I have been a customer of RS for over 30 years. The service is amazing. On May 11th I purchased a 32 inch TV for £199. I then saw that it had been reduced by £30. It was in the 14 days that RS pay the difference back to you.
I rang the Norwich store and spoke to Roger who was so helpful. He said that he would make enquiries and get back to me. Literally within 5 minutes £30 had been credited back to me. I would never shop elsewhere.

Thank god for Roger!!! Not only did he help me redeem Santa’s mistake by not getting an amp for my daughters new record player but he saved me £200 by stopping buying the most expensive amp, built the requisite banana clips to hook up the set up but he also took a call later and talked me through the set up after I’d ballsed that up! Bought loads from RIcher Sounds having been let down by Hughes. Anything from replacement 3d glasses to full AV setups. Very knowledgeable and very helpful. Only peeve is grossly underestimated delivery times for latest amp / receiver which I guess is down to what the manufacturer tells them but it did take several chase emails to get a reply.

Phoned the store last Saturday looking to try out Grado GW100. None in stock unfortunately but Peter to whom I was speaking, himself a fan/user of Grado wares gave his informed insight in the particular product I was sourcing and said I wouldn't be disappointed with the product and that I could get them ordered from the warehouse and delivered to home address. They arrived today and he was spot on, fantastic headphones.

I had previously bought a little Yamaha amp from there a couple of years ago, and I was equally impressed when I went in this time. My recent purchase from Richer Sounds Norwich was very good indeed. Simon, the sales assistant, was very helpful and informative. I have had my headphones for about a month now and I love them! Often a tech bargain to be had here. The guys are helpful. If you are prepared to go for last year's model instead of cutting edge you will find a deal. The store internals are a lite tired but it is fine for the stack them high sell them cheap. Look out for the Richer Sounds warranty which in my opinion is excellent value for money unlike almost all other warranties in tech equipment.

I spent an enjoyable afternoon picking my first set of separates with Peter's expert help. The wider team all passed on friendly advice and helped quickly set up various combinations of amp and speaker, and this was despite it being the run up to Christmas. Our home cinema installation was okay, though the TV freezes from time to time. The vehicle sound installation wasn't fit for purpose though. The audio comes on at a low volume and the DVD player doesn't remember where it was when it restarts. So the system is functional but cumbersome.

However, I needed (wanted) a new TV, and with the vast amount of new technologies, I knew it was a decision I was only going to be able to make by trying before buying.
Across three days I spent several hours in store with a fantastically knowledgeable, and extremely helpful Richer Sounds employee by the name of Peter White.
We went back and forth on needs and wants, prices and possibilities; and every step of the way Peter was exceptionally helpful, and did everything in his power to make me feel comfortable with the purchase I was intending to make.
Quite possibly the best customer service I've ever experienced, and has very much secured me as a long-term customer of Richer Sounds, along with making me very comfortable in recommending them to everyone who'll listen.

Peter and the team reminded me why Richer Sounds has not only survived but thrived in the world of the web while so many other retailers have gone to the wall. Even John Lewis customer service and demo facilities are not what they were. Peter arranged the equipment in the demo room on a very hot day, talked knowledgeably and enthusiastically about products and left me alone to listen to the Denon system in which I was interested. I bought it for a very good price. Even after making the sale, he and his manager were friendly and interested in the customer. I'm pleased to have been a Richer Sounds customer for about thirty years. This is a great location too: city centre but with 30 minute loading bays directly outside. I returned later in the day to collect. No wonder the store was packed when I visited.

Visited richer sounds in Norwich today and a VERY helpful guy called Peter showed me the ropes. He knew his stuff and didn't pressure me into buying anything other than what I came for.
Through his knowledge, loyalty and salesmanship richer sounds just gained another life time customer. So fewer places nowadays actually employ people with knowledge rather than pure salesman.
The tech demo room is also very impressive, Dolby atmos was unreal!

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, only went in to ask a question about surround sound speakers and was rewarded with the fact I didn't have to refinance all my speakers just add the missing ones. If you are buying anything electrical especially TV or audio Richer sounds is the place to go. The customer service is the best and they really look after their customers and go above and beyond. I purchased a turntable from Richer Sounds before Christmas, but then discovered I needed an amp, which I bought online through Amazon. However I had problems setting up my hi fi. I contacted Richer Sounds for advice and spoke to Simon. He was incredibly helpful, despite the fact that the amp had not even come from Richer Sounds, and invited me to come to the shop outside of normal hours, with my gear, and test it out to find where the fault lay. It proved to be with the speakers, and so I have kept my mail order amp, and bought a new pair of speakers from RS. Wonderful service - I even had my car park ticket refunded! - friendly and expert. Brilliant store, brilliant staff and great equipment for almost ever budget. Been to Richer stores alot and Norwich is just as good as others, seems the business has it's priorities right and it's not a hit and miss experience.
Demo room in Norwich is very useful and staff will explain, answer questions and help you to make your choices, not force you their way. Very friendly and helpful, if you need A/V, make sure to check here.
Parking in St Giles is handy, especially with loading bay out front for when you've got carried away and bought more than you went for!

Outstanding service from Pete White at the Norwich store from beginning to end. He demonstrated a bespoke Home Cinema set up initially. He then came to my home FOC to look at what was possible. He made recommendations based on my budget. Once I'd accepted his recommendation, he made all of the arrangements on my behalf with the installer. What I still can't believe is that he came to my house on his day off to help out with the installation to keep the costs down. That is above and beyond anything I could have expected. If you're after a set of headphones or a DAC for your mobile or home system, then you can't do worse than to spend a few hours in peace upstairs in Richer Sounds Norwich to review for yourself.
I came away spending twice as much as I intended but I'm really happy with my Shure headphones at the end of the day.
They are happy to let you review what you want and only pop up to check you are OK every now and then. And they priced matched so I saved quite a bit too.

I don't think you can fault the service provided at Richer Sounds. I was interested in the Chord Mojo but only had an hour or so spare on Sunday afternoon and had worked overnight beforehand. My partner rang on my behalf in the morning while I slept and staff charged a unit ready for me to visit in the afternoon. Peter knew exactly what he was talking about, was friendly and helpful without being pushy and left me to try the device with my own music and headphones. He was able to answer any question I had and made the whole experience interesting and enjoyable. The 6 year guarantee seemed a no-brainer too since I can get the money refunded if I don't claim.
Too many hifi shops have an awkward, elitist feel to them but there's none of that here, just friendly, knowledgable staff who obviously have a real passion for what they do.

I am a long term (10 years) customer of Richer Sounds in Norwich because they offer excellent value for money, advice and support. Throughout this time the staff have listened to what I wanted to acheive with each upgrade of hifi/AV against a budget and have then made careful recommendations, all of which I've followed. Each time I've been amazed by the quality of products (sound, visual outputs and finish) once set up in the home. I can't praise the staff enough for their enthusiastic guidance. On the most recent occaision (Jan 17) I upgraded to a Dolby Atmos system by adding an Onkyo656 AV receiver, Onkyo upward speakers and a Panasonic TX50DX700 TV to my existing, quality speaker set up. The end result is simply fantastic. Great credit goes to Peter who ensured that I got not only amazing surround sound but also terrific HiFi quality from my CD player. I had the pleasure today (21/05/2016) of going to the Norwich Branch of Richersounds.
The store was very busy at the time I arrived and I was greeted by the manager who let me know that I will be seen in a short time. I took a seat and waited.
Simon introduced himself and we started to discuss my requirements. Simon listened intently and took onboard all that I had to say. Anyone that knows me, I have a lot to say when it comes to techy things.
Simon explored other options with me that I had not considered as well as letting me know the latest developments in Audio/Visual.
There were a couple of occasions where the customer demand outstipped the customer representatives by a wide margin. Simon and I worked like an well oiled team and whilst he introduced a new option to me to consider, was able to deal with other customers to ensure that they too were getting a great time at RicherSounds.
At no point did Simon forget that he was first and foremost dealing my enquiries. He got to the nub of the other customers problems very quickly and where he was not able to deal with the issue quickly, he was able to have a warm handover to another representative. I can tell you that it was a pleasure to watch a consummate professional in action.
I asked some very specific questions about the kit I was about to purchase, and to Simon's credit, he let me know that he did not know the answer to the questions. This did not stop Simon, he simply went up to the 3rd floor, got the item down and unpacked to to see if we could answer the question. This was another opp for Simon to impart his huge knowledge on the subject and I learned some more ;)
I pride myself in knowing quite a bit about tech and Simon was able to point out some new options and even upsell to me - this is almost unheard of for me.
Needless to say that a sale was made, and I could not be happier with both the purchase and the fantastic support I received.

Over the years, I have visited Richer Sounds in Norwich on many occasions, be it when they were located in Ber Street or Pitt Street, but today was my first foray to their current (and much more accessible) location of St Giles Street. Almost all of my home cinema and hi-fi gear has been bought through them because they are, quite simply, the best value but also because the customer service is superb.
I have never been given a hard sell, I've never been hard sold accessories, credit or warranty and yet, I almost always buy the SuperCare because it is such a great deal.
So today I ventured in to look at a new Blu Ray player and Stacy, the manager, asked if he could help, after which he pretty much answered every question I had, spent time with me understanding my needs and at no point did he do that thing where hi-fi retail staff often try to "show off" or point out where you have things wrong. I worked for one of the UK's largest electrical retailers and know this to be a common trend. Stacy was really helpful, hugely informative and when I said I was leaving to have a think about what he proposed (I'd now decided to by an AV Receiver too), he didn't do that thing of trying to close the sale before I left, which I hate!
Upon my return, Stacy was busy elsewhere but I was approached by Johnny who soon picked up the baton and carried on the great level of service. We had a bit more of a discussion and I decided to buy the two items. I always ask to see if something can be done on price, even though I'm always certain I can't get things cheaper than I do at Richer Sounds, and Johnny dealt with that request very well, especially as he couldn't do anything.
I left the store and returned to collect my items an hour later. Numerous offers of help to carry the items to my car were made and I politely declined, but appreciated the offers.
Yes again, the guys at Richer Sounds Norwich prove that their legendary prices are matched only by their legendary customer service. I will be back soon, I guarantee it ;-)

I wanted to upgrade my cinema surround sound system, but found much of the information on the internet confusing. All became clear when I telephoned Richer Sounds in Norwich. The Manager STACY was extremely helpful, in particular giving me guidance on the range of products that would be suitable for my speakers (which I do not want to change). When I came into the Richer Sounds shop in Norwich, Stacy handed me over to PETER WHITE who listened carefully to what I wanted and gave me a very impressive demonstration. Peter was clear and informative throughout my time at the shop and I ended up purchasing an LG OLED tv, Pioneer SCLX701, Panasonic DMPUB9000 and Onkyo SKH410 speakers. I can’t recommend the Norwich branch of Richer Sounds enough!!! I’ve been into hifi for many years now, and gone through LOTS of equipment changes, but they always come up with the very best deals and solutions.
Just lately my system needed to change again, (from the ground up this time) sure enough Stacy, Roger, Daniel, Tony and indeed ALL of the guys in the Norwich store did their very best to get me the exact products I needed to hear. Nothing was too much trouble, and they were really helpful in setting up demo’s when I needed them too!!
There are never any heavy boxes to shift around or have to carry away as the guys l willingly them carry-out to your car –or have them delivered free you your house!!
I’d say without hesitation, if you are looking for a new Hifi, TV or anything of the sort, go and see these guys – your ears and eyes deserve it!!
(**PS. And while you’re there check out the Cambridge Audio Azur 851 range of separates……you’ll be glad you did – they’re VERY special)
