D.We have been used Keynsham Mencap for almost 24 years- guess we are known as lifers 😀
As a family we have used the services and also volunteered at various clubs/ summer schemes.
The opportunities given to the club members are fabulous and our daughter gets very excited when it’s holiday booking season.
The staff both paid and voluntary go above and beyond to make sure everyone has a fab fulfilling time. 😍
K. D.I've been a volunteer with Keynsham Mencap for nearly 2 years. During this time I've volunteers for the 18+ club every Thursday evening where we do lots of different activities including crafts, circus skills, discos, drumming, themed nights etc. I've also volunteered on holidays which are great fun and very rewarding and I've passed my MIDAS test so I can drive a minibus. The work that Mencap do is just wonderful and I couldn't recommend them more highly as an organisation to support.
P. H.I joined Keynsham Mencap earlier this year organising one of the weekly activity groups and have been really impressed by the passion and dedication shown by staff and volunteers. I find spending time with members who access the Mencap club genuinely inspiring - not least of all seeing the thoughtfulness, helpfulness and friendships between them. It’s a privilege to be involved and the highlight of my week!
C. D.My son has attended Keynsham Mencap for the last 6 years. He really looks forward to it every week, it’s one of the only places he knows he can totally be himself and he won’t be judged. The different activities each week are great, ranging from a boat trip to film night to a huge water fight. I recommend the club to everyone who has a child with a disability

O. A.I am the Treasurer at Keynsham Mencap, trying to juggle our finances that we have to raise ourselves. Whenever I get frustrated with the work I only have to think of our staff and the 100+ volunteers, who do so much for all ages of people with learning disabilities, for my smile to reappear.
