Loved it Shaun the sheep and all his friends at Christmas.

This is an absolute excellent example of how customer service with high standards should be done.
The staff here are absolutely lovely and so very helpful.
I have attached some photos of crates we picked up for an absolute steal!
The food court is a must in my eye! There is also a parenting room that we did not know about!
Thanks Fenwick!
Z. S.
Really fantastic store, priced pretty muchbin line with elsewhere. Excellent selection of toys in the children's department and a lovely range of clothing. Christmas windows were fantastic to see, my daughter loved the Shaun the Sheep theme!

I just love this shop, so many happy memories. Love the way its been updated. 2021 Christmas Windows fantastic

Had lunch here today with a couple of friends in the Terrace Restaurant. Whole experience was excellent, especially the staff who worked very hard but still had a personal approach to all customers, especially the manager. I observed one member of staff, without hesitation, carrying a meal to a table as the elderly customer had mobility issues. Very impressed with all staff.
The meals themselves were excellent and very nicely presented, the mince and dumplings ( of which there were 3 )were delicious.
All in all we really enjoyed our visit and we'll be back again soon!!

So we went up to roof thirty nine as we had heard there was a cocktail bar there. It's a lovely well set up area very tastefully decorated. But no cocktail menu, and the small selection that was, was mainly gin (not a fan) so ended up having a glass of wine. Service was nice, but not massively attentive, we waited probably about 10 minutes for our drinks order to be taken, a table that sat down after us actually got served before us. Drinks took another 10 or so minutes to arrive. We weren't in a rush but felt we were just sitting waiting for a long time, we may have had more drinks if the service had been more swift. Would I visit again? Maybe, however I was disappointed with my experience there today

As soon as I found out that Fenwick was getting a rooftop restaurant I knew I had to go!! If you are looking for a good view from the top you'll be disappointed cos there isn't one ! That however was the only disappointment. You have to be allowed up in the lift by confirming booking- lift situated by the flower department. Up to 4th floor and met at top. Little windy when we went but it's covered so not too bad. We picked a load of nibbles to share at lunchtime. Crab on toast was my favourite but the skewers of both chicken and prawn were good. Olives were HUGE with some crisps and the flat bread with dip and crudites were bigger portions than we expected . Bottle of rosé very good. I always like some ice to keep my drink extra cold but was asked if I wanted frozen grapes instead. Revelation! Cold, not watered down and got a dessert when they defrosted. Also no extra cost🙂 staff could not have been nicer. Daz was 1 of only 4 men present so think it's a bit of a 'ladies who lunch' place but he didn't care as enjoyed it too. Just under £70 so we'll worth it.

Newcastle's premier department store. I love Fenwick's and the food court reminds me very much of Harrods. Well worth a visit as these types of stores in the UK are rapidly disappearing. You can buy almost anything here and it has a great selection of foods from across the globe as well as designer clothes and fashion accessories.

Nicola did an amazing blow-dry. She did it very passionately and the results are awesome 🤩

Beautiful massive store spread across multiple floors. Lots to see or do here. They have a homeware dept, child's dept, men's and women's clothing, perfumes, stationary and makeup depts! They offer food and drinks in their food market but also their range of cafes. They now have a top terrace bar too!

Visited Newcastle for the first time yesterday, joining other folks with seats booked for the matinee at the theatre. Had a couple of hours to spare beforehand, plenty of time for lunch then a look around the shops and decided to wander into Fenwicks. Then realized time was ticking by and all the doors I could see were certainly not the way I had entered. I was rescued by the very charming doorman Ian who escorted me on quite a long walk through different departments to the correct door so near the threatre. What a lovely city Newcastle is, very impressed, I had a perfect day and Ian helped by making it more so !!

I like Fenwicks as it's been part of my life for over 60 years.
The Fenwicks window was always a special part of my life at Christmas time and I have followed the tradition from taking my children...then the grandchildren.
They always have a great selection of everything...right across the board.
Sadly though...the toy department has deteriorated over the years.

Popped into Fenwicks on a recent trip to Newcastle, what a beautiful store, the staff were amazing, the ladies on the beauty section we’re so helpful and friendly and welcoming, I wish all stores were like this, if I return to Newcastle this will be my first stop, a great shopping experience in a lovely shop, thank you
T. M.
Only place I could find that had a good selection of toys outside of Xmas period. Well done as it was becoming a nightmare to find stuff I needed for birthday presents
M. J.
Lovely department store with really friendly helpful staff.
Well laid out, very spacious. Can be accessed via escalators or elevators.
Departments to cater for all your needs !
Extensive clothing and furniture departments.
Regularly buy clothes and aftershave / perfume from here, as well as household items.
If you like your deals, sign up online and look out for special 20% events.

Love fenwicks patio upstairs. Had a lovely breakfast then later had cream scone. Would recommend.
S. K.
Needed help with a coat via the Newcastle Concierge Desk. Brilliantly helpful service, well done and on a par with the best (very much amazon in today’s age). I was called back quickly a couple times to check some details and everyone was always polite and attentive. I was kept informed on the order and the delivery throughout. Thank you
j. z.
Really nice rooftop restaurant/bar overlooking the City Centre. Lovely staff. The food was to a very high standard, great tasting! Reasonably priced. Very happy!
N. H.
Breakfast in the terrace restaurant, you may go in solo but some friendly soul will always chat to you! Excellent choice of goods on all floors, a bonus if you visit when the@Home and fashion sales are on. Something for everyone.

Fenwick's was great. The best shop in the country. It's always fun walking through the different departments whether it's furniture, electricals, toys, fashions, there is always something new and exciting. May they continue to prosper and be a great retail experience for locals and visitors far and wide. Christmas is always special and they provide good experiences. Foods and sweets are great also but can be a little expensive but always good quality. Head and shoulders above most other shops in Newcastle or MetroCentre. Good competition for other nearby department options.
M. H.
I love food store area and where you can choose where to sit for Steaks, Fish or Desserts.
A. Y.
High end clothing specialist. Very friendly and regular does canny sales.
s. m.
I went to feed my son in the baby changing/feeding area near Silver Cross department and have never been so impressed with the facilities and separate nursing rooms, thank you for the brilliant service, cleanliness and support 👌
S. C.
Big space, nicely laid out, friendly staff, delicious wheat free brownie but FREEZING cold...

Premier shopping old style and new. Been shopping here for over 50yrs...with my Lovely mam n Dad... Then as a teenager and adult... Then as a mam myself.. The real Santa works at Fenwicks!
J. B.
The Terrace Restaurant situated on the top floor. Love the pots of filter coffee, cheese scones and chocolate brownies. Nice place to sit and seems quite spacious. Friendly staff, would recommend.
K. M.
Always a good shopping experience and the food hall offerings and restaurants are lovely. Tremendous early lunch at Fuego
B. P.
We had a late lunch in Fuego's in Fenwick's today and really enjoyed the experience and the tapas.
We had bread and humus as a starter followed by various tapas which came hot and tasty followed by tiramazo.
Our server, Aga, was very nice, friendly and efficient and we would highly recommend a visit but don't forget to book.
N. G.
Fabulous choice but overpriced. Local produce and great quality but some things are products you can get elsewhere much cheaper.
r. t.
Sophie in women’s wear was so helpful and friendly, aided me in making my purchase and was very flattering, lovely girl!
K. H.
A classic iconic landmark. Keeps it's traditional olden day look. Pristine. Always excited to visit Fenwicks windows at Christmas. Level 3 is the toys and build a bear. Brilliant service at the toy department. Also we tried on perfumes and the assistants kindly offered us samples. A nice food court and the Majorca Cafe is reasonable priced and has hot meals made on the premises and scones and refreshments also. Nice atmosphere.
E. C.
Great one way system in place, easy to follow and hand sanitizers readily available. The shop has obviously gone through a refurb and is looking super fresh. A safe friendly place to shop and all staff have clear visors to wear. A great Covid19 shopping experience.
K. B.
Had my brows and brow pinching massage in Fenwick blink brow bar absolutely amazing i would definitely recommend friends and family 👍
S. C.
The food hall has some excellent vegan choices including Veganatomy ( Japanese/Korean food), Rafi's spice box and Magpye pies
c. g. m.
Very helpful but not muck choice of fridge freezer but I love the one I got you get for what you pay for x
J. S.
In the current climate of closures Fenwick is a decent place to be ,nice atmosphere, good layout of decent brands. Can get busy and ground floor narrow aisles don't help .Enjoyed my visit ,Newcastle needs Fenick as its centre .
D. A.
Went in to get the sauvage elixir and met Kia, the woman at the Dior section. She is an amazing worker and made my day actually. Very communicative and friendly and helped persuade me to purchase the Dior Oud. Had the best customer service experience I've ever had honestly, I'll definitely be back to the Dior section to say hi and have a convo. Big up Kia, best worker in there.
P. B.
Always very helpful staff. Loads of choice, great designers. It's like the Harrods of Newcastle. The food hall is great too
D. G.
True wonderful old style department store with a real Christmas buzz.
E. A.
Well what can I say , fenwicks is just pure class in retail therapy. when my family an I visiting Newcastle that is the essential store experience paramount , customer service elite quality. Especially the concierge on the door welcoming. To the ladies on the YSL, Dior, always a pleasure viewing new lines an existing products. When I am not able to get to Newcastle. I send my brother, he loves the chat an the client consultation with Ysl an Dior consultant. Fenwicks I cannot reiterate thank ever so much for the wonderful experience when you are in great desperate need of retail therapy, from high end designer Couture fashion to homeware, electrical appliances toys, even a visit to the powder room, the Ladies that clean look after cloakroom an toilets impeccable pristine nothing is a problem very polite curtious good customer service thank you ladies. Wonderful store💗💗💗👏👏👏 elx
J.
My favourite place to choose decor in the citycenter.
l. G.
Truly excellent customer service, from the moment you are greeted at the door the staff are wonderful. There's something for everyone in store, the food hall is dangerously packed full of yumminess, cafe is great. The whole shopping experience is lovely.
A. H.
We booked a table at the Roof 39 Alpine Bar & loved the concept - it was great being able to see all of Northumberland street & they were all set up for a cold rainy night too with coverings, heaters and blankets.
However, they have a weird system where they essentially lock you in. Someone has to come and unlock the front door to let you in and the same when you leave which is really strange. There's also only bar snacks on the menu and not full meals so don't go here if you're hoping to have a meal!
Staff were lovely - think they just need to work on getting a separate entrance for the bar!
C. S.
A real pleasure to be in such a friendly and fabulous department store. Stylish and so much to look at with Christmas looming.
I had the pleasure of my make up done by the amazing Debs at Trinny London. I have been attracted to this brand online with the lovely creamy textures. She was able to guide me in the correct products and colours for my skin and showed me how to apply them. I came away feeling a million dollars and much more glam. Thanks, Debs, and I am looking forward to using my new products!!
A. K.
Just had to say what a wonderful experience Santa's supper club was. It was truly magical, my grandchildren were mesmerised. Thank you to everyone who made our night so special 💕 🎅🤶🧑🎄🥰
C. T.
Had a lovely time visiting fenwicks today. You're immaculately dressed doorman, was so kind and helpful. Myself and my husband are in newcastle for a few days. Coming from London, we where completely lost. He told us the best places to go, and he was such a lovely guy, a proper credit to fenwicks. Everybody is so friendly, in newcastle, will definitely be coming back. You're food Hall was epic. Thankyou.
L. B.
I have always loved Fenwick as a store, when l was younger l would struggle to find an exit. 😀
J. C.
Always a pleasure to visit - the store has a wide range of products and services. There are so many concessions, which again offer great service too - well worth the time to explore.
T. T. G. (.
Have been regularly visiting Fenwick's when in Newcastle each year at Christmas to view the window and pick up gifts for the family. I was always impressed with the you section but have to say on this visit in 2021 I was disappointed by the selection in offer and it also felt very disorganised.
D. R.
Historic store, great selection of quality produce, long term employer for the town. Not too happy about how the delicatessen was changed imo.
j. l.
Good setting to have a light lunch with friends. Excellent omelette and a good glass of wine served by very good staff
S. B.
What a lovely shop very friendly staff and very helpful got myself a lovely jacket and perfume so looking forward to my next visit.
J. N.
Fenwick as a store is very good. They have a great good hall. An amazing selection of whisky. They do great deals on electronics. Bought all my TV from there.
At Christmas time the window is amazing. My daughter loves it. Its one of her favourite things to do.
We have been doing Santa on the roof since it started. Its always amazing. Santa is great and the place looks amazing. Great value for money.
However this year was a bit of a let down. There was a big storm night before. Loads of places canceled. There was no information coming from Fenwick at all. We risked it and went. But people might not have done. All it would have taken was a post on social.
A. W.
Fresh flower stall outside Fenwick, staff are friendly and helpful
H. C.

C. C.

Loved the shopping day out in Fenwicks. Great food in the Market Place - Mason and Rye. Love the cakes..!!
L. O. E.
Fenwick house most of the top brands and luxury designer concessions including Mulberry, Victoria Beckham's VVB range and Michael Kors, Tommy as well as affordable high-street names including Topshop All Saints and Joules. It's not just the first floor women's department that's teeming with labels for the perfect Newcastle night out outfit; you can find brands such as Paul Smith, Hugo Boss, Barbour and Under Armour amongst the high quality menswear concessions in Fenwick, too.
I visit Fenwick to shop mostly for Tommy products and perfumes.
They also have an hilltop restaurants.
R. P.
Looking for wife's new slippers and nothing much on shelves - advised there were ongoing supplies issues affecting this.
Enter very helpful assistant who went away to search storeroom & return with last pair of correct size Xmas slippers - thanks for rescuing my Christmas day in the dog house.
M. R. H.
Large store with many retailers all under one roof
The toy store on top floor was my children's favourite

This is a great quality store and has been for as long as I can remember. My grandma used to take me there as a child. Still has high standards and fantastic range of outlets and products
L. M.
Didn't go in nor do i have any idea about what they sell but their Christmas window display is Fantastic!!!!
P. B.
Fenwick window disappointing. Very little animation. Good sale in the basement on Xmas items, mostly at half price. Toy department great
i. d.
Mens clothing department, well set out with lots of choice, staff pleasant and helpful
D. M.
Lovely traditional city centre department store.
Huge choice of designer label clothing, fragrances and excellent food hall, deli, wine and locally produced beers
S. J.
A true Newcastle institution, love the place, can find anything your heart desires, alough it’s pricey
V. J.
Wonderful old style department store on the outside inside everything you could need think a mini Harrods! Very central.
M. S.
Very impressive place, especially the price of a toaster. Reminded me of Harrods 😂
S. R.
Staff are very friendly and store is clean and organised. Lifts available for wheelchair access to all floors.
P. K.
Fantastic food shop and eating but clothes over priced can't find a place where you get normal clothes
B. S.
Great department store, warm & friendly staff. Lots of choice from clothing etc, but there food dept, Oh my! All I can say is treat yourself, superb quality. #cakes!
J. S.
I love this place, anything you could ever need is inside this shop. The food hall area is recently refurbished and the top floor of toys is like a children's paradise.
From clothes to makeup and electricals to sofas there is nothing you can't find.
A. R.
Good choice of gifts and goods but didn't have what I wanted but still worth a visit. The food hall is fantastic and a great choice of food and sweets.
L. W.
Absolutely no one serving at tills on 3rd floor.
Took me 5 minutes to select item I wanted and another 10 minutes trying to pay for item
J. C.
Fabulous place to shop. Not to busy
E. D.
I visited to buy gifts for my daughters birthday but the top floor has been taken over by my generation dolls. Not much choice in barbie or baby dolls which is what she asked for. I left with nothing and went to smyths. Very disappointed
D. S.
One of the few remaining traditional department stores. A lovely store, stunning window displays at Christmas time.
B. V.
This store has a huge collection. Worth visiting it. Many brands in one store. My personal opinion about the staff is very different in different occasions...
Food department and liquor section staff was super friendly and very courteous. Staff was very eager to give inputs....
On other hand when I visited there shoe and undergarments section staff was busy in chit chatting within themselves...
R. E.
Roof top restaurant fantastic what more can I say It's Fenwick's food nothing but the best
A. D.
First class shopping then into the cafe for lunch, with 9 yr old greatgrandaughter.
A. P.
Large store with vast selection of products worth a visit when in Newcastle.
X.
Typical Fenwicks. Very clean and well laid out
The shop has a lot of lovely things for sale at a fair price.
The only problem l had was when asking directions for the toilets l was directed all over the store, even the security guards seemed to have no idea, or that was the impression l got. Eventually found them next to the books and toys.
c. c.
Went to Cafe 21 inside Fenwick. The department store had good brands sold.
A. H.
A lovely departmental shop bursting at the seam with quality at all levels
V. B.
Usually I love Fenwick's Christmas department but this year I'm seriously underwhelmed, in the dungeon and as another lady I overheard said "where are the rest of the baubles?" Hardly anything in and actually I came away rather depressed and disappointed. Only the jolly Christmas window saved the day ☹️
M. H.
Still here after all these years! Can't be bad
H. S.
Just loved experience of browsing, so fresh, light and spacious.
J.
Much better layout in store, fewer fashion lines though and choice. Automatic door at the entrance, however the signage above the lifts is hard to read if you are not tall or in a wheelchair as the lights shine on it and make it hard to read. Well worth visiting more than once though and you might even find a bargain or two along the way if you catch the sales. A little over powering going past the perfume counters and sometimes the instore music is too loud and I have to leave.
R. R.
Plenty of high quality stuff to get here. Great Whisky store
J. L.
I bought myself a Sony SRS-XB13 speaker from the tech depart. The assistant there gave brilliant customer service. He went above and beyond demonstrating the product. I wasn’t bowled over by the colours of the speaker on offer, but because of his sales technique and genuine help I bought the speaker in store rather than going elsewhere for the full colour range.
My girlfriend bought exactly what she wanted form the Liz Earle concession. The ambassador was very helpful and continued to give us a unique sales experience.
J. M.
Love Fenwicks since I was a child. Lots of great memories shopping with my Dad . It feels like treat to shop in the store . Always treat myself to some hand picked chocolates from the food store . Fantastic high end brands 👏 and touch of luxury. X
L. A.
Fantastic shopping experience. Love having a mooch around Fenwicks. Could wander all day
D. M.
Love shopping here great variety of goods
T. N.
Fenwick's is an institution, food is always nice in the restaurants and the shop sells a very wide range of quality products. When visiting the Christmas window my son was knocked over by a running shoplifter and they staff couldn't have been nicer taking us I'm and making sure he was ok.
M. T.
Lovely shop, you can buy anything you need
A. P.
Fenwick's has always been a favourite store since moving to the UK, today has been one of those wonderful memorable moments that brings me back to the store. Lindsay from Home Fragrance has been very helpful and lovely in helping me get one of my favourite candles. She is so helpful and lovely taking time to find what i was looking for and wrapping up my purchase. It has been a great experience and will love to see much more of her at the store.
J. T.
I like a lot of men in Newcastle I would imagine do not know my way round Fenwicks. So I did have to ask where the sweets were as I wanted some truffles for my dads birthday.
The man I did ask was very helpful, the woman on the truffles counter was just lovely she really was. I did buy some truffles for my dad. So all in all a very successful trip.🍬🍭🍬🍭🍬🍭🍭🍬🍭
D. O.
A good place to stay go for everything you need. Can be a bit confusing to negotiate leaving but a good few hours can be spent here.
L.
Fenwick is a time served staple on Northumberland Street. It wouldn't be the same if it wasn't there with its Christmas windows and finely dressed displays.
They have a lovely choice of coffee shops & cafés in this marvelous department store (which I always enjoy). I love the food court too .....
I buy everything from clothes & perfume to food and home-ware. They even have a salon on the third floor which I've used over the years for nails, hair and beauty.
The toilets and service areas are immaculate. I've been coming for decades and it's only ever got better, fresher & bolder. They're definitely doing something right to have survived more than one recession. I sincerely hope to enjoy their services for many more years to come ☺️
The aesthetic appeal of this building from Northumberland Street is 100% breathtaking and represents the astounding architecture in our city. The next time you're taking a stroll have a real look at the buildings from the ground up and see if you don't feel as proud to be a northerner as I do.
I wholeheartedly recommend this magnificent, outstanding (and at times magical) department store .....
Stay COVID safe - Remember 'hands, face, space' 🌈

Loved Santa on the rooftop with my 9yr old, worth the money great experience.
A. B.
Christmas window is great again, well worth a visit. The store is as varied as usual - plenty of choice and great value
D. W.
Always a pleasure to shop here. Especial thanks to a young man who went out of his way to be helpful in the Christmas department.
C. R.
Still a great store - tremendous variety, and competitive pricing.
J. T.
The shop was light and airy, well set out, very welcoming, making you want to go further in
C. W.
Santa on the roof top was fab, our 2 year old thoroughly enjoyed it
K. C.
Went mainly for the coffee shop, very good too, had pot of tea and scone and butter. Compared to my visit to the Tunbridge Wells branch this experience was infinitely better both service and price! Are these facilities run by a franchise I wonder. Overall tho Fenwicks are a quality department store.
C. R.
Great shop
With excellent staff
The Harrods of the north
d. m.
I love this store, gorgeous departments, lots of places to eat, toilets and baby change facilities. Staff helpful and friendly..
F. B.
Great food but a bit pricey.
R. X.
Recommended for shopping and food. Great place for window shopping too! Car parking - be careful about the time.
J. D.
Excellent store. Fabulous food hall with places to eat too. Good range of luxury food items. Seems to be popular to eat in the food hall.
V. B.
Great shop, can get lost in it 😊
A. S.
Always busy. Vast array of goods but very confusing lay out
J. L.
Before lock down we used to always go to the restaurant for Sunday lunch so decided to go yesterday. We were really looking forward to it but it was quite disappointing. We expected the price to go up but the portion size was ridiculous we ordered large Sunday roast and it was cold and tiny portion even the table next to us were disappointed. Only one plus was the staff really lovely. Sorry but will be going elsewhere from now on.
K. J.
The food hall is amazing. Expensive but mostly worth it
L. “.
Do not miss Fuego in the food hall for tapas & a cheeky glass of cava
G. R.
Always a nice shopping experience, shop assistants are extremely helpful too. Would always highly recommend 👍
A. P.
What a place. Thinned things out. Looks great. Can see what you are looking for. Be great when cafe running on all cylinders. Miss the cooked food on display.
J. C.
Lovely department store. Friendly staff.
J. B.
Great Christmas windows at Fenwicks Shaun the sheep we visit every year Newcastle is a great place to visit lots to do and see
R. W.
Incredibly, the only place in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne to buy a Montblanc pen. Unfortunately I only wanted ink and they didn't have the colour I wanted.
I didn't look at anything else, but it appeared to be a well stocked store to go deeply in debt at
v. r.
It's really how a department store should be. We went to the ground floor cafe. Coffee, cakes and scones all excellent. Then to the food court for some artisan bits and bobs. If you want something a bit special it is the place to go. Excellent kitchen range and lots and lots of clothing. Good selection of books which made the children happy. We didn't get any toys but the selection looked very good.
R. P.
Left school shoe shopping a bit late and Fenwick's kids shoes on the third floor came up trumps when Clark's and Clinkards didn't have anything in the right size. No waiting, helpful staff and good quality Startrite shoes.
G. S.
Lovely food in the cafe will use again
A. K.
We had a lovely meal in the Terrace Restaurant in Fenwick's.
J. C.
Fenwick's have dropped their habadshry department used to be a go-to for that stuff.
S. F.
Wow! Absolutely loved SantaOnTheRoof! What an amazing experience for our kids. The staff were fantastic, very helpful, kind and helped our oldest overcome his shyness. The shop had loads of local gifts and everywhere was really good at following government guidance. Fenwick, keep up the good work
A. L.
Love this shop. Unfortunately if your a little unsteady on your feet of simply need to sit down you can't, even in elgon sq and northumberland St. There are very few seats, I struggled as not very good walking and standing..
R. O.
they got a really nice collection of honey
A. M.
Best shopping center. All Brand's under one roof✌️
J. H.
You have to check out the food hall. Highly recommended.
C. C.
Great store very friendly staff very helpful 👍
a. b.
Lovely department store, everything you need for your home, although I find the delicatessen rather pricey, the food in the cafe's is reasonable and yummy, the smell in the make up section is gorgeous,
J. P.
Just a lovely shopping or eating experience, go and enjoy
A. C.
Great selection always visit here when i visit the in laws
K. L.
Went to Fenwick to buy a tumble dryer on Monday. I was served by Denise who was so helpful and had such a lovely attitude. She made my shopping experience stress free, I will definitely be going to see Denise again when I need to make another purchase and I have it just in time for the New Year.
D. D.
Loved it. An old fashioned but thoroughly modern independent department store. Staff are wonderfully helpful and I look forward to my next visit
C. M.
I cannot speak highly enough of the beautiful lovely staff, impeccable service and top notch food. Huge thank you for looking after us so well, had the best day 🥰❤️

A luxury shopaholic's paradise. It is the retailer's flagship store, Newcastle's foremost and prestigious purveyor of luxury & premium goods. It has the trendy buzz of Harvey Nichols. It has a fantastic food hall comparable to that at Selfridges, Fortnum & Mason in London. I just love the vibe whenever I'm there, it's young, energetic, traditional but very in touch with the contemporary.
Fenwick Eldon Square is most certainly second to none (in the Northeast) also as regards fantastic window merchandising all year round and most especially around Christmas. Hence, the Northumberland Street windows are a delight for families with young children from Newcastle & further afield in the Northumberland & Cumbria whom annually partake in this form of entertainment and of course gift ideas gifts.
My favourite parts of the store in order of preference are the beauty hall, women's fashion & accessories (many fashion brands are well represented), Food Hall, cookshop. The nice, knowledgeable and ever helpful employees whom deliver great service with a smile as they help with purchases etc.
T. H.
It's got a great choice for wallpaper, lights, laps
M.
While it has a bit of everything and the delicatessen counter staff were bloody lovely, the lack of signs to help navigation and being stuck getting lost bothered me enough that I got sick of trying to find where I wanted to do and just left
J. R.
This has been my favourite department store for many years.
T. J.
Utterly gorgeous! A brilliant example of a department store done right. The set-up is beautiful, everything is displayed to best advantage, the staff are amazing and the food in the cafe is proper north-east, tasty, fill-your-belly-full fantastic!
I highly recommend a visit. And you'll find things here you can't get just anywhere. Very good for high end, high quality products or clothing. And if you want something beautiful for a gift, then this is the place for you. The range is great and the service is brilliant!
L. M.
I would like to thank Phil on his 5 star customer service on the perfume it was my grandaughters birthday and she wanted to treat herself to some perfume he was amazing with her she I would like to thank him x
J. W.
Traditional department store on Northumberland st Newcastle not accessible by car
T. C.
One of my preferred shops in Newcastle since lockdown. Fab range in clothes, shoes, bags, jewelry and makeup. The food store is also well worth a visit
L. A.
Top shop. One of Newcastle s finest. Bargains to be found
H. B.
Our first visit since lockdown as been shielding. I knew things would be different with the way things are. However did not expect to be served child sized meals in the restaurant despite it being near empty. The shop floor staff were less than helpful too. Fenwick's has always been my favourite store and sorry to say we were very disappointed on this occasion.
M. A.
Nice staff, they try to be helpful but always seem very busy.
Worth noting that they don't stock size 6 lingerie or clothing.
M. M.
Beautiful designer clothes, and variety of jewelry
c. 1.
Very exclusive lovely place to shop
A. J. R. B.
The food hall is excellent but the basement kitchen dept was very disappointing. It was a shadow of it's former self. Hardly any stock. Was shocking to see.
P. M.
This is a lovely shop. Great variety of things from food to clothes. Rather on the expensive side for most things.
R.
Great shop, top quality.
S. M. H.
Fenwick is like no other department store. In my opinion there is nothing comparable. They stock a vast quantity of products from many different brands. If you've never been and are in the area it is well worth a visit. Especially enjoyable is the Christmas section.
T. O.
It's just a great place to shop it's a lush shop thanks Fenwick 😊
J. Y.
my wife purchased a pair of shoes and a clutch bag for a wedding ...everyone we spoke to was very friendly and the service we received was excellent ...thankyou ..
A. D.
Fenwick is my favourite store in Newcastle love ladies fashion cosmetic department and the food hall and restaurants are amazing staff friendly and helpful my only objective is home furnishings bedding and electrics need more everyday items and equipment
G.
Expensive and good quality items.
Lots of furniture, household wares.
M. L.
Cant beat Fenwick's Food Hall.if your looking for a treat. Wonderful Deli's and Bakery and a fantastic range of coffee's. Judging by the number of people this is the fo to lunch bar away from the Hurley burley of Northumberland Street.
B.
Great traditional department store in the centre of Newcastle.
D. W.
Great selection of brands (menswear). Store looked very well presented
C. T.
We went to the food court here! The food is lovely I would absolutely go here again.
M. C.
Not the quickest service as staff had to find specific products which weren't available on the shop floor and had to be found and brought from "upstairs".
Z. M.
Amazing store the very best store in necastle.
S. G.
Great experience with helpful staff on womens clothing and lighting. Toilets were clean and well organised. If I had a negative it would be the lack of signage for where/which tills were operational but really that was a minor niggle.
M. D.
My favourite shop in Newcastle since I was 4, but even better now they have the food hall
V. S.
Great service helped me get what I want. Plus there Christmas window display is class.
J. B.
Whenever I come up from Liverpool I always go here. I have travelled widely and to me in all my experiences this is the best shop in the world
P. D.
Coffee with a friend
Plenty of space
Delicious hot chocolate and carrot cake.
M. S.
Fantastic choice. Love shopping here
K. S. G.
Would love to leave a review for such a lovely helpful girl vic Anderson on the Charlotte tilbury counter. She went above and beyond her job trying to help find a new foundation for me. She knew exactly what would suit me and she was right. I absolutely love it and can’t thank her enough. The products are fabulous won’t use anything else from now on. Thank you Karen
أ. ا.
Great shopping place ,,
Excellent coffee
B. L.
Very good same as usual great shop 2 year old grandaughter loved it
L. W.
Patio restaurant. Good selection of hot dishes, sandwiches and scones. Quite busy at lunchtime but there were still seats. Staff were pleasant and helpful. A bit pricey compared to some other places out there but it's worth paying a little extra.
I just had a scone today, my friend had a sandwich which comes with some salad in a bowl and crisps, she said it was good
M. F.
Fenwick's is a large department store which sells most major brands of clothing ect for men women and children, Households furniture ,food hall and three resterants. You could spent several hours here, Christmas have wonderful window desplays, fabulous.
N. D.
Connor in Barker and Stonehouse always friendly and helpful.
A. M.
Only just discovered Fenwicks food hall! It's absolutely amazing. Fantastic choice of products to suit everyone's tastes. It was like wandering around a outdoor market abroad.
J. T.
Both the shop and cafes are very expensive, but this is easily the best department store in Newcastle. The food hall is a great place to pick up some quality gifts, especially for those who enjoy a drink. Staff are really friendly, knowledgeable and always go the extra mile to help you. The Christmas window is always really popular as well.
P. N.
This is by far the best shop overall in Newcastle.
All the top brands are available here
It's also has an amazing coffee shop and upstairs the fantastic.small.branch of cafe 21.
C. H.
Quality store. Lovely staff. Get just about anything you want here.
S. M.
Fenwicks has been a part of Newcastle since time began..the window displays at Christmas are absolutely beautiful..and free for all to see..they put their hearts and souls into making it a must set Christmas for families young and old..and people come from far away to see the efforts of the dedicated team who make it possible
M. S.
I preferred the old food hall. This one has very little for me. Otherwise the store is very good. The babies changing and feeding rooms on the third floor are excellent, as are the ladies powder rooms. The Regis hairdresser is very good and convenient. They can normally fit me in without an appointment. The toy section is great, so much choice, and the kitchen goods down on the lower ground floor is always worth a look.
P. J.
Needed to resolve a problem with my TV and the level of customer service I received was excellent. The service manager Richard was very understanding and handled the situation very well. Wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future.
j. y.
Outstanding food market.
Good choices throughout store
C. C.
Nice coffee, but nothing special.
R. T.
Great staff looking after their customers helping them follow the covid guidelines rather than barking orders like a lot of places! Fantastic Christmas gifts and decorations available.. simply love Fenwicks!
G. S.
During new restrictions with covid I am pleased to see that the fantastic breastfeeding facilities are still in operation. They also have a hand sanitizer person at each entrance who squirt you with gel on entry and have a one way route marked out on the floor. Every member of staff I have met seems super friendly. My only complaint is that some of the marked one way areas in the store seem to get toh stuck into loops that lead to nowhere (if you are following them correctly) which is a little bit frustrating and forced people to go against the flow just to get out of the shop.
A. M.
Fenwick is a Tyneside institution. Beautiful store in every respect. We always make visit to its stunning food Hall to purchase some of the best quality artisan produce available. Have been shopping at Fenwicks all our lives, long may it continue 👌👌👍👍
W. f.
Been going here since I was a young boy plenty of choice and all your top brands amazing
D. W.
Really good place to shop and I really really like all the close the deal especially for Christmas The only one is Fenwick window It’s not just about the window is about the queue because I’ve got all the way along just to find rubbish it’s a tourist attraction But it’s not as much as a tourist attraction for fenwicks need to make fenwicks window better
M. A.
Great store for shopping ... Has everything you need. Lovely store environment .. shame I can't say the same about the colleague on the payment till in the restaurant area.. she looked like he had been slapped around the face with a wet fish. Costs nothing to smile and be courteous. Should have been myself who looked miserable after paying ££4.50 for a kid's meal that consisted of one slice of bread folded into a sandwich and about £1.50 worth of mini snacks.
R.
I love Fenwick. It's a nice place to shop, with some great places to eat, like Cafe 21. They have some of my favourite clothing and beauty concessions. The reason I am not giving 5 stars, is that both sets of customer toilets are really in need of attention... leaky taps, damaged plasterwork and bits of trim hanging off. They are letting down what is otherwise a lovely, high-end department store.
D. S.
Great shopping experience make sure your u take a lot of money.
J. N.
What a lovely Food Hall, I could have spent so much!
k. t.
Always use the toilet there, prices are stupid
R. M.
I absolutely love Fenwick in Newcastle. It's a nice place to go have a browse about even if you don't want to purchase anything. The staff always seem lovely and I like the fact you're not bombarded by staff all the time asking you if you're okay or if you need help like in other stores - it's more relaxed that way! The only reason I've have 4 stars is that it's a maze getting to the loos and also because a lot of the products are out of my price range. 😅
R. F.
Some great products, particularly the deli and fresh bread. However, the food hall itself feels cluttered since the remodel and although stock feels more high end it no longer feels as good value. Fashion departments get some good stock in but can at times feel claustrophobic (particularly ground floor) but the perfume and beauty staff are all hugely helpful.
S. M.
Visited Fenwick recently for a personal appearance and signing opp of WWE Ricochet, just before his appearance at the Newcastle Arena, while my son and his friend were in the very long line I had a look around this fab store and it certainly is, it has been many years since I have been in Fenwick and it still does not disappoint. I had a sandwich and a drink in the terrace restaurant, a bit pricey but the cheese savoury sandwich was on of the best I have ever tasted. And as for the rest of the shop well you have to come and see for yourself, there really aren't many shops like this left, classic old world charm and appeal with up to date looks and feel, keep up the good work Fenwick…..
M. H.
A department store that likes to think they cater for the more up markets crowd. I think the attitude of the staff far outreaches the reality. Looking back I think I have received more rude comments and looks from staff in Fenwick than all other shops put together.
Real classbin my opinion is treating all customers with care and respect not just the ones you think measure up to your perception of who should be shopping in your store.
Get over yourselves Fenwick employees.
S. I.
Amazing shop and the food hall is AMAZING, highly recommend stoping for some food and drink.
Staff are fabulous!
C. B.
It has everything you need. Last year I purchase all my kitchen appliances there. I ordered a fridge freezer, oven, hob. I was given good advice, on what to purchase for what I needed. I asked if they could recommand someone to do all the electrical job. They did & he was very good.
The price was reasonable & it was delivered. I paid a charge to have the old item taken out but it was worth it.
S. W.
Nice with a good toy department ontop but and can help when navigating town to cut through with friendly staff, items can be on the pricier side though, but in general its good
W. C.
A bit crowded, especially in the foodhall but great service and smiles from all the staff. One lady went out of her way to find me a gift card. Much appreciated.
D. L.
Lovely store but very much over the top price wise,!
L. M.
Great local tradional department store a must visit
A. S.
Gingercake and the head inspector were amazing alongside the others on Sunday.
Silly me forgot my times all wrong and they were so kind and so great with the kids sorting out an option so we could still see the movie and took us private showing and were really kind and lovely. Nice incentives too with the mulled wine for adults and popcorn and juice for the little ones which was a lovely added extra. They had it all decorated up which looked great with lots of fab quirky elf related decoration and a lovely photo shot opportunity area too which was very nice. Would totally recommend but is sold out so quickly every year and no wonder !
J. S.
Had a lovely coffee and cake
N. G.
Our own little Harrods. Excellent customer care. Sells high quality. Food Hall especially recommended. Great at Xmas. Still offers interest free credit options. Brilliant window displays. Love it!
E. F.
I love a wander round this shop. One if the last remaining department stores. Make sure you visit so this doesn't go down like Debenhams.
G. H.
Can't go there often as I would be totally broke, quality items all the way, browsing the stalls is great fun. Quality staff too providing great customer service and willing to help as much as possible.
D. H.
Hate shopping but love shopping at Fenwick's quality products great range at good prices staff spot on always willing to help 5 year insurance on TVs great deal in itself price match love it
A. M.
Lovely window display, as always around Xmas time.
D.
Marvellous old style LARGE store. It had everything, A real pleasure to browse through.
T. D.
Love it, visited the food hall for cake and coffee
L. T.
Big department store, has most things that you would ever need! A wide variety of things for children and adults - great for buying presents. The only problem is that it can be very pricey, so bring about double the amount of money you originally wanted to spend! It is also one of those shops that are so massive that you can get lost; look out for the various exits on different floors!
G. G.
I love Fenwick any day. The shop had wide variety and range of products. The clothes section is really nice with all the favourite brands. Even the home department is excellent. You can get range of linen and duvets. The furniture and appliances are of supreme quality. It is one stop shop for Christmas and personal use. The food store has cuisine from pretty much every variety. The Fenwick window during the Christm is quite famous as well.
G. L.
Great shop. Lots of clothing and great household shop. Always fantastic food hall
S. P.
Lovely food and very pleasant outside space. Although short staffed on the day of our visit it was still a fantastic experience.
M. M.
First time on the bus to Newcastle in about 3 years,so i asked the boss were would you like to go for lunch so she picked 21s in Fenwick good choice i said. A little bit of a wait but it was lunch time so no complaints on that, we were shown to our table, waitress took our order fish finger and chips and the wife had king prawns in spaghetti, lovely can't fault it excellent all round
M. C.
What can you say, other than fantastic department store. Lifts to all floors and toilets on each level. Animated Christmas window displays are magical and inside the store is a glittering wonderland of Christmas displays. Absolutely delightful store and so few proper department stores left. Well worth the visit
V. M.
Christmas visit yesterday and the windows are fabulous. The Christmas floor is full and so much to browse. I found some interesting gifts and stocking fillers.
My only disappointment was that Nails Inc left me sitting for 25 mins from my apt time and then said the nail technician was on her own so I would have to wait. I was meeting my son so could not wait another half hour. Never mind it was just for me but would have been frustrating if my apt was for an occasion.
C. E.
Love shopping here. Always happy with my products. Been to a expectant baby event and it was well run. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend.
E. C.
Such a lovely department store. Lots of nice things to look at.
D. S.
This a really great shop, with so much stuff under 1 roof. I feel desperately sorry for them and their staff at this time. Shops were struggling to compete with on line retailers, even pre-Covid. People use it, or loose it!! It would be a real shame if the Toon lost this iconic store. Don't forget, its only 12 and a bit weeks until Christmas! Don't make Mr Amazon an even bigger multi BILLIONARE!!! Go to Fenwick and John Lewis instead 👍
M. N.
Impressive store, not sure where people get the money from to purchase items, not in my price range I'm ashamed to say.
J. B.
Lovely department store, loads and loads of stock, lovely helpful friendly upbeat staff with a grand atmosphere could have spent all day there
K. F.
Fabulous shop. The food hall is great. Full of the best local produce. There are loads of cafes and restaurants- all excellent. It's the Harrods of the north
G. B.
Good range of products not to expensive multi floors not to many people in at once
M. E.
Gone nearly every weekend with mum for many many years. Only shop we really go to now as shes in her 80s now and it has everything we need. Shopping food and drink in lovely surroundings. Xmas dept always best around. Xmas window beautiful as ever. Enjoy.
C. G.
We enjoyed the window display very much and our 3 year old Grandson really enjoyed the toy department.
Staff were very friendly when he made a purchase.
F. Z.
Excellent high quality department store. Well worth a visit.
S. M.
Tried the lindisfarne oysters better than expected...
m. D.
Fantastic quality brands really surprised me love this shop
M. J.
I went in to buy a couple of xmas boxes and every one was so helpful
B. M.
Fenwick's is another of the institutions that grace the town center of Newcastle Upon Tyne and happily is still there. Depending on who one asks Fenwick's has the reputation for being a place for people with money but i would recommend that people go and see for themselves and make up their own minds. My view is that unless we the public support establishments like Fenwick's then we have no right to complain when like Debenhams they vanish from our high streets.
L. S.
This is a must when I am down at this time of year. I love to see the Christmas themed windows, this year is Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, its truly wonderful. Inside there is such an array of things you can purchase it's fabulous
A. b.
Great deals in menswear and the staff in moda in pelle section were so helpful. It was very busy but the sales woman went out of her way to find my size in the styles I chose. I bought two pairs of boots saving £140 in total.
F. C.
As always, a fantastic shop, friendly staff and quality goods.
J. H. E.
Love the deli, fresh bread and the cafe
G. M.
At one time I used to visit Fenwick s every Saturday not so much now,but still visit if I need something special to wear.
B. L.
A landmark local department store that offer a good selection of products, the food court and restaurants are of a really high standard.
C. A. T. G.
This is the Harods of Newcastle, Worth Billions and its been here years, one of the best stores in Newcastle if not the no1, it has everything in from clothing footwesr toys jewlery a cafe a sushi bar the works.. Muilti floors snd packed constantly.
L. F.
Well-chuffed with a Barbour bargain here. Staff really helpful and friendly too. Great range of departments.
L. C.
Some clothing on special (reduced) lots of choice. Lovely looking hand made chocolates on sale in the food hall. Mens and womens clothing, shoes, handbags - some high end, jewellery, a whole load of toys and games on the top floor. Some nice toilets.
A. W.
Fenwick's is a brilliant department store with an amazing toy department on the top floor, has a cafe and restaurant. Fabulous place for the ladies to try perfumes and cosmetics and perhaps indulge in a facial while you're there.
S. S.
Fantastic afternoon tea with amazing cake
A. C.
Wow, awesome, awesome, awesome. Food court is unreal. We visited before having lunch. There was so many free samples we didn't need to eat afterwards. Not many drink samples though, so we visited the local witherspoons for cheap beverages.
L. L.
Thank you Fenwick staff. It was a total joy to walk back through your doors again today. Totally uplifting and so well organised. Great vibe.
Lynn 👍👍
o. r.
Great, but a little pricy
S. S.
I have been visiting Fenwicks for many years and have bought many items from their departments. It has always been one of my favourite department stores as I visited with my mother and aunt (my aunt worked for Fenwicks French ladies clothing department) in the 1950's and have frequently visited since. Their cosmetic department is second to none and the staff, in all departments, are friendly and we'll trained. Food is available in the store to take away or eat in store but the environment in the restaurant is not as pleasurable as I remember it it when I was young. Well laid departments throughout the store are always worth a visit.
a. w.
Great department store with a magic tea and tea cake
M. G.
I love Fenwicks, it's well laid out and a pleasure to visit. Unfortunately the fabric department has now closed which is a huge miss, so disappointed.
C. W.
Loved Fenwick's. Fantastic department store with a great range of homeware, clothing, toys and wines/spirits. My only reservation is the new food hall, though beautiful and well stocked it feels cramped and bustling. I found it difficult to take your time and browse. Overall though great store and a definite visit every time I visit Newcastle.
M. A.
A very good place with the best of things
M.
Very helpful staff, LK Bennett the best 👍
R. C.
This place is amazing and it is so big you can easily get lost,so many different shops and so much to choose from.
S. C.
Young girl on Tommy Hillfiger was a star, so patient and helpful as well as polite.
Great customer service
N. W.
Great place to go shopping, they have everything you would want. I was here for gin and they have a great selection. the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. I ended up buying a few bottles to drink and some to bring home.
W. W.
Good department store (if you're loaded!), Can't say I've bought anything from here that wasn't toy related! It is a much nicer experience than Harvey nicks in Leeds.
P. M.
Great department store, selling huge range of products. Many good places to eat within shop. Definitely worth a visit, especially to see their renowned Christmas window displays.
J. S.
I love this department store. It is huge and has been in Newcastle since 1882. There is a themed window display each Christmas, mainly aimed at children, and queues stretch around the block. It's certainly worth seeing. Last Christmas it was the Snowman and Snowdog story.
The toy department on the top floor is legendary and is obviously very busy in the weeks before Christmas. The food department, on the ground floor, also has a good reputation. If you want to buy anything of quality from a department store at Newcastle then this is the place to go. It sells furniture, televisions, China goods. It has it all, including some good cafes.
P. T.
First time here in a long time. In furniture department. Lovey quality goods and pleasant informative staff.
R. S.
Fenwick has always been a favourite shop with a huge variety of things. Lovely cook shop downstairs and good places for food. Also an amazing window every Christmas!
l. d.
Loved the way we had to line up 1 way only no squashing pushing or shoving should be like this evey year as kids did not get stressed and enjoyed the experience love wind and the willows x
S. E.
Absolutely brilliant, especially this time of year with all the Christmas decor, the ship that literally has it all!! The food hall is amazing with a big selection of food, cakes and drinks, also there's pleanty of different clothing brands
G. C.
Always find the staff are fantastic and Happy to help.
J.
This is a luxury department store and sumptuous to look around and satisfy your high end need of luxuries. However everything is over priced but then you expect nothing less for a lovely place like Fenwicks. However I do get confused looking around and finding my way through the store. If things were sign posted a little more clearly I think that would solve it.
T. D.
Good old fashioned customer service (great). Good choice of high quality goods.
P. S.
Pre covid Fenwick is probably the best department store in Newcastle. The store just has this air of quality, not present in many stores in Newcastle. They don't do cheap. Prices range from reasonable to seriously expensive. They do sell nearly anything you could want from kitchen items, designer clothes, perfume and there foothill and restaurants are incredible. Current covid measures have different doors being used for entering and leaving, and another set for the food hall, so be aware.
S. R.
A famous long established store which has ruined it's once excellent food Hall by inviting in various food establishments such as Fortnum and Masons and a Sushi bar to the detriment of its former glory Some outlets are highly priced compared to nearby places offering similar fare much cheaper It has a magnificent Xmas window display however
M. S.
Great service and range (food hall always nice) not the cheapest store in the world but you get what you pay for, don't expect to pay higher than the rest of the shops in town.
D. H.
Love fenwick's food hall & Cafè's always something different, great variety of departments brings back the joy of shopping...we must support these "Palaces" or we loose them..good to see & feel products before buying, lots of inspirations, staff very attentive.
E. D.
Thank you for lovely lunch and for opening changing rooms with staff organising distancing and cleanliness to keep people safe, other shops Debenhams and John Lewis in particular could learn a thing or two. No wonder they are in trouble!
C. D.
More an institution than a shop. Expensive but has a vast range of clothing, electricals, toys, etc. Cosmetics section is massive. Down side is it's all rather posh and expensive - the prices there aren't for the faint hearted. Worth visiting for Christmas window displays that always feature winter scenes, and new year sales. Handy for gifts.
C. D.
Always a pleasure to visit the Foodhall. Knowledgeable staff who have faith in what they are selling and are proud of it. Special mentions to the meat counter and Rafi's Spicebox which if you're into making curries is a must
B. H.
Good range of products. All good quality. Good atmosphere in the store. Plenty of space for shoppers
E. M.
Today my daughter and I and my two grandsons visited Santa on the roof top , it was absolutely fantastic from start to finish!
The elves and Santa were very good and the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves
A magical experience, thank you from us all
Q. u. a.
love love love this store. A to z u will get everything here.. i loved their crafty and decor section. huge variety of products and gift wraps... its little pricey but totally worth it
V. S.
Perfect place to visit with loads of different departments all of the highest quality. Fabulous beauty hall and loads of different venues to eat in depending on your needs. You could not shop in Newcastle without coming here!!
D. M.
If you visit Newcastle, Fenwick has got to be a great choice of store to visit! Fenwick has everything you need and some things only found in store from food on the ground to the latest tech upstairs, there are four public floors of a huge choice of the most top quality items throughout, toilets, lifts, food which may I say is delicious and a fresh clean happy environment too! Happy days in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Enjoyed by all.
S.
Went to get my ears pierced and the staff were very friendly and accommodating . The store in general is very clean and fun to peruse
J. P.
Busy but organised with staff helping to maintain safe distance and majority of shoppers wearing mask, tho some women apparently cant shop with their nose inside the mask!!!
K. U.
Best store in Newcastle and cafe 21 amazing
P. M.
This store is still very good but not as good price wise as it was
G. M.
Couple of bargains in the sales and fantastic food in the food hall
M. U. Z.
Best store ever, I visited first time in 1984.
E. H.
Got lost inside. Had a great time shopping while I attempted to escape :)
F. T.
Who doesnt know Fenwicks.
Really classy department store that has never lost its heart and has never become commercialised thankfully, and why it remains so successful.
j. p.
Walked through full of posh people and negative vibes
H. W.
Lots of choice for men, females and children also they sell household items and food
P. J.
Excellent shop for most things.
8. S. S. 8.
Awesome shop but very expensive. Security are all on point aswell as i see shoplifters arrested almost daily. I believe their security team are ex-military and things like that also so make sure your polite and on your best behaviour lol
P.
Traditional department store with great selection of homeware, furniture, toys, fashion, beauty and appliances with good old fashioned customer service. Gent who helped me select vacuum cleaner was very knowledgeable and took his time to even demonstrate all relevant models.
E. W.
The heart of Newcastle, serving generations of Geordies. No trip to the city can miss out this store. From the finest toy department to the legendary liquor department this serves all.
L. E.
Love love love Fenwick. I think the fact that they aren't on line means they store a nicer and more unusual range than most department stores. The food hall is an absolute feast for the eyes and stomach 😉
Also who couldn't love the wonder on kids faces at the Christmas window! I certainly remember that feeling myself 😊
S. R.
Great shop. Quality products i especially like the food hall.
The Christmas window is excellent this year.
M. E.
Nice things sold
C. H.
We went to shop in the food hall. The staffs were helpful. However, The selection of food was quite limited, specially gluten free options. The food hall was also quite small that it is not easy to shop and walking pass people.
A. M.
Love this old style department store but with a modern twist
D. B.
Staff excellent in Fenwick's today especially the lady on the Dune shoes department. Well done Fenwick's for making me and my daughter feel safe in your shop.
C. J.
A Newcastle institution. People travel from all over the North to visit Fenwicks. Has everything you could possibly want. The recently refurbished food hall is incredible. Prices can be extortionate, but not everything is expensive. The menswear department is just a collection of random concessions, I think the Topman concession doesn’t really fit with the “high end” feel of most of the rest of the store. Has regular, fantastic sales. Feels a little outdated in some areas. Gets very, very, VERY busy! Amazing at Christmas time with the Christmas window and a fantastic Christmas department.

Great quality products! Large store with good variety. Amazing snowman Christmas window display .. a queue down the street just to see it... Except for my mother who just pushed in.

Great range of products. Prices high for me, but my first choice if I want to treat myself.
Christmas window display a MUST-SEE, I revisit my childhood by seeing this each year!

Like this store but sake poor

Great store - Amazing food, designer reductions, restaurants are really good especially in food Hall ground floor. Men's reductions on designer clothes a plus

Love Fenwicks. The food court is the best in the North East and probably the most expensive. If you can get there early enough for a slice of the game pie... Get it!! Great variety of chocolate! From being a child Fenwicks was always like aladdins cave up in the top floor toy section. But now my cave is in the clothing section. Always new brands appearing and items you won't see elsewhere.

Lovely 😍 store .lots of choice .

I went to Fenwick to get my ears pierced and the lady who pierced then was really friendly and everything was done professionally and it was very hygienic. However the earrings I pointed to when I was in the studio room were different to the earrings the lady put in my ears, I didn't notice the colour of them until I got into proper light but still a very good job compared to other piercing shops.

Love the facilities here. The baby feeding rooms are such a lovely touch. Comfy and inviting they are a beautiful place to settle down for a feed and a sneaky cuddle to escape the bustle of town.

Top quality under one roof. The staff is sooo good. Always helpful.

If your looking for designer they've got it all.

Visited as I'd forgotten to put some aftershave on before going on the lash so went for a squirt of the samples. Lady on the Tom Ford concession obviously spotted what I was up to but security less strict on the cheaper brands.

Good for shopping. Fabulous deli. Several places to eat & drink.

Love Fenwicks department store. All your needs under one roof.
Whether it is something fancy to wear for a party or the beauty bar and all the wonderful cosmetics. A wonderful place to get something to eat as well.

I am quite disappointed at the Christmas shop this year, I have to say I prefer it on the second floor. I don't know why but I didn't feel this year had as much selection for decorations. However, I love Fenwicks window. It is a big improvement to the non Christmas window we had last year, I hope that you can continue this Fenwicks

Best shop in the toon ..wait a minute......................
I ..it is just pipping john Lewis..
The food hall is bloody marvellous but quite excostive ...the clothes are fantastic 3
Best shop to go to when raining ....be there or be eldon square 👍

I visited the newcastle department which is the original store, trading since 1882. It spreads in five floors and has a small but quite good collection of most fashion and beauty brands. The food hall is nice but a bit pricy. You can eat salad and Indian food, make your own spices plus a good selection of baked pies.
Many options for deserts and a good selection of local produce.

Seems less organized than the nearby John Lewis, but this might be more attractive for casual browsing as you may be surprised by what's around the next corner. The selection is extensive for this kind of large size store. They may have overdone the eateries however as there are a very large number of sort of mediocre eating places.

Wonderful staff !! Great store, the window animations where lovely too, not as good as past ones , but the kids really loved charlie and the chocolate factory. spent a fortune, but will be back soon !

Fenwicks department store has a lot of wonderful things to suit everyone.... the staff are helpful and you are not pestered when you first arrive and they don't continue to pester you while shopping.... the food hall at Fenwick is unbelievable and I would recommend it, if you only take a look around

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this store! Quality department store with wonderful staff. Whenever we visit Newcastle we always have a visit.

Amazed at the different impressions the reviews give. Is the food hall a mess or wonderful? Are the staff snobby or friendly? Rude or helpful? No one dislikes the christmas window at least!
Some things are overpriced if you're short of cash. They wouldn't claim to rival Primark. You gets what you pays for.
What do they sell? Almonds,bread,calendars, dresses,eggs,flowers,glassware,handbags,irons,jam,K shoes,lamps,mustard,notebooks, oregano,plates,q anyone? radios,slippers, teapots, umbrellas, vases,wool,xtra large,yellow mugs, zips. Andbeginagain,,,action man,baking paper.........

I was in Fuego for lunch yesterday with my son and his partner. The food service and ambience were lovely. Unfortunately a lady on the next table became quite ill. The staff were marvellous and dealt with the situation professionally and sympathetically. Well done Fuego.

Great city centre department store. Excellent selection of top class goods.

Recently had an eyebrow pinch treatment from Naz on the Blink Brow bar, it was amazing, such a relaxing experience, it lifts the eye area, reduces puffiness and leaves you feeling so refreshed.
This treatment is launching on 5th of June but the girls are doing treatments for staff before the launch and I was lucky enough to receive one today, I really enjoyed the treatment and recommended it to everyone

I love the food hall, it's beautiful. I also love that the womenswear department is so easy to navigate: clothing, shoes, handbags all on the same level.

Nice department store, but this time there weren't enough staff to talk to about a large purchase, so we just left after deciding to order what we needed online.
G. M.
Wider spacing of great products and helpful staff continue to make this Newcastle's best upmarket shopping experience.

We ordered a Lego set from Fenwick, Newcastle. It arrived the next day, free delivery. Amazing service - many thanks!

Love fenwicks especially at christmas my son loves the toy department we spend hours in the place when he has a bit of money theres too much choice for him. The window is brilliant too not very festive this year but the kids love it and santa on the roof is a brilliant idea definitely going to book it next year for my little boy.

One of the best and most iconic places in Newcastle with brilliant coffee shops.

I came here at christmas to see the Fenwicks Christmas window and do a bit of Christmas shopping. There's a lot of variety in Fenwicks from clothing, beauty, food, gifts and homeware. You can always find good gift ideas here and it usually things you don't find elsewhere. The prices are a little higher than other shops but we'll worth it for the quality. The food hall here is amazing and you can get some excellent quality food here. The drinks shop is really good as well, there is a lot of variety and good for gifts. There are plenty of places to eat in Fewnwicks too. There is a good childrens section for toys and books and there is a public restroom as well as cash points etc. Would highly recommend.

I love it the atmosphere just everything about this store. I just can't fault it in way. I highly recommend it you can get everything you need.

Fenwick's has always been a great department store and still is. Their food hall is superb. Plenty little lovely eating places.
Well worth a visit.

One of the best places to shop in Newcastle, and the north east.
This department store has everything you need across 4 floors. Designer men's and women's clothes, TV's, house hold appliances, perfume/make up, and a full floor for kids clothes and toys.
2 very nice cafe restaurants that I highly recommend.
If you are in Newcastle you must visit Fenwick.
k. n.
Couldn't resist a coffee and pastry in the food hall. Have to try them all lol

The winter window tableaux display on Northumberland Street in the run up to Christmas is well worth seeing. This is an extensive department store, with a reasonable size food hall. There are many restaurants and cafes to eat in.

Fenwicks is a great shop, the 2nd best in town. They have just about everything you need except staple products, as it is a luxury goods shop and they only sell expensive items. The merchandise is sometimes eye watering and so is the price. If you buy your clothes there you won't come out of the shop with tears of joy. They specialise in luxury gimmicks and style, which you will have to pay through the nose for. There are no good deals in Fenwicks, this shop is purely about making money and they are masters at it. They've been doing it for many years. Their strategy of selling cut price jeans in the 1980s meant they destroyed the competition and then opened up the most expensive mens department shop in the North East with grossly inflated prices. I love the shop, but I'm not such a mug that I buy much there. I can get much of what they sell cheaper elsewhere. However if you're all about snobbery and style and have money to burn then Fenwicks is for you. It's stocked with some exquisite products but you will have to pay top dollar for them.

Clarins beauty bar is a frequent visiting place for me. The staff are really friendly, helpful, approachable and it's conveniently located in the city centre which is good for a facial at lunch or after work!

Wife loved this shop great staff especially the young girl in Mint Velvet very helpful

This store is huge the "Harrods" of Newcastle I was ammazed at the niche fragrance area and purchased an old favourite Houbigant which i thought was only available in London
J. M.
Yummy lunch in the lower ground restaurant followed by a bit mooching round the various floors. Good selection of all kinds of stuff you may want from make up to pans and socks to toys.

ann marie on tom ford exceptional customer service

Fenwicks is fantastic the staff are always helpful. I often use the nursing rooms on the third floor which have made coming into town so much easier when breastfeeding.
J. C. (.
It's got a wide range and helpful staff.
But in trying to buy some small household goods, e. g. a floor light, they didn't have any in stock. A bit pointless going to store and then ordering what could be purchased over Internet
B. M.
Been shopping in here for years it's never changed. Excellent choice of designer clothes and a great range of aftershaves etc.

Every thing you expect from a quality dept store

Fenwick is one of the first original department stores in Newcastle. It is a legendary department store offering a huge contemporary shopping experience. Enormous make-up and beauty areas, high class quality clothingware, top notch food court and numerous cafe and restaurants in store, electricals, furniture, etc. The toy department is also great on the top floor. Fenwick Christmas window is also a mandatory visit before Christmas. Fenwick is a large heart of the retail core in Newcastle Centre of which no out-of-town centre has this experience.
