What a fantastic course! I attended the WSET Level 1 course with Katie and it did not disappoint. I have always wanted to invest in further education for wine and this was the perfect place to start.
A comfortable, honest and fun environment to start my learning! The selection of wines were incredible along with a fantastic teacher in Katie. A wealth of experience coupled with a friendly manner!
I look forward to coming back for level 2!

What a great day out and a great presenter Katie is, she made the day, knowledgeable, funny, generous and a great speaker. I wasn't too sure what to expect we learned a lot, drank quite a bit and had a real laugh with our fellow students. The venue was terrific and the lunch good quality. Brilliant day out and good value for money too

Excellent tuition, encouragement and guidance in preparation for the WSET Level 3 exam.
Enjoyable and varied course with fabulous tasting of over 50 wines.
Despite initial doubts about taking the course, I felt confident by the time I came to take the exam. I would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone wanting to improve their knowledge about wine.

Our fourth evening with Birmingham Wine School but my first review.
Having differed the sparkling wine event from early 2020 we were delighted that Katie honoured the booking for 2022. Although the group was very small (just five) we had lots of laughs, learned a lot (as ever) and discovered some new wines for the shopping list. As a bonus as there was just the five of us there was lots of drink.
Interestingly we all voted one of the Cavas top and sadly found the most expensive Champagne the worst. Who knew.
We will be back.

Brilliant South Africa wine tasting. Interesting, well chosen, affordable wines. Unpretentious but informative. The presenter had just the right blend of knowledge and charm, encouraging everyone to contribute without making it awkward. Really good to have different cheeses, biscuits and water. Strongly recommended.

We had a fantastic time on Sat 4th Dec and learnt so much about wine. What the tutor doesn’t know about wine isn’t worth knowing! Would really recommend this to any wine enthusiast.

First wine tasting. Very knowledgeable host and a good selection of wines. Highly recommended to allow you to start appreciating some of the subtleties involved in wine appreciation.Look forward to going to the next one.

Just want to share fantastic private wine tasting for my daughters 30th.
The whole evening went so well.
Faultless.
Dom was super!

For anyone who is contemplating furthering their interest in wine, then I cannot recommend highly enough the Birmingham wine school. Whether it be for an individual 1 day / night experience or a full on qualification this team know their stuff. Extremely friendly and welcoming, no wine snobbery whatsoever making you feel included from the very start. A very professional set up and great fun. I was only going to give them 4 stars but as I achieved "Distinction" it had to be 5. Thank you for getting me through

I have now been to a few events hosted by Birmingham Wine School (most of them online) and I think they are fantastic. Katie is knowledgeable without being precious and the atmosphere created is really welcoming and lots of fun. I have tried different wines that I may not have looked at otherwise and it has felt a great social experience - even over Zoom. Would highly recommend.

I’ve now done two tastings with Katie at the Birmingham wine school. They are the perfect pairing of fun and informative. Lovely choice of wines and we had a fantastic evening. Especially with it being lockdown and no places being open. Katie was a fantastic host and I can’t wait for the next one. Would recommend to anyone!

We had a virtual wine tasting experience with a group of friends with Katie as our guide and host. Fantastic experience, with a great selection of wines, insightful presentations, wine pairing list pre event and overall a really fun evening learning about and tasting these wines! Highly recommended!

My partner and I have done a fair few wine tastings (since lockdown began), and we enjoyed Birmingham Wine Schools' the most. Katie was super knowledgable, made the tasting fun and easy to follow and the Zoom 'room' was not overcrowded as it is with other wine tasting companies.
Cannot recommend highly enough :)

Wine tastings can often feel exclusive and sometimes one doubts ones ability to engage fully. Katie was like a breath of fresh air. Her enthusiasm and knowledge shone through, whilst having no pre conceptions as to the expertise of her tasting audience. She personified all the elements of good, interactive teaching. What more could we hope for from a wine school. Can I just add, it was so refreshing to attend a tasting, where the purpose of the speaker was to share her passion and not sell wine.

Katie and Geoff were amazing. From the first contact Katie listened to our brief for our Fathers 70th birthday and tailored the experience to suit us. He loves French Red so we explored France. Katie suggested food pairings and we had fun getting ready for the evening. Geoff was an amazing tutor and I have to say it was one of the lockdown favourite moments of the year. This experience with this team I would highly recommend and we will be using them again and I have already told all my friends and family about the fab experience. Thank you Katie and Geoff for such a perfect night.

Just completed my WSET level 3 at Birmingham Wine School and what a great experience it was . The course was brilliantly organised by Rob , despite being interrupted by Covid. Not only did I learn a lot more about wine and improved my tasting skills, but it was great fun! Thanks again Rob for all your efforts in these difficult times

Did my WSET level 1 to 3 with Birmingham wine school. it was informative and very helpful from the tutor - Rob (receiving extra support and a catch up lesson via zoom during the pandemic especially tasting and marking tasting notes for exam preparation)

Excellent tuition and knowledge delivered in a fun and relaxed setting. Have achieved my WSET level 2 and 3, both with distinction through Birmingham Wine School. Fully recommend!

Katie is a great tutor and I was very enjoy the time with her!

Have been looking forward to this event for weeks and it didn't disappoint. Rob delivered information in a way that was easily understood and very entertaining. The fact that he tailored the event for us rose lovers showed what excellent customer service they deliver. We have already signed up for the July Champagne course in Warwick - no doubt there will be others too. Thanks so much Rob!

I’ve now attended a number of events at Birmingham Wine School and they just get better every time. I’ve tasted some great wines, expanded my knowledge and met some great people. The evenings are educational but fun and are hosted by very knowledgeable and professional hosts. I also recommend the WSET courses offered by the school. These are more structured and result in a recognised qualification but are equally fun and very well delivered. I’d say book a course today and take your friends, the fascinating world of wine awaits you and a little bit of knowledge might mean you enjoy your wine even more.

A fun evening. Katie was knowledgeable and informative and not at all pompous. The whole event was well organised. The wines were good and we all learnt something about the wines and about wine drinking.

I first experienced Rob and his team when I bought a Wine and Food Pairing evening at The Wellington for my friend for Christmas. We both already enjoyed wine and the evening was fun and interesting and we were surprised by some of the taste combinations. I then attended a new venue ‘test’ which was held at The Holiday Inn. This was in the form of a competition to guess the wines. It was great fun but I was useless which made me realise I didn’t know as much about wine as I thought I did! It piqued my interest and I booked myself onto the WSET Level 1 course. The day was enjoyable although a bit fraught for me as I haven’t done an exam in a long time! However the pace of the course was fine! Rob’s enthusiasm and knowledge of wine comes through and it inspires you to learn more. Whether you want to have a fun evening or get Wine qualifications I would definitely recommend The Birmingham Wine School.

Spent the afternoon at Hotel du Vin tasting a gorgeous variety of wines and eating a lovely meal with Rob Price. Rob is extremely knowledgeable, passionate about wine, very friendly, and generous with his pouring! We learned a lot about wine and came home with some great recommendations and memories of a really fun day. Thanks, Rob!

I had a great time learning more about wine having completed WSET Level 1 with Birmingham Wine School . The day was much fun and Rob knowledgable and passionate on subject. We completed a multiple choice exam ( about 30 questions) at the end of the day, imagine actually looking forward to doing an exam?! Will definitely be back for level 2.

Whether your interest in wine is as an amateur (like me) or is linked to your job, I would recommend the WSET courses run by Rob with assistance from Geoff. They share their knowledge and experience with enthusiasm and humour, creating an atmosphere that is open, informative and conducive to learning. One of the pleasures of drinking wine is talking about it, which is why being in a relaxed classroom-style environment is so right for studying for these qualifications. I have just completed WSET 3, and have learnt a huge amount whilst also getting to taste an incredible range of wines. There is a lot you need to do yourself away from the classroom, for level 2 and certainly for level 3 (level 1 was done in one day), but the course is structured so that you know what to focus on (including practice questions) and there is online support from the tutors if needed. For the recent level 3 course in Birmingham the class size was 10-12, large enough for a lively ambience and to get different points of view, but small enough to have individual discussion with Rob.

Completed the Wine WSET level one with Rob, it was a great experience with everything that we could need during the day to give us the best chance of passing the exam, which we both did with flying colours . Bring on level two!

Great evening with my partner Anna last Saturday at the fish/chips and champagne event. Thanks to the knowledgeable Rob for imparting with so much information about champagne. Need to book again as couldn't take it all in. Well that's my excuse.

Rob Price, my educator during WSET Levels 1,2 and 3 in the past two years, delivers a thoroughly professional and rigorous education into winemaking and wines of the world. Starting as a total beginner, I learnt a great deal about this very broad topic, worked hard, earned my certificates and had a lot of fun in the process. Rob has inspired me to delve deeper into wine education. Keep up the good work👍😊

I did my WSET Level 2 in wine with Birmingham Wine School. Katie and Rob are great educators and couldn't recommend them more!

I've done both my L1 and L2 WSET courses with Birmingham Wine School. They are fantastic - they make the courses fun and engaging whilst still giving you all the knowledge you need to pass. Would recommend to anyone thinking of doing WSET courses.

Always great value for money. With the opportunity to drink fabulous wine, socialise with new people and learn more about what you are drinking along the way, in a very relaxed setting. I have done several tastings over the years and currently have two more booked to look forward to.
