For a lot of years, I've been buying all my TVs DTRs etc from them, after my aunt said they were great to deal with and very knowledgeable, My latest purchases two years ago 65" TV & Humax box. (both with 6 year guarantee) started giving me sound trouble and I didn't know why or which was to blame. Anneka said a service man would have to come out because the tv was large. Instead, I took the Humax box into their store where Nigel recognised that the problem I was having was due to the AD button. I didn't know that AD button meant Audio Description or that the extra bar that had appeared was audio description! I decided to turn AD button off. and said I'd get help to reset my TV when I got home. They showed me how easy it was to re-set my system automatically without getting expert help. I copied the procedure Nigel demonstrated onto my phone video. BINGO! I followed the video instructions and everything is working perfectly now ( even though I know nothing of how TV & DTR's work.) The people at Richer Sounds really do care and are extremely helpful

Parking is tricky because there are not many parking meter spaces and traffic wardens do patrol. If you're collecting a product and intend to be super quick you can use their very tiny car park or take your chance on a loading bay space outside.
N.Very helpful, I was served by the manager and he was backed up by a younger guy and between them gave me great advice and found products that matched exactly what I wanted.
Car parking is odd, turn just before the shop follow the arrow go round the corner and it's looks like someone's drive on the almost at the end on the right, it sign posted for them.

J. M.Fantastic service from Richer Sounds. Visited recently after having booked a slot over the phone with the sales advisor, I received excellent advice on a home cinema system for a planned cinema room I want to kit out with projector and complete AV set up.
I was unsure on what would get me the best picture and sound and thanks to the team now I'm fully clued up and have made my purchase safe in the knowledge should there be a problem Nigel and the team will take care of any issues I have.

I’ve bought a lot of Hi Fi and TV equipment from Richer Sounds over the years and have always had excellent service both before and after sales.
M. M.They did a fantastic job fitting a 70" TV, soundbar and PS to the wall, which was a bit complicated due to my unusual wall structure. Cleaned up after, lovely guys, 100% recommend.
J. B.I was a bit disappointed. The assistant gave great advice on what to buy. Richer Sounds does great AV Receiver and speaker package discounts but what I wanted was not in their advertised list of bundles.
I asked if I could get a bundle discount and they offered £75 off. However, when I reviewed the numbers, they were wrong and it was actually £12 off which was about 1.5% instead of about 8.5%! I asked if they would honour the discount to get the price below my upper limit but no joy which was a shame as I had to leave empty handed.

Recently a dark cloud appeared across the bottom of the screen. After calling up their customer support team, it was recommended that a replacement screen was needed. The part was ordered and an engineer arranged for a week later.
This was all during the covid-19 lockdown period, with a covid secure repair undertaken in my home. I was very impressed with the professionalism and care that was taken during this period.

The home cinema package I wanted was out of stock but he quickly created some alternative packages on the fly by combining AV receivers and the speakers I wanted. I've used Richer sounds a few years ago and was impressed with their knowledge and service then. So I came back now as I wanted to potentially talk about upgrading my projector to a 4k projector.

I ask a lot of questions! But in the end I am very happy with my numerous purchases and their willingness to price match when it was fair to do so. Other than their friendly stance, what struck me was their immense technical knowledge and their enthusiasm for all the products in the store. You can really tell they love what they do... I am already planning a few more visits in the new year to purchase HiFi products, having sorted the TV and cinema sound system... The Monitor Audio speakers are great and i am amazed at the layers of sound being revealed even on recordings i know very well, sound staging and presence is superb and of course will get better with burn in. V.Brilliant. Richer Sounds are one of the few companies in my experience which actually has customer service and cares about its customers. Nothing is too much trouble. I ordered a new Cartridge for my record player and they happily installed it for me. Brilliant Service! This is why I keep coming back.

A particular mention must go to the Deputy Manager 'Lloyd' who was incredibly helpful and professional. After purchasing a Yamaha AV Amp and setting it up, I found that my Virgin Tivo box was causing issues with the Amp and would not display on my TV. Lloyd was very helpful with his advice on getting a solution. However after a call to Virgin it became evident that a solution could not be found for this amp. Lloyd very kindly arranged to take back the amp and I was able to get an upgraded model (at a special manager's discount) and the problem has now been solved. First class 5 stars, I would highly recommend Richer Sounds to all and I will definitely be using them again in the future. Thank you.

P. W.Some fantastic HIFI systems here. It's more about cinema home entertainment though. Speaker cable and accessories are expensive but if you have your eye on a particular sound system you'll find it here. Go when it's not busy so you get the personal touch from the sales people. If you're willing to pay thousands on a system you'll want the attention. They have an experience room to listen to a particular system. A bit of history..... They originally occupied the corner shop on Langley Road (100 yards further towards the Town Hall) after buying out KJ Leisure sounds where I bought my first Stereo system as a kid. Just saying.

I went to buy a Samsung TV from Richer Sounds in Watford. RS were selling it for £199 where John Lewis were selling for £189. RS website say they will match the price then beat it by £5 but the local manager at Watford would only match the price and not beat it saying that RS give a 6yr guarantee where John Lewis only do a 5yr guarantee. RS website states the guarantee has to be 'comparable' which I believe it is (i.e. similar, approximate) Shame on the RS Watford manager, you lost an easy sale and an on going customer for the want of £5 and not honouring your stated terms and conditions. I will not be back.
UPDATE: I had a telephone call from a very nice man called Tom Griffiths (Customer Service Manager) who discussed the matter in detail with me. He sounded genuinely concerned that the Watford branch of RS had not 'Price Beaten' the John Lewis price as, as Tom said, John Lewis are one of their main competitors and they of course accept the 5 and 6 year guarantees as being comparable. Tom managed to resolve the issue with me satisfactorily and I certainly feel better about RS in general (it should be know that I have bought TV's and accessories from them in the past). However, while I'm sure the manager and staff at the Watford branch will have been re-educated by now, the experience I had still manages to leave a bad taste in my mouth therefore I am only able to 'up' their score to 3 STARS, if I had been scoring Tom in Customer Services it would have been 5 STARS, but this is a review of Richer Sounds Watford and the manager therein.

A nice gentleman called Tom called me today. He resolved my problem in a timely and professional manor. I have received a replacement panel, that now streams 4K content. Very happy customer. As a result of this customer care, I went out and spent another £600 in my local RS store!
I bought a Samsung 4K TV from here two years ago. At the time 4K had just come in. I was told by the sales man that 4K is the future. I wanted to buy a 3D panel, but again the salesman kept going on about 4K. When I first got the TV, Youtube had the most 4K content, and probably still does today. Unfortunately, the 4K content on Youtube has stopped working.

What great service from all the members of staff in the store, particularly Chris and the Manager Anca. I had many demos looking at alternatives when making my decision and I was looked after with patience and understanding. J. M.I had a very positive experience in the store. I was helped by a member of staff at the branch called Heather. I have an interest in tech and I found heather to be extremely knowledgeable, which was quite refreshing and a totally different experience to shopping at say Currys PC World where typically the salesperson is clueless. After purchasing, the price of the items I had bought was reduced. I called the store and they were really helpful and refunded the difference. This store will be my first point of call for any future audio video purchase.
