This community hall is a well loved venue for many groups. Its terms of hire are fairly friendly. There is some space for parking, break out rooms and a sizeable hall for a party with a stage. However it does look dated and in desperate need for a fresh lick of paint. It can do with a bit of regeneration so that it is more trendy, modern and just fit for the discerning. Perhaps newer lighting, display monitors or large screens and other technological additions will enhance this venue.

I've been to the west indian community centre now on five different occasions the different events I've always had a good time. Stafford nice and pleasant and happy to help with an average selection of drinks available from behind the bar. Never any trouble at the events I've been too either.

Have been coming here for Sunrise events for a number of years. Always feels like a social club/community center, which creates a warmer ambience than a night club type venue. Party goers feel safe and also respectful of fixtures n fittings. As it's clear the regular staff are looking after the smooth running of their place. Thanks to all involved for having us and having us back.

Good venue apart from the miserable bar lady, your attitude stinks! If you're not happy to work there then don't you horrible woman. Would of given 4 stars if not because of her light skinned mixed race woman and old. She put a downer on our event. Thanks a lot

Love this place. Variety of people come here. Always so helpful and can't do enough to help people. Went to an African, English and West Indian mix of food, clothes, jewellery, toys, sweets etc. Absolutely loved it. I'll definitely be going again.

Came here to visit Subdub an the atmosphere was on point. Drinks weren't too over priced but found they can out of most bar 2/3 hours prior to the event ending

All was good apart from the toilets. They need to be updated and cleaned ☹

The West Indian centre for me is a personal great place to go as a wide range of races and cultures can gather there for parties, and events such as the leeds carnival prince and princess show.

West Indian centre is a nice place to meet with the lads have a game of domino's cards and a drink one we keep it simple no trouble just enjoy the company an have a good time yes can we do that less try

Recently refurbished, the West Indian centre is completely different from the old breeze block and flags decor! Definitely worth a look, especially at this year's 50th Leeds Carnival!
