Oscar Birmingham has been a massive support network for me and my family over the years. Especially during lockdown they were constantly checking in to make sure we were OK, arranging food parcels, arranging activities for the children over the holidays. They are very community focused and always ensure that everyone is looked after and have specific activities to look after the well being of the carers. I really don't know what I would do without them

Especially Hobby and Leon have been very good, and go out of there way to help with my children who are diagnosed with thalassemia Major. Words cannot do enough justice or clearly express the impact and the positivity this wonderful organization has contributed in the lives of that of myself and my children. They are always there to listen and help even in areas that are out of their speciality. The support they give extend to all areas financially, materially, emotionally and mentally, the awareness surrounding sickle cells even down to the medical care aspect of it. You feel the genuine care and compassion from everyone especially Hobby. The activities and fun adventures they make us experience are next to none, they take us to places we normally wouldn't go to due to financial reasons. i can't fully express how much OSCAR has benefitted me personally and many others over the years. I started as a 12 year old kid participating in activities held by the charity, and as the years went by I've had a lot of priceless memories, made new friends and grown a lot as a person due to this & the amazing support from the staff. At 19, I am now a member of the OSCAR staff team and love every part of it! It feels amazing to be able to organise activities, events and support for people in the community. The organisation is like a beacon of hope & support for a plethora of people, very grateful to be a part of it.
