Host to the Thornbury Model Railway exhibition for the first ever time. Excellent venue, obliging caretaker, convenient parking (despite major works in neighbouring car park) all made for a great show.

The cumunity Centre held the thornbury modle railway show it is a large modern building with lots of of good sized rooms for the railway layouts from the different clubs

We held our annual model railway show at Turnberries, they could not have been more helpful! There wasn't a stage in the whole process where we didn't feel looked after, wanted or cared for. They were so friendly and professional through out! They helped advertise us, they made us feel welcome. We are so grateful for everything they did for us. 5 stars is not enough.

Attending a Planning Appeal Inquiry. Staff very friendly and helpful. Just a few issues:
Automatic doors can be a bit noisy and no signage to encourage people to just pull/push door handles to gain access to rooms.
No cable covers available for some rooms where no floor sockets in middle of some rooms, where visitors need to plug in extension leads.
Plastic stacking chairs not very comfortable when in use for up to 2 hours at a time.

Went to an exhibition there... Plenty of space also the toilets are really clean

This place is very easy to find. It has its own parking but there is another parking nearby if there is no space there. not too far from central Bristol by car.
The environment inside is very pleasant, comfortable, clean, with toilets for the disabled, it also has an outdoor area for recreation. There you can also find a canteen to drink coffee or tea and eat a snack.

I recently hired the Avon Hall and Studio for one of my events. The halls were both a very decent size and just what I was after in the area. It had ample parking & my caterer was very pleased with the kitchen facilities. Ginny and Clare were extremely helpful from the outset & their flexibility enabled me to tailor the space according to my needs. The Community Garden is beautiful & very well looked after. It proved to be a wonderful place for our photos to be taken. Thank you Ginny, Clare & the friendly caretaker (sorry I never caught your name)!

A fantastic local facility, run by the community for the community. We have booked rooms there for meetings, which are available by the hour. Wifi is better closest to the reception area. Very clean and tidy, with automatic doors at the entrance and all on one level, which would be ideal for wheelchair users.

A new social centre with many rooms available for hire by clubs etc. Also a cafe open most days....not sure on full opening hours of this though . Limited parking outside but large public car park only 100 meters away. Turnberries was, apparently, an old name form for Thornbury.

A modern community centre with a range of room sizes. Underfloor heating throughout. Flexible spaces which I have used for meetings, exhibitions, exercise classes and craft workshops. Plenty of free parking nearby.
