Visited the café today. Really enjoyed my experience. This café is so clean and spacious. The tables are spread out so you do not feel on top of each other, which is great during these times. The staff are polite and friendly. Had a delicious panini and a latte. Nicole and Phil were very professional. Had a walk around the shop after and found some bargains. Trespass coats down to 70% off. Oasis reduction too. Again it wasn't crowded so you could feel relaxed and enjoy your retail therapy 😀.

Quite a diverse range of departments but needs more product and quantity. Not enough stock to be inspirational. The reduced prices seem fair and good value. The staff are friendly, polite and seem keen to help. Easy parking and good cafe. Definitely worth a visit.

There was a great variety of products and the staff were very helpful. The toy dept was very good, in the doll section there was more to choose from than John Lewis. It wasn't at all busy, probably due in part to the dreadful weather.

We love popping up for lunch to your 1st floor restaurant as the food is really nice. However your service is so slow, the staff aren't the quickest which can be frustrating if you only have an hour. Organisation is definitely needed and if they could understand that customers don't have all the time in world to queue and eat. The lady on the till may suit a different role as its painful to watch. I will keep coming in the hope service speeds up.

Great range of products, lovely cafe. There isn't a very big car park. No mobility entrance from the car park. Access through the main road and cafe. Disabled toilets on ground floor as well. Restaurant upstairs accessible by lift and escalators.

Housed in a beautiful Victorian building here in Peterborough town centre another one lost to the multinationals. So disheartened to see what was a once standalone department store go into liquidation. Their are certainly bargains to be had, but not what I was looking for sadly. Good luck to the remaining staff when you are finally let go you have served Peterborough well over the years.

Visiting this last bastion of retail outlets it's a shame to think this shop may no longer be open the next time I visit peterborough following recent tabloid news regarding possible closure. Of all the shops Beales has a fantastic range of products from electrical, fashion, housewares, toys, beds and bedding in fact you name it they have probably sold it. And all the staff are so helpful and friendly, may be this is a generation thing and something we are unlikely to see again once gone. With continual offers and sales the prices are great to and unfortunately once this place is gone it will not be back when we decide how good it really was and how little choice we now have with no local shops offering a fraction of the department store product range. I can honestly say everytime I visit Peterborough shopping I will always visit Beale's and find something I need, new pillows, branded bag for my daughter, toys for family and friends (large walk on and play Piano) it's all there. Fantastic shop if you have not been there yet make a visit as before long it may be to late.

The place is good if u have time in hand. Few of the articles are very costly. In Sale too the articles are not always justified with their half price. However the stuffs are very helpful and nice and specially the Elder people.

Love this department store and always make the effort to have a look round when in Peterborough. Great selection of clothes for young and old with designs you can't get anywhere else and plenty of good deals on offer. Store has a toy shop/restaurant/footwear/kitchen items/gifts/perfume/BHS/Dorothy Perkins/Apricot. Highly recommend.

Not all the shop is accessible to those in mobility scooters, e.g. the lift is tiny so you have to turn the wheels to one side to close the door and the Opticians is down some steps with no ramp alternative. Though have to say aisles are wide enough. Fair range of clothing if a little old fashioned. Good toy section. Good for shoes and handbags.

Staff very helpful, nice clothes. Only downside was the cafe the cappuccino and tea was undrinkable. The cafe was inundated with flies even on the cakes, would never use the cafe again.

They are advertising a new healed but all they have done is move things around and enlarged the mens dept. However they have a wide range of items and regular sales. always good for a bargain. It's like a miniature Debenhams sort of. Look what happened to that company.

Beales Department Store ( still known as the Co-op or Westgate House to the older among us) is a very large store. It has just about everything including clothing, suitcases, jewellery, bedding, electrical goods - well, everthing. It's one of my lovely wife's favourite stores and she can spend a morning just browsing easily. Thankfully, it also has a nice cafe where I can escape to and - if I want to escape further - it has a travel agent right next to the cafe! It's not the cheapest store in town but you pay for quality and you'll find that here. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Certainly worth a visit if you're in Peterborough.

Have to say our visit to Beales Peterborough was great. First,y I made a phone call to check on a clock i’d seen at the Skegness branch. The lady (Annie) was so helpful even took a picture and sent it to confirm it was the one I’d seen. She offered to save it and we collected it on the following day. It’s a long time since i’ve found a sales assistant so accommodating. We browsed the store, had coffee and purchased a couple of items more. Each time we were met with polite, very helpful staff....most impressed. Will certainly visit again. Thank you.

Sales on so quite a few reduction. Plus some of the names are discontinuing so even bigger reductions. Other well known name brands are coming in. Some of the BHS brands are moving in. A much nicer store than Westgate house, the travel section in Westgate House had rude staff that spread nasty incorrect rumors.... Whom didn't have the guts to address those nasty rumours (I wonder how they would like their character under minded & devastated!!) There was some very unprofessionalism..... Beales is a much nicer store with a more appropriate travel department (coop).....

Perhaps in need of a little refurbishment but it seemed to have an interesting range of products and clothing brands I haven't come across in the usual Debenhams/John Lewis type stores.
