Great class for beginners and those with experience. Stephen is so welcoming and has been great at helping me find equipment and modify exercises to help with my mobility issues! Really recommend for anyone wanting to try martial arts or get fit in a friendly atmosphere :)

Thanks a lot for the session, it was really enjoyable and you are a great teacher! I won’t be able to join the class since I live too far away to get there regularly. However I would like to thank you a lot for the session and wish you all the best!

I was completely new to martial arts so I didn't really know what I wanted to learn but I love the way they teach a mixture of martial arts and have a set syllabus. I felt like I was learning boxing, Kickboxing, jujitsu and self defence all in the same class which was great value for money!
Also the instructor made it simple to understand and went at my pace so I wasn't feeling lost or confused.
Great fun and an amazing work out!

Class was great fun, the instructor was really involved and made sure to spend time with everyone to help them out. I'll definitely bring my friends down to try it out as well ☺️

I started Bushin a few months ago. Having done martial arts for 5 years in another art, I was open to new ideas of what may come with this one. I am thrilled to say it has been fantastic. My instructor Stephen is a legend, he knows what he's talking about and has a no bs way of getting to a point. He is a lover of martial arts and it shows.
His enthusiasm rubs off onto myself and the other students which creates a great learning environment.
This art is marvellous, the group is a humble yet enthusiastic class of students coming to learn. I felt like I was part of the group the moment I joined. Higher belted student don't have an ego and are happy to help and train along side anyone in the class.
Joining Bushin has been a tremendous experience.

I joined Bushin after a friend of mine was attacked in London and I thought it was a good idea to learn how to defend myself in case something like that happened to me as well. I didn't have any previous experience of self defense or fighting and I thought that this would hold me back, but it was definitely not the case: people in Bushin are so welcoming and nice to each other, always ready to help - it's truly a place for every level, from beginner to black belt. It's much more than a self defense class, it's real street fighting and a super good workout as well , but most importantly, it's great fun! I highly recommend it

Bushin is a practical mixed martial art that helps you to learn essential skills needed to defend yourself in today’s London. Whether it be fighting multiple opponents and learning how to defend against a knife. Not only does it give you the skills to defend yourself it’s also a great workout with a very nice mix of fellow students of mixed abilities. I would highly recommend it.

The best martial art for the streets and real life situations, a mixture of many different martial arts picking and choosing the best techniques of each. Great team very friendly place and Steve is an excellent instructor - extremely worth it!

I first joined Bushin four years ago after I witnessed a street fight because I wanted to learn how to defend myself if I ever got into a similar situation. I considered other martial arts classes but after attending a taster session I felt Bushin was the right one.
It taught a number of disciplines including boxing, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai in an environment that was comfortable to learn in.
You can learn at your own pace and everything that is taught is practical and can be applied to a real life situation.

Most martial arts clubs either teach you a traditional style by an instructor that has not actually tested it themselves as they have not had to use it in a real fight or you have MMA/Muay Thai/Boxing gyms which train you for competition. Bushin uses a range of fighting techniques, that have been tested, and many skills used in MMA and has adapted it for real life situations instead of being focused on competition fighting just for sport. People of a range of experience will be able to learn from complete beginners to trainees with experience. A lot of the old fashioned myths that existed in traditional martial arts have been debunked nowadays mainly due to MMA and Bushin is all about only doing what is effective in a fight.

A nice class, fun people to work out with, a good mix of martial arts and an enthusiastic sansei. The location is pretty easy to get to it’s a 7 minute walk from Pimlico tube station.
