Reviews of The Range
N. “. H.
Whilst it is a huge store it was very disorganised and chaotic. It didn't have what i had travelled in for and i found it very disappointing. Staff seemed helpful enough though and cheerful which to me makes it look outwardly a good place to work. It makes me want to ring ahead in the future to check stock before using fuel on a wasted journey. Not that i can guarantee anyone will actually go and look for me.
The iceland part of the store was a bit bleak too. Most of it was empty and not a great deal of choice of what was left.
Overall just a bit of a let down!
I did however come away with some unexpected items that i never knew they sold (make up) so not an entire wasted trip.
p. b.
Great for parking and paddleboards.
I was really surprised I couldn't buy nail clippers. Nicely presented display, though.
Slow service on the tills

One of my favourite shops , visiting many times during the year. Since got garden even more often. In a spring and summer months you can find big range of garden plants in not bad prices. Can see from there year they add a house plants to the offer and must say prices are not that bad as well. You can get very nice house decor, and to be honest most everything you need can be found in the shop.
k.
Good place to buy everything you need to home and not only. It has section and it was relatively tidy. Not too high prices. Ladies on the till been slightly confused when I was waiting in a que couldn't scan product etc but I guess nothing is easy and straight after COVID.
j.
Good selection of stock , much variety. Good pricing.. small pet store within. Easy free parking too. Halfords next door. Well located .
J. T.
Was looking for 25 litre bags of compost. Could only see 50L /large bags, which I could lift. Good selection of plants. Could not see signs to s lift, as I have trouble with stairs. I expect there is one for disabled people to view 1st Floor, staff not available on the shop floor to ask. All were very busy. I will search again. Shop very busy, and needs more ilse space for browsing.
D. C.
The Range is a wonderful store. You can loose a day looking at all the great items. There's a cafe for when you begin to feel weak and need sustinence to carry on. The lady at the check out wasnt the best representative of the store however a pleasant visit all told.
O. N.
Cheap with good section of products. Example, resolve weed killer a third less than I paid for same product a few days before.
C. S.
Good for stationery and everyday grocery requirements. But specialists in home repair and decorative collections.
E. M.
Nice parking place if you visit Swindon Town FC. Park up to 4 hrs. Stadium only 10 min. walk. Buy some snacks in the shop and move on.
R. B.
It's always hot in this shop, there's always a queue at the tills, I guess this is how they try to offer bargains. I feel sorry for the staff.
S. W.
First time I have ever come here and it has a lot of things for a first home or even just to update your current home. You can get your kitchen fitted here and also get the outside barbecue sorted too with a decent seating area.
G. S.
Great shop, can get anything in here. Friendly staff and good parking
P. B.
Although the shop is fine I went in to go to Iceland, the problem was that becauyit was Sunday they open at ten but don’t open the tills until 10.30 ( which I forgot )
And there was this woman who kept making announcements telling people this and she had the microphone so close to her mouth you had a job to understand her.
I. H.
Popped into the Range for a look around,it’s the ideal place to go to for something for the home. They have a wide range of household goods arranging from pictures to bits of furniture, plus all the other bits and pieces that you will need.Had a cuppa and a bite to eat in DeeDees cafe which is upstairs in the store,it’s a bit basic,no salad with my panini but it was quite nice.we bought a lovely picture to go on the wall in our living room at a very good price, this shop is well worth a look around.
M. C.
Consistently good prices, particularly on this occasion, for venetian blinds.
D. W.
Prices are cheap and the staff are friendly and well stocked store. With free parking who could not be happy. There is an Iceland in-store as well
S. V.
The DIY section has essentially everything you would need for everyday problems but, I would suggest to look elsewhere for any networking supplies. I asked a few staff members and they said they unfortunately lack many products in that area. Overall, a very good store to shop in general for other products. The new addition of Iceland has also mad the store much more convenient.
A. H.
Very annoyed to discover the plastic bags for packaging handmade cards are the wrong size. They fit the cards tightly so the envelopes won't go in!!
S. C.
This place is wonderful to buy all your home items. Only problem is it’s very hot in here during summers.
L. G.
Good selection of goods for everyone pleased with the items I purchased .
N. D.
Friendly helpful staff, layout is easy to navigate to where you need, there is a lift to the upper floor making it disabled friendly. Plenty of parking close to the entrance
m. t.
Plenty to choose from, decorating, bathroom, kitchen ware, gardening, furniture and lighting, kids stuff and a small cafe. Prices are not too bad
P. M.
Always a large selection of household and garden goods at good prices, have also done online orders collected in store.
Does get busy at weekends so parking can sometimes be an issue.
Felt a little unsafe during covid as they were not restricting numbers.
R. A.
Great shop with all the products you could need. Iceland in store too and Clearpay accepted here.
H. A.
nice choice of products, some are good quality, some not. It would have four or five starts except going through the tills is a painfully slow proceedure and the staff have poor costomer skills.
D.
Range is a place where you can get every thing you need at home. wide variety of home decor furnishings and small essentials we need for us
a. g.
Crowded aisles, not conducive to relaxed shopping and didn't have everything I was looking for
B. M.
Go in to pick up a couple of things and end up buying a load of stuff you never knew you wanted.
T. C.
The best all round craft, garden and homewards store in Swindon. Everything you could think of under on roof even frozen food
D. S.
Good sizes large store. Can be very messy and all over the place so much so the people doing the restocking, won't know where anything is.
R. S.
Average store for the home appliances. Limited availability on limited range. Hope they will expand more in the future for the products selection.
K. B.
I enjoyed looking at the range today,
Plenty to choose from at a reasonable price, friendly staff helpful, quick simple queueing paying and away, thank you range swindon keep up the good work
S. Q.
Brilliant mix of cut price food and everything else from kayaking to camping.
l. B.
Lift not working no way of taking your trolley upstairs, quite expensive for the quality of the products
G. C.
Very good for a vast selection of home goods.
Better than most in Swindon.
#garystribe
D. E.
Good mix of products . Toilet by the cafe has disappeared?!
T. E. (.
Good store with lots of products. Not always what you are after but still a good choice at reasonable prices
r. r.
Great service, wonderful atmosphere & ambience, the staff are a real credit, really helpful & polite, brilliant 😊👌🏾
T. H.
A brilliant shop only let down is they need to update where there items are as spent ages looking for what we wanted to purchase and signs were sending us to the wrong lanes
L. M.
All you need to keep the wife entertained 😂
B. A.
The Missus loves spending my money here :)
A. O.
I love this shop they have everything what you need and it's not soooo expensive
S. W.
Didn't have item in stock but got one from another branch and arrive by 3:30 same day👍
S. N.
Always queues but massive amount of stock and good pricing
S. S.
Great range if products. Tills always slow paced
C. B.
Great offers. Lots of garden plants. Art materials are good.
a. m.
Reasonable brices, have everything you might need but cashiers are not the best. Some of them are though.
N. O.
Great shop for home decor, crafting, hobbies, and they have an Iceland in store as well.
L. C.
One can pick alot many things at reasonable rates ...da name Range suits perfectly...
V.
I have find an excellent jacket! Great
T. M.
Hadn't been here for a while and I loved it. Even has a bit of Iceland stuff in now too. Highly recommended.
M. T.
Very busy but plenty of staff on duty and had all the tills open so minimal queuing time to pay. Wide aisles so didn't feel cramped. Usual wide range of stock at cheap prices.
D. B.
Very good and handy as sell different stuff
H. N. L.
Can usually get all you want in there, garden section great. New food section. Lots of stock being put out recently so store a little cluttered but looked liked having a shuffle around.
P. P.
Got what we wanted always great items in the shop
C. N.
Good choice of bargain buys. I like the stationary selection. I noticed they have an Iceland in store now too.
D. P.
Awesome store for all shopping 🛍️💸
Specially home decor
S. C.
Pleasant to walk around browse only went one thing but came out with a handful
M. S.
It's big, it has a bizarre range of products, a coffee bar and loos upstairs. And you can buy hunting bows and fireworks. For some reason.
J. G.
A very good store with lot of items ranging from DIY, Home, Kitchen, Garden, stationery, decorations and many more. I was looking for foil balloons for my daughter's birthday but was disappointed with lack of stock for a particular number. I particularly liked the numerous collection of home decorative items
f. 1.
Nice selection of goods for a range Iceland also inside could do with a lock of paint prices as expected will pop in again when in the area can get everything you could want camping gardening decorating household furniture the list goes on
T. B.
Always a really great range of products at some good pricing. Today 12/12/21, super busy. Generally not a long wait at checkout.
M. P.
Really good for random bits and pieces that you need. Not really the fault of the store, but there was absolutely no social distancing from other customers on my last visit. The staff had to remind customers over the speakers but it is probably not as crowded at other times in the day.
J. J.
Huge range of pretty much everything for home, pets, gifts- massive shop, good parking and good prices. Easy to get to. I often buy my art materials there. Great craft section for kids too.
S.
Full of every arts and crafts, gardening, home decor, grocery shopping and diy item you could ever need. Got ear defenders, glow in the dark stickers and a fat quarter of fabric. Love it.
A. S. (.
Poor selection of solar powered garden ornaments in stock.
Long queues, even though they tannoyed for till trained staff there were only 3 tills open.
Couldn't use Iceland bonus card.
The shelves close to the queue were too close together for perusal.
t. r.
I like this shop. You found everything.
l. k.
Just needed a pair of nail clippers. Friendly and helpful staff
j.
Good place with lots of variety and prices for all
M. L.
Good shop what more can I say
K. G.
Have a really good range of products, prices are reasonable. Service at tills can be a tad slow
M. P. K.
We love shopping at the Range as it has plenty of gift items, household essentials and kitchenwares. Would definitely recommend anyone visiting as family.
A. P.
It was quite busy but they managed the tills well.
I. C.
Very nice product and a good quality for money
E. B.
Very good , except what I wanted ,they have only display ones and don't no when they get any ,it was a trip pod lamp ,do disappointed ,I asked if I could buy display ,no was the swift reply ,,
L. M.
A good place to shop plenty of variety at a reasonable price.
It has a small garden center also now has a mini Iceland section.
Currently you have to queue a little while but worth it.
B. C.
I only went in for a tea strainer but came out with a shopping bag full. The store has been refitted and the ranges extended including an Iceland. The staff were kind and helpful. Thoroughly recommend this store.
G. J.
It's a good Range. It is quite large and is always well stocked for what it holds. It is a little bit crazy, and quite dirty. The staff get through the que quite quickly but customer service is definitely not at the top of their list.
T. S.
Loved the store. It has a great selection. We enjoy our coffee and cake in small cafe upstairs. Toilets clean. We also come out with items we were after and more. The prices are very good. Staff friendly. Loads of parking outside.
P. J.
Always spend way too long queuing to pay. Considering that we are in the middle of a pandemic, probably need more fully staffed tills, and less shop floor staff!
M. C.
I like having a look around, lots of lovely things for home decor. But it does get very busy at times. So difficult to social distance in some areas.
M. L.
I found it to be like a day out. There was so much to see and do. It's the most fun I have had since lockdown. Thank you The Range.
G. B.
Good place if you want to decorate your home . Not so good when it comes to displaying prices for the products on the shelf. I had to ask the price for 4 different products and i ended up at the cashier asking the price. I can only give 4 stars .
F. D.
I found exactly what I needed for cleaning and got some nice Italian Pizzas and chocolate brownie from the Iceland section. I recognised prices of cleaning products were 50% higher than Asda I visited later that day.
S. B.
Went in looking for wallpaper to decorate my sons bedroom.
Very happy with the paper we bought, very good quality, hanging was relatively easy and not all that expensive.
My only gripe was that some of the layout didn't make sense as it took me ages to locate the wallpaper paste because it was put in a random place!
R. S.
If you want a place to get materials for art and craft, garden plants, furniture, kids toys and DIY this is the page to go!! Its basically your go to Home improvement store. I never get disappointed when I go there with family and we spend a minimum of 1hr as the goods are so enticing. The parking is good as well even though it is shared with Halford. It is a walkable distance from town (10mins) if on the bus. So I'd recommend this place absolutely 💯!!
D. R.
It's certainly filled with many interesting and useful items, but since the merge with Iceland, other previously enjoyable areas and items are no longer for sale. This is somewhat decreased the shopping experience.
M. L.
Excellent service staff member went out
Of her way to locate a product I was looking for after initially thinking that they did not stock it. Great price as well.
I. O.
I have 3 shops which I enjoy shopping and The Range is one of them. I never leave without buying something. I always find something which I need.
D. L.
it is a big store located in Fleming way in Swindon, it is over 2 floors. it sells a huge range of items from D.i.y to garden furniture also some clothing, and toys and games, arts and crafts in fact just about any thing you can think of ,also located within the store is a small Iceland store, also next door to the range you have Halfords car shop also there is plenty of free parking
S. H.
Huge!!! Although I was disappointed by the range of decorative items there was 2 or 3 different themes and all of similar colour (pink and grey), however it does have everything you need providing you're going in for basic items.
T. S.
Great place to find what you need
S. C.
Had everything and more. They have a great range of toiletries and household cleaners etc. They also do lots of pets food and accessories. DIY including wallpaper and soft furnishings. I found everything and more that I wanted. Very good layout and staff were very helpful. Cafe is nice and reasonable.
M. C.
There is plenty of free parking available, this is with a time limit.
I found everything I wanted, I required a picture frame, birthday card and decorating supplies.
They had a good Halloween and Christmas displays.
R. O.
Awesome, you will get what you want. And you are able to see what you want to buy. No return postage like with other wholesalers. No time wasted. Top star.
I. B. (.
The store was a bit dirty and there was a severe lack of stock in the Iceland section of the store. It seems Brexit is rapidly destroying the UK supply chain!
T. A.
Love a browse round here. This store has decent parking unless at peak times. Have to say they seem to be a little slow in restocking and layout following Xmas and new year and a few empty shelves over the past two weeks detract from the store. Otherwise there are usually soom bargains to be had and costs generally lower than many on the high St including the supermarkets.
J. G.
No Ques store still a work in progress stock levels better than a few weeks ago lots of stock on pallets around the store .needs attention to detail as always lots of products around no price ticket. Also needs either staff directing you to location of products or signs directing you to correct location of products otherwise You you start where it was and try and find it yourself.think store going to look good when it's finished
A. P.
Always a great place to shop, no matter what your looking for. New furniture, arts and crafts, kitchen ware, garden equipment? The Range has got it.
Preferable to avoid on a Saturday as the queues can be very long, but other than that the shop is great.
D. H.
The joy of a pink light up plastic castle!
N. J.
I have visited the megastore multiple times. You can get items for house decoration, tools, bedding clothes, quilts and blankets, bikes, electric items, light bulbs, etc.from here. Close to spring garden the store has easy accessibility via public transport. There is a parking as well if you are coming with your vehicle.
A. S.
This place is always a treat to visit. It's a great value and the ideas to decorate or DIY or gardening or for some creative building it's my go to choice. The designs are not just stylish but very reasonably priced to give your project a neat look.
A. C.
Lots of moves inside during Covid. Hobby crafts on the mezzanine floor now also have Iceland in store. Purchased a large picture frame for £7.99 with glass, better price and not plastic screen than another retail park shoWp.
S. S.
The Range has improved over the year. The staff are considerably more knowledgeable and approachable. Finding things is still relatively difficult without the intervention of the team members though. Swindon site is tidy and clean and overall really good "value" as a store. Knocked a star off, as the on-site cafe was far from clean and tidy, plus the prices do not reflect the rest of the stores value approach but the quality provided does, with things being done to a tight budget.
H. B.
I really appreciate that they have customer toilets!!!!
This place has been a bit of an Aladin's cave for me. I love gardening and crafing and they sell lots of things to do with both these hobbies. I also have dogs and can get stuff for them here too!!! I would highly recommend this place!!!
D. P.
A complete range of merchandise from car parts and tools to furniture and art supplies. At reasonable prices. The old adage of you get what you pay for, could be said to be true but there are many item that you will find here that are real value for money.
M. L.
Surprisingly quiet this morning, with lots of staff to help with any queries. The place was relatively tidy too, with plenty of work going on prepping for Halloween.
G. S.
Brilliant range of goods to choose from I got drawing and art stuff this time. Also got two very nice large sport water bottles for only £2.49 each and two large bags of sweet and salty popcorn for £1. Very good shop to browse for almost anything.
N. S. H.
Shop has plenty of bits and pieces, sort of a posh version of B&M. Furniture is better quality and garden furniture is also better. Only downside is the fact that you almost end up gagging because it always stinks of curry as soon as you walk through the door, why? And it has done for the last few visits I have made there?
L. T.
Car parking on site. Easy access for wheelchairs. Good range of stock. Now with Iceland in store it has become more of a one stop shop
A. M.
A great Range Store. With an extensive range of products. It even has a garden centre attached. You can find almost anything you need! Staff are helpful and polite. Ample parking in the carpark and very centrally located.
C. G.
Went with Bae and was pleasantly surprised. There was a nice selection of random items and it was very entertaining for a while. After I'd had a good look round decided to try and have some healthy food, which I found. If you need to buy some random stuff, this is definitely the place to go.
A. s.
I think all in all its a good enough store, though they used to have alot more DIY items, I went in recently with confidence that the range would stock the items I required but unfortunately I found close to nothing to suit my needs.
I rate the store 4 stars as previously they have stocked alot more items and this visit may have not been so good from the impact of covid-19.
C.
The Range has been updated and has even more sections within store. Even has an Iceland area.
Checkout staff could be a little more friendlier.
Was a little more difficult to see which cashier was available as plastic dividers are not clear but rippled.
T. S.
Store seems to of got better. Not sure about the Iceland concession thou. Still a problem with queues at the tills sometimes so bad I just turn round and not bother.
O. H.
Extraordinary place that seems to sell almost everything. Good value for pet stuff and homeware... Gets super busy at peak times do go early. Staff member I asked for help did not speak good English so wasn't very helpful as she didn't understand me. No obvious sign of management either.
S. W.
It's good plenty of things
A. G.
Good shop, only one criticism they display alot of items that never seem to be in stock or not for long.
M. N.
Best store in the area you can find all that you need. Lots of choices n staff are happy to help
S. D.
Have to admit, it is hard not to like the Range. Great location. Loads of stuff. Good prices. Excellent craft section. Good (and free) parking.
They lose a star only for the queues at the tills.
K. G.
You always get what you want here
E. W.
Great place to get crafty thing, good prices and well set out so you can find what you want.
Only problem I have found is in the summer they don't have air con so they use fans which were basically blowing hot air around.
Also pretty hit and miss with the staff, some are really lovely and some are the complete opposite and won't even acknowledge you.
A. C.
This is a really great place to get a variety of things for your home. They have anything from curtains and bed linen to hot tubs and plants for the garden. All at very reasonable prices, and parking is free. They have a café serving lunches and afternoon tea and cakes.
J. G.
It was ok branch of the Range. Very chaotic inside and the assistant I asked help from didn't seem to know the layout of the store particularly well as she sent me to the wrong section of the store.
K. D.
Definitely a place to go if you want arts and craft bits, home and kitchen ware. They look like they have most things in there. Good place to check out if you want something for creating or your home.
I. W.
Great place
Fantastic garden centre
D. M.
Has everything under one roof. And great value for money! Having Iceland within the shop is even better kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
A.
Good selection of bits. Also has Iceland inside so good touch. Nice garden centre. Can get really busy at Christmas
A. w.
Been to better range stores
A. T.
Usual good selection of all home needs. Went on 6th December 2020 and they were geared up with sanitisers etc for Covid, but Christmas lights just about sold out.
S. S.
A whole range of things to grab your attention in here,at very good prices. It is so good you can spend several hours browsing, however, beware, the carpark has a 3 hour limit. So, if you go over the three hours let the staff know to prevent a parking fine!
H. E.
Wide selection of homeware, art supplies and outdoor furniture with a small cafe upstairs (can be accessed by a lift). Staff aren’t exactly mad about the ‘customer experience’ but are quite helpful and will carry heavy products to your car should you ask.
A. S.
Some bargains on products you know but some cheap tat too. Overall handy they stay open late when in need of something & a large choice.
Plant section has healthy plants and value pots
J. R.
Great store and good prices. They sell everything.
M. H.
A very full 'Range' of art, crafts, DIY, household and garden goods. A good cafe sadly on the upper floor up a very steep staircase. The lift is often broken down, which is the reason I've marked it down to only 3 stars.
B. R. N. N.
Always love going to a Range and this one is great! It's a great size with loads of different products from furniture to pet supplies! Always love their home furnishings I could spend Thousands! 5⭐
M. S.
The place was busy, queue long and people were 'squashed', but went down smoothly.
Wide range of stock items and not expensive. Definitely great for Christmas shopping! 🎄
W. H.
Great for shopping or just browsing
S. W.
Great quality products, perfect place for a variety lover and every item top your expectations, bit overpriced in some section but will definitely get value for what you pay!
Furniture, lightning, kitchen, home decoration, textile, tool & hardware, office & school stationery, outdoor, toys, art & craft, sections along with perfect garden centre and in store cafe.
N. T.
Wide range of goods - from pet food to diy tools and equipment to household goods/supplies, garden furniture, camping gear. Great for art and craft supplies too. Reasonable prices. Well worth a browse.
J. R. B.
Practically everything you need for house, home, hobby and garden. I just wish they sold TINNED cat food, not just those silly little pouches with their non-recyclable packaging. Tinned food is much cheaper the tins are recyclable. Range, take note!!
V.
Love the products. However customer service needs to be improved. There never seems to be enough staff at the c. Service desk or tills there knowledge on products can be limited.
The customer isn't always there priority.
Good opening hours if you work shifts
m. l.
Used to love shopping here, but now the selection seems limited and very cramped now Iceland are there
E. S.
Useful store in a good location. There are often good deals to have here. The range has a good range of items including paint and wallpaper. They sell animal food and accessories. There garden section is pretty good to. They do have a small cafe which sell limited food and some is very nice and others are pretty cooked and just heated. But a good stoping place with a car park outside there is also a Halfords next door. You should find what you are looking for here and you can also click and collect I believe. I have not tried it personally.
I. S.
Do I need to be a great day to be honest
D. S.
Timed patrolled parking about 90 minutes maximum free is usually adequate but a fixed penalty fine voucher is applied to vehicle thereafter. Large variety of crafting garden home pets and toys products and a café and toilets are in store. A big Halfords store shares the same car park.
J. W.
I had to pick up some essentials last week and the staff were ensuring that everybody adhered to the social distancing rules with a reminder on the way in and clear markings on the floor. This is a safe place to shop.
D. W.
So much stuff I could add to the embarrassing excess I already have. I'd like to see an in store councilling service for people, like me, who have 'enough' already. It can't go on much longer, can it?
Good parking, nice happy staff, great range. Emporium.
R. E.
Great 'Range' of products.
M. C. (.
It's got lots of things to choose from and has an Iceland inside, however when I visited they were changing stock around and it was a mess, isles were blocked with trollies.
D. S.
Definitely a place to visit. A wide variety of household goods, including kitchen ware, electrical items, stationery, books, picture frames, mirrors to name but a few. Helpful staff, wide aisles and majority of items within easy reach. Popular with visitors.
T. M.
Wide selection of items like a woolies used to be. Can get really busy and the isles are not the widest but it's one of my go to destinations for arts n craft stuff and christmas decorations.
H. S.
Good place to buy groceries to stock up, but will have lesser choice as compared to other marts. Some of the products are not branded but specifically brought packaged for Aldi. Aldi is a well known German low cost, but you will be able to pick quite a number of stuff cheaper.
E. S.
Lots of stuff and great christmas goodies but the coffee shop leaves a lot to be desired, no bacon, no hot chocolate so no mocha either. But shop is good anyway.
K. P.
Very busy! Small aisles, hard to social distance. However the new till system is great and makes queueing less confusing now
K.
They have everything we needed after just moving into a new home... The website often says the item has to be ordered but they nearly always have it in the shop...
The prices are great, staff are smily and helpful, parking is free and lots of space even on busy weekends...worth a visit...
D. s.
Interior furniture collections were less.
J. M.
I love this shop. Though I don't go there as often as I'd like to. I use a mobility scooter, and it is hard for me to get up some isles. Or if I do get up them, to get out the other end. This is due to baskets, or stands, with random items in, being placed on the corners of the isle's! The staff are always good and helpful. LOL plus never complain when I've tried to get somewhere and wrecked a display! I still find it frustrating though.
C. A. A.
This shop has everything. When I Need something and wonder where to get it from the range is the first place I think of. The craft section in this place is to die for if, like me, you really enjoy art and crafts you could spend hours here
a. l.
Easily kit out a new home... everything you might need in one place plus pet and garden supplies. Also lots of hobby materials.
D. E.
Practically everything you need under one roof and the coffee shop is good. Prices are reasonable. Staff could look more happy and willing to help!!
S. S.
Staff aren’t the most friendly. It’s a shame as there’s often a bargain to be had. Staff training is needed and a slight clean to the shop.
A. D.
A massive selection of household items on sale and now comes with a little Iceland store as well for the odd milk-eggs&bread run
G. S.
Absolutely hectic, they struggled to cope at the tills during busy periods, now they have Iceland in store. I think I'll give it a miss until January.
D. S.
As the name suggests a good range of household, garden, toys and crafts. Way too messy and far too many unpacked boxes to trip over. Prices fair but needs a good clean up
R. R.
Cheap and cheerful with a good... ahem... range of items available.
Excellent arts and crafts selection.
Staff are a mixed lot; sometimes friendly, sometimes sour. Often ask for your postcode, which is annoying. Although the parking is free for the first two hours, I'd wager you could reasonably expect a parking charge through the post if you overstay your welcome and don't let them know.
The best part of the location is that it's right next door to Halfords, so you can stroll next door when the wife is taking a bit long deciding on the right material from their rather extensive range of fabrics.
C. T.
You'll find some decent deals here for homewears, stationary, sweets, plants and more.
Quite a few items are decent brands, obviously not high end ones, but good value for money like Curver (for bins & baskets).
There's a section in stationary for creative stuff to buy for your kids.
Upstairs has a cafe too.
A. C.
A place where some of the shopping (DIY) can be completed, I found some products are expensive and some products are reasonable. Garden department need more varieties. Also, plants taking lot of time to grow even with good sun and other feeds
A. V.
Superstore with some items way more reasonable than the stores around. Has an amazing collection in crafts and home decor sections. Accompanying large parking!
B. R.
Good crafts store...Iceland store inside is convenient...kids school supplies are available
D. H.
Would have been 5 stars but the lift was out of order, so unable to go up to the arts and crafts that I wanted, being in a wheelchair. Disappointed.
V. B.
Great shop, such h a wide range of products. Was looking for the game scrabble, it was showing in stock on the website, butvthe store had no board games, asked a member of staff and she didn't know what scrabble was!
D. M.
Not bad
t. s.
Amazing store with so much variety of items. If you need car bulbs buy them here not only you get the bulb you want but you get many more for your seven pounds well spent here than?
M. W.
Lots of good items
G. C.
I queued for 15 minutes at the front desk by the tills where it says Collect, to be told the click and collect service is upstairs . The Range needs to change its signage at the front desk .
S. B.
The store is covid safe but the same can't be said for all the customers who seem to forget about the 2 metre space between customers when they get near to the tills
A. N.
There's a lot packed into this store and seems you can find almost anything you're looking for. It's a bit of a tardis.
The other thing is its not all cheap and tacky either which is nice. A wide cross section of goods available.
M. E.
Very helpful assistant in the motoring department. When no stock of antifreeze on shelf, he looked to see if the was any in the back, and when none ther he advised me of the nearest alternatine place to buy antifreeze. Perfect service.
L. J.
As always plenty to choose from, we'll set out good distancing and great helpful staff.
C. H.
Great shop only thing a lot of the goods didn't have prices on so you had to guess
A. B.
Now has Iceland in there, its a bit messy regarding the layout of the whole shop excluding the Iceland area, it needs redesigning. But it's a good shop with a lot of useful things.
T. C.
Went to try to get a gazebo, but all summer stock was gone, I could buy plenty of Christmas stuff though, as they already had a Christmas aisle.
In the end I went up the Halloween aisle and purchased a manikin.
N. F.
Good range of products at excellent prices. Today, I bought a 2.4m wooden curtain pole with 2 ring-top voile panels for less than £45.
A. T.
First visit to a The Range store which did look a bit tired from the outside. Peeling paint on the canopy Not very well laid out inside but impressed with the vast amount of products they stock.
D. S.
Good selection (range 😉) of products. Staff generally really helpful and prices are very competitive. Online ordering isn't the simplest service as delivery details are vague. Would recommend talking to staff in store to get relevant information.
A. R.
Loads if stuff to buy but isles are too narrow and there were too many people in the store. No control of number if people in the shop
Y. Y.
Great range of products at a great price. Really is a shop for all (*most) things. Staff are very polite and professional. The store is kept clean and tidy, and the products are kept well stocked and organised.
S. B.
Very long queue to get in, very very busy inside the store, long queues at tills, a lot of shelves empty, staff in the artificial flowers section stacking shelves is very rude and clearly very unhappy about being there, on the positive side most staff working very hard and very helpful considering the present conditions, fair pricing
D. B.
Good selection of goods, free parking and a friendly service in the coffee shop. The range is a useful shop for craft items, wedding bits, home brewing, kitchen bits picture frames and mirrors.
L. H.
Bit hit or miss but love their Christmas selection and garden furniture
N.
Very busy place , has mostly everything you need. Only problem we found was finding mouldy dog treats ( Pigs ears). spoke to one the staff, she wasn't too bothered!
D. F.
Wasn't sure about this place at first but surprised as they have a lot of stock and I invariably find what I want. It's worth a visit for miscellaneous DIY items before jumping on Amazon. Parking ok.
K. G.
Busy place. I did not realise they have a full range of frozen food at prices equal or cheaper than B&M, Farmfood etc.
S. R.
I get my craft stuff from here, excellent quality and price, excellent customer service, would recommend to everyone, there's always something here for everyone aswell, brilliant!
S. D.
One stop shop for all your needs....a bit pricy...but the quality of the product is good.
T. B.
Pretty good as a cheapy shop goes! Can get most things from there from mirrors to pet food with a cafe inside for a coffee too.pretty good prices as far as prices go not everything is the cheapest you can find it but not to far off.
J. E.
Got a wide range of products value for money savings everywhere. Bulbs are a little expensive compared with other discount stores but cheaper than a garden centre
D. H.
Person below complaining about parking charges and having to watch the clock......there are signs all around the store stating that if you give your car reg in at any till you will not get a parking charge, regular tangy announcements are also done to inform you. The car park is not owned by the range, so the store has no control over the parking regulations. Also please if anyone has and positive or negative comments about the store or the staff fill out a customer form at customer services, without this praise or change cannot happen.
C. V.
The Covid Marshal needs further training in meeting and greeting. A cordial ' good morning' goes a long way, rather than just barking orders at people when they arrive.
M. M.
Really good range of product at a fair price from DIY to garden, home furnishings to paint, pictures, mirrora arts and crafts, pets needs actually the list is endless but the one thing to remember the customer service is nonexistent once u finish the sensor overload of shopping u could be at the till ages and the staff must be so depressed they never smile or interact
s. p.
A bit of a hodgepodge in a way but quite good value hodgepodge! I wanted a new door bell and found one here. The Range offers a large range (pun intended). So worth a visit if you are nearby.
A. C.
Use the range for the Iceland that is now inside!
b.
Good variety of products. Cafe is ok, staff could be a bit more approachable and smile but apart from that, you can get most things you need here.
K. R.
Love the Range, always find good bargains and great items
C. H.
Great place to buy buy most things House pet and garden and frozen food from the instore Iceland. Avoid at weekends
J. W.
I love the range. Has an assorted stock from arts and crafts, home economics and home making, aquarium and pet equipment, DIY, furniture. Well worth a look.
R. L.
It's only 4th September, first day back at local schools and already the Christmas Decorations are coming out!!!
Do like the Range, mostly get all my pet stuff but the staff are so rude and very unhelpful. Needs training in Customer Service.
N.
There is a great range of products to cater for everyone and the staff are lovely and couldn't do enough to help
B. R.
My current needs clashed with the season - staff were putting out Christmas stock, so there was less of the stuff that I went in for.
R. S.
Great place to pick up whatever you might need. Free parking (shared with Halfords) is a bonus too. Give yourselves time to browse as there's a lot to see!
P. W.
An interesting mixture of furniture and home products. Not to mention plants and shrubs, pet food and accessories, a lighting section and a section devoted to crafts and art. There's much more too. #gardening #art #diy #furniture
M. G.
So much choice, everything for each room on your home. Also a great range of Garden, Pet, DIY, Craft & seasonal products. I love the Range!!
D. J. D.
There were a lot of great items at good prices and all the different departments provide everything that you will need to decorate and furnish your property
D. J.
2 hour parking limit but you can shop till you drop really. The cafe inside is worth a visit. Marked down due to location being away from any other point of interest in the town.
S. C.
They kept us queuing for 20 minutes in the freezing cold. Plenty of people coming out - literally nobody going in. Lady in front of us had to ring their office to say let us in!!!!
p. g.
Very good shop with convenient location and big carpark. Easy access to town centre. Always good range of products in affordable prices. Great Xmas shopping spot!
T. C.
Good shop lots of parking and loads of products.
G. D.
Lots of choice for the home and garden great prices and helpful staff
C. P.
I would just like to say that this is a fantastic place if you just want to get a few items for shopping and parking is free and it's nice and friendly with friendly people and it won't so why don't you go down there and then you can share your positive experiences with people on Google its great for all sorts of people and you can get anything you really want and it won't bust your wallet it is not that expensive
I. B.
Found exactly what I needed (table). Strange thing is you cannot have the display model so 7-10 day lead time but can go on the website and order for next day delivery provided you pay a delivery charge.
K. B.
Looking for Christmas Dec's etc. Masses there and reasonably priced
A. T.
Great for the garden centre they have but not only that I spend hours browsing new things they have in store my wallet always comes out as tho its on a diet 😁
J. P.
Great stuff in there unfortunately one of the pillows I bought broke so that takes the 5th star away. Also the shop is a little bit expensive for things that shouldn't be.
D. O.
Great range of products at reasonable prices and a decent cafe aswell. There can be queues at the tills but overall, not bad. Free parking.
S. I. S.
Good selection good prices. Staff pleasant but not exactly customer focused at till as made to feel inconvenient interruption by try to pay on last 3 visits
M. B.
Normaly a good selection and good stock levels. However often very busy and slow tills. friendly staff though.
E. T. R. L.
Excellent range of home stuff; efficient and quick tills. Good parking.
J. B.
One of the best Range stores I've ever been in
D. C.
Very busy and not enough staff on the tills so quite a que and wait
I. C.
All manner of bits'n'bobs available.
g. W.
Went in for car oil lot cheaper than next door they pretty much have everything good prices
D. A.
place of a thousand and one utilities haha everything can be found at great prices ;)
N. P.
Great prices and choice of items..the garden centre is of a really high stsndard snc eould put many a dedicated garden centre to shame. They have a good safe and excellent free parking. What a great shop..one of my favourite places dealt in Swindon...well worth a visit.
S. A.
Went upstairs to look at sofas. We wanted one for the conservatory. We were fed up with cane furniture, so we were shown over to the desk, we're a member of staff took our order. Downstairs to costumer service desk, where we paid for a three seater sofa.
Afterwards went back around the store at Christmas decorations.
S. C.
Great store with brilliant arts and crafts section, a thing that is a bit scarce these days. Cheap stuff but attractive and varied household gear.
C. D.
So much to choose from and okay the till situation isn't great but they should employ more People for the checkouts but the garden area is fantastic also they sell stuff for D.I.Y.
W. D.
This shop needs 4 floors!
I have never seen so much stock on 1 floor!
Could I get a electric coolbox? NO!
Could I get a electric coolbox 12v adapter next door NO!
C. R.
Great shop, got everything I needed. Sadly the the member of staff I spoke too was off hand and not very helpful when we were looking for an item.
W. W.
Everything you need in one place . Definitely wear a mask though . The place was packed
L. A.
A favourite shop of ours.
Good quality and good prices
A. P.
Great place to purchase a variety of stuff. As the name suggests, you will find a range of products such as animal food, craft items , hardware tools , etc
A. B.
Great shop. Has everything you need
F. P.
On this occasion the staff were incredibly helpful and polite aiding me in all the queries I had (and there were many) prompt service and even though the display prices were wrong I was served correctly by Ralph the customer services manager
P. P.
Lots of stuff to buy here. Quite tightly packed shopping space though.
R. M. L. C. V.
They sell absolutely everything you could possibly want but I still think a lot of the stuff is very tacky and just bought from China
C. T.
Usual range of stuff but is s big store. We'll worth a visit
H. B.
Is a fantastic store to visit with a massive range of different products. I have recently purchased one of the 5pounds USB desk fan and it has been brillant so far:)
A. J.
Massive selection of home accessories. Love the range of photo frames and mirrors. Also has a large selection of arts and crafts.
D. P.
Great store, can always find some good items and every time I've been in the staff have been so lovely.
Z. A. D.
Great prices but staff is not helpful and are rude. Items has missing price quite often.
K. A.
Easy parking, good range of items, now has a Iceland store so saves going into town
S. J.
Very difficult to find anything as the shop is just sooo packed! Didn't notice much distancing either.
A. G.
Lot's of different items for sale, not seen in other shops. Now selling water sports item's.
M. H.
Fairly large range, small garden centre. Cheap store with lots of general stuff. It has a coffee shop that is not good at all.
B. P.
Great range of products great prices, but not enough tills and store looks a bit grubby is some areas( bedding for one )
R. C.
It's really good to shop on a budget. However I wish things were more organised.
G. B.
It's ok as a store for home stuff, hobby and crafts but every time I come in I walk out empty handed, prices are not as competitive as B&M or Home Bargains and the quality of products seems to be poor.
G. S.
One too many price tags missing. Checkout staff seemed low moral which may indicate poor team management or feeling under valued. Probably both.
D. T.
Plenty of stock to chose from with so many areas covered, especially a very useful DIY area.
K. B.
Be very careful when parking, if you over stay you'll be fined...check the signage, if you do get fined for being there longer then 2 hours tell the people on the customer services that you intend staying in store, if you can prove it with in-store receipts make sure you you forward them with the parking notice instructions
J. G.
Very nice shop a lot of things to look at staff friendly
D. M.
This place just keeps getting better! Great range of Halloween and Christmas stock in now, plus a firework stall for Guy Fawkes! Great quality and prices.
J. R.
An always surprising array of goods. Quality average but prices are cheap so that's ok.
J. S.
The female staff upstairs were absolutely amazing when we asked for chairs but the lady on checkout was the Same as the rest of UNSOCIABLE SWINDON
N. B.
Great range of products. Reasonable prices. Definitely reccomend taking a look.
M. &. M. S.
Love the range. This store is a great took off one star as some of the staff are basically thick not their fault though they haven't been trained in how to deal with the public.
N. W.
They will have something you want in here.. covers just about everything from pets to camping usually low quality cheap stuff but that's why you came to the range. 😉
V. *.
Cleaning product range is limited, other than that - great store to visit for some artistic inspiration.
B. S.
Quite busy ,4 tills open. Lady at the customer service desk definitely didn't like to be at work ...
J. B.
Really good variety of items for all sorts of needs. I come in for arts and crafts stuff, food, car care, gardening items etc. The staff are friendly and helpful.
A. G.
Excellent customer service & loads of variety with household goods. I was surprised at the amount of DIY materials being sold. Great value
n.
This is a great place to find anything and everything
Like the old woolies
Only reason I gave it 4 stars is the parking and only one entrance and exit.
But overall good ,friendly staff.
C. S.
A vast array of products for sale with a cafe upstairs. Prices are generally cheaper than competitors but not always. Shares a car park with Halfords.
D. H.
Great place to pick up a bargain also has Iceland inside store so makes it even better.
P. G.
Sadly didn't get what I needed ...Thought they stocked everything...but it was an ok trip
E. L.
Good shop, often come here for bits for our home - had a couple of items which weren’t the best quality but you get what you pay for!
C. G.
Always go here for Pic n Mix, 1.99 a cup, it's a bargain. Does offer lots of other items, can find nice items along with bargains.
A. M.
We call it the shop that sells everything and it really does ...came home yesterday with a brand new hot tub for cheaper than anywhere we could find it online 😀
B.
Amazing! They have everything from Pet food to art supplies and everything in between like bedding, picture frames and much more!
J. 6.
Reasonably good choice of garden plants which seem well cared for compared to some garden centres in the area and cheaper too. Can find some bargains around the rest of the store too.
k. c.
Not a bad shop bit a lot of stuff is always out of stock and some days the parking is terrible. There is nothing in range that you can't getin b&m cheaper
M. Z.
Superb for Christmas items and Halloween. The other items stocked are good quality for a reasonable price. The staff can be rude at times though...
R.
Good shop, but sometimes hard to find exactly what you're looking for
V. D.
Good shopping experience. Cafe needs to stock more variety though. They make a great hot chocolate.
C. B.
Good choice good value nice and light..watch out for parking fines. Can't enjoy shopping as always watching the clock parking parking parking . Not even time for coffee..
For christ sake range..are you on commission??
..
P. B.
So much choice and very reasonably priced. Coffee shop serves great coffee with 2 shots (yay) and selection of nibbles.
J. W.
Picked up some great bits for the house and the kids bought some little bits with pocket money, cafe is nice but really slow service. And prepare for it to be busy.
S.
Huge!!! Has everthing you could possibly need. All that great prices aswell.
S. G.
Great shop! You can find there almost everything
N. S.
Long queues inside & out is like nobody is working and it's the end of the world everyone's just queuing up for no reason I only went there for sawdust and bunny
M.
I love this place! Loads of great stuff a really good prices. If you want anything for the home especially, check it out.
J. M.
Great choice of craft, homeward and garden products. Staff helpful and friendly but always a wait at the checkout to be served which is a bit if a let down.
D. C.
Great time. Walked straight in, found what I wanted and paid almost immediately and out the door. Wonderful.
P. P.
Excellent shop at the Range Swindon. We went for roller blinds and were pleased to find all the sizes and styles we wanted.
N. N.
Wide varieties for shopping from things required for home to food at Iceland
M. H.
I thought there were too many people in the shop, particularly around the tools, hardly anyone wearing masks.
Till staff tried very hard with the ridiculously long queue.
P. B.
Nice place, wide range of items. Some bargains to be had.
R. B. F. S.
A good selection of items, customer service can be a little lacking at times and theres usually a wait at the tills. Reasonable prices
R. H.
A huge selection of items, picked up a barbecue and everything I needed for a party.
A. B.
There's always a great choice of household and fun things at the Range and with their Xmas decorations on show everything is very festive.
N. H.
The waffles are great really big but some of the topping are really really sweet.
M. D.
Great store, lots of ideas, pet section was really good and well priced.
S. P.
Amazing and affordable place to re-do or to furnished your house and garden👍👍👍👍👍
A. I.
The parking time limit of two hours is very limited for two large stores and makes me always feeling nervous whether I exceeded the two hours.
M. S.
Love this shop some brilliant items for sale . Customer service is always excellant . For thise with pets its got a fantastic range of pet supplies
T. a. M.
New bedding needed short notice and the range had what I needed. Then I ended up adding art supplies from their extensive range. Range by name. Range by nature.
T. B.
Good range (no pun intended) of products at some very competitive prices especially for stationery. Not good prices on plants and the place can be very very crowded.
