A local service for local people in urgent need of emergency food provision, supported by local people. An amazing enterprise staffed predominantly by volunteers and supported magnificently by local supermarkets, especially Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda and Morrisons. Have successfully continued to maintain operation through the pandemic - through a delivery model - providing 7-day food parcels to hundreds of local people in need each week. Would further benefit from increased food and especially financial donations to enable a move to suitable premises - the current being no longer suitable - and to continue meeting increased demand for the support it provides. Very Nice Staff on the Friday and Monday that I went to pick up 3 days supply of food and to deliver some Carrier Bags that was piling up. They did appreciate them. There was a different people each time I went but they was Very Friendly and they Work as a Team. I was given Very Nice Greetings both times I went and I was Offered a nice cup of tea with Biscuits both times. All the Staff work very hard those Seen Working at the front and those Working Unseen in the back. Very Precise in all the Work that they do. Making sure all details are Correct and they even ask if you are Allergic or have any Intolerance's to any foods, they even ask if you are Vegetarian or Vegan. I have had A Very Pleasant experience here. Even though you may feel down and worried the Friendly and Cheerful Staff here will help to Lift your Spirits.! Highly Recommended if you find yourself in the same boat as I was. A word of Warning. Food banks only supply you with 3 Days of food and you are only allowed Food Vouchers 3 times within 6 Months. This is Government Restrictions and not Foodbanks. Though News Media does not inform people of these Restrictions. Only that Foodbanks supply Food. So if you see a Trolley to Donate Food for Foodbanks, no matter where you live. Please Donate an item. Because every little item helps and people like myself are Very Grateful for the Donations of Food etc. You never know if in the Future. You may need to have to Visit a Foodbank for Yourself or Your Family.!

Amazing community hub to help vulnerable people. Much more than just a food bank with a lovely welcome and warm cuppa plenty of bics and cosy friendly atmosphere to warm any heart. Plenty of soup and hot meals for supper and break fast with a big screen to enjoy some tv and friendly chatter. Volunteers deserve a massive pat on the back!! Proud to be Glawster.

Obviously being given food when you don't have any is probably the single best selling point in human history- but if you have a key/card meter you get light and heat too ! While you wait you also get a cuppa and some bikkies and a friendly reception- it doesn't come with a free helping of condescension and shame
