Reviews of Downend Folk House Association
M. D.Clean, well maintained venue with car park and surrounding parkland.
S. Y.I recently attended a first aid course at this venue. The hall itself was clean with plenty of tables and chairs to use. The toilets were clean and there's plenty of onsite parking. It's easy to find especially if you're not local and there's a sign on the main road to indicate it's location. I briefly looked at the noticeboard and plenty of community groups seem to use it.
L. P.Masses of parking and a super wooden floor in the main hall. There is a Parkinson's Tai Chi class on a Friday for £5 it's nice and gentle and there are two hugely qualified and lovely instructors always there to guide and correct. You don't have to have PD to attend and we stop for tea and cake and a chat mid way.
M. C.Local community centre for Downend which is sighted roughly halfway between Downend main shopping area and Frenchay area. On the exterior on the front of this community centre the is a plaque commemorating the deaths of flight test engineers in a Comet jet aircraft thirty years ago. It hosts a number of activities and is the home base for the Cleeve Singers of Downend choir.

Just down from the Barn is the most delightful walk down to the river Frome
S. B.I understand they do a lot of classes there for crafting. And lots of other things very educational
R. N.I attend a yearly wargaming show which is held at this venue and have always found the facility's and the event excellent.
H. W.Went here for our nursery's Christmas party. A good venue, with a cosy village hall feel.
G. D.Brilliant place! Can do Zumba, Yoga and great for mums with kids/babies too!
