Always helpful suggestions/ solutions. Great sound for anyone, options for the general fan all the way up to the keenest audiophile. They only sell good options. I suppose what you experience is the difference between a consumer electrical shop that sells some sound and, specialist sound experts who can talk at all levels about the products.

After a few years I have my dream purchase and I have bought Dali Rubicon 8 - as suggested by Sebastian from the Leicester branch. Sebastian was really super awesome - he suggested which model would fit my hifi room and he allowed me to listen to Rubicon 6 in their demo room. We placed the order and everything went smoothly. Service is second to none. I had trouble with my dali sub, out of warranty. These guys offered to take a look. Went in a bit unsure as to what we'd need, or even if it was possible, to set up a system we want on our narrowboat. Staff were brilliant & knowledgeable. Even if I moved away from Leicester I would travel back to Leicester to use this store. A lot of businesses need to learn from this company and these people in regards customer service. They are all passionate about what they sell and know what they are talking about. Honest advice. Will give you time and be 100% attentive to you. And won't oversell and sell you something you dont need. They're all brilliant but Levi needs employee of the week/month. I purchased several items. Sat 14:00. And 4 hours later had confirmation that my items will be delivered monday! That beats Amazon! And you get no advice or customer service with them. At least two hours were spent with me today. And at least 1 hour in a couple of phone calls. Brilliant service. They have even gone out of their way today to help me. I just wish the shop was bigger I could wander around it all day. Decent out of town location on London Road. Stocking a wide variety of TV, Home Cinema, HiFi and accessories. As with all Richer Sounds stores there are huge discounts to be found. On street parking is available but can be a problem. The staff are extremely helpful and go the extra mile. Worth a visit if you are looking for a new TV.

I came here a couple of weeks back as the lockdown in Leicester started to ease. I booked an appointment over the phone, as requested on their website, so they can limit the number of people in the store. I spoke with Richard over the phone and he was really helpful with looking for the type of AV receiver I wanted. He managed to squeeze me in for an appointment later that day. It was a 1 in, 1 out queue as I arrived. But the service was really good, and quick. Richer sounds generally have the lowest prices if they stock the equipment you need, and are always helpful in recommending products to your requirements. If they have what you need in stock, no reason not to get it from there to be honest!

We came in to the store day before the Fury fight as we wanted to purchase some surround sound and the AV receiver. The amazing service provided by Jason was excellent from start to finish! Knowledgeable, enthusiastic, friendly staff is what I expected, and exactly what I got. Pricing isn't so exceptional these days - I think margins for all AV retailers are very small, but they are always among the cheapest available. Parking isn't so easy, but I drove past, turned left and found on-street parking at £1 for 3 hours... Plenty of time. There was loading space outside the shop when we picked up the TV. Excellent.

Went into the Leicester store probably 5/6 times throughout the process of putting my home AV setup together and the service was excellent every time. It wasn’t a subject I knew a great deal about but they were always helpful and didn’t feel like they were just pointing me at the most expensive equipment. When it came to installing them I realised I had made an error ordering the rear speakers as they were too large but as they were unopened they were happy to exchange for another smaller set 2 months or so after purchase.

Purchased an LG OLED C9 55 Staff are the epitome of courteous and considerate. I haven't received this level of customer service from anywhere before! Excellent prices and service I bought a Toshiba TV from there just under 5 years ago and I found the receipt which also shows that it has an extended 5 year warranty which was thrown in for free by RS. The TV had a crack on the back, which was from where one of the wall mount screws had cross threaded and wouldn't come out so I had to pull it out (that happened a few years ago and nothing to do with the back light). When I went in store, they took the TV no quibbles about the fact that it was damaged on the back, like I'm sure other stores such as Currys would have done (and used it as an excuse not to fix the back light), and returned it fixed a few days later. Excellent service, and even though I was toying with buying a TV from Amazon during black Friday (to replace this before I found the receipt ) following the service I have received, I'm definitely going back to RS 1st when I'm buying anymore TV/Audio equipment.

I needed a new tv, BUT I can't buy just any one as my wife can't watch some units as they give her motion sickness. I tried a couple of well known high street electrical suppliers, and they were no help at all, just wanted my money then though luck if your not happy or if it makes my wife sick.. (wont be using them again!) Visited Richer Sounds and they had the same tv, same price but a whole world of difference with their service. I was treated like I was their only customer, like no one else in the world mattered but me. The sales guy was great, he knew his stuff and could understand my problem. He offered so much help and options to help with my wife's issue and even gave us a satisfaction guarantee, so if we were unhappy with our tv (ie it upset my wife) he would swap it or refund the tv the next day. I have shopped ther before for hifi gear, and as usual their service is the best I've had in any shop! On a side note, the hisense tv is awesome great value for money, for me the picture and sound are way above the £250 price of the tv, and the features are what you would expect from a top branded tv. Just about to set if my wife can watch it (fingers crossed)... Go to richer sounds, forget about curries and argos (oops did I let that slip :)) richers value your business and it shows. I just wish u could give 6 stars.. Thanks for a great service, and looking forward to downshift more of my cash there very soon..

Great buying experience. Called the store to ask if they had a projector in stock and they had one. Explained that Amazon was selling it for £375 and asked if they would price match. They price matched the item and reserved for me without asking for any deposit. I went to the store and they already had the product waiting for me, so it was just a matter of paying. The guy who served me had a badge saying deputy manager. He was friendly, polite and helpful. This was my first visit to this company and I was impressed so I will definitely be a repeat customer.

This place has great ratings so was excited when I got there to purchase a new sub for my living room setup. When I got there I waited for a sales person, believe I got the manager of the shop, asked about suitable subs for my setup, manager then proceeded to tell me that my setup is incompatible with any of the active subs they are selling. Even though I tried to explain to him that i had a rca out from my amp (not amplified), it didnt seem like he cared. I told him i will have a look round and get back to him, while i was waiting for him another advisor approched me and I asked about a yamaha sub, again he said this would work with the setup I had, i was starting to be more convinced that they where correct. He then tried to tell me that i needed a new amplifier costing 150£ Eventually I went with the tannoy 2.8 as it had better ratings. And declined the offer for the new amp. When i got home it did work with my setup which i clearly explained to them 3 times. Hopefully this is just a knowledge gap and not them trying to upsell to me. No harm done in the end and good selection of products too!

I phoned on Saturday 14/12/2019 and was answered by Gary, he was very informative and polite. I had a UHD player put aside for collection next day, when I collected he was serving another customer but spoke to me at the till. Great service. This place is slightly busy during The weekends but the staff do their best to help everybody who walks into building. The tv I was hoping to buy was in stock but I wanted some reassurance from their staff. Levi steered me to the right direction (the same tv I wanted) and completed and secured the sale. Having just moved house, I wanted to show off the new lounge with a new TV! I know 'a bit' about TV's but I called Richer Sounds in Leicester for advice. I spoke to Jason, who quickly established what it was I was after in terms of size and budget. He was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, and even after I told him I wanted a Samsung, and there would be know persuading me otherwise! After deciding what I wanted, he sold me a great ex-display Samsung QLED, I can not believe the quality of this TV for the price! I've now just got to decide what soundbar to get, but I have a feeling I'll be calling Jason for help once I decide to buy. If you're in the market for a new TV or Hifi, or anything home entertainment based, I would definitely recommend giving Jason a call!

After a disappointing trip to currys where we were harassed by annoying salesman trying to get us to spend more than we could afford, we visited richer sounds. We found Jason and his team to be very informative and good at explaining the tech specs in an easy to understand manner. In the end we purchased a clearance tv and were even given a gift pack as we explained the reason for our purchase was moving house. I was looking for a pair of headphones which i found on the clearance section of the richer sounds website and it said call for price so i called the number and i got through to Gary he said that there was one in stock and he reserved it for me over the phone. After the phone call i was flicking through the website and then i found a wireless speaker on sale at a knockdown price and then i went to the shop with a view to purchasing it because it was an instore only deal then i was given an explanation and a demo based on the type of music that i listen to and the advantages and disadvantages of this particular speaker. I was impressed with the amount of time given to me for explanations and demos. I also told him to take the reservation off the headphones as i had changed my mind Gary went out of his way to make sure i was comfortable with my speaker and he deserves this feedback. Excellent service,was served by Devon Fourie. Bought a Cambridge Audio One and after 15 months it broke.It wouldn't eject CD 's and a CD was lodged in it.Took it back to shop,despite it being 3 months out of guarantee.The staff were so helpful,they offered to send it off for repair for which there 'd be a charge or replace it with a new one.The only thing we stood to lose was the CD stuck inside it,so we opted for a new one.They said that although it was out of guarantee,they 'd of expected it to last longer than 15 months,they also said they had a lot of faith in Cambridge Audio and it was exceptionally unusual for their items to develop a fault after 15 months.Brilliant service,couldn't fault them,thanks and thanks to Devon who served us.

I had my 55lg tv for 4 years and it developed a fault on the screen, I called richer sound and they informed me of my warranty that I'd completely forgotten about. the service engineer came out exactly when he said he would and shortly after a report saying it was done for and I could go and choose a like for like product. I ended putting some more money to it and getting a 55oled. I have to say the service all along was perfect and I will always go there in the future. 5 stars, excellent service (Harry especially)

Just when you thought good customer service has disappeared on the high street , it is certainly alive and well in Richer Sounds in Leicester . The member of sales staff , Jason , certainly knew his stuff regarding the products . I initially was going to buy the Denon Dm41 hifi system . I did some research on this , but when I questioned the Bluetooth feature , Jason informed me that what I really needed was the Yamaha CRXN470d. He was absolutely right . I have additional Bluetooth speakers , and the Spotify feature is great. Certainly restored my faith in customer service, rarely seen these days . Give Jason a bonus , he deserved it .

It's a shame that not many Real Hifi outlets are left..I am glad Richer sounds is this well and truly alive. In Sep 2018 I went in looking to updagrde my AV system to atmos. Gentleman called Levi served me. I choose the out going Yamah Flagship AV amp. He also mentioned at the time that the new model had more then few improvements. At this point I decided to wait for the new model to drop in price which meant at 6 months wait. Levi did not make me feel at all pushed for a sale instead made me comfortable and said when ever you are ready we are here to help. Finally 2 weeks ago decided to go the system. I returned to Richer sounds spoke to Levi and he remembered me and sort a great deal out for me. Would like to thank this great service given by Levi. It's a shame alot has moved online but as I mention good to physically go and feel the product before you buy. Great experience.. keep it going guys..

A Mecca for aficionado of music and hardware associated with it. I ventured into the shop with the specific intention of buying a Sony 4K player. Although I had a clear intention of what I wanted, once in the store, there is so much on display that one does become confused. That's when the friendly staff step in and guide you towards buying what you want. Unfortunately, not everything is done with the best of intentions - there is a commission that the staff make on every sale, I guess. That said, I would not hesitate to visit the shop again if i were to visit Leicester again and wanted to pickup anything associated with video or audio.

I recently purchased my second T.V from Richer Sounds and I don't like to go anywhere else because of the customer service and the guarantee on the products. I had some initial trouble getting the T.V that I wanted as they were on such good deals that I missed out. However, I did spend a bit more and felt like I ended up with a better T.V. There is a no hard sell approach, which is hard to find these days. (I have the same approach in my job, so that's a big thing for me) As I looked around, I could tell the boys all have a passion for what they do, which again, is what makes the company highly regarded. Very poor custom service. I brought my LG TV 3 weeks ago, it developed a fault ones sat night. Rang the shop on Sunday completely not help. I wanted to exchange model or money back. He said phone another number to get it fix. He said it open on Sunday which was a lie. Monday rang up now I've got to wait 2-3 days until a engineer to arrange a date Update on 21/06/2016 customer services contacted and now sorted. They have bent over backwards to make sure the problem as been resolved. Thank you
