Awesome Proportions Ltd provided us with an excellent service from start to finish when we planned to extend our family home. Gavin understood exactly what we wanted, then used his knowledge and experience to produce a fantastic design for our project. Assistance was provided with drawings, permissions, engineers, building control. He even helped us find the most fantastic builder, all of which made the whole process run smoothly with minimum stress on my family. I can't thank Gavin enough for helping us make our family home perfect, he provided us with a proffesional service and went that extra mile to add the personal touch required for such a project. I contacted Gavin to get plans drawn up for a single storey extension to our kitchen. I found him to be fantastic to work with, he was friendly, approachable and knowledgeable which put us at ease from start to finish. Once the plans were finalised Gav supplied a few builder recommendations, one of which we used which again made the process simple and allowed us to find a builder that had a reliable recommendation from someone we trusted. I was really pleased to have Gavin's input into the design of a downstairs bathroom. Gavin is very knowledgeable in his field. He had a lot of good design ideas for the project which I had not considered. He took the time to really understand what I wanted to achieve and tailored his solution to it. As many have during the lockdown in 2020, I built a summerhouse/pub outbuilding. Early this year I received a letter from Planning Enforcement office advising that I had been reported to the local Planning Office. Upon re-measuring the height at the eaves, I was advised that I was just over the permitted development height and was told that I must apply for Retrospective Planning Permission This was devastating news. If unsuccessful, I may have to tear it down or remove the roof or make some drastic modifications. It was a daunting task to how I would go forward with the Planners so I contacted Gavin. He reviewed and measured my building, created the necessary building drawings, applied for Retrospective Planning permission and dealt with any queries raised. Without Gavin’s expertise I don’t think I would have gained approval. He was professional, courteous and always ensured I was fully informed and would definitely recommend using Awesome Proportions.

Gavin is a bright, young architectural designer with lots of interesting and innovative ideas. Gavin came up with a great design for an awkward, and difficult area in my garden, which was both interesting and practical.
