It is a 10 from me! :) I found Resi through online search. Lily at Resi explained their services in details on my phone enquiry and sent me a quote a day later. My work was handed over to Harry who was extremely professional and helpful, who took me through the whole process and completed the submission of my planning permit application. The incompetent case worker of my local council caused the approval with a 9-week overdue after its scheduled deadline of decision. Harry helped me with chasing him from time to time, even raised our complaints to the manager from the council's planning team. Eventually, I got it. I am so grateful for this wonderful company and team of young professionals. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

My husband and I are going through a house extension and we appointed RESI to be our architects and to guide us through the whole process. We have just had our planning application granted so there is still much to do, however I must say that so far we are absolutely happy with the help, support and advice we have received form the Team at RESI. We spoke to another firm before getting in contact with RESI (as you do, you shop around): the chat was so awful we almost decided it wasn't for us. Then we then spoke to the team at RESI and they just got us straight away! We were so impressed we decided to cancel an appointment with a third firm. We decided to work with Resi after being let down by another, local traditional architect. Resi have been great to work with, I only wish we had worked with them sooner! The team have supported us all the way from concepts and design, to building control and even helped us with looking at potential finance options. Even though we didn’t need to go down the finance route, it was great to be able to speak to somebody to look at different options. Resi (AK, Nick and the team) really looked at our space and thought about it in a very different way than we had before, and brought great ideas and concepts. Importantly they were very aware of our budget and were quick to advise that would and would not be in budget. Also as very visual people, we struggle with just flat floorpans. So being able to look at both external 3D renders but also 3D internal models helped us to really understand how the space would work and the different views and sight lines. Some improvement feedback we gave to Resi was that one area we struggled with was not being able to pick up the phone and speak to somebody straightaway to get something answered, in the same way you can with a traditional firm. However our Resi account manager advised that was something they had been working on addressing - so it’s great to hear that is being resolved. The big indicator of service is whether we would recommend Resi and we actually already have to another family member. They have used Resi to design a new build and they have also been very pleased with the support and guidance from Resi. Thanks everybody at Resi!

Resi has quality internal experts helping guide clients on each step of their project - from planning through to design - which can relieve potential stress for those without expert knowledge. They also have a deep pool of external contacts covering suppliers, structural engineers, builders themselves etc, which massively reduces the chances of picking a dud. I’m currently finishing the drawings for my project and have been particularly impressed with Nick, who has proactively driven the project forwards from a design perspective, making sure all of the drawings are in perfect shape ahead of the construction phase later this year. We have had a brilliant experience with Resi! They did a fantastic job coordinating all aspects of our full house renovation and extension project. They gave us brilliant advice that improved our design and functionality, and liaised with relevant contractors seamlessly to ensure all parties were on the same page and no opportunity for any wires to be crossed. Resi have been a game changer for us. Before Resi the route from a vague idea or doing an extension to the finished building work was incredibly vague and full of processes and multiple companies that seem both confusing and at times very expensive. Resi offer a critical path all the way through the process, and they are always on hand to talk through and explain every step. On top of this, the aggregation of other services and the positive feedback loop created by users with positive experiences with contractors is worth so much. Just knowing that the contractor you're talking to has current Resi projects on the go and has completed projects with satisfied clients (who Resi recommend taking to in person) just means that you aren't giving huge sums of money to a builder that you 'think' you can trust to do a good job. If a contractor does a bad job through a Resi contact they know they lose out of potential future business. It's win-win, and a dearly needed disruptor in this industry. I know that without Resi we would not have gone for buildings regulations drawings which has flagged up some issues that would have come to light during the build. This has allowed us to change the structural plans in good time, and means the builder won't have to amend their plans on site - which would be stressful for everyone. I know some people have complained about slow response times during lockdown, and although sympathetic (everyone is keen to get their project off the ground) this is an unprecedented time right now with COVID-19. Surely some allowances can be made for fledgling companies who have had to completely change how they work. For what it's worth we haven't experienced any delays due to Resi completing plans late, and they are always very quick to respond on the dashboard chat function. My wife and I have already recommended Resi to friends and colleagues and I wouldn't take on another housing project without having them on my side. The value for money for their services is frankly incredible.

Resi have been outstanding throughout. I didn't know where to go for help designing a reconfigured outbuilding next to our Grade II listed house. Resi were extremely diligent, listened, came up with well-thought-through options, handled everything with the local council, and chased the planning department regularly when they were slow making a decision. I currently advise Resi and their clients on matters arising from the Party Wall etc, Act 1996 and I have done so for over 12 months. As a supplier to them, I find their systems and processes very efficient. If we need amendments made to the drawings, we recommend the client deals directly with them and within the time we have worked together, I have not once heard of a client being unsatisfied. Their core values are to cut through the costly and lengthily process involved in creating an extension to your home and I very much believe they are managing to do this for their clients. Our project was bigger than any of the works we’d had done before so we had very little idea of where to start. We then found Resi and we were given good initial guidance and advice from Matthew who did the design work and planning for us. Along the way, there were a number of difficulties and delays mostly due to the covid and lockdown situations. We also had some issues with one of their recommended trade companies. Jake at Resi then came in for help and went the extra mile to support us. He regularly contacted us to check on the progress making sure our works were approved smoothly, for which we are very grateful. It's been almost a year since we started talking to them. Our project is now at the final stage, and we are very happy with our new home!

Brilliant service delivered by Resi I am doing an extension on our house in Somerset. Not knowing anything about architects in the UK, I met with three local practices and obtained proposals from them. I then came across Resi online and decided to give them a try. Adjudicating the now four proposals, it looked like Resi was emerging as the favourite. However, I had my doubts so travelled to London to meet with them. What I saw and heard impressed me and, despite the distance, decided to go with them – not only on the basis of their set up, but also of price. And how have they delivered – all stages from survey through to integrating structural design to delivery of building regulation drawings happened smoothly and on schedule. Their dashboard portal system is excellent and live design reviews at various stages were conducted with friendly, helpful and knowledgeable specialists. Resi has perfected the art of delivering an excellent service remotely as though they were just next door – a quality product delivered on schedule and on budget. We went with Resi at the end of of last year to draw up a rear extension and handle our planning application. All in all the service was very reasonable based on the fact they are an online company whom are very competitively priced when compared to other quotes that we received for a similar service. The timelines from beginning to end was as expected which was great. Having just completed the extension we would recommend these guys if you have a fairly solid idea of what you want, are on a bit more of a tighter budget and need the help from initial drawings, through to build over agreements and planning applications.

I have been impressed throughout the process so far. All the Resi personnel I have dealt with have been knowledgeable and very professional. Their communications have been clear and responses have been in very good time. My one reason for not giving 5 stars is that I was charged an extra £250.00 when a site visit with the architect could not take place (due to the tenant being obstructive) and had to be rescheduled.

Resi came recommended through my current employer as an upcoming engaging construction firm with a different approach. I had used a different architect to draw initial plans and apply for planning permission for us, however after having planning approved they told us it would take them at least 4 months to be able to finalise building regs drawings and for us to be ready to build. We were under significant time pressures so through a recommendation we decided to use Resi. It has taken 7 weeks from our first engagement to being in a position to start work on our extension this coming Monday. This speediness has not come at the sacrifice of quality which was my biggest fear. Mark has been fantastic to work with throughout, offering advice and suggesting changes from the original plans which we are really happy with. Every supplier they have recommended (structural engineer, party wall surveyor etc) has been good to work with as well. The dashboard is very intuitive and we've been updated on progress throughout so have never felt out of the loop. I would definitely recommend Resi.

I would highly recommended Resi to anyone thinking of undertaking any work on their home. Resi have demystified the whole process for us and succeeded in getting the job done, on time and to a high standard. I came across them while reading an article online. I was looking to start planning a ground floor extension to our home and had no idea of where to start and whether I even needed an architect. I had had one meeting with a local architect but my life is busy and I didn’t really have time to book in meetings or go to their offices which both my husband and I were supposed to attend. Resi has made the whole process really easy and accessible. With Resi it all happens online and over the phone. The online platform they have is very easy to use. We got to see our designs as they happened and were able to communicate at any time of the day using the messages section of the dashboard. The dashboard allows you to upload Pinterest ideas and photos and sketches at any time an idea pops in to your head, which meant we were able to share a good sense of our design expectations and preferences. We had a consultation phone call after we had uploaded some ideas - where we got to explore in real time the planned drawings and edit and make changes on a shared screen as we spoke - this way we got exactly what we wanted from the design and quickly. I have found the consultation and design process brilliant and would like to say a big thank you to Jake and Connor for that. It’s not just the designers either - it’s a whole package. The team at Resi sort out the planning applications, appoint surveyors and structural engineers etc. The cost of a team of experts to get your project realised is also sensibly priced for normal people. I have loved working with the team at Resi, even though they are based in London and we have never met, I feel like we have. The people at Resi clearly care about getting the best out of my project for me. In short, everything you need to get your building project achieved - expertly and timely delivered by friendly, invested, skilled people - I can’t believe my luck that I found them - it’s made a complicated, confusing process a breeze and the whole project has been a delight - appoint them now and save yourself a load of hassle!

EDIT: I am amending the review below because after posting this review Resi reached out to me in order to rectify the situation. It seems that it may have been a single rogue architect who it turns out has now left the company. Since the new architect has taken over I have been much happier, the service has been much more in keeping with what I expected and I am very pleased with the new drawings: so much so that I have decided to continue with Resi and use their buildings package. I can't in good faith leave a five star review as a lot of time was wasted with the initial architect as well the cost of resubmitting my planning, however had I had this experience the first time round I would not have hesitated in giving a five star review to this company. I am so surprised at all these good reviews. I have had a not great experience with them. They were initially good but I was seriously disappointed with the architect who did not seem to understand what we wanted at all and made ugly and impractical suggestions. He just seemed to want to get it over and done with. They really chase you to try and get you to use them for all the services but once you let them know you won't be using all of their other services it's impossible to reach anyone. I was promised 3d drawings which I was never given even a year later. I am still chasing them and they keep saying they're on the way. It's been weeks since my most recent request. I would not recommend them or use them again. My neighbour had drawings done for the same extension as me and hers were cheaper, better and the company was more helpful. I am so disappointed because I was sold on the reviews and on the photo examples of their work which I thought was exactly what I wanted but the architect was completely uninspiring and his original drawings made no sense.

We moved into a new place last summer and chose Resi to help with our rear extension. My wife and I have very strong ideas, which Connor at Resi has helped turn into a good set of plans. He contributed many useful ideas and has been both responsive and a model of professionalism. There is a probably overly long phone call to figure out what services are required, then the design call running through our ideas. This combined with a variety of uploads from us generates a first design. Following two revisions, we have now had this submitted for planning permission. Their website is also better than expected. We heartily recommend Resi, who provide a high quality service at a fair price.

I must say I was initially a bit sceptical choosing an online architect company but after a few friends have had bad experiences with more traditional architect companies, we decided to go with RESI and have not been disappointed. We have recently applied for planning permission for our kitchen extension. We had a pretty clear view of what we wanted but discovered that wasn't possible, so after a few talks with Connor, he came up with what we now believe to be a much better design, than what we originally wanted so thumbs up. The whole team seem to work well together at each stage and Connor was very patient with us throughout and they deal with the council too, which is a massive headache taken off our shoulders. Nick at Resi is amazing! We have a big extension project and have zero experience. Nick has been very patient to give us advice and incorporate what we want. We found the dashboard very intuitive and useful as all the communications, floorplans and photos etc are put in this hub and it’s easy to see the progress. Because the large scale of extension, we had quite a few revisions as our ideas evolved. Nick has always been very patient to listen to what we envisage and give us his professional advice. The drawings are very pretty and praised by council planning officer in pre-application review. We are now almost ready for planning application. We have been really happy with RESI; we are undertaking a single storey extension and loft conversion which we are project managing ourselves and RESI have been our favourite consultants to deal with during this process. They are enthusiastic, knowledgeable and always come back very quickly on any queries we have. The screen sharing facility works really well and saves on having to go and visit them to discuss plans etc. I would happily recommend them to family and friends.

I just purchased a house I was not very happy with the layout.Rather than just going in and doing alterations I needed some experts who could create a blue print for me thus avoiding rework. Initially Lisa had a brief chat to find out about what I really needed then Oliver set up an online live session with me to walk me through the plans and did some alterations as we walked through the plan. Overall it was a great experience and gives me a good starting point.Once I live in the house and rest for a bit on the these initial set of plans I will call them again to have a complete architectural plan .

I absolutely loved the work RESI did for me! Think Apple experience - but for your home extension process! They have designed and built an amazingly user friendly online platform, which makes the process and experience simpler and transparent. You know what steps you need to take, when and why - so it helps to demystify a complex process. RESI also provide an all in service, which is modularised and non-obligatory, so again you can see and understand what the next step is and make an informed decision of whether to proceed or not. I would also say that the platform almost gamifies what's quite a dull process! I have no hesitation in recommending RESI and have already done so to a few friends and colleagues. I see them almost like a tech company which is disrupting the extensions and planning industry. They're available from the comfort of your home through video chat, over the phone and also always follow up with an extensive summary email, but most importantly all my key documents are available on the platform, indicating which stage I'm at and making clear to me what's up next - genius! Don't hesitate, go with these guys you won't regret it and yes, they're also far cheaper than the more (ahem) 'traditional' firms. GO RESI!
