House of Fraser Reading is located inside The Oracle shopping centre. It’s a stalwart store that has been there for a long time. There are a number of concessions in store that add to the overall brand and product presence. For me the main brands are: Diesel, Armani, Boss & All Saints. Recently the brands seem to have suffered a bit of product depletion meaning less choice. All Saints noticeably has much less selection. My feel is post Covid the store is attempting to rebalance. There are also way less available mens suits to choose from. That aside you can find some great products in this store and certainly during the sales you can bag some bargains. The store also offers a great fragrance selection. It’s a shame that Karen Millen is no longer here as it was my go to for buying nice gifts for lady friends (who doesn’t like Karen Millen right ladies?). It’s a small miracle HoF didn’t get wiped out by Covid and the shift in high street to online shopping. I think you will always find something in this store that you didn’t know you needed. I’d recommend a visit if you are shopping @ The Oracle.

Not what it used to be, Sports Direct got their dirty hands onto a great business. Real shame as it used to be one of my favourite stores. Not just for the branding but, the staff were second to none. All the best ones seem to have left/overheard they were made redundant. Don’t see how Mr Ashley intends on keeping all his staff on zero hour…none of them seem like they wanna be there now. However I’ll give 3 stars as, it’s filled to the brim with choice and brands. Also James on Menswear was fantastic. Genuinely, top bloke with great customer service. Thanks to David also for his help regarding a Barbour coat.

All the brand names products you can find in here. Including makeup brands, clothing brands, perfume brands, bags, shoes and accessories to explore. Love going in there and try some new products in Mac cosmetics section as they accept the blue light card discount as well.

Good selection of men & women's clothing available in store! Picked up a few items at reasonable price today. I've had much better service from House of Fraser staff in the past. The last couple of times have been especially not so nice experience for me. I was told on phone I could exchange a pair of Georgio Armani Jeans only to then make a special trip to store and be bluntly refused 😑 Where has kindness and courtesy disappeared to these days? We found ourself a lovely mens hoodie by Hugo Boss in the correct size today, only to have the staff at the desk forcefully remove the alarm tag and making a large hole in its place 🙄 our luck, that was the last one in stock 😒 Luckily, we found it in stock online directly from Hugo Boss 🙃 Happy days...

Really good store, amazing range but... We learned the hard way that unless the product you want is available with specific staff working in that area you can't necessarily get what you want - which is very disappointing

Lots of good sales/bargains, very hot in store though. Lots of brands on offer from sportswear to premium branding. Hoping the store stays in The Oracle! Would be a real shame to see it go. Staff very polite across the store. In particular, friendly service by Daniel on Men’s earlier. He helped me get my nephew some bits for his Birthday. He talked about the top brands currently popular among the younger generation and he kept a strong sales approach, throughout the time we spent together. It’s nice too still see good customer service, in today’s society. Can always count on HOF for customer satisfaction X

No air conditioning on men’s floor? Can’t be good for the staff. Staff is a 50/50, some don’t seem too interested, some are very nice though. That’s if you can find them. Returns policy is pretty naff but that’s Sports Direct for you. The online process now is in shambles too. They can’t even get the correct size/items right. Then gotta waste time sending back, trying to contact them. Onto the positive though. I had a fantastic experience in store yesterday with Daniel on the Armani/Paul Smith area. Very friendly and efficient lad. I’ll be sure to pay him another visit when I’m next in Reading.

Great experience in store yesterday on Mens department. Fancied some new jeans for work and tried out the Diesel section and was not disappointed. It was a struggle to find staff but then a young man by the name of Daniel, approached me and he was very witty and knowledgeable of the products on display. He talked me through all the style names, what could work for me and I’ll be sure to visit again after a great experience with him. Top marks for Daniel, it’s nice to still see customer service done right!

Very friendly service by Danny on the mens fitting room today! He was very patient, polite and helpful with my family today. My Father who rarely gets around these days, needed some new jeans and Danny recommended Levi’s. My dad ended up buying two pairs as they were a perfect fit. I also wanted to say, my brother has special needs but Danny was absolutely amazing with him. Kept him smiling, feeling comfortable and he really made our visit into store today, 100% worth it. Will definitely be back to see him

Too warm, bad return policy....All Saints staff are great, very friendly assistants across most of the floor. Guy on Levi’s with glasses can be rude at times. Seems like he doesn’t get on with staff either as he talks very ‘off’ with them. Great brands in though, nice bargains

A good range of products. I'm always happy to have a look "what's new" and there are always some bargains if you have time to look at sale section. I do like the shoes and bags section, I can spend hours on them. On the ground floor, where is the home department you can also find lots of good products for your home.

Fantastic store very helpful staff considerate understanding and support of what I expected being respected as purchase was expensive and good product for my wife christmas present especially assunta the sales assistant went above and beyond with understanding what I needed and she was approachable welcoming and friendly and was very knowledgeable of the product I was buying normally I purchase Elizabeth arden but decided to purchase Estee lauder gift set which so happy with and purchased another perfume as well definitely vist again great to be treated well than just feel like a paying customer merry Christmas to all the staff at house of fraser in reading the oracle
