It got to the point where I began to feel uncomfortable that I did not deserve such levels of customer service so far over and above what we have become to expect elsewhere. Excellent service from start to finish. Bought a TV 2 years ago which recently suffered a failed backlight. This was included in the 6 year warranty they offer and it was replaced. We bought a TV from Richer Sounds for our mother. Unfortunately there was an issue with the sound and the television was sent back and they sent another to us to replace it. Unfortunately this one had the same issue. I rang up and spoke to Mark, he said he thought he knew what the issue was and that he could talk me through fixing it. I wasn’t at my mums but I arranged to go for 1 o’clock, promptly at one, Mark rang, talked me through the issue and fixed it. However I was worried that it was a temporary fix, so he said he’d call my mum back at three. Which he did and we discovered that he had indeed fixed the issue which had been plaguing us. After all this, we felt he’d already gone above and beyond what we expected. But after 5 days he rang again just to make sure everything was still working correctly. You can be sure that after this service, every electrical appliance I ever buy, will be bought from Richer Sounds and Mark’s customer service will be the reason why.

Always excellent service at this store - I recently moved house and needed some assistance with a TV I originally purchased from here. I spoke to John on the phone and he told me to come along with the set and he’d take a look in store, which he did, and fixed the issue for me at no charge. I won’t purchase AV kit from anywhere else (including online retailers) - I think the advice and help far outweighs the small amounts you might save on the web. And for that matter they are pretty keen on price too. It’s a no brainier in my book. Highly recommended.

Visited with a view to check out the TV's available. With Covid restrictions at the moment, they ask for you to make an appointment (although walk in is possible if you can be accommodated). We were given guidance by Jack. He was very knowledgeable and what we liked was that there was no pressure to purchase. Having come home to do more research into the TVs we were interested in, we have priced matched against other retailers and found them competitive for the package on offer (price plus 6 year warranty), so there is every chance we will be going back to make a purchase, or purchase online.

Been shopping here for years. Staff are excellent, really passionate about what they do, knowledgeable, helpful, can't fault them. Prices are always spot on and there after sales support is also excellent. Most extended guarantees are either really expensive or have so many get out clauses they're not worth the paper they're written on. Not here though, good value, honest and clear extended guarantees make for great piece of mind when making larger purchases. I wouldn't go anywhere else for AV kit and highly recommend a visit.

I had a pair of in-ear headphones which had broken through no fault of my own, and John (a very helpful salesman) told me that if I bought in the receipt and the headphones, I would get either a new pair for free (as they were under warranty) or the money that I paid for the original headphones towards some new ones. In twenty minutes, I had gone in with broken headphones, and walked out having paid £35 for a pair of £65 headphones. Money well spent (and saved) thanks to excellent advice, and the customer service is always excellent, and has been when I've bought things in that past. I'd highly recommend this shop.

ive had my faith in humanity restored at richer sounds. About 3 months ago i bought a tv,sound bar and a blue ray player , unfortunately i lost the remote control to the sound bar , i visited the shop to order another one i spoke to a very helpful chap named nat , i explained my situation to him , he said he would put a request out to the engineers to see if any of them had a spare one to send in for me at no charge just postage. I got a call today from nat saying he had got a remote for me , i visited the shop to collect the remote i didnt even have to pay the postage , thats what you call a fantastic service a big thanks to nat , thats why richer sounds have won retailer of the year more than once.

Over the years i have purchase several T.V's and audio systems from Richer Sounds, always had a great service with a price to match. I did have an issue with 1 T.V that was dealt with very quickly by an engineer coming out to fix it. Given the chose of going to Richer Sounds or the other big computer planet retailer,its a no brainier.

I've been a customer of RS for a few years now, and the experience has never been short of fantastic. These guys know their stuff, and never try the hard sale. If your needs only require the cheap option, they wont try to sell you the whole shop. I recently went in to purchase a new TV. After speaking with Tom, I came away with a 49" Samsung, and I was happy, however when I came to watch my first film, I noticed that the back-light was bleeding through in a few areas more than it should. I got it boxed back up, the guys had a look, agreed it was outside normal tolerances, and swapped it there and then. I took the opportunity, made the executive decision, and ended up coming away with the next model up :). John even offered to help me carry it home when I wasn't sure it would fit in my car, but it flew in. Cheers guys. There is no doubt I'll be back again.

I recently purchased a 8 series 55" samsung smart tv the shop was only doing by appointment so i called the call centre and the people are quite knowledgeable I ordered and paid for the tv which was due to come in to their warehouse in a few days no problem. I have recently had a set of Sennheiser Bluetooth headphones as a gift and needed an audio transmitter as my Denon system receives but doesn't transmit Bluetooth. I was served by John who was so knowledgeable and downright determined to make sure I made the right purchase. The Connect Universal Bluetooth Audio Transmitter works brilliantly for my needs and I can't recommend the Sennheisers enough, the sound is mind-blowing. John also helped with a minor cable problem and I can't thank him enough. It's so good to know that this kind of customer service still exists!

After purchasing a Cocktail Audio X10 on 18th January 2014 I found that there was obvious evidence that the equipment had been previously used extensively. On visiting the store the next day to return the item, and on speaking to a member of staff (I think it was Nathan), I was convinced that there had been a genuine mistake, and the equipment was replaced immediately. Nathan was clearly concerned about the error and genuinely concerned about restoring my faith in Richer Sounds and in ensuring customer satisfaction. No one is perfect, anyone can make a mistake, but when it happens these guys do their best to put things right quickly. This is my second major purchase from the Hanley Branch of Richer Sounds this month, an based on my experience so far. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
