I must say that I enjoyed my visit to the Institute of directors in London. It is an exquisite building steeped in history, you can just tell. Must have lots of fancy meetings there over the years. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was even a woman dressed up as the queen for photo opportunities should that inspire you. I did managed to fool a few people to be fair. Everything is especially clean and tidy as well. They must have a high cleaning bill. Worth dropping in if you get an invite.

I had a really lovely Afternoon Tea at this gorgeous building on Saturday. Really nice atmosphere, airy and light yet atmospheric with lovely Christmas decorations. Fab service and a really great take on a traditional Afternoon Tea. I had a starter - smoked turkey rillette; the savoury course had delicious coronation chicken in brioche buns, cucumber and chive cream cheese finger sandwich and a hot smoked salmon quiche. Then, the Scones, jam or cream first? Then, the Pastries! a Christmas-themed cranberry and orange eclair, Christmas Battenberg and Searcy's signature Victoria which was beautiful to look at and a really pleasant taste. All with champagne of course. Very generous portions, a good selection of teas and great value for money. Totally recommend!!

Super place for a part time office, if you are a director working from home. Very good price also compared to others in the same area. The staff is extra friendly and nice. Strongly recommend to go and have a look and even buy the membership.

The Venue is lovely very elegant, plenty of space restaurant was very unorganised we ordered and meal got half the other whalf 45 minutes later so they can't deal with a vast amount of people at one time. The cloakroom from doesn't have no organisation with a cloakroom we went for a function and the alarm was set of half an hour before the function was finished.

I was quite impressed with the building and facility available in the IoD. I will try to make a good use of it! I tried the cafe below and got quite disappointed with the food. The burger was dry and salty. However, it was nice of them to give me gluten free bread as substitute of normal. However, The bread was not toasted and fall apart straight away.

Historically recognized place hosting banquets with delicious Contemporary cuisine with clear British heritage. Decor is of Georgian period as 116 Pall Mall building belongs to early 19th century. Ornate dining halls can host large groups. We really enjoyed food and highly stylized servings.

Meeting room with "hot" buffet. Comfortable chairs, good choice of food - although not terribly practical to eat without a table. I think under a different setting, i could have rated this place higher. Food was at best lukewarm which was disappointing as it was "proper" dinner food with heavy plates, knife and forks. The concept would have worked better with a finger hot food buffet. Staff on hand were smartly dressed, polite and discreet.

Professional business club in a stunning classic building. Directors Room renovated recently offering plenty of seating and power outlets. Basic but reliable food and snack menu suitable for long work sessions. Wine Bar has very basic snack and beer offering and hardly any power points.

Excellent if you want to eat or to chat. Annoying if you want to book a venue. One person seemed to be on duty for both floors 3 and 4. She was having none of this customer service nonsense. I couldnt check out a room cos 'all' were in use. Straight lie. My main interest was in the bigger floor 2 rooms so i just had a look in each.all empty of course. I also got a glimpse on floor 4. The other possibility is that her English was too poor for basic comprehension.But then she could have got a colleague?

A very nice place to have a business meeting. The café is elegant with very high ceiling and historical paintings hanging on the wall, giving an aura of a place of historical importance. Very well maintained and available to host all kinds of events.

I love this place and for the first time I tried beef onglet. Similar to the goring with its unrushed efficiency, but with a low attendance, and slightly lacking in pomp. However the building has a rich history with lots of paintings of historic figures, and as an autistic person I had probably the best ambience I've had in a restaurant for a very long time.

It's a beautiful and impressive building reminiscent of the Victorian era. The lunch options in the Director's Room are good but pretty basic. The walls are full of portraits or white middle-aged men, reflecting to a tee the majority of the clientele.

I've always had good service when I've used the IoD. It's a really good place to go I'd you're in London for meetings and either want somewhere central to see people or just want to sit with your laptop and work. The recent building works have been a bit of a pain but we were warned well in advance and these things need to happen from time to time. It's such a beautiful building - I really look forward to my visits there.

During the recent heat wave, popped into the IoD to do some catch up work and asked where was the coolest place at the IoD, they responded Wine Bar. So there I headed (its down in the basement) it's very cool indeed and the temperature was icy too. Great place to prepare for a meeting, meet or relax and grab some lunch.

I suppose my expectations were higher. It is good, but dull in atmosphere. The setting is grand, but slightly lacking in taste and true style. The lighting - in particular - feels cheap and flat. Food good though.

Loved this place, I was invited by a friend who is a member for dinner last week the location 116 Pal Mall is wonderful and the building is like a palace... I very much enjoyed the service in the dinning room and drinks in the bar. the only downside is that the toilets are downstairs and quite far away from the bar.

Nice location always busy, food a little on the steep side don't go for the salads as the portion size is a little in the stingy side (especially the salt beef) could do with more power dockets for device charging in the main lounges.
