I have been a member of MMADen for almost two years and starting my martial arts journey here was one of the best decisions I have made. I started at MMADen to train in Muay Thai but have since added boxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to my journey.
From the moment I stepped into the gym, I could see it was somewhere that places a high value on the students’ progression and abilities. The coaches and the classes are second to none and I have learned and gained so much from them. The Den has also given me so much confidence in myself which I think is so invaluable and a testament to the community and atmosphere that Victor and his team have built.
I just want to thank Victor and his team of coaches, as well as Diogo for his respect and patience in teaching me a skill that I initially thought was impossible!

I started training here in Jan 2020 and decided to try some BJJ for the first time. In my first class Diogo was really welcoming and asked me a few questions about previous experience with grappling. The class was great and other students were really friendly and helpful. Technical details for the techniques were well communicated by Diogo and if you need help, or a question answered, he is always keen to answer and give you his best advice/opinion. The classes have a really light atmosphere and there is always music and a good chat/laugh with people after and before. I kept coming back and now train BJJ only after falling in love with it at MMA Den.

5 stars for the gym/1 star for the BJJ.
The owner Victor has built up an awesome ‘spit & sawdust’ style MMA gym in SW11. Amazing for kickboxing/boxing/fitness & MMA. I highly recommend training classes or 1:1 PTs with Coach Victor,Sully or Russian Andrew! 5 stars for these guys. Highly recommend this club!
IMPORTANT: 1 star for the BJJ classes, Prof. Diogo might be a Roger Gracie black belt, but he has an awful attitude, no respect and is a poor teacher who can barely communicate. I wouldn’t trust him to look after a potted plant, let alone a class where there is potential for injury. If you want just BJJ. Go elsewhere, not every black belt can teach...

Coming to my first class in MMAden two years ago was one of the best decision I have ever made. As a complete beginner, I found the idea of starting to learn martial art a bit intimidating. Still, I rapidly got hooked thanks to the highly skilled team and the great atmosphere there.
Classes are run in a way that allows you to learn boxing and/or K1 properly while building strength and fitness, no matter your level.
Above all and beyond my expectation, Victor and Sully's support and coaching helped me to develop enough confidence to be able to step into the ring myself.

I have been a member of the MMA Den for a couple of years. Victor, Sully and all the other coaches are invested in making this place run as a very professional fight and fitness club. They have the credentials, real life fighting experience and knowledge to ensure you are coached the right way. It is a really friendly and welcoming atmosphere where you are pushed you to your limits every session!
I average 1 PT session and 3 boxing classes a week. (i joined in my late 40s and being honest I have never maintained and enjoyed such a fitness regime before so this is really saying something)!!
I would highly recommend trying a class, or if you prefer testing the place out start off by booking some one to one PT sessions and get a feel for the place. Credit goes to the dedication these guys have put in to build such a successful club!

Have been going to this club for almost 2 years several times a week and I wont be leaving anytime soon. The club is fantastic! The coaches are excellent, knowledgeable and always friendly and approachable. The environment is really welcoming and inclusive as well, with other members and training partners ranging from highly skilled fighters and new comers. Love going here and highly recommend to anyone

Really good gym. If you've never tried any type of martial art before then it can be a bit intimidating when you walk in first time but as soon as you speak to everyone you feel good as everyone has a positive vibe and the coaches will really work you. I always feel good after any class and always learn something new. All the coaches are friendly and approachable.

I've been a member here for over a year now. There's so many great things I can say about MMADen.
First of all, it's very welcoming to beginners and a great atmosphere always. Also everyone that trains there is really really nice, literally everyone.
I mostly attend the BJJ classes (Mon, Tues, Thurs & Sat), these are taught by Diogo Borges. He's a black belt under Roger Gracie. The classes are always loads of fun (we're always laughing) and enjoyable whilst keeping the high pressure on to always improve our jiu-jitsu. I always learn something new.
As such, the standard of the students is very high. Which is the ideal environment if you really care about developing yourself.
I look forward to seeing you on the mats! Make sure you tell me you read this review 😁
p.s. starting BJJ is the best decision I ever made, it's changed my life. I hope it can do the same for you too.

My experience is based on attending Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes as a total beginner (my only experience was some Boxing at that point). Muay Thai is solid - would recommend for weak, unconditioned, uncoordinated beginners as a starting point. Would literally recommend 5 stars. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is terrible for beginners. Coach has a horrible attitude towards teaching and seems to ignore health and safety on a regular basis. Training partners in BJJ are also hit and miss - if you end up with a less cerebral training partner your likelihood of getting injured by some meathead significantly increases. The irony in this is that BJJ was created for self defence for the smaller weaker individual - and if this individual ends up getting injured, they would literally have been better off not training the 'gentle art' or doing something like Boxing where the subject matter is not as complicated. If injuries will impact the quality of your life in any way and you care about safety - avoid BJJ here and go to a club that has a higher number of students ideally where people with careers outside of combat sports train, as they will be more deliberate with their training. To summarise: would highly recommend the Muay Thai to everybody from a beginner to a pro. Would only recommend the BJJ to those who have trained before under a good beginner teacher who cares about safety and fundamentals, or those who are beginners but don't care as much about their safety.

The MMA den is absolutely amazing, the instructors are friendly but push you in the right way to get to your goals! They know there stuff!! No pain, no gain! Love this place and I recommend it to anyone who wants to get fit or already is (it will push you more than you know) if it's group sessions or private classes this is the place to go!! Give them a try!

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu - I’ve trained under Professor Diogo Borges at the MMA Den. Diogo is a Roger Gracie Black Belt and a highly skilled competitor in both gi and no gi. I have been privileged to be able to travel to many gyms globally and domestically which include many internationally recognised destinations for Jiu Jitsu/MMA I can safely say that Diogo’s teaching and know how is of the highest order. In many gyms the attitude and vibe of the teacher flows down through the students and I was made to feel incredibly welcomed and part of the gym from my first visit, this is no doubt down to the etiquette and ethos of the teachers at MMA Den. The classes a detailed and Diogo spends time with each student to ensure they have correctly learnt what has been taught. I would highly recommend anyone looking to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to try a class here. Five stars.

A first class gym whether you are training to compete or just want to keep in shape. Great facilities and friendly atmosphere. All the coaches are very well informed and there to help with technical and practical advice.

i had trained in several mma gyms across south london before finding MMAden. By far the best .All of the coaches are patient, knowledgeable and all of the classes have a good intensity. really friendly environment

Great instructors who make boxing accessible to all. Being a female beginner can make boxing classes feel quite intimidating but the club are so welcoming and totally put you at ease!

Been coming here for a few weeks to train boxing. Finding the place the first time on a dark evening was a slightly nervy affair given it's tucked away down a little industrial estate, but you soon forget that when you're inside. The training is intense and if you do the 90 minute class be prepared to leave exhausted! Only criticism is that it's quite small inside so if there were more than 10 people at a class I'm not sure how it would work.

Really if you want to get fighting fit its the best place to be you will have to have a can do attitude but the benefit is for a life time or if you just want to get supper fit the classes are great coaches are there to improve your style and add more technique with a really good set of equipment

Very welcoming atmosphere alongside some challenging but highly enjoyable classes. I would strongly recommend combining regular classes with some one on one instruction, which is great value for money.
