Reviews of Grahams Hi-Fi

I think I first visited Grahams in about 1975, when the shop was in Pentonville Road. I was working at Laskys at the time, when a colleague directed me towards Grahams and a very different style of business altogether. I soon had some proper hi-fi: Naim NAC12, NAP120 and Linn LP12 to feed my Quad ESLs, and have never looked back. Fond memories of meeting Tony Graham and Mike Lewin, followed by Bill, Simon, Jude, David, Paul, Ray et al. Grahams is now fully diversified into A/V and custom installations and remains one of the leading retailers of top hi-fi from great premises in Canonbury Yard. Go on, treat yourself. A warm welcome awaits!

One of the last real hi-fi shops left in London. Demo facilities are excellent and I could have chatted to Paul for hours.

Grahams were very accommodating when I had a last minute request to demo a pair of B&Ws which I ended up purchasing. Service was fantastic throughout. Very knowledgeable staff and they didn’t attempt to up sell, making sure that I selected equipment that was fit for my system. Would highly recommend.

The best Hifi experts in London. They’d rather sell you a £12 drive belt than a £130 motor upgrade for your deck if that’s all you really need, and have you go away happy. And they treat you with the same friendly helpfulness whether you’re buying a budget cartridge or a £140,000 system - and yes, they do sell both!
Simply the best. I’ve been going there since the early ‘80s and will never change 👍

Good afternoon David
I have taken the time to write to you, as I had the most wonderful experience with your company. I called yesterday as I wanted another pair of B&W stands for my speakers. The gentleman I spoke to asked me what I wanted, called me back 10 minutes later to advise they would be in today, took payment over the telephone, emailed me the invoice and today I came in and collected them. When I called this morning I mentioned my interest in a pair of B&W speakers and when I arrived at 2.00pm to collect my stands he had them ready for me to listen to. I then proceeded to spend over 30 minutes in musical heaven and the gentleman helping me was an encyclopaedia of knowledge.
When I went to leave the store, I was asked where I was going and I said the tube - ‘oh you can’t carry those to the station I will give you a lift’. I usually avoid going into shops to make purchases, as I find it easier to do it online and often the shopping experience is disappointing.
I am so grateful for such a wonderful experience. I know a few interior designers in London and whilst I am not sure whether they have every had much interaction with audio and visual installations, I will be recommending Graham’s anyway.
Thank you so very much.

Walked in without an appointment to take a look at a Rega turntable. Was immidiately helped and made to feel welcome by Sophie. She took the time to replicate my home set up in their demo room, and set up two different turntables with a fantastic selection of demo records. Very knowlagable! Will definitely be back to purchase the turntable I was shown. Thanks for the great service!

A truly first class HiFi experience at every level. I've been working with Graham's for many years now, from my modest initial gear to the HiFi heaven that I have built up now. Always competent, accommodating, first class service, thorough auditions, and the best advice. Special shout-out to Sophie, who has been advising me through all these years, endlessly switching back and forth between things I've been comparing, listening to the same song over and over, until I could make a confident decision - even if the decision turned out to be that I just keep my current gear, never pushing one way or the other!

Nice place to visit, range of hi-fi and a few well selected audiophile quality LP's.
Was a pleasure to pick up a half speed mastered recording of Solid Air and chew the fat with the very helpful and knowledgeable owner about 70's British Hi-Fi.
Nice selection of modern Hi-Fi on sale.
Looked like the demo rooms were busy and there were repair/service facilities in house.
