Reviews of Hornsey Vale Community Centre

Visited for the first time to shop at the Green Christmas Fair. Made some top purchases and imbibed mulled wine and delicious mince pies.

This is a fantastic local community centre with a friendly team and a range of activities for all ages. The hall and gym (complete with old school wooden climbing bars) work for all kinds of things - I’ve been there variously for kids birthday parties, fairs, Pilates, Zumba and even panto. The hire rates seem reasonable and the kitchen well equipped.

Great place with lots of activities for adults and children.

This is a very historic yet humble place, reflecting the origins of the area, it's geography (a valley between the nearby hills), how it adapts to community needs and withstands tides of times and changes of ideology. It is a polling station, an adults services, kids taekwondo, and an auxiliary to a nearby Weston Park Primary, and a birthday and a wedding venue. It had been a family-friendly public restroom for users of Stationers Park (always clean, stocked and tidy) (though occasionally the doors are locked), source of fruit-veg deliveries from nearby farms to urban dwellers, and a habitat of gnomes. The only thing it does not do is clean the dog poo from the streets and host a dog toilet.

Not for profit centre. They have gatherings for Transition Crouch End including the annual Alternative Clothes Show. They have a lunch club for seniors playgroup for little people and a varied program of community activities. Crop Drop organic bag scheme were and may still be sorting vegatables there. Alternatibe health clinics. Wr neef more places like this. Sometimes the web page has not been updated so check by phone before turning up.

Indoor basketball facilities were good and changing rooms clean and tidy. Floor is a bit slippery so be careful as you run around.

Usual local community centre. Hosts lots of different activities and classes for children all ages. Had a few problems getting in for classes when reception is shut but that's all

Lovely little spot - even to just chill in the courtyard by the art mural and planters

Never been but I am sure it's lovely.
