Reviews of Bridgend animal rescue Centre (BARC)

About a year ago when Wags and Whiskers were under the name BARC they allowed me to adopt a dog (EBT Dex). I had been pushing to get my wife a dog to help with her severe mental health (depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts). Wags and Whiskers were the only dog rescue centre south of Edinburgh to offer me a dog. They were brilliant then, and they are brilliant now.

The volunteers at this rescue centre work tirelessly for the animals in their care, providing rescue. pet fostering, a pet food bank for the poor and even a 'bed for the night' for pets of the homeless when using shelter accommodation. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Our little dog Honey came from them (initially as a foster) and their support has been fantastic. They are knowledgeable and compassionate and most importantly, put animals first.

My little Yorkie went missing. A kind and compassionate young lady, to whom I will be forever grateful, found him near the M4 motorway and took him to the Bridgend Animal Rescue Centre. When I went to collect him it was with much relief that he was safe and sound and being looked after so well I'm sure he would have been quite content to stay there.
I expressed my gratitude and made a donation to their fundraising efforts. Where would animal lovers be without such kind and caring people?
I wholeheartedly commend this and all other rescue centres and would appeal to animal lovers everywhere to support their local centre. Like me you could well one day have every reason to be grateful for their efforts
