Beautiful mansion and totally free to see with lovely grounds and gardens for a walk as well as a cafe and much more!

I hope someone does rescue this beautiful old building. It could a jewel in Bristol's historical crown.

Truly beautiful gem in Bristol's crown. Never too busy, the grounds are stunning and there for the people of Bristol to enjoy. Artspace Lifespace are working hard to get it back on the map with outdoor art installations and a program of live music in December. Art and antique residency when no bookings and the council (who still own the building) are in talks to redevelop. Tours of the upstairs available through FAM (friends of Ashton Court mansion)
Park on site, get a coffee from the council run cafe in the courtyard (also serving good food) and maybe even watch the balloons launch!

Really lovely, excited to come back in the dark for the lights show (although it's a little dear!).

Amazing place to take long walks by foot or on the bike. You are surrounded by green fields, and you can also go into a forest nearby. And you can see a lot of deers.

I visited the coffee shop at Ashton Court mansion whilst following the GU2 (Gromit) trail around Bristol. The coffee was served efficiently and was enjoyable. The Mansion is still closed but looked reasonable on the outside. It's just a shame the council can't decide what to do with it. They have always been pretty low on inspiration and the closed mansion is a testament to that.
