T. H.Its a nice picturesque lake with some but limited seating around its edge. There aee plenty of plaves to put a picnic blanket though, but beware that the ground around the lake can be a little boggy after rain. There are a wide selection of birds and fish in and on the lake. All in all its a lovely place to sit and take in the beauty of nature.
M. H.Great place for a walk with the kids and dogs. Dogs must be kept on the lead (rightly so) and take some peas to feed the ducks. Wellies are best as it's gets muddy and watch out for golf balls...
I. W.There are 3 trails through the woods and round the lake, none too difficult or too long. The Purple route is the longest at around 2 miles. A nice area for a bit of a stroll and dog walking. Very well kept as well.
J. B.Lovely park to walk round and feels like you're in the country but some areas too secluded for lone walking. However, don't know if the café is open to the public or golfers only. No play area for children as far as I'm aware but there is plenty of grassed area to run around on

R. T. D.Nice place to walk dogs. Walk around the fishing lake or through the woodland. I believe the undulating ground between the lake and Allestree Hall is a vestige of medieval agriculture. There is a golf course here as well.

Lake at other.Lots of wild birds,geese ducks etc. Platform for feeding them.Very popular with locals and dog walkers.Always used to take my children and now grandchildren to feed the ducks. Beware of aggressive geese.
