To witness the extreme beauty and size of the Houses of Parliament is incredible.
To know how many important people, including the Queen has actually walked in this incredible and remarkable historic venue is mind blowing.
Crossing the bridge and getting closer is such an exciting feeling and until you have experienced this, you will never know the magnitude of this gorgeous building.
N. Y.
A place once ruled three quarters of the world, incredible looking building with Big Ben in its side
R. K.
Stunning place. Went to watch a few debates in the House of Lords. Architecture is amazing and worth a visit in these new secure times.
As my gran would say “if you ignore what they say and look at their body language you can tell more about a politician in about 2 seconds”

Amazing history and tour guide ‘Phil’ was extremely knowledgeable and funny. Required disable access for one of my party and that was very well accommodated. What an incredible place, oozing with history, tradition and quirkiness. Great throughout. Arrive a good 10 minutes early to clear airport style security and walk through to the starting point. No photos except in Westminster Hall.

A beautiful early spring day in London. Parliament always seems to have scaffolding around it, showing it's age. I'm glad they're looking after it.

We took the 90 min guided tour and thought it was absolutely brilliant. Our tour started at the Queens staircase and followed the route that the queen would take for the State opening of Parliament. We stopped at numerous rooms and places of interest throughout the building, with our guide providing a highly entertaining and interesting talk drawing on his knowledge of the building, its function, its place in history, plus many useful and amusing anecdotes. The tour includes the commons chamber and the Lords chamber, plus Westminster Hall. There are a fabulous number of sculptures, paintings, artefacts and decorations to be viewed and having had this wonderful introduction, I’d like to do the tour again but with the self-guided audio tour so I could linger over points of interest.
The tour runs on Saturdays throughout the year and on most weekdays when Parliament is not in session. The tour costs £22 for age 60 and over, there is an option to add on afternoon tea or just use the cafe on site.
For our tour there was a fair amount of walking involved and a number of steps to be navigated, so customers with mobility issues should check to see if their needs can be catered for on this tour.
Would wholeheartedly recommend this interesting and absorbing tour.

The ticket arrived for a evening event in the house of commons months in advance along with ex Man city legends and other business owners from around the UK.
Upon arrival in the November walking past the first set of security armed police, down a slope to a building that had airport scanners and another dozen or so armed police searched head to toe and away we went having strict instructions of where to go we entered Westminster it was grand, walking past Nelson Mandela plaque on the floor and up the staircase a left turn to oak panelled walls and ceilings with rich green carpets embroidered in history!
Champagne flutes full upon arrival to the grand outdoor marquee where alcoholic beverages were flowing from beers to champagne.
7pm bells rang to then go to this room for evening meal and a luxury goods auction food was great wine was a good idea at the time along with whiskey.
Gloria hunniford and her husband Stephen made a dramatic entrance extremely late but nevertheless a great evening.
Didn't explore the HOP but having been inside where many people just wonder what it's like this is a very clip of inside on a eventful night it was brilliant.
5/5 food
5/5 beverages
5/5 entertainment
5/5 overall

We booked into a tour of the Houses of Parliament for yesterday. Our tour guide was Rebecca and I have to say she was brilliant! ..... she has vast knowledge of both the history of the Government and how they work to the present day. The tour was extremely interesting and it was fantastic to actually stand within the chambers. The information helped us to expand our existing knowledge further and learn more about our government and how they work. Thank you for an amazing tour. We definitely recommend it to anyone if you want to learn more about how the government works on a daily basis.

The UK parliament building is one historic beautiful building and a major icon of Great Britain. Although I'm not sure if the public can enter inside the parliament houses, it's still magnificent to see from the outside.
M. M.
Great to see the seat of democracy in the UK. A life-long ambition completed. We did the audio tour which we thought was more worth it than the guide led tours, which kept overtaking us. The audio tour was cheaper also. There was a special kids version of the audio tour also; our two kids 9 and 11, remained interested!
S. C.
Pretty cool to visit. I would recommend it to anyone. Unfortunately to be able to visit you need to email the parliament or your current MP. Not sure if it's open for tourists.
E. H.
Very slay. In year 6 I went and watched a debate but I was stupid and had no no idea what they were talking about. I also met Jo Johnson (Bojo’s bro) and he was having a interview. There was police outside with guns and it was a little intimidating as I was only like 11. I also saw when the queen will be placed when she dies and it was very dark and gloomy there but All together it was slay. Xoxoxox
N. B. H.
Definitely enjoyed the visit. Too bad the outside and some of the inside is under major construction. Tour guide was very informative and I now understand the British system better.
D. C.
A stunning building that never ceases to impress. The tour is highly recommended.
J. O.
Beautiful historical building. I had a family tour which I thought could have been a bit more evenly split with facts and details to suit everyone, not just little kids. Perhaps should have been entitled childrens tour. I would've loved to have taken more photos, but so many restrictions were imposed. I would love to go again with an adult guided tour package.

Steeped in history, the Palace of Westminster is one of the most historic landmarks in the United Kingdom and a must-see for any traveller or local. The views from the Terrace Pavillion are worth the wait and staff are very courteous throughout the process. It is best not to bring a bag with you as there is no cloakroom so you will have to carry around.
M. f.
I have taken the tour 6 times and recommend it to anyone who has even a slight interest in British history and politics. I ask may questions and the guides have all the answers. I find something new each time. I particularity like the Prince's Chamber. Always a pleasant experience, tight security but not too intrusive. Cafe reasonable and your standard fare. Put on your to do list when visiting the city.
K. H. L.
A place loaded with history. I had an excellent guided tour. All the questions I had was brilliantly answered — the best part of an abysmal day. I highly recommend the tour here

Often one of the first images that springs to mind when you think of London, the House of Parliament which rests upon the banks of the River Thames in Westminster. Also referred to as the Palace of Westminster, this is an incredibly popular attraction alongside the Elizabeth Tower and the historic and important Westminster Abbey found just behind the Palace.
The House of Parliament was built between 1840-1870 after its predecessor was destroyed by fire in 1834. It is a lovely building, with an elaborate Gothic style exterior and it is a beautiful building to see up close. However, for better pictures, it is best to put a bit of distance between yourself and the Palace. We particularly enjoy views from across the River Thames where you can see the Palace building clearly with the river in the foreground.
At dusk, the House of Parliament is lit by floodlights, allowing it to radiate against the skyline. This continues through the night and views of the building are from across the river as well as the entire walk towards across Westminster Bridge as you approach the Palace building. Obviously, views from the London Eye capsules are quite impressive as well.
Visits to the Parliament Building can be arranged for overseas visitors on Saturdays and weekdays when Parliament isn't in session. Refer to the Parliament website for details.
When visiting, its also worth your time to make a quick visit to Parliament Square, which boasts many statues and monuments to important historic figures. You will also want to visit the impressive Westminster Abbey as well. Collectively, this makes a great way to spend 2-3 hours in London before moving onto other areas.
M. W.
Amazing building! If the big ben is not under renovation. I think the photos will be better.
G. M.
It was a sight to behold - seeing British architecture's finest landmarks.
D. P.
Now my favourite landmark, the building is stunning, one of a kind, and parts of it are over a 1000 years old.
Security can take 5 to 30 minutes to clear depending on time.
Gift shop inside has exclusive wines, whisky, gin, port plus other good gifts.
No allowed to take pictures in some areas.
T. !.
Awesome and historical significance and full of beauty. Visited UK Houses of Parliament twice. would defo recommend!
E. C.
I've never really been one for politics and didn't really know what to expect from the audio tour of the Houses. But in fact, this was one of the best audio tours that I've ever had.
The Palace of Westminster and Big Ben are structurally stunning, but being able to actually experience how the houses operate from the inside just gave me a whole new appreciation. Not only will you get a glimpse of the physical chambers, but you'll also get to learn about the Houses work together to make decisions. There's also some great information about the history of the architecture sprinkled in between.
Since the Houses are still active, no pictures of the Parliament chambers are allowed. Pictures can only be taken in the Westminster Hall and Steven's Hall. Guided tours are also available (not sure if this is still the case during COVID), but the self guided audio tour is wonderful and allows you to go at your own pace. Steven's Hall is absolutely gorgeous! The wall murals and stained glass are truly immaculate. This is also a great place to take a little break before finishing out the tour.
This was definitely a favorite London activity of mine and I'd recommend it to others who are touring the area.
H. E.
Iconic of course. Beautiful buildings in a majestic setting on the river. I very much approve of the much needed repair to the outside of the entire building.
M. O.
I really liked this place, I want to go to United Kingdom.
W. W.
Although it is having extensive restoration work done and clearly needs TLC in certain areas, this is one of the London's most iconic buildings. I was lucky enough to be at a reception in the Terrace Pavilion where the views were glorious. The food was exceptional too. Worth a visitor ticket and tour.
M. W.
Visited the house of Parliament once. An impressive building, in one of the oldest democracies of the world.
G. V.
these were my favourite building in London.
A.
Great tour of the Houses of Parliament. Get to see both the House of Commons and House of Lords. Security line is a bit long and it is fairly crowded inside but the tour allows you to see exactly where the Lords and MPs do their actual work and not from afar. Building also has many interesting facts that people won’t get to know about unless they visit. I showed up late for my tour but the staff were able to accommodate me on a following tour instead of not being able to go on a tour entirely.
C. C.
Very interesting but took off a star as there was too much standing as.commoners cant sit in the lower gallery on the tour. Not very considerate but great guide and very interesting.
S. H.
Certainly one of my favourite places at times, honestly speaking as someone who has seizures least I can say I am continually intrigued by the ceiling views amazing craftsmanship.
can't wait till the scaffolding comes back down in a few years, In the meantime though home to some incredible staff especially the security and stewards etc 👍
M. D.
Amazing tour guide showed us many secrets of this beautiful building
A. C.
Beautiful photography spot!
N. R.
A powerful building, steeped in the history of our land. Fascinating to visit and see the debating chambers with your own eyes.
M. B.
Such an amazing place, we took the family guided tour and our amazing tour guide Diana gave us so much information and made it fun. Must visit for everyone.
H. R.
it was a fun really Enjoyed
J. K.
Amazing place, be sure to get a guide, as there is way to much things to learn!!
C. L.
The houses of parliament are the seat of power for the united kingdom. A stunning working government building
S. R.
Really interesting place to visit. I'd like to say this is on of the heart of London even the heart of England.
D. B.
The world's best administration focusing on the welfare of its citizens..
G.
Great iconic building next to the Elizabeth Tower (with the Big Ben). Sadly, it was under construction when I visited.
A. A.
Lovely tour around, staff are amazing and very friendly.
K. H.
Very beautiful, can feel the parliament when I staied inside! The is the best
S. W.
It's a beautiful building deserving of 5 stars but it's filled to the brim with evil so I'm only giving it 3. It's a shame when the filling spoils the pie.
P. K.
Good place to see.
T. M.
Larger than I expected. Big Ben was under construction, but still fun to see on the Westminster Bridge.
D. P.
Fascinating to see so much living history.
S. K.
What can you say about one of the most iconic buildings in the world other than I was humbled to be there and loved every mi it’s of it. Wow
I. E.
It was a day to remember!!! It's a must visit place! Historical , beautiful, interesting , intriguing, educational ... not possible to list all the feelings . We went on a school visit and all the kids loved it. They even got to see their local MP and grilled him with many questions. Make sure you visit the place before it's closed for a very long renovation. The house of Lords , the House of Commons...just go and admire the history and at the same time be part of tomorrow's history.
T. Y.
The biggest clock I’ve seen. Beautiful. Will come back at 2021 to see it finished for sure!
T. o.
Went on the guided tour, one of the most interesting buildings well worth a visit
A. A.
I attended the Houses of Parliament as part of a group tour and we used the audio tour. The place itself was very impressive and had it was amazing to see inside. The audio tour wasn't very engaging and was quite boring - there were tour guides guiding groups around and from what I heard from each of the guides, that was a much better way to learn about everything. Much more engaging and interesting.
I.
Majestic. The St. Stephen’s entrance provides different angles of calm structures of the building. Beautiful
K. W.
Visited with a school trip, it has lots of history, I was interested especially in the suffragettes. i wished I knew it was going to be like an airport when I got there, as I wouldn't have worn a belt. I hope they don't spend the millions on the building to bring it up to scratch, when that money would be better spent on other services. It was a nice experience to see where the queen sits etc. The kids loved it.
M. M.
Loved this. Most tourist sites were packed last week but this was much quieter. No queues. Absolutely fascinating and amazing how much you get to see. The House of Commons is tiny! We opted for the audio tour which is great.
C. G.
Cannot recommend a fully guided tour enough. Was an amazing experience, full of wonderful history and amazing sights. It was almost two full hours; and there was still plenty left to see. Our guide was fantastic with keeping us moving at a comfortable pace and was a depth of knowledge.
C. S.
How can you miss this bastion of British democracy, the mother of all parliaments?
V. S.
I would highly recommend a guided tour. Our guide Mrs Berliner was absolutely amazing! She was really knowledgeable and answered any questions we could throw her way. The inside is beautiful and the house of commons is actually a lot smaller than you think! Thank you for our brilliant tour, massively enjoyed it.
P. W.
Thoroughly enjoyed our guided tour of this magnificent building. To be be shown through the different individual rooms and have it explained how they are part of process of government was wonderful.
Our guide Laura, was very good, thoughtful, answering questions and caring for those who needed that little extra help. Will certainly be visiting again.
m. d.
Truly stunning. Amazing to walk around the Commons and House of Lords. Brought to life by a great guide (Phil). One minor- no photography. Not sure what damage we could do...but highly recommended
P. F.
Our guide was so informative and animated. He made the tour extremely interesting and was obviously very proud of his position. The building was magnificent and full of history. Would definitely visit again.
A. S.
Amazing & Historical Building.
R. C.
Worth seeing if you get the chance, with some lovely bits, like the Queen's Gallery and, obviously, the two chambers. It has an obvious feeling of history, but a lot of it is just rather tatty offices in need of refurbishment and much of it is off bounds to the general public. The security is much improved though.
G. B.
It great to be able to see inside the Houses of Parliament for free and there are several ways of doing just that. Contact your MP and ask for a tour. On any weekday when in session you can view from the public gallery. On Saturdays throughout the year you can have an English guided tour. I belive that it is the world's most iconic building constructed around 1066 and rebuilt between 1840 and 1876. Now you know have a go.
D. M.
Well worth a visit.
90 minute tour was excellent. The guide, Kate, was extremely knowledgeable and had a wonderful style. Visited both the Commons and the Lords.
I would highly recommend if you are interested in our history, parts of the building go back to 1097.
P. T.
Amazing place to visit. It has a combination of history, architecture and a sense of political and cultural importance. Really worth it for any visitor to london. Best to look into booking a tour, and Parliamentary recesses are the best time to get a good look round.
D. H.
The Mother of all parliaments comes with the Father of all restaurants! Modern fine dining British cuisine, beautifully presented and just divine, sourced locally! Service was exceptional.
Understandably there is a dress code and security checks at the entrance. We shall definitely go again.
S. F.
The tours of parliament are fascinating. The guides are supremely knowledgeable and deliver their material well. It's great to stand where some momentous happenings in British history have gone down.
K. J. M.
nice
A. S.
I took my 6 year old and the whole place was impressive.
M. F.
Fascinating and glorious buildings. Glorious history combined with democracy in action.
J. S. 1.
A place where history is written. A majestic place, where architecture, art and law transport you to the past. How amazing a place like this is well maintained. Most important, the relevance of this building is that, it is the place where decisions are taken to build and plan the future of the UK society. Nice experience to see how politicians debate, and frequently are not agree about what the best policies are for the UK. A highly recommended place to learn about UK politics and to see how sensitive and important decisions can be made to change the future of the country.
L. D.
Having had the honour of sitting in a parliamentary round table meeting this is a beautiful historic building. Entrance to tourists is £25 and it is definitely worth the money. Having been there for business I can say I really enjoyed the historical feel and if anyone needs help viewing I am available weekends.
I live in the city and also work for the city so feel free to contact me for help getting around and seeing the sights.
M. L.
Old, iconic, and lovely. We were EXTREMELY fortunate to meet a wonderful chap in Oban who works at the HoP and gave us a personal tour that will never be forgotten. The stark difference between the House of Commons and the House of Lords is very, uh, stark. Amazing all around to see where you Brits hash it out.
P. C.
A historical place, always wanted to experience, bit expensive but worth it. Full day is needed, most areas you are allowed to photograph apart from main parliament seating area. Audio guide is available or may go for live tour with extra.
A place highly recommended to visit if you are in London for tourism purpose.
D. J.
Avery impressive location.
You can even stay and listen to some debates in one of the houses.
You never know what they will be taking about (probably bore you to sleep but you never know).
A. N. W. A.
Had a great experience out there. Amazing place!
M. H.
Amazing experience. You can also attend the meeting of the members of the parliament.
M. R.
The tour takes you through the same route the Queen takes during the opening of parliament. You'll see both houses and some additional areas. It's humbling to be able to walk in those areas. Private tour highly recommended.
T. H.
Richard was an inspiring and motivated tour guide. the cosy atmosphere during this evening tour was beautiful. pity that pictures are not allowed at all. a beautiful must see place with so much history!
P. v.
Went with the primary school on a trip. Great fun. The guide was great, friendly and knowledgeable.
I'm just sad they weren't all there I would have loved to say something disparaging to Alexander Boris D'Pfeffel Johnson.
T. B.
The interior is larger and more ornate than I had expected, The chambers are much smaller than I imagined and only take up a relatively small area of the palace. I was very moved by the shield above the current opposition benches dedicated to the memory of Jo Cox MP designed by her children. The palace contains many beautiful/ interesting statues, busts, paintings and frescos. It is well worth a visit.
I also had afternoon tea on the terrace overlooking the Thames with my friends, considering the unique view the cost of the guided tour and afternoon tea at £52 was well worth the money.
R. D.
Nasty toilets, definitely not clean... Probably they are still keeping Richard's the First standards... Check points populated with polite policemans (that's a new one... Perhaps just because Parliament...). But the architecture is brilliant.
J. ;.
Pretty nice from the outside, didnt allow me to bring my Boeing 747-400ER inside with me unfortunately. Some questionable people inside but we roll with it. But please allow my dear G-BNLY 747 inside please :)
I. B.
Wrote to my MP and asked if we could have a tour around the Houses of Parliament, a very good experience to see how the government work on s daily basis. Visits to borne the House of Commons and the House of Lords, including the history of the building by a very informative guide. And cost nothing to go in . Pictures cannot be taken inside. Cafe and souvenir shop available. The democratic tour takes about an hour and a half and very well worth it.
D. J.
Well worth a visit and a guided tour to understand some of the history and ceremony behind our political system. Just a shame there is currently a lot of improvement and restoration work going on at the minute so a lot of the building is shrouded in scaffolding.
E. A.
Fascinating, educational and memorable tour through the Houses of Parliament today. Fabulous, historic edifice full of history and memorable artwork. The guide (Richard) was top notch both in his manner and in his story telling (and answering questions). This was my first time (even though I was born and raised in the UK until I got my PhD at 23 and immediately left for the US (and leaving as soon as 45 got voted in)
K. I.
You can't miss it when your are by The Thames. Great structure.
S. B.
We took the guided tour. Our guide, Linden, was funny and knowledgeable, I really enjoyed it. We saw both Houses, the Queen's robing room, and more. Be sure to buy your tickets online and get there 20-30 minutes before your tour time to allow time for the lines to get through security.
a. v.
Well worth the ticket. We bought a guided tour with afternoon tea and had a splendid time. The guide was very entertaining and the building itself is a treasure of history. Just marvelous.
C. D.
Had an amazing time in here, full of history and interesting facts. Well organised. Could have spent a whole day there but we had other things planned. Cafe do meal deals too and food is nice.
K. K.
Be prepared to queue to get through security for a long time . Not very well signposted when you are through security if it is dark or someone stands in front of the one small sign showing where to go. Gift shop & loos inside. Very historic, fabulous architecture to photograph
l.
A brilliant, compelling tour and very friendly tour guide. However I wish they pointed out more of the architectural symbolism. Boris head mugs available at the gift shop!
C. O.
Fantastic historical place, great tour guide and saw several MPs. Very busy when we went (Brexit) and great drinks on a lively evening in October. Thoroughly recommend a trip to the seat of democracy!!
R.
Decent overall, could use some updated architecture.
P. C.
Excellent place to visit if able were invited by our MP
A. A. N.
Historical palace , currently serving as the parliament.
C. C.
So happy to see this in person! ❤️
K. H.
Only managed to visit Westminster Hall as we weren't able to get tickets to visit the houses of parliament. Westminster Hall is stunning, full of our countries history. Imaginations run riot with the reality of the birth of democracy, Cromwell, Kings, Courts..Intend to return and ensure we get tickets upfront to see and breath in as much as possible.
Be prepared to queue
M. O.
I love the history of the place, and the guide really knew her stuff(full marks). You also get to stand behind the prime ministers seat in the commons so you get a sense of the power. At 1hour and 40 minutes maybe a tad too long.
W. M.
Proud and temple of Democracy !!!!
C. R. B.
The Houses of Parliament shop is located at 12 Bridge Street on the corner of Parliament Square and is accessible to all. The shop stocks an attractive range of gifts and souvenirs. The shop also stocks all current parliamentary documents and specialises in books relating to the UK Parliament and UK Government.
J. B.
Such an impressive elaborately decorated part of our political and aristocratic history
S. W.
A fabulous time exploring the Houses of Parliament on a Democratic access tour. These can be organised through your local MP as long as you are a UK resident in that constituency.
Ours was arranged a few months out and we had a great experience seeing Westminster Hall, the Commons, the Lords and the Terrace. Whilst getting some interesting facts from our local MPs office Westminster representative.
T. S.
Great to see, well worth a visit
E. W.
I didn't know you could tour the Houses of Parliament! I was lucky enough to attend a guided tour, by the awesome Daniella, as a group of 20. I would highly recomment it but they also have a slightly cheaper alternative of a self guided tour. The tour follows the route of the Queen when she opens Parliament each year - from the Robing Room, to the House of Lords through to the House of Commons. Daniella provided tonnes of amazing facts throughout and explained each room in detail which was easily audible to the entire group. There is something for everyone - history, politics and architecture. There is also currently an exhibition on Women obtaining the Vote in England, which is really interesting and thought provoking. A truly awesome 2 hours which I would recommend to anyone.
J. L.
Brilliant tour so much history and a very knowledgeable guide. An easy walk from Waterloo Station. Fantastic day out and definitely value for money.
J. D.
What can you say that hasn't already been said about this place. One of the most famous buildings in the world. As I'm sure everyone says, it's seems smaller than it appears on TV. Security and staff are all very helpful and professional.
J. S.
I was very excited to visit this venerable establishment. Imagine my utter and unbounded joy when I found out that the Circus was there for that week.
p. b.
Unfortunately Elizabeth Tower was covered in scaffolding at the time of our visit in addition to other ongoing building /renovation projects that are in full view of the visitors. I appreciate that this work is needed. The Palace of Westminster was amazing less amazing was the attitude of one member of staff who was rude, patronising and a total disgrace. I'm sure I saw a statue of Enoch Powell but was hurriedly move along. Was it Enoch Powell?
P. F.
Fabulous crumbling but spectacular edifice. Not only is it the full time mother of all parliaments, but the medieval Westminster Hall and the TV famous central lobby are freely accessed once you have been through security.
B. O.
The detail in the architecture is just lovely. It's buildings like this that give the city its beauty. Unfortunately Big Ben is under scaffolding for much needed repairs. Hopefully it won't be like that much longer.
J. M.
Historic buildings albeit covered in scaffolding so one could not fully enjoy the architecture.
S. H.
Increadble oolde building and an amazing array of bars and resteruant s with amazing pricing. If I worked here I would also get very little done . Great location , fantastic transport links. Security is comforting.
P. W.
We were privileged to go to a wonderful birthday party held in the Churchill Room today. A most enjoyable experience complete with drinks on the terrace. Brilliant hospitality and history combined.
D. P.
Very interesting. I took a guide who led us through the house of parliament and explained everything there possibly could about the houses. It was also very interactive and as a total fun to be there!!
J. W.
History great free place to visit take own food where possible restaurant Ltd cafe small and busy. Easy to but all 30 minutes for security clearance go online and book a tour
P. R.
I joined a tour of local constituents organised by my local MP. It was wonderful. This is a MUST visit. Viewing the Commons Chamber, and the division lobbies up close, where history has been made for many centuries is unimaginable.
M. T.
This is one of the unique places in London. For those who are intersted on History and how the British polyunsaturated works and how the two houses interact, this is a gold mine. The building is historical with plenty of paintings and beautiful architecture. If lucky, one can view as Parliamentarians debate. If the houses are vacant, one can vist the actual rooms where discussions happens.
S. A.
It was a nice experience to get guided by official tour lastanbout 90 minutes. About house of Commens and house of Lords. In addition to many stories held behind the the parliament. Its a symbol of democracy and the first parlement for people in the world. Defenatly it deserves to be visited.
R. D.
Please don’t miss the Houses of Parliament. These used to be the Royal residences and are extremely ornate and gorgeous. There are also so many amazing stories and tales - comical and interesting and fascinating - about British history and rituals. The best thing in London is the Houses of Parliament.
I. C.
History whispers through the very walls of this beautiful place. Timeless. Imposing. Deep in the bowels of the building it houses Stranger's the bar exclusively for MPs and their guests.
D. N.
Very nice experience. We did the audio tour which I think is detailed enough and you still get up close to the commons and lords. Limited photography is allowed.
P. H.
Really enjoyed our visit to the Houses of Parliament. It's something that I've wanted to do for years. The sense of history and how the traditions have carried on is fascinating.
G. C.
Brilliant tour. Very informative really interesting stories about the traditions of the place lovely pictures and statues all over and amazingly the whole place was spotless
P. N. A. G.
This for me is the best place on earth. If I could die here. Would be a tremendous life worth living.
I'm building a legacy for my children that follow my whorship.
The law divides parliamentary Sovereignty above all other judiciary inside the UK..
It is really amazing to attend.
Just wish I could be there full time.
To get a magical scripture.
An do my radio live with my own fresh news articles.
Proclamation News an Gatherence
I. L.
I won’t talk about the government but the Houses of Parliament is a beautiful building which has witnessed many events that have shaped the world.
S. G.
The Parliament of the United Kingdom is one of the oldest representative assemblies in the world. The site of the Houses of Parliament is the Palace of Westminster, a royal palace and former residence of kings on the River Thames. The layout of the palace is intricate, with its existing buildings containing nearly 1,200 rooms, 100 staircases, and well more than two miles of hallways. Westminster is the nearest station to get this landmark.
A. M.
If you get a chance to take the tour. Do it! Absolutely fantastic! So interesting. Apply via your MP and the tour is free. Recommended.

Having done the tour twice I have to say it’s an impressive building. I love the architecture and the staff was nice but listening to the audio guide is nerve wrecking as it’s too long. One is not able to concentrate for that long. Especially if you aren’t really interested in politics in general
H. C. H.
Very spectacular building
P. C.
Whilst this was not a full visit, just afternoon tea on the terrace overlooking the Thames, it was a memorable experience. A lovely tea, sandwiches, cakes and scones and cream. A talk by the head of Momentum Children's Charity, Bianca, and MP Zac Goldsmith as well as a sad, but inspiring film of families dealing with cancer to mark the Charity's 15th anniversary.
I have been here before for a complete tour, which was fabulous.
We began by climbing the stairs up to Big Ben and heard it strike the midday.
After this, we went to the Queen's entrance, saw the room where she robed and then the House of Lords with all its green and gold the thrones and the 'wool sack '.
We walked through the Central Lobby to the House of Commons. Amazing. It is so small, no wonder you see so many MP's standing!!!
There are so many stories and anecdotes surrounding the Houses of Parliament and the peripheral rooms and corridors that it really was the most wonderful day.
I would highly recommend trying to arrange a tour, although Big Ben is not ringing at the moment and I do not know whether you are able to walk up the tower.
R. L.
Home to Britain's lawmakers, regardless of your politics, this is a place you must come and visit. There are tours offered and if you write to your MP beforehand you can get some unique tours not offered to the public.
C. G.
One of the best place in London to visit. It's architecture is amazing although it was built before 158 years . Big Ben is the nickname for the Great Bell of the clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London and is usually extended to refer to both the clock and the clock tower. It's a 11 story building and 315 feet hight. It's a golden colored building.
H. A.
Amazing place. Serious security checks
s. b.
I went here recently and it is great to see were the debates in parliament unfold, whether you choose the audio tour or a guided tour it is great either way.
P. L.
Took the audio tour... Very good tour... Get a lot more access to the chambers than I expected... Must visit if you have any interest in how the country is run
B. B.
as an american, this building is known for oppressing me and culture. after saying my mind to the armed guard, and using a butter knife without a licence, i was tackled to the ground and complimented on my good dental health. very fun experience for the entire family, or if you're British, fauimluy.
M. B.
History pure. This place is in my opinion a must do to see.I can't believe I haven't been there before on one of my previous London trips.
J. B.
Iconic British landmark.
S. D.
An old style large splendid building which seems to have a Gothic exterior. It was in restoration in March and someone was singing at a instruments. It is better to visit it at least at 4 pm, better earlier.
N. M.
I was lucky enough to be able to sit on a session back in 1994 when they would let people go in and listen to debates inside Parliament
P. D.
Refreshing that you can visit here at anytime, within reason, and ask to see your MP in the lobby. Those awful "get Brexit done" members of the public who keep waffling on about lack of democracy need to remember that we have parliament for a reason. MPs are there to insulate the country from populist poor thinking. Use them. Prevent fools from having a say.
K. “. M.
The Queen Elizabeth Tower which houses the Big Ben bell was completely closed off and under construction, was dissapointing as I would not want to go if I couldnt get close to take pictures. I'm sure there would have been other things to do but i was able to get some good pics from the London Eye.
B. J.
A thoroughly enjoyed the time is now movement I didn't think I would but I did I really feel part of something bigger than me.
For the 20th of SeptemberExtinction rebellion are going around London to try and bring attention to members of Parliament in the rest of the world really so come-on people if you have anything going on for the future then the time is now West to rebel against not does their extinction of animalsAt the extinction of humans to to come-on people join hands join the love train
P. C.
All people should visit this place, to get a real feel and understanding of how the parliamentary system works. A guided tour is a must. Thanks to our MP Ben Bradley for arranging the opportunity.
E. H.
What a magnificent building. This is a testament to the architecture of the time. People may not agree with the politicians views but they must admit, it is a very impressive building.
A. S.
A beautiful and historic meeting place for lots of over paid and under qualified people of privileged background to argue like kids in a playground, and then make decisions that effect everyone in the UK. Interesting.....
V. V.
I was impressed by the tour. Wonderful to be able to see the history. Step through the House of Commons and House of Lords. Can reserve a table for tea afterwards too.
J. C.
A place makes difference for the.country and his people.
Y. G.

A. D.
Amazing experience.
Fantastic architecture.
Worth the money.
Reccomend the audio tour.
Brilliant to visit the same room as mp and lords.
R.
Full of history but Pugin decor is a bit over the top and maybe tacky. Needs a lot of repair to bring it up to date functionality for its users. Westminster Hall is stunning.
B. H.
Fantastic tour. The adult tour was a bit hard for the kids, but we learned a lot and we're able to fill in the gaps for the kids later. If you can book a tour early as this is not a good last minute visit. The history of the world is very wrapped up in this building.
S. N.
Audio tour was very interesting and really complements the environment. All of the staff were really helpful.
Great to see both chambers where so many laws are made.
V. C.
A historic building full of culture. Tourists flock from all over the world to see this place. You can go online to book tickets and explore inside it. Hard to believe that it had been here for week over 100 years. It is also next to Big Ben and the Palace of Westminster which are also particularly popular. The ministers and civil service workers that control the country work in and around this complex.
R. T.
One of the best architectural buildings in the world. A must to visit. I have been many times and always find myself amazed
C. F.
Loved the tour! Did the guided tour, but will do the self guided tour next time in order to spend more time in each area.

Always a pleasant experience even if getting through security is a bit of a faff. Beautiful architecture inside, especially the Lords.

I. S.
Our tour guide, Felix, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and his wit made the experience memorable.
L. S. L.

Nice Building
A.
Nice enough. Occassionally full of moppets and currently experiencing a lot of turnover. Tourists seem to be very excited about it.
K.
Amazing definitly recommended 🧡🧡
D. B.
Full of unimportant people making decisions that usually are about self interest or have no clues for example brexit. Never a protest when their pay rise is above inflation 🤨
A. G.
Much better personnel running the show in there now. The Commons has been great since Dec 12th.
P. F.
We went on a school trip. Sophie the guide was lovely and very knowledgeable. Our children loved it.

S. B.
Very interesting place. Good training activity at the end. Will visit and bring students again
P.
I really enjoyed going here, I went on a tour of the building, the tour guides are very helpful but I'll recommend going whilst the politicians are not in recess because it's a lot more entertaining!
M. Z.
Live is not easy. Unfortunately, anyone sometimes needs a ‘’refreshment’’. Even a notables and magnificent public buildings in September 2017.
B. E.

The best view to the House of Parliament is actually from Westminster Bridge!! Don't miss taking a picture next to Statue of Winston Churchill, at Parliament Square

F. V.
The houses of Parliament are the best to see an admire
J. A.
Visited with the local youth council during the Easter holidays. It was very easy to get to the building, but finding the entrance wasn't the clearest, although this is understandable, as it is a very high security building. Once inside, it was very easy to work out where we needed to be. All the tours seemed to be running on time, so our tour started at the time that we expected. A very efficient process.
We were shown around and told about the history of the building by our tour guide, Peter Clark. He was very knowledgeable about the building and British politics. Any questions that were asked, he knew the answer to. He also had a great sense of humour and appeared to be great with the younger children.
Overall, it was an amazing visit and I would suggest it to anyone who is able to gain entry. The best way is contacting your local MP, who may be able to give you tickets free of charge.
E. C.
We went there quite a few years ago . It is indeed such a wonderful memory! You are taking part of History.
M. B.
Truly awesome. Also, don't be afraid to approach the staff at Cromwell's entrance, that's how I scored a spot for the PMQs.

We usually walk round the outside but we decided to take the number 11 bus today which is a great route for spotting sights in a cheap way. We were able to see the green, the Palace of Westminster and all the usual sights from the bus. Definitely recommended for a change or an activity mid-tourist activities to give the feet a rest!

" SCUM!".
There is a stain around this place,
Of selfishness, and greed,
There is a sly look on your face,
As you rob from those in need.
Too many of your kind I see,
Bring poverty and pain,
And glorify in misery,
And deepen this, again.
You had no mandate for this pain,
We didn`t tell you to,
You cut and cut, and cut again,
Because that`s what you do.
You do not see the struggle here,
Just figures on a page,
You think that this will disappear,
You do not grasp, our rage.
You think that you are better bred,
Than people scarred at birth?.
You cannot lie straight in your bed,
You are not half their worth.
You think that we don`t owe a debt;
To forces injured on the field?.
Who lost a leg, an arm? and yet,
Would never, never yield?.
And yet you grin and wave the hand,
And you feel proud, for what you did,
YOU ARE THE SCUM, - OF ALL THE LAND!.
` TWAS ONLY 30 QUID!`.

Part of the House of Parliment is under reconstruction together with the Big Ben. Better picture of the building could be captured from The Eye of London or from the river bank across the river Thames facing it. Tourists everywhere, and were told that this is a high crime area due to pick pocket activity by a group of henious people even though you put your purse at the front.
S. S.
