Ordered some speaker stands today thinking they were in stock. They informed me they were awaiting delivery and I'd already had the run around from another company who gave me one delivery date after another. I decided to get my money back and buy another product elsewhere and when I informed Home Media they refunded me straight away and sent me an email to confirm, even though it was the end of the working day. Any company is good when they're taking your money, you only find the ones with good customer service when there's a problem. I'm sure I'll deal with them again soon.

I have been on the hi-fi upgrade path for over 35 years, and have bought equipment from very many dealers. But none have been so purchaser-friendly as Home Media Maidstone. Their manager, Simon Burton, recently made a 60 mile round trip for me to undertake a home audition of Magneplanar .7 speakers. The sound quality of these speaker is quite remarkable but, for practical reasons, they were not for me. Accordingly, Simon was very prompt in collecting them, and he made many valuable suggestions for an alternative upgrade path. Home Media is therefore very highly recommended.

I bought various components from Home Media 20ish years ago and had a great experience. I've just finished purchasing a totally new, installed home audio system and couldn't be happier. Nothing is too much for the guys and the quality of work is amazing. The communication throughout was concistent, reliable and clear. They really went the extra mile to ensure we got the right products for us and not their bottom line. Any issues or questions were dealt with exceptionally quickly (even weekends and out of hours!) and with such a pleasant manner centered wholly around the customer. A friend in London had identified Fyne HiFi speakers in the Home Media Sale. I spoke with Simon who was more than helpful and his knowledge was obvious. I was given a further discount to fit in with my budget which I further spent ordering the correct speaker cables. The care and attention given to transport included the extra mile of wrapping the two speaker boxes in a black baling type waterproof covering to avoid any water damage when the boxes were inside the courier vehicle. I am very pleased with the sound now the speakers are installed, and certainly pleased with how helpful and informative Simon Burton proved to be.

What a pleasure to deal with proper 'old fashioned' (that's not a bad thing in my view) customer care and service from this company. I had been searching the internet endlessly to source a new turntable since the demise of my local hifi shop and stumbled upon Home Media's website. I ordered my turntable on Monday night at 17:15 and received an email confirming the order within about forty minutes - rather slower than the automated responses from Amazon and the like but when I read it I realised why. Simon Burton had taken the trouble to send a personalised message confirming the purchase, thanking me for shopping with Home Media and outlining the collection and delivery process scheduled for the following day. I received another email (again personalised) from him at 7:50 on Tuesday morning with the details. Living almost 200 miles away from the shop I was a little concerned about potential damage whilst in transit but I needn't have worried as the turntable arrived on Wednesday at the allotted time in perfect condition. I will definitely use Home Media for future purchases even if it means driving to Maidstone as I value personal service and advice when purchasing bigger ticket items.

Simon and Chris have bent over backwards to sort out a new system for me, helped with demo’s, dealt with all my misgivings and concerns, calmly and helpfully. A great place to start and continue your hifi journey. They have a great selection and Simon is very knowledgeable and you can tell has great passion for what he does. Expect to enjoy your experience here you are in good hands. Also a special mention about the delivery for home testing, its just the icing on the cake and made for an much easier buying decision. June 2021. I have been using Home Media for my hi fi adventures since 1999 and would never consider going anywhere else. Why? Well when you get friendly, professional service and advice that is totally impartial and always geared towards the customer's needs why on earth would you? Last year I had been thinking about upgrading my Rega turntable for Michell SE and had discussed this with Simon. On the day the country went into lockdown in December, out of the blue, Simon phoned me and offered to bring the Michell to my house so that I could test it over the Christmas and lockdown periods - and of I accepted! Simon subsequently kept in regular touch to see how I was enjoying the turntable and we also discussed further additions to enhance the quality of the sound even further. I am now the proud owner of a Michell turntable together with a number of Solidair products which has totally transformed my listening pleasure. This is definitely a system for life (well I am 70 next year). Simon and his colleagues always work tirelessly to ensure the product is the right one for the individual and I am so fortunate to have them in my home town, but to be honest I would travel half way across the country to get this kind of service. Thanks for your patience Simon! I cannot recommend Home Media more highly. April 2020. As always exceptional service. Once again Simon went above and beyond in order to overcome an issue I had with using headphones. Many thanks Simon for spending the time to figure it out. Having a local hifi shop with helpful and knowlegable staff is priceless and I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Wow. What a great company. Simon is one of the most impartial and helpful hifi guys I have come across. He made no attempt to sell me the most expensive kit he could but rather to understand what I was looking for, why I was looking at it and domestic set up and circumstances too. Managed to talk me out of spending several hundred pounds and clearly wanted the best for me. So if you need advice and a wide range of products I would definitely give them a call. Much of the equipment is high-end - they are a high-end retailer after all - but even though I spent at the lower end of the scale I was treated as if I was spending many thousands of pounds. He didn't even try to get me to buy expensive cables suggesting instead I listened to what I had and sought advice to adjust from there. Friendly, open and honest is a pretty much perfect combination for me. Very highly recommedned.

I came across Home Media, when I was looking to add a power amp to my Quad Vena. Home Media had a pre owned Naim Nap 100 for sale. As I am based just outside of Bristol, I decided to email Home Media. In my email I mention the Naim DACV1 and would this be a good upgrade to replace my Quad Vena. Simon came back to me and offered to send the Naim Nap 100 and the Naim DACV1, to demo and decide which combo was to my liking. This showed me that Home Media are very customer focused, especially as I was a new customer and Simon did not know me or even met me. Anyway I tested the Quad and Naim and decided on the Naim setup. Simon setup a real good deal with my trade ins and I am one happy hifi nut. I am so satisfied, I am now upgrading my speakers. I have found my experience with Home Media, especially Simon an enjoyable experience and I am sure the rest of the guys at Home Media are excellent. My message to anyone looking to buy a new system or upgrade, to connect the boys at Home Media, you won't regret it. You will end up with the system you always dreamed of. I have known the team at Homemedia for a while now and have no hesitation in recommending them. Their friendliness and customer service is exceptional. When my Naim Amp developed a fault on Christmas Eve, Simon was round that evening (yes Christmas Eve) with a spare, having learnt of my issue, They were keen for me to keep the spare until my own units was repaired and upgraded.

My first contact with HM was around 11 years ago, taking advantage of a ‘trade in’ offer on my turntable, in exchange for the Rega P3. Little did I realise that in the following years my whole systems (main and bedroom) would be comprehensively upgraded, and not just once. This was not because of the ‘hard sell’, but because of the team’s enthusiastic and inspirational guidance down various avenues of kit, in a time scale dictated by my needs. Primarily it is my love of music (and film) that is my undoing. Despite ageing ears – the ability and need to experience good sound is very demanding mistress indeed! All ultimately manifested in the Kef Reference 3’s, which I can confidently say will see me out now. Ultimately however, the experience of buying is now more of a transaction between friends – to the extent that even if a competitor can deliver from stock, I would rather place an order with HM, and receive the goods whenever (with a smile).

When u buy an expensive product u would expect not only the quality, but the service u will get either before and after u purchase it. U will get both in this store, the real customer service which is not in place for many big franchise stores in the UK.
