R. P.My thanks go to Morley Lions for their generous donation of £250 in support of my work in Africa. I am due to fly out to Senegal at the end of the month to examine the eyes of the people there (I am an optometrist based in York) and supply spectacles which have been collected by your good selves. They along with many other supporters 1500 pairs have been graded cleaned and packed ready for our luggage. There are fewer professions which can improve someone's quality of life so quickly just by the giving of spectacles. The smiles on the faces demonstrate the value of this work and it is so well appreciated by those who cannot access optometry services. All the best to you all for 2020 (The name given to 'perfect vision'!)
