High end audio visual retailer based in Cumbria with outlets in Carlisle, Workington and Newcastle-upon-Tyne plus online store. Primarily dealing in the more expensive end of the market with brands such as Bang & Olufsen, Sonos, Lintone Audio and Pro-Ject much in evidence. Very well appointed showroom and listening rooms with top end AV setup and facilities. If you want to spend £100k on a sound and vision system this retailer will assist! Friendly staff with good knowledge trying to encourage me to spend on hi-fi. Less equipment in store than online but plenty to look at. A nice change from the megastores but not the place for a bargain transistor radio.

Exceptional service from me making an enquiry to receiving the goods. I was offered the best technical support, as i wasnt sure which record player, AMP and speakers to get. The products i was offered, came in less than my budget i give them which shows their honesty. Cant fault them on any level. Richer Sounds are decent, these guys are far superior!!!

Would rate 10 stars if I could. I emailed them on Sunday asking about a product that wasn't discounted for black Friday on their website. They responded immediately, sorted out a bespoke deal for me with a generous discount, addressed all my concerns and questions almost immediately and my new hifi set arrived today (Thursday) in perfect condition. I quite literally could not ask for better service, will definitely use again. Keep up the great work guys.

I bought my wife a teac bluetooth turntable for christmas from peter tyson in kingston park, newcastle. The staff are fantastic - very approachable, helpful, knowledgeable and patient. I had several questions to ask, and the staff explained everything to me in detail. The quality of the turntable is brilliant and great value for just £149. It was straightforward to link it up to our bluetooth speaker and my wife is delighted. 10 out of 10 all round.

Fantastic service from a great online and instore company. I have never had a problem with them, they use DPD to deliver av products straight to your door and with DPD you get an hour time slot and for the next day usually and you can track your goods and change delivery at the touch of a button. DPD are a great company in themselves and so are Peter Tyson. Great stuff.

Planned on buying a set of Bose headphones at Dubai duty free until I saw them cheaper at Peter Tyson just down the road from Newcastle airport. Popped in on out way to the airport and bought them. Would definitely recommend.

Credit where it's due, after a stock blip meant my Saturday delivery of a Pioneer Network Audio System was delayed, followed quickly by the pain of spotting a better price on another suppliers website I picked up the phone to discuss the issue, great follow up by Steve and a couple of calls back from him got me an eta and a better price than I'd seen elsewhere. Item I purchased £20 cheaper than currys who like to advertise that they price match, they don't, opened up 10 minutes early which was a great help as I needed to get to work, 1st class service highly recommend
