Very big store. My 5 year old daughter and I were looking at the directory to find something. A girl approached us to offer us help in finding what we were looking for and directed us to the section in the store immediately. Very helpful. Though, if I did a more thorough look over of the immediate area, I would have spotted the section as well. There is a decent selection of toys. My daughter was having fun looking at all the toys that were in stock and comparing them to the toys we already have. I ended up buying what I was looking for. Overall, a good store.

Staff are very professional and could give us a knowledgeable advise. We went looking for a fridge and made some measurements. Their staff are really helpful. John Lewis could also provide a extra warranty 2 years for all their home appliances. Excellent 👍

This is an Excellent shop. Where would Nottingham be without it. Very happy with a beautiful blind that was made for me, and delivered, in only 1 week. Just perfect. The store is lovely and we spent lots during our visit. Unfortunately the cafe didn't offer any proper meals without gluten for a coeliac. The staff member present told us he wasn't senior enough to inform us which food didn't contain gluten and the menu only showed vegan dietary needs. In the end we had to go elsewhere.

Amazing service. I had a voucher for a free soup and bread but they didn't have a vegan option. However the lady that dealt with me went over-and-above to find a substitute for me. Very much appreciated.

Lucy, the personal shopper/stylist is very friendly and professional. She selected perfect iems of clothing for my friend to try and nothing was too much trouble. I popped in for free tea and cake. I used my John Lewis voucher. Nice of them to send me regular offers. Unfortunately the Red velvet cake itself was quite dry. The pot of tea was nice. Also seemed to be a shortage of cutlery and types of sugar. The service seemed slow.

John Lewis is a great store that will price match items they sell with other retailers, but you may need to price match what you are purchasing, as they don't always do it! A large range of televisions and other audio visual items. Computers, printers, tablets, mobile phones and accessories . Men's, women's and children's clothing. Toys, games, kitchen accessories and white good appliances (Fridges, freezers, washing machines etc). Beds and bedding, the list is endless. They also have both a coffee bar and a cafe that serves drinks and meals.

Used to come here for absolute years!! All through the 80s even when it was called jessops!! 😮...and even when it was changed to John Lewis been coming here for years after! Bloody marvellous shop!! It's not actually called bargain booze anymore now but you still can get bargain booze in here. This little family run shop is tucked away off the Trinity Square end. I usually pop in to get a bargain £1.00p coffee here as well along with other bits&bobs. As we all know only too well, sadly they're not that many little family run shops around these days smack bang in the middle of this city centre. The staff always serve you with a smile 😁 Worthy of my *****5!! It is worth getting into a habit of using this little gem when in town ❤️😃

Disappointed with the service, staff were all over the place, took ages to get served, once I did get served after I having to move over to till section before customers could select any dessert, as the queue was so big. I was using my crutches, but no help was offered to help me to my table. Not the usual great John Lewis service I’m used to. Won’t be going to that particular cafe again. Coffee wasn’t too hot but, the cake was yummy.

Having not been in here for a while I was impressed to see there had been some makeovers in certain areas recently when I visited this morning. Despite all the upheaval in the high street these past few years, John Lewis remains the store to beat.

Always a pleasure going into our lovely JL but the service I had in the fabric department when buying some roman blinds was exceptional. The team helped me browse the huge range of fabrics with a cushion from the home department for colour matching, and the lady with the excellent fringe and glasses was so helpful and knowledgable, it was like shopping with a good friend. I felt totally confident placing my order through her though I had been very nervous shopping online for such big items. John Lewis in Nottingham is a fantastic luxury-premium shopping centre inside of the Intu Victoria centre. There is a superb selection of products in different environments; from kitchen utilities to hi tech stuff. The John Lewis staff is absolutely kind and qualified!! Very disappointed with the restaurant. Sunday lunch time, 12.30 no sandwiches made, no attempt to make any. Most counters closed, no real choice available. This used to be one of john Lewis best not any more. Left and went to Costa. No wonder John Lewis are struggling.

I've always thought of John Lewis as a mixed bag. Some of the prices are so unreasonably high it's ridiculous. On the other hand some stuff is really good. Electronic goods spring to mind. They price match (or certainly used to), and also offer an often free delivery, so it can work out better here than other places. Their customer service has always been excellent, as has any returns issues! Other than that, it's a very large multi floor store, that sells almost everything.

I am a regular customer here and I came in to ask for a sample of perfume that I had tried. The assistant didn’t have the specific one, but gave me two other samples from the range and she was very friendly. I then went to buy a fitted sheet and pillowcases and I was asked if I needed help. I ended up buying a more expensive item than I had selected due to the knowledge and friendliness of the assistant. Finally, I went to the restaurant to have my free tea and cake using my loyalty voucher. The lady on the till was friendly, smiling and helpful. Bought my 3rd small rug, good value, item not in stock, however delivery was free. Had to wait a few days more than anticipated - I would prefer items to be in stock (previous 2 identical rugs were in stock last year). A bit of an anachronism in regards retail these days. A place that still offers good quality products and s range of items in s multi level store. Prices are reasonable and the sale deals always worth taking a look at. Staff are very well informed on the stock and store location, with everyone well dressed and presented. Good disabled access for most and staff are always about and offer assistance without being too intrusive. The range of stock covers the whole of the shopping gambit and always very good quality.

My daughter arranged an appointment for me with a personal shopper - something I have never experienced before. Brigitte was delightful and very helpful. Thanks to her, and her colleague, I have a smart new outfit for a special occasion. If you are looking for quality items, with good brands, expert advice and longer than usual warranty for electrical items, this is a good shop Although the staff can be busy at the beginning of clearance. The make up and kitchenware is top notch. Toilets are available to the public and they now have a loyalty program.

I no longer live in Nottingham.but visit when I go back and I shop on line too. The shop is still lovely and pleasant staff. However the cafe... Oh dear John Lewis. I don't think queuing to have an egg sandwich in a cardboard container put on front of you at £4.50 is OK. I changed my order to a toastie at £4.90. A small toastie with a few bits of dried out salad leaves appeared and the bread couldn't be cut. I am so disappointed in this store today.

After an awful experience with there outsourced online customer service department. Finally getting a call from Stephen a case manager and the customer service from Andrew and the guys in the TV and Technical department in the Nottingham store was fantastic. This in-store experience is what you should be replicating online, it's killing your reputation when the store experience is so very different. Its makes a massive difference to the shopping experience and I would hesitate to come back into store to purchase in future.

As you will see in many other reviews, there's plenty of stuff, helpful and friendly staff; with which I agree. However, I found that the toy department was very poorly stocked, and the staff did not seem to know anything: it's as if they'd prefer you to shop online.

A very well set out store, the same as all the others really. There are both inside and outside entrances with a range of designer gear available. As expected though it is very expensive and if you are sensible you will buy an equivalent item for the same money online. There are however certain things, such as clothes that are more difficult to find online and this store has a very good range. If you are XL or larger though you may struggle as they don't carry much in stock in those sizes.

It's a great place. You can get almost everything you need under one roof which is very convenient. There's a help desk and customer services should you have any issues. It's got escalators and elevators and its own parking lot. Personally prefer it to Debenhams. If you're the type of person that likes to get everything in one place, go to John Lewis.

This review relates to the online purchase of electrical goods and aftercare - not the store. I bought an ASUS tablet online from John Lewis almost 2 years ago and it suddenly stopped charging. I checked the manufacturer warranty which was only a year and thought I'd just check the John Lewis warranty just in case. 2 years! So I phoned them up and they asked me to take it to my local store. This isn't convenient for me because I have two young boys and it's a 16 mile round trip so I posted it instead. They've refunded me the postage and the store have already looked at it (a couple of days later). It should be on its way back to me soon. Every person I have come into contact with has been absolutely fantastic. Polite, helpful and friendly. And my tablet isn't even that new! What this experience has convinced me of is that the aftercare service with John Lewis is worth paying a few extra pounds for and I will DEFINITELY be buying future electrical goods from them. Thank you!

John Lewis sell quality goods and will even price match. The staff in general are very helpful and polite and cannot do enough to help your shopping experience. This is the exception of one member of staff in the ladies department who had been very rude to me so I avoid her at all costs.

A good medium sized department store spread over 4 floors. John Lewis is a very reputable brand selling virtually everything from kitchen utensils to clothes and gifts. Sale items are often very reasonably priced and end of line furniture can be a steal.

John Lewis, some of the best for experience, just like their stores Waitrose! Staff are always fantastic ready to help, and there are plenty of them around, even when it's busy. Only thing I could possibly complain about is the price of some things, and the amount of escalators that are broken, but there is a lot of footfall in there!

I love John Lewis. It's a great browsing department store full of modern, contemporary well designed stuff for the house, clothing, toys, you name it! Great wallpaper selections, and an extensive rug selection. Go and marvel at the huge tellies on the top floor, or go for an expensive cake and tea in the restaurant and get a window view looking out onto the council house. Very atmospheric at Christmas time, but shopaholics beware: it's scarily easy to spend too much in there!

in need of a pickme up I visited the coffee lounge on the third floor and was treated to a great cup of coffee and scone. Its becoming more and more difficult to get a decent cup of coffee and this is one of the last places that hasn't had a coffee "blended especially for them" ( read a cheap coffee blend which requires sppoons of sugar to take away the bitter taste). The coffee and scones were lovely, they only need to clear the tables quicker but this seems to depend on who it is clearing the tables.

He is amazing. So patient, clear in his explanations, and very willing to share knowledge. Gianni also understood the needs of an older woman who isn't used to the digital world. Gianni is exactly the right person to have in this department. I will certainly come back to John Lewis and find Gianni when I've saved up the rest of my money to buy a new MacBook Air laptop. Gianni even went through all the types of Apple laptops and iPads etc and helped me discover which of the models would meet my requirements. Superb customer service. Such a shame! Love John Lewis and mainly shop online as the store is very dated to say it's within the modern intu centre. Lifts are prehistoric and make for a stressful time when shopping with a buggy. Many shoppers tend to use the lifts rather than escalators which increases time left waiting. I personally wouldn't dream of using the lift if I didn't need to.

Usually I love JL but on my visit the restaurant was very poorly stocked and they had no chips so it was fish and mashed potato, which is not what I wanted. This meant that I left to find some lunch elsewhere and did not return!
