Social club deserves better marks but I went to a disco (coerced by wife!). Dangerously loud. Couldn't hear wife shouting in my ear (which some might think of as a blessing). I asked for it to be turned down and was told that a light comes on when it's too loud. Clearly, the light wasn't working. As my party preferred not to go deaf we left after about half an hour.

Nice venue with the usual function rooms but with added bonus of a curry house located at the side of the club. It always cheers me up knowing I can get a decent meal and a pint here.

Love the Mowton Soul dance nights here. Friendly people, free parking, clean facilities. Dance floor got rather warm (in March) but ceiling fans were effective when on. The power cut off to the decks and speakers when the sound peaks too loud for local residents, is hard for the DJs to manage, when they are playing vinyl 45s. Maybe the off trip needs to be less aggressive?

Friendly staff and quick service with very reasonable prices. Located next to the Spice House Restaurant and provides drinks for their customers; this works exceptionally well.
