Reviews of Caledonian Club
J. S.
We held a wedding here and can't recommend highly enough. Throughout planning they were attentive and professional, making great suggestions to help us design a day that worked perfectly for us. The staff on the day were discrete, and absolutely professional. Not a glass ran dry during the reception and so much was just done without me having to worry or fuss. The building is beautiful and has a great range of rooms. The food - especially the berry pud and venison on the banqueting menu - was a stand out and they accommodated guests with special dietary needs without a problem. A proper 5 star.
T. H.
Fantastic visit during Open House Weekend to this private member's club. Informative and friendly guide showed us round. Wonderfully kept building.
G. R.
Mexican Embassy Events Hall with very friendly staff and great artwork and generous amounts of Chilled margaritas😊
A. B.
I was here to attend a lecture and book signing given and written by J Richard Smith. A Very Byzantine Journey is a personal and geographical account of the New Testament, with proceeds going to the Womb Transplant UK Charity.
The club houses the largest Mull I have seen ever seen, in addition to other Scottish historical curiosities and paintings.
L. C.
Loved this gorgeous building! Wish I had some Scottish blood in me so that I could be a member!
J. R.
We held a relatively small wedding reception here and it was superb. Fantastic food and service. Thanks!
C. F.
I attended for a wedding and it was top class. Well done to all involved. Thank you.
P. A.
Very plush Gentle Folks club, having admitted ladies a few years back. Many activities. Too staid and conservative for me due to strict dress code and behavior
J. D.
Welcoming staff and great decor inside. Good whisky menu and food price is reasonable.
R. I.
Terrific history to compliment our small get together. The history is much appreciated.
A.
Nice and stylish. Joining the club is about £900 annually. You don't get much in return. But it's a nice building
G. (. M.
Huge place, very well maintained. Staff people were great!
However, very unpleasant décor. Too many dead animals on the wall. Made it all a bit creepy
N. M.
Lovely club. Friendly but proper standards
A. B.
The Scots club off Hyde Park Corner. A private club with a history and one of the best preserved mansions of its type in London.
m. f.
Fantastic place, thank you for hosting a brilliant dinner
P. A.
Wow, absolutely amazing place. Loved everything about it. Thank you too all the staff, for making my night exceptional.
P. B.
I’ve been a member for more than three years and it’s my home in London.. The fellow members are warm and friendly; the staff always pleasant and very accommodating. The facilities are very nice especially the members dining room, business center, men’s changing room, bar and patio. The location is ideal, and the recent changes on our block - The Peninsula hotel, and the Forbes Mansion renovation- should make for an interesting 2020 and beyond
C. C.
My favourite club in London. Admittedly, not a long list. True Scots hospitality, excellent food, very well priced wine and great service make for a formidable combination. It would be 5* but for the 1960s insistence on ties and jackets...
E. M.
Nice venue but I urge caution when organising events there. Make sure everything is agreed in advance and read the bill carefully
K. M.
Very nice building and professional staff.
My fiance and I visited The Caledonian Club as a potential reception venue for our wedding. We really liked the venue and the professionalism and warmth of the staff we dealt with during the enquiry process. In the end, we decided to go for a different option, due to our budget restrictions, but I am sure that we would have had a great wedding reception at The Caledonian Club too, had we gone with the option.
The building is beautiful and feels very premium. There are many different room options, based on the type of event you have and space you need. Abigail was very helpful in answering any questions I had and arranging the visit.
T. K.
We have a weekly business meeting there and the setting, meeting rooms are great.
A. G.
Very Scottish club. Great style. Very civilised bar and restaurant. Food good. Many other places would have tables crammed together and v noisy. Not at the Caledonian. Jacket & tie required. Good for a party if one of you is a member.
J. H.
History, service and value all in one. Highly recommended.
G. G.
Nice place. Friendly staff. Feels exclusive. Good washrooms. Lunch is a bit messy grabbing a plate and standing around in very busy rooms with limited seating and old house layout.
M. G.
Wonderful private member's club. Do events too.
The bar has a wonderful whisky selection as well as a few cigars. Lots of amenities. Worth looking into..

L. I. N.
Beautiful place with incredible staff.
A. D.
A classic London club and with a strong Scottish theme. Pleasant surroundings in a posh part of London. The bar has an enviable collection of whiskies - for drinking.
S. M.
I run the London Ag Club luncheons at the Caledonian Club each quarter. The staff is fantastic, the service provided is the best I've seen in London, and the food has always impressed our guests. We are thrilled to use the Caledonian Club for our events, and I have been there during several evening socials (birthdays and weddings) and I must say they have one of the two raised wooden dance floors that exist in the entire city of London in THEIR ballroom, and the guests at these weddings made great use of them! The club and its charming, Edwardian style architecture make it a true gem in the heart of Belgravia, London.
Y. M.
Home away from home. Beautifully tucked away, this place has a lot of history and plenty of rooms. There is a bar, restaurant and the food is always amazing. It is a private members club, the staff are so friendly and welcoming and so are the members.
J. S.
An unbeatable location for a wedding. The ability to use all rooms means that the reception, the meal and the dancing do not encroach on each other. The staff were wonderful, particularly Abigail whose organisation was priceless.
M. P.
Nice club with good staff;)
I. E.
Attended friend’s wedding there. The club is impressive without being pretentious. The staff was very welcoming and polite.
B. Y.
Bit dated but if your a member reasonably priced place to stay in Central London
M. M.
Annuak alumni lunch for old boys of Beaumont College. A solid Scottish meal of smoked salmon followed by steak and kidney pie. Washed down with a robust red called Chateau Beaumont.
I. C.
Mayfair very upmarket. Jackets and ties. Warm and welcoming in Scottish ambiance. Huge variety of Scotch Whiskies. Oasis of calm in the metropolis.
A. M.
Excellent - very comfortable, quiet club, not pompous, beautiful, peaceful and very nice food for reasonable prices. Nice fireplaces, whisky selection and themed dinner nights.
A. B.

Scots with a smattering of RP English. Home away from home. Can be a wee bit over the top on tartan, but great for gatherings down south.
