Well. Last time we left a review it was for the new cooker - which made Christmas a hell of a lot better than it was looking to be - and I did say I'd be back to T&G when my washer decided it had had enough of us. (ok, me.) That time has sadly come. Ordering a new machine was made a lot easier by Glenn who gave us unbiased advice and a delivery slot. He turned up as he said, on time, waited for us to bid farewell to our old machine, removed it and promptly installed the new one. He then gave us a tutorial on its features, how to get the best out of it, gave me some handy hints on laundering various items (duvets and so on), showed us how to operate it, and didn't seem in too much of a hurry. Unlike AO previously who delivered and removed and left me to it and took about two nanoseconds. After a quick flick through the instructions - which I didn't really need - the new washing machine and I were already on good terms. It's a Bosch by the way, 1400 spin, 9kg load, love it already and would definitely recommend. The machine might regret landing here, as I get through washers like Zsa Zsa Gabor got through husbands (and limbs), but so far so good. May The Bosch and I remain a great partnership for many years. What we have both been impressed with is Mr Smedley's quiet reliable professionalism; as my husband says it's not often you find someone that turns up when they say they will (well, turn up at all, are you listening Currys?) and that you can trust. No hard sell, just honest advice and great service. We wouldn't buy household appliances anywhere else now. Online isn't cheaper, and it certainly isn't better. Hope that's not too much of a backhanded compliment. Many thanks, we are both really satisfied.

I had called D & G engineer in for a Siemens washer repair but he had to "put it down", he did however recommend T&G for a reliable and honest replacement. I phoned him at 3pm asking for another Siemens washer at my price. He said he would place the order (D&G engineer had warned me that with vivid 19 there was a general shortage of washers). However a suitable Siemens washer was found, an appointment made, washer installed and running and T& G engineer gone with the old washer by 5pm. Astounding and very impressive!

Absolutely brilliant service. Can't recommend them enough. Called them at 9.20am and by 11am had my new washing machine fitted with the old one taken away. Honest advice with good prices and reliable service. Would definitely use them again.

Fantastic service - husband rang yesterday afternoon looking for a replacement cooker, lovely chap arrived this morning with new one he had recommended to my OH, fitted it and repaired the extractor thingy over the cooker while he was there. We love our new cooker, just what we wanted - we celebrated with a nice salad lunch so we can keep it looking pristine. Seriously, T&G are the best, I bought from them before due to favourable word-of-mouth recommendation and we will definitely shop there again next time we need a domestic appliance. Which will be soon, the way I get through washing machines....Thank you very very much. ( Currys etc can just Do One.)

My 5 year old Bosch ceramic hob failed. I’d pinned it down to the control board but the part was unavailable and expensive. I took the hob into T and G who confirmed my fears. With their help and technical knowledge, they supplied a replacement Neff induction hob which dropped into the existing cutout with barely a millimetre of play. Great result!

The Water dispenser had broken and was fixed on the Monday. It was not noticed until Wednesday that the demo mode had been inadvertently put on. We called up straightaway and within half an hour he was here. Not only did he resolve it but offered to pay for the food that had been wasted and added a tenner on top for the trouble. That gesture alone was not expected and went above and beyond any service we have received before from anywhere else. Highly recommended for the professionalism and customer service. It even made us feel guilty by taking the money which he insisted on. The very least we could do was to write a review for such an unbelievable act of kindness.

Edit 30/4/20 >> once again to the rescue, replaced my daughter tumble dryer within hours, having done same with washer a few weeks ago. Brilliant even in these hard times, she would have been in trouble with an 18 month old and no ability to dry clothes! >>>> Over the years T&G have supplied myself, my immediate family, and my business with washers, dryers, fridges, freezers, vacuum cleaners and carried out service work on a few occasions. All at a price that has been very acceptable, all on time & when required. There are a reducing number of small local businesses of this quality, and this is one of the best. Support T&G and enjoy the quality of supply & service they offer.

Can't rate T&G, and in particular Glenn, highly enough. Bought a new washing machine which was delivered, expertly fitted, tidied up, the packaging and old machine taken away and disposed of and all with a really professional service. The price was very competitive compared to the big retailers like AO and Appliances Direct and I will definitely use again for all white goods repair or new fit. I even received advice on a recall for another item in the house and was provided with help and advice on the use of the new washer. Even if the big on-line retailers offered a better price for the full service, which they did not, the professionalism and personal service would have been worth any extra cost.

Have only been using T & G Electrics for the last few years during which time I have taken several items in for repair all have been mended (where possible) in a timely fashion and at a very reasonable price. I have and will continue to buy any new appliances here instead of larger retail outlets as the advice given and the help in choosing the right appliance is excellent. Highly recommended.

We needed a new dishwasher, not only was Glenn's service 5* including delivery, installation and recycling of old machine, the prices are really competitive, we will never go to Currys again!!

As a 20 something setting up home for the 1st time in the early naughties I bought all my white goods from a major electrical store. After paying for the goods the business went into receivership the day before they were due to be delivered. Luckily Im bolshy so I went to the store & physically carried the cooker & fridge Id paid for off the display, wedged them into the back of my cousins fiat punto & drove into the sunset. Good job too as yrs later I got a cheque for 48p from the insolvency service to compensate me for the hundreds of £'s Id spent on things that I didn't receive. Left without a new washing machine Id paid for & on a tight budget I bought a reconditioned washer from T&G. Wished I'd gone there for everything from the start. That reconditioned washer served me without fail for nearly 20yrs. THAT is a standard of service, integrity & value for money you don't often find these days. I can't rate them highly enough.
