We first found Kate via Instagram and instantly fell in love with her work and knew we had to have her as our architect. A year later we managed to enlist her services and she exceeded our expectations. She was very patient, took on board our wish list and made our dreams a reality. We are in love with her design for our house and we cannot wait to see it come into fruition. As we are both deaf, a design that allowed for clear communication using sign language through glass windows and across several rooms were very important and she achieved this through her design. Kate and her team were very responsive, quick to answer any questions or queries we had and were very efficient! We consider ourselves very lucky to be able to have her as our architect and couldn’t recommend her more.

I heard about Kate & Loud Architects from an Instagram account I was following. I was blown away by the design & finish. I looked her up and immediately thought if we ever decide on doing our extension, I am going to use this company. Fast forward to COVID and like many, being in the house 24 hours a day with two small children in our current layout was a nightmare! In a strange coincidence, I also saw her post on a local community social media group. I thought it was a sign and got in contact. Kate & her team designed our extension and loft conversion, listening to our needs and as she puts it ‘must haves’. What’s also utterly wonderful is that they also offered an interior design service to boot! This was great as I had zero time for that. She also helped design our kitchen (literally down to the handles). She put our project through a tender process and then weighed up the submissions by price and scope according to our budget. This was great as we didn’t have the mammoth task of finding a building company ourselves! We agreed on a building firm and are currently 7 weeks into construction. We have a wonderful site manager who updates us daily and Kate comes to check all is in order and according to design every few weeks. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kate & Loud Architects!

I discovered Kate on Instagram back in nov 18, I was embarking on what I thought was a fairly simple, run of the mill single story extension with an internal re-fit of my mums 3 bedroom house in Surrey. It was far from a glory job and other architects were either slow at coming back to me, not particularly interested or were just way to busy. Kate came back to me very quickly, was so easy to talk to, made everything seem manageable, she was just very happy to help me. If only we had proceeded with Loud Architects there and then. However we instructed a local builder who had their architect and structural engineer, it all went horribly wrong, the builders ripped us off, the architect was not really an architect, I never got to meet the structural engineer who was managed through the architect. The house was left with over £100K worth of damage, at least £100K devalued and with that and more to spend on it to put right. so take note, no shortcuts with your life's savings! the Building Controller won't save you when it all goes wrong, not even fancy lawyers will get you your hard earned money back when the builders decide to liquidate, nothing you can do. imagine! so, I picked myself up, just about, called Kate and apologised for not contracting her, I told her what had happened and I needn't have worried about re contacting her, she was only too happy to help, she got to work on a new tender pack for me, went above and beyond. She was human, personable, she understood my predicament perfectly. We are still working through the building works, and unfortunately its unlikely we will finish the project anytime soon, but its so reassuring to have all the correct paperwork in place and a professional on hand to ask big questions and small. Employ Loud Architects for peace of mind, clever ideas, a team in your corner and friendliness.

Loud Architecture are a great young practice pushing the boundaries of design that's very uncommon in the residential extension market. Overall a great architect to work with, open to ideas put forward during the construction process ensuring the project remained ontime & more importantly on budget.

We enlisted the help of Kate from Loud Architects for a bathroom and bedroom renovation in our East London Grade II listed terraced house. We found Kate in an online websearch where we were immediately drawn by her ability to quickly understand our requirements, flexibility to meet with us after work and at our home, and finally how she was able to translate our vision and multiple pinterest boards into achievable building plans. She is a top notch architect but also has fantastic design sense and creativity. Initially we were going to just use her for our preliminary services of feasibility and helping with our planning application. After just a week of working with her, we realized we wanted her expertise on the entire project because of her skill, knowledge, and keen design eye. She has put together our tender pack for building construction and continues to help us think of creative ways to stay within budget. Kate is incredibly organized, puts together comprehensive meeting presentations and notes, design updates, precedents, and 'to do lists' for our own research/sourcing needs. She's taken our initial idea of a en-suite and family bath conversion into a bathroom oasis that is beyond our initial imagination. From looking at our saved pinterest items, instagram posts, and houzz boards, she was able to put together a design incredibly in line with our tastes. Her attention to detail blows us away! We would absolutely recommend Kate and Loud Architects for any architectural and design needs. Once we've saved enough we will be using her for our next kitchen renovation project!

Loud have been fantastic. We employed them at a much later stage than we should have done, meaning they had a really tight timeline to work to. They gave us great advice, and got up to speed very quickly. Submitting our planning application within a week, and then quickly turning around our building control and tender documents. They're really responsive in answering questions, and explaining the process in a straightforward way, which as renovation newbies, was a necessity. We wouldn't have got to where we are without them, as there were so many things that they picked up on, that we weren't even aware of, such as party wall notices, design ideas, and ways to make the exterior much sleeker. I would recommend them very highly, and we would use them again in the future.
