Reviews of The Range, Plymstock
t. d.
I have known CDS "The Range" for the last 40 years and have seen the transformation from a store that no one respected to a wonderful store that has expanded nationwide, and I can only assume to soon be worldwide.
A. G.
My favourite The Range I've been to. Always got loads to buy, and the Iceland there is always well stocked. Way cheaper than Morrisons up the road to be honest. I tend to do my weekly shop here.
J. R.
So.w good deals on offer but only a bargain if you need it.
The store in Plymstock has become a bit intolerable over the last few years. Price tickets missing, lighting especially bad as identifying lighting to any tickets is impossible. Insufficient staffing must be adding to the problems. My partner commented today that the original store was like a jumble sale hall, then rose to higher levels, it appears now to be going backwards in tidiness and unorganised mayhem.
C. M.
So so hot. No air in the shop. Great place except for that. Wave of heat hits you as you enter. Beautiful home furnishings, fantastic craft section and a food hall. Everything under one roof, even a cafe. Go on a colder day.
T. A.
It's a weird 1 to get too. Not all under 1 roof. Plenty of space for wheelchair users etc. Not sure I'd make another special trip. May pop in again if ever I was passing.
K.
Bit hard to find stuff, lots of missing price tags shame really because you see something nice and i’m not the kind to go ask how much it is, i’d rather just leave it. (Could get more sales if all items had prices) overall very clean store though
S.
Very nice large shop with lot of things that you might need for your home and garden. Easy to access with lot of parking spaces at the back of the building.
G. B.
Good, typical range store just was really sad to see that in very early October when I visited, the Christmas stuff got half the store and the Halloween stuff was shoved in the tiniest uncared-for corner - used to love the range for Halloween decor!
V. A.
Popped in to look for a couple of items, then had a coffee. All good.
Only negative thing was that there were Christmas carols playing, not what I wanted to hear.
S. C.
Great variety of products at decent prices. Home, garden, car, pets, arts & crafts, food... and a cafe upstairs. Worth a visit.
D. G.
Nice and clean just didn't give it 5 stars because staff need to cheer up a little more
G. B.
Hello everyone well the range has some good bargains. I got me dog food down there I was cheap compared to the pet shop.and they got lots of dog toys to keep him happy a nice place to browse
L. H.
Popped in to purchase a few things, great variety and decent prices
J. H.
Everything you need and didn't even know you needed in one place and a lovely reasonably priced coffee shop
S. F. (.
Staff very helpful didn't have what you want but they had loads of stuff it will complement any DIY person
D. W.
Superb shop..all the venues in the 'Range' are pleasant helpful.
Well done Dawson 👍
L. H.
Seem to buy alot of furniture from this place. Fairly priced and most good quality
M. W.
Bought a suite on Sunday at 11am. Served by a lovely gentleman :) so welcoming and helpful. It was delivered on Saturday 😀 less than a week!! What service 👏 👏 very pleased with quality and price. Thankyou The Range/CDS ♡♡ will be back for a coffee table soon 😃 xx
Z. S. K.
Lovely shop. We found what we were looking for. Staff are friendly and helpful.
b. v.
Great all round store for nearly all you need in one place.
I. R.
Friendly, helpful staff. Good range of DIY. electrical. Homeward and includes an Iceland in store.goodvfor arts and crafts too.
S. U.
Quiet at 5.30pm to 6pm. Some clearance lines. I like it for its arts and crafts, kitchen and garden departments which particularly offer a lot of choice. But then the others all do too. Not much of an alcoholic range, fresh veg or fridge foods though but great choice of frozen meals.
J.
A wide selection of goods from toiletries, through to DIY, gardening, sports, home decor goods, arts & crafts, toys, a mini Trago Mills, including an Iceland food section, great prices, great for last minute gifts and presents, also has a cafe, and furniture/ rugs dept
K. T.
Pretty much always find what you are after here. This store has so much to offer and even has a cafe and an icelands within
W. S.
GOOD PLACE TO VISIT. LARGE STORE. GOOD HALLOWEEN CLOTHES. GOOD RANGE OF GIFTS. XXXXXX ❤️
J. Z.
Very large store with best Halloween & Christmas displays I've ever seen in a shop
S. r. Y.
Who don't like the range everything under one roof and the staff are lively and helpful especially Steve who's worked there forever, but air con don't work unbearable for customers and staff come on chris get it sorted
S. M.
Disappointed in the garden section. Very small but as the other stores plants are watered, storeclean and tidy and again staff are helpful
J. K.
Like everything else, the prices aren't as competitive as they were. Gradually moving to higher end goods, away from the old CDS it was.
m. t.
Overall is was good. But the some of the stock was all over the place with no price labels. Staff that we spoke to were pleasent and prices were fairly reasonable.
C. R.
Good shop. Lots of Halloween and Christmas stuff on sale
M. P.
Had what I needed and lots of other sparkly Christmas things.
Lots of home objects and is handy for picking up snacks from Iceland if that's your bag.
K. H.
I love looking at everything. From wallpaper, pictures, soft furnishings, garden furniture to hobbies and crafts. Delicious scones, jam and cream and hot coffee in the little cafe.
c. j.
The store has a café and customer toilets upstairs. All stock areas have designated signage above making it easy to find what you're looking for. Iceland food is instore. The aisles were free of pallets so it was easy to access all areas, the store was clean and well lit . Christmas decorations were still hung with price reductions in place. Car park at back of building which comes out near St Lukes hospice shop.
D. T.
Love this store, it literally has everything you could thing of and great value for money.
The staff are fantastic and do as much as they can to help. Very attentive, keep up the great standards..the store is always clean and organised and is fantastic to have icelands with it as can do everything under one roof.
J. B.
Hi they have Wi-Fi and wc
c. c.
Only popped in for a couple of things. Everything was OK, staff friendly.
D. P.
Good shop. Has most things you need
A. T.
Great value store with everything under one roof from restaurant food to eat in , Iceland frozen food and everything you could even need for the home and garden. Oh and something for the pets too.
W. E.
Friendly staff and very helpful.
It a store which has a bit of everything the only thing that i would say and this was my mistake i look on line to see if something was in stock but unfortunately stock online is not what held in store.
I would recommend this store.
D. K.
Excellent dropped in on way home for fixings . Had a latte upstairs in cafe. Best one ever . Large carpark . Easy access and exit . Friendly staff. Well done Chris Dawson.
S. W.
Odered a dressing table , gave a date that suited us, but wanted to deliver earlier, very quick delivery, had to put it off because we were away at the weekend , but impressed , hopefully get it on Friday now
D. M.
Items a have bought have been of good quality.
R. P.
Holds everything you need. As the owner lives only down the road, this store is always on top of things. New stuff always in and the staff are amazing.
Toilets and cafe of site. Plenty of parking and about 8 large parents and baby bays.
J. C.
Both members of staff who served us were extremely helpful.
A. F.
Great for most products DIY section seems to be getting better, if you just need a cheaper selection than main brands. Only negative was covid system was really good made me feel safe. Right up to the end when they had 2 checkouts open which forced me and another customer to stand almost on top of each offer. When there was plenty more tills that could have been open to help to avoid a pinch point
J. H.
Cafe food is very bread-y , Toilets are always clean . Their hay bales they sell are better than pets at home , by a mile. Very good petfood selection and handy having Iceland there too.
J.
free parking, cheap bargains to be had. Lots of range of items from electrical to artistic items. Car service, big range of pet supply's, Iceland now in all stores for the food needs and lovely Xmas stock for yr home decor.
M. S.
Good range of products, garden, pet,DIY etc
Plus toys and a large Xmas selection, helpful staff, also has Iceland shop in there.
A. G.
Excellent range of products displayed in an appealing shop set out.
Very helpful staff too.
J. R.
Too much choice and prices seem to be higher although bargains can be found, lovely friendly staff
J. B.
Loads of parking, have everything in store too.
S. P.
Very helpful I will always go there
V. B.
Great shop for many things, paint, toys, plants, electrics. I went for solar fairy lights.
S.
This is where the empire started. The original range.
The company has come on since its early days.
Gone is the discount store cheap tat, nowadays the shop sells pretty much everything you need.
Prices are generally good.
Parking is available at the back and the shop has wheelchair access. Although I could imagine wheelchair users may struggle inside as some of the aisle are small.
Staff are average in their friendliness and could do with a bit more training in customer service.
All in all, a good shop.
A.
Great store lot's of household items. Lacks staff.
E. B.
great range of items but wayyy too warm in the building, layout can be quite confusing at points too
D. M.
Plenty of parking with easy entrance but outward exit is onto a dual carriageway. Staff can seem to not notice you and are at times reluctant to achieve eye contact. Store is clean with plenty of items at a satisfactory level of value.
D. M.
I called the store yesterday morning to confirm an item was in stock before coming in after work to collect, the staff were very helpful in confirming this for me and having the item ready. I arrived to collect the item which was very heavy, Connor was extremely helpful in assisting me in getting the item to fit in the car! Special thanks to him for his hard work.
M. O.
Large range of goods for sale, well laid out and easy accessible Isles. Nice size cafe with a good choice of hot and cold snacks and drinks, very pleasant views.
Free car park with plenty of spaces.
Helpful and polite staff, all round a easy comfortable shopping experience.
P. A.
Good allround shop sells everything for the house and garden and more .Has toilets and caff big free car park good prices
D. W.
This is the headquarters of The Range chain, and has recently been refurbished and extended, including an even greater range of products than they previously had, together with the addition of a cafe. All small household goods, furniture and decorations are available, together with a large art and craft section. There is also a pets, toys and garden section, as well as seasonal goods - at present, they have all Christmas goods out. So there is lots of choice for almost anything you want at excellent prices.
R. J.
Good selection of goods to deck out your home such as lighting, cushions, pictures, ornaments, kitchen utensils etc. Also has a pet supply section and gardening tools. Nice cafe upstairs with restrooms available. In a separate building they have house hold furniture as well as garden furniture in the summer. Parking is available which is free
D. P.
Great staff but cheap products which are always being returned faulty.
j. o.
The rang as ever good choice of things. Pity some of the safe could be more helpful and look like thay enjoy there job
B. M.
Great products at a good price 👌
G. J. (.
I loved the original store at the edge of Plymstock. When I visited the shop I bought some paint by numbers pictures and stopped off at the restaurant where I enjoyed a lovely piece of toast with Raspberry jam. Sadly the tea wasn't very nice so I left the tea behind. The toast was done to perfection and the jam was deliciously fruity and they provided enough butter and jam to cover the toast. Definitely will go back to this shop again. Thanks ;~D
P. G.
The Range seems to have improved its range (no pun intended) since last we visited. Still a lot of cheap 'made in India' furniture but a few gems, such as the Apollo bookcase and velvet ottomans. Worth a look.
A. M.
Vast range of home and living products. Found bedding sets for my children which were well priced and good quality. Managed to find all the Xmas bits I was in need of and a few last minute presents also sorted here. Recommended.
g. b.
The range was great I wanted to buy an electric drill it didn't have a price on the box the staff member went from one end of the shop to the other and back to me with the price very polite and helpful
E. Y.
A good and diverse selection of reasonably priced household items, furniture, DIY, pet and outdoor items. Recently new build cafe and arts and crafts part upstairs. I do like this place due to the competitive pricing, massive car park and selection for your household needs. The reason I've been a bit harsh with a four and not five star is that the aisles of most of the items are quite narrow and I reckon wheelchair users and push chair users would struggle, considering that the store went through a refurb, the aisle space didn't seem to be a concern. Shame.
I. s.
Great store, really nice staff nothing too much trouble for them. Great cafe all good.
T. P.
Great store with a large carpark at rear. Store is bright and fresh though a bit tight down some the aisles. Lots of choice whatever your looking for, from some ambiant food, wallpaper/decorating, household items for every room of the house, seasonal and more.
E. D. R.
I find this store easier to navigate than the huge derriford one, massive range of goods and friendly staff
D. C.
I went there today with my husband and 2.5 year old. The shop was very tidy, everything was displayed neatly and labelled clearly. We had dinner in the cafe which was clean and reasonably priced. All the staff in the shop and cafe were friendly and helpful.
T. M.
Good reasonable price store.
T. T.
Well laid out and helpful staff, except the lad on the door. Who was quite rude and abrupt because my wife wasnt wearing a mask due to her asthma but he wouldnt or couldnt understand how serious breathing disorders are.
C. T.
A great Range store!
It's a bit more expensive than Wilko but the products are of better quality. However, it can be hard to find plain objects. Overall, the prices are good. There is a wide selection of products in a big size store. There is two floors including a café, and a separate building with big pieces of furniture such as sofas and tables.
M. K.
If you are interested in arts and crafts and cheaper homeware this is the place to go. Furniture is in one building offering a good range of sofas, beds, lights etc The main building was extended upwards not so long ago with the arts and crafts section complete with cafe being on the new first floor. My only gripe about Range is it's failure to stock some of the obvious brand names. I would prefer a better children/ toys/game selection. Given all the space, I would like to see a wider range of the standard games and a section for Lego. Less profit perhaps but higher sales. That said I would defy anyone not to find something they like in this excellent store.
H. W.
Helpful friendly staff available. Was helped by a nice young chap with a parasol stand (too heavy for me to lift ). He waited with it at the till until I was ready to pay.
Will definately visit again. Good selection of cushions!!! Thank you
P. P.
Reasonably priced, a bit addictive, makes you want to buy more stuff once you've inside. Free parking and café upstairs with limited range of food (good jacket potatoes!) and beverages, clean toilets and long opening hours.
d. C.
I fond the range so great to shop and the great deals you have and all the staff is very helpful to. restaurant is very good and the staff is so helpful. Only thing is that restaurant is upstairs not giving you much room when you have to take your trollies with you and if you are in a wheelchairs . But it's enjoyable place to shop.
D. B.
To be fair, in the recent times, places like this being able to stay open has really helped. Lots of choices, lots of non food essentials available. Good staff, plenty of parking etc
Looking forward to checking out the Derriford shop.
O. B.
A simple store now with an ICELAND built in. A great store for the DIY or home improvements with a good range of the ooooh pretty stuff.
Just off a busy road it can be a challenge getting out of the car park but other than that good store.
C. L.
Very good store. A wide range of things at Very reasonable prices. Staff always helpful and if you cannot find what you want just ask and you will be taken to where the item is.
Will always shop there first.
J. A.
Good range of gifts and homewares. Dropped q star as long wait to pay. Can we please have more till staff
L. E.
Plenty to look at but parking restrictions of 2 hrs for an out of town place spoils one's enjoyment. Watching the clock takes away from the relaxation of looking around and precludes the use of the cafe if one wants to also spend time browsing. There are other places equally good but without a two hour limit
D. B.
Various amount of goods to purchase from a drawing pin to a hot tub all at affordable prices.
K. D.
A very wide range of household products at good prices. The store is very busy despite our 'lockdown'; hard to access on foot but parking is free; be patient at the check out.
J. R.
Big store once inside, doesnt look big crom outside. Really nice stuff and good prices too. Will use again.
D. L.
Good sized store with a free car park but it can be a huge pain getting in and out of the place due to the terrible road outside.
Overall there is a good selection of products spread over a variety of departments but it feels like the prices aren't terribly cheap any more which is what the brand is built upon.
It's one of those stores that you go to when you don't know where you can buy something and the store itself is very clean and tidy. However is not what I would call an essential shopping location, even for Plymouth.
P. M.
Wide selection of goods, reasonable prices and very helpful staff. A pleasure shopping at the range.
B. M.
My wife and I were in the store today , Thursday 14th February, and walking around, my blood sugar levels dropped quite dramatically to below 2.0. I am a type 1 diabetic and I have to carry my reader at all times just for emergencies like these. It was such a lovely day , clear blue skies, I left my jacket in the car containing my pack of emergency sweets.
The two staff ladies in the cafeteria were wonderful, every thing was text book and it was with their help that diverted a potential blue light.
Ladies please except my sincere gratitude for your help.
Well done all those at "The Range"
Yours sincerely
Brian and Maureen
J. L.
The store looks brand new. Big free parking behind the store. The cafe is really nice and it has good offers. Still I need to visit the new big The Range store to compare products. Staff friendly and helpful.
A. F.
Getting better, staff more polite and helpful. Generally well stocked and decently priced.
N. D.
Lots of products and choice but there are two things that let this shop down. The first is the staff, an example of which on Sunday showed a gentleman buying a huge bag of compost. As he paid and lifted it to his shoulder, the bag spilt and went everywhere. The staff member did nothing, he then asked whilst we were being served, could he pick up another as his bag split? Her response was "it was the way you picked it up, I'll check with the manager". The manager Meena, naturally said yes with a far better attitude. The second let down is parking. Be aware if you park for longer than two hours you get fined £60! The shop say there are adequate signs informing customers (which are small) but with the store so big, having children with you, and a cafe area, it's very easy to overrun. Make sure you put your registration number in a folder held at Customer Services (which is something they don't make you aware of) and your registration number will be taken off the fine list with the private company they use!
R. P.
A great range of items but not very competitive pricing.
P. M.
Good range of products, however lacking some DIY basics! Staff seem uninterested to help locate items within the store
N. S.
DIY store, fairly large by UK standards, but offering a limited variety compared to USA stores like Home Depot or Lowe's. We needed some kitchen sink parts. Their total plumbing department was about 10 linear feet of shelf space. I was expecting more selection.
J. W.
Good range (ha!) of items but waited in the queue for the cafe for half an hour! Til was playing up, pizza ovens were smoking, etc. dreadful!!! Would have left if grandson wasn't so hungry and waiting at a table.
L. C.
Everything you need can be found here
M. B.
Well stocked store bought a desk as home working and a nice colleague got a trolley and wheeled it to my car and lifted it in. Really impressed with the great customer service I received today.
J. W.
Great for decorating needs and housewares!
My wifes favorite shop! Pets stuff, food from Icelands, even has a toilet you can use.
T. K.
Some things are over priced. Not really a bargain to be had. Poor quality on many items too.
C. B.
A nice place to shop, covers most of the home things you might need apart large white goods, there is a cafe, and clean toilets upstairs, with lift and stairs access, large pet section, and small garden centre, toy section everything is very reasonably priced.
M. M.
Good parking, well laid out store. Plenty to choose from.
A. G.
Reasonably priced, a good variety of stock. Staff could be more helpful
K. S.
Nice shop carrying a lot of products for the home and garden, pet area OK not well stocked on dog food as far as I'm concerned, drinks from cafe are nice, food OK but nothing to right home about, bonus of an Iceland if you've forgotten anything, one downfall if you've done shopping you have to to put in on to a counter, no prob, but its very high
F. L.
I went primarily for art paper. I found what I was looking for after being distracted by the various displays of goodies on offer. The only complaint is that their Web site does not tally with the shop I.e the Web site says they open at 9 whilst the shop says 8. They also do not have all the items in store that the Web page offers.
K. J.
Has some really elegant items in store I buy my crafts from his store cus he has some nice things in the department at reasonable prices
. That fit in with what I can oford
B. R.
Great selection, great prices, great layout, everything you need, only problem is that the store is a bit too big for the staff, not always around and they aren't the most knowledgeable regarding what they actually sell: fun fact, they don't sell chalk. Other than that amazing store.
S. B.
Good range of goods. However wanted a particular pond pump seen online but not on shelf in store. Went to "customer service" and asked of a man in short and tie(assuming manager-ish?) About the item. "You have to order online" and then felt dismissed - end of. Oh for the good old days where people would listen and sympathise and give constructive advice. I think they called it, what was it ? Oh yes, CUSTOMER SERVICE!
S. G.
Good range of goods, lovely bedding and reasonably priced. Only down for me is there is not enough staff to ask any questions. However when you do find someone they are very helpful
N. R.
Ok if you want bits and pieces if you don't want to travel to the other side of the city to go to a DIY store then this has your paints and other stuff also got an Iceland inside which is quite handy.
e. H.
Its Great value I'm not Coming Back to the Range it's Is To expensive Money on my own I think family for Christmas it's for for the the best
N. B.
Must love it here because I have been coming here for 29 years. It is deffo more upmarket nowadays! Nice friendly and helpful staff too.
A. C.
Great service.
One of the staff, went above and beyond.
He found us a tv bracket from the furniture department, which was closed to the public.
What a lovely chap. Thank you.
J. M.
Everything you could possibly want. Large free car park and enough tills open so no long wait to pay. Craft section especially good with a lift to get you up there
Also a small coffee shop and a loo!
P. H.
It's like a small Trago Mills. Some cheap tat as well as some decent bargains. If you're careful and accept the old adage that, " You get what you pay for", you shouldn't be disappointed. Chris Dawson certainly knows that not everyone wants to pay or can afford to pay the prices asked by many retailers. Wish I'd had his idea and drive 30 years ago😁
S. G.
Helpful staff. Lots of choice.a wide range to choose from .
Easy parking .instant access to the store.
Always a pleasure to shop.
L. M.
Top class service yesterday from a young man in your Arts & Crafts dept. We were buying paints for my son's school project. He knew his facts, and thankfully redirected us from buying paint that wouldn't have worked, as well as giving sound knowledge on the choices of paint we had. My husband & I both commented on it being the best service we've had anywhere for a very long time. Wish i'd taken his name, young lad wearing glasses. I hope you're paying him well!
G. R.
Great shop with wide selection of products. Cafe up stairs (go for the bacon nutty! Loooovvvley). A little tight in places for a motorised wheelchair but on the whole, easily navigable. Enjoy.
g. W.
Large variety of stock inc diy, pets products, Iceland frozen meals, nice cafe upstairs
D. V.
Easy enough to find what you want and some good products for reasonable prices.
Unfortunately let down today by till staff standing around not being proactive managing queues until a manager came and asked them to open the tills.
A. R.
It's the Range... Has a bunch of cheap furniture and decor if that's what you're looking for.
I. P.
It has a wide variety of reasonably priced products including outdoor stuff like parts and also loungers it has a variety of furniture it has a small section for electrical items it also has a DIY section.
Arts and crafts stuff too
H. O.
Has everything you want smashing place
G. P.
The Range formally Chris Dawson's Store (CDS) the first of over a 100 stores in the UK. Chris Dawson gave the general public on average income, somewhere they could afford to shop on the nicer things for around the house. Not everyone can afford High Street Shopping. Well done Chris Dawson.
G. M.
Had most things your looking for pleasant staff good car parking
B.
Clean. Well laid out, cafe is great. Products well stocked but lots of items without prices labelled
M. F.

R. G.
Very, very good. The staff were very helpful I couldn't have wished for more at the time of need... So thank you for your help ❤️❤️...
M. H.
Apart from the store having a great selection of products. Just discovered they are bringing out new ranges of food items in their café including a fantastic poppy and Iemon drizzle cake. With a selection of new doughnuts.
E. H.
Good selection and variety of stock staff helpful and willing to assist
S. B.
The new store is great. We particularly like the cafe. The lift to the upper floor gives good accessibility but the isle layout still feels a little cramped for wheelchairs and prams
M. W.
Experience was fine! Although there is no logic to the one way walking system for COVID. Also the employees do not police social distancing.
R. R.
This store carries a little bit of everything from crafting, DIY electricals, Pets, gardening. You name it and there will be a selection of items. The staff are not intrusive and are polite and helpful.
S. B.
We always enjoy a visit to the Range. Plenty of great bargains for the home as well as crafts, plants for the home and garden, toys, diy tools and snacks. Staff are helpful and friendly.
A. B.
If you like Diversity then you'll love The Range! Where else can you buy bins, cider making kits, paving slabs, headphones, glitter, chrome effect Buddha's, washing lines, pictures, angle grinders, mouse food, paper plates and rocks specifically sold for painting on?
D. B. R.
Due to size not too diversified product range
t. c.
Great shopp experience here. Lots of choice of household goods and a Iceland in store as well which is very handy.
T. T.
Love this place has everything that you need. Pricing is fair. I have to so that most of what you look for you find. Even the Iceland part is cool.
L. G.
Good food and coffee in the cafe plus excellent household and garden items throughout the store.
L. H.
Take a look around & have a coffee. Usually you'll remember that thing you need & end up spending more than you would think. There are bargains to be had, something for everyone. Great, unless you're paying!
S. R.
Wide range of products and I literally found everything I was looking for; from over the door hooks to car spray paint and even lightweight luggage. Staff were friendly and really helpful.
P. F.
The range has almost everything you need, all under on roof. The craft mezzanine area is excellent leading on to the cafe. Always plenty of willing staff on hand to help you.
T.
Huge selection as always is good place for all sorts miss the 5th star as was a little disappointed with the selection of Christmas trees in store
G. E. (.
One poor guy on the checkouts whilst chaos ensued.
K. H.
We went to the range yesterday and there have got beautiful things for me to buy so we will be going back sometime next week
O. B.
This is the first Range made in the UK. And the best. Got so many things, including furniture, school supplies, and even food.
M. E.
As expected, a big warehouse of interesting and useful things at sensible prices. If there is a bathroom here, it is well hidden. It's a big old place, and a long shopping expedition to not provide a toilet.
M. T.
Helpful staff, a bit of everything in one store. Iceland, pets ,home decor, garden centre ,DIY, crafts ,toys, restaurant and more. Proper ontop the covid malarkey aswell
A. R.
My wife and I often frequent a The Range if there's one nearby. This one was 52 miles from our house.
E. S.
Had items I required, well laid out and not too busy so allowed easy social distancing.
W. L.
Great specials and bargains! Staff are friendly and always willing to help. Just been upgraded, added more seconds and isles as well as a cafe for snacks and coffee, nice view from the cafe.
D. B.
Need your Christmas decoration head there
P. W.
This was the first store in "The Range" empire formally known as CDS. The owner comes from Plymouth and went to a nearby school. Store has been upgraded with an upstairs cafe. Well laid out with nearly everything to put in your house with a furniture section alongside. Plenty of parking at hand.
j. m.
This might be a tad controversial but there is no easy way to navigate this shop. Displays are very close together too so you can't maintain social distance in the shop.
s. t.
An extremely large range of all sorts, some of the pricing is great value but some of it is over priced so it's hit and miss,
Loads of parking I have never struggled to get a parking space,
They sell most house required items interior and exterior, worth a browse on a Sunday.
J. P.
This is a good store with a lot of variety. They sell garden furniture, DIY equipment, home decorations, catering equipment, pet care supplies, arts and crafts equipment and confectionery. There is also a café.
W. H.
As usual with The Range a fair bit of stock was not priced or worse there is a price on the end of a wall hanger only for it to be dearer at the till and you don't realise until you get home. Happens quite regular. Sort it out or lose a customer.
P. C.
If the Range haven't got it then it probably doesn't exist, that's been my view for years , and decent prices
p. j.
there's so much to look at there and lovely things for the home, garden and furniture you can't go wrong plus a coffee shop
all under one roof . plus easy parking.
L. V. f. f.
Great store but be careful and check your receipt as often get charged more than the stated price...had to return numerous times to get this sorted.
k. j.
A bit cluttered and the width of the isle were small. Luckily I was able to buy the item I had gone there for. Iceland store inside too.
K.
Really enjoyed looking around and having a bite to eat here. Portion size in the cafe is on the small side but customer service is good and we didn’t feel rushed or pressured into buying anything.
K. H.
The Rangers almost everything you could want and a few things you never imagined you did
s. l.
Love the range. Went here as the new range at derriford, you cant park a mini bus as the parking areas have over head height restriction barriers and the mini bus is too high.
W. M.
Really good opening times. Big store with a massive selection. Definitely better than Poundland or Poundstretcher. But it's not a Mark & Spencer. Prices affordable for every pocket.
h. r.
Great food large amounts. Frendly staff . Lovely outlook
J. T.
A good store with huge variety. However, quality does seem to lack on the majority of products and their returns policy isnt great. Other than that, thenstaff are helpful.
L. W.
The staff are friendly & helpful. They sell lots of everything at reasonable prices. The cafe is spotless & food good.
B. B.
excellent assortment of good quality stuff ideal for taking everyone before a holiday, activities for travelling games whilst there, cutlery n crockery galore,, snacks for u and the pet, and hardware to fix your house after someone broke in while u were away
M. D.
"If we don't sell it, you don't need it" They always have everything you need. One very tidy store, and the manager will spend time with you to help you make the right purchase. They have the right ingredient and bucking the trend
P. S.
I love going to the range, lots to see, varied qualities and prices. Always come away with something. Also nice cafe for a snack and good coffee. No wifi though
A. A.
I love the range at plymstock its laid out really good and you have the furniture shop over the road the staff are friendly snd always willing to help and after the retail shopping have a nice tea or coffee and something to eat to end the experience all chilled
S. H.
Unless I'm looking for houseplants they seem to have everything else I want here. Over 2 floors with a lift and stairs. Lovely cafe upstairs too.
S. H.
Everything I need all in 1 place. Perfect
A. L.
Brilliant to walk around and pick up some bargains. My only observation is that if you should buy anything and decide to buy the item again at a later date, or back to the shop you purchased from as I have purchased from the peveral store and then gone to the plymstock sore only to find they don't stock it.
A. O.
Great shop. Sells basically anything you could ever want, apart from Prince charming of course but.. I'm sure you could knock something up in the DIY section that would suffice.
S. K.
I remember the days when it was C.D.S And it was a bit of a car boot sale which was fun at the time. Now it looks all corporate And regimental easy to find stuff take my hat off to you Chris well done mate.
S. M.
Just a diverse amount of stock, if you need something quickly chances are they may have it. Could save a lot of driving around.
S. H.
Cheap n cheerful. Get the right staff member and they're great, helpful and happy. Plenty of variety in stock, some good little bargains
K. S.
Very busy at the tills but other than that a great place to shop. A very big variety of things being sold (hence the name) so you can find anything you need.
M. H.
It's typical of this type of outlet although there are some bargains and it has improved over the last 2 or 3 years, it's the same old story " you get what you pay for". Staff do try to be helpful though.
L. C.
Love the range some realy nice bits and bobs .ideal for people just setting up home.a good selection of stuff.well worth a walk around.always come out with something
M. P.
I used to love The Range but now I find it overpriced.
This particular shop does have a very wide variety of items available and is a large store with a cafe, however I would rate it as average and nothing special.
M. H.
Good range. Iceland stock a bonus. Free large Car park.
P. D. W.
Quick visit to pick up food from Iceland not to many people in store at 14.00
B. P.
Its a bit of a Mish mash of stuff in here, cheap and cheerful. Better since they have added a car park at the back. You get what you pay for, low end discount shop.
J. B.
I love this shop. After After a gentle walk around to purchase my bargain priced items in their hollowed and art departments, I relaxed in the coffee shop upstairs.
M. P.

Colleague in furniture section was both helpful and knowledgeable. I visited and purchased on two occasions and now have the Range at the top of my home refurbishment list

I've bought a workbench from here and some gaffer tape. The toliet is up stairs in the arts and crafts section. I think the Car Park is haunted.

The range is a great bargain in a wide range of items, my only problem in this store is the layout and it feels a slightly cluttered when compared to the store near home park and the cafe isn't the best but ok for a quick cup of coffee
