and you never know you might come out with some seriously good kit!
Oh and the 6 year guarantee isn't too bad either.

David has a wealth of knowledge and experience and was able to recommend a simple way to achieve this... now enjoying spinning some vinyl again!!

Unfortunalty the TV was too big for my car but John and Simon arranged for this to be couriered to me when it was suitable for me the next day.

Also as an added bonus they have the same price as buying from Samsung directly with the addition of a free sound bar and sub-woofer and a 6 year guarantee.

The Glasgow store is second to none in terms of service and efficiency. Stephen went to great lengths to give me the product I needed. He also called me 7 days after my purchase to ensure that everything was working ok.

j. n.The only place I ever buy a TV from is Richer Sounds. The guys at the Glasgow store know their stuff and won't steer you wrong. Almost all TVs come with a 5 year warranty and their pricing is very competitive. They sometimes haggle a little on the price, whichis something you can't do in Curry's!

EDIT: Bought 55" Samsung.. at just over 14 months from purchase date the screen developed a fault.. engineer took TV away, screen was replaced under the 6 year warranty with absolutely no quibble. P. T. (.This excellent store has been my go to supplier of audio equipment since I was a student. I now have a bus pass and they're still the best retailer with actual shops in their field. Several reasons for this, 1) extremely competitive pricing, 2) they don't sell tat, if it's stocked by them, it's probably a decent bit of kit, 3) unlike almost all other retailers in this sector their staff have extensive product knowledge and are more interested in getting you the right product rather than pushing whatever has the highest commission, 4) my personal favourite, instead of upselling expensive guarantees they provide a brilliant comprehensive SIX YEAR warranty as standard on lots of stuff. I've just bought a large 4k TV from them, six years peace of mind is a wonderful freebie. They've been a fixture in our town centres for most of my life because unlike Woolworths and Comet and BHS and multiple former household names they do their one thing extraordinarily well. In Glasgow where their shop is encircled by double yellow lines they'll even pay for your parking in the adjacent Qpark when you're buying and carry stuff out to your car as you do an F1 style pit stop at their door to avoid the parking wardens. Big fan.

The sound from the oberons are just mind blowing, I only have the sub woofer at 25% as anything higher literally makes things shake in the house! There was a few issues with stock, however I was very generously compensated. I would highly recommend richer sounds, shopped at the Glasgow branch and served by Simon, who was very knowledgeable and all round nice Guy!

S.Returned a 4yr old 47" LG TV that was covered by their extended warranty due to a small line (1 pixel wide) that ran vertically across the screen. The LG was expensive at the time (£1k+) but is an older model that had very limited smart features and required a dongle for wifi.
It was replaced by a brand new 55" Panasonic which is their top of the range 1080p model with inbuilt wifi and the latest smart apps. I was concerned about getting a TV with as good a picture as the LG as that was it's main strength but the Panny is if anything, even better and obviously bang up to date spec wise. I also got a brand new 5yr warranty with it starting from the day I took it away.
Absolutely delighted with the incredibly great service I received. The staff went through the models that they had in stock and let me use their tablet to browse reviews before deciding.
As good as you could possibly hope for, absolutely brilliant customer service!
