Reviews of Savile Club

J.P. Morgan's former London pad and now a wonderful Club - mainly full of actors and media types. A beautiful venue. I have never not met an interesting person when at the Sabine (Or the Flyfishers' - a club in residence within the Savile).

I held an event in the ball room, all the guests were in love with the decor, the sweeping staircase is so dramatic. The events team, we so helpful and made sure the event went to schedule.

Beautiful decor. Very good food and drink. Much history and very convivial. You need to be a member or a guest of a member.

What a glamorous place.
Went for a big birthday party
Great staff and facilities

Wonderful. If only staff were more willing to encourage new membership. But either way, the white port was astonishing, especially when it was that and not a rather unfortunate dry sherry

Located in the west end of London W1 Close to Regent Street,Park Lane and Hyde Park a very exclusive venue

An amazing club with the kindest and most wonderful staff I have ever encountered. The facilities are beautiful and mostly from the mid-1800's. There is a SMALL lift if needed. The club members are the most fascinating people I have met in years. Writers, Doctors, Barristers, and other people of great education are the norm at this club. If you want to engage in a great conversation or enjoy a drink in the club bar, this is the best place in London. But remember, it is a formal club and appropriate attire is necessary…which for visitors translates to "wear a coat and tie and get rid of the white running shoes or flip-flops!" But if you want to experience an astounding meal in a classic setting or if you want to have a wedding in a facility right out of the movies…or maybe out of a story-book….this is the place.

Went for a dining club dinner in the ball room. Beautiful decor, good food, good table service.
But -
1. Unfriendly reception staff telling guests off for using wrong coat hooks (by lobby rather than basement).
2. Thin walls and doors between dining areas so we couldn't hear speeches due to noise from another dinner next dining area.
3. A real lack of modern facilities. Eg no plugs in public areas to charge a phone.

Lovely place, friendly staff with great service!

Fantastic venue, beautiful inside, reasonably priced. the only downside is the strict walls inside and the rudeness of some of the staff. If this club was open to all ( it currently only allows men to join) I'd be far more likely to have a membership.

Beautiful private member's club. Ambience is quiet and dignified. Priced as one would expect for London. Food didnt really impress like the rest of the experience but it was nice food nonetheless.

An oasis of tranquillity on a hot day in London - especially in the garden or on the terrace. Food is good, but not great, yet very reasonable as are drinks. No phones policy makes it very civilised, in a comfortable, classic club atmosphere. Need to have a member as one of the party of course.

Good old club, a historic place, beautifully furnished and decorated. Outstanding liquor and satisfactory food. Staff members are very olde worlde welcoming. That being said, other members of the club is what really makes this place utterly desirable.

Very exclusive and sophisticated interiors, great food, but the behaviour of the front staff is totally not acceptable. Middle-aged, small, very unpleasant lady at the entrance was rude, disrespectful and arrogant every time I have been there. She forbade my friend to bring his backpack inside without any reasonable explanation and was very unpleasant to me (because I look quite young? I don't know?). She also refused to let my other friend in back to the club when she left only for a cigarette. Definitely not good taste!!The rest of the staff was always very professional so I just cannot understand why they keep that out-dated, distasteful employee.

The Savile is a bastion for those who enjoy superb quality and class. Providing good food, good conversation, good company, stimulating surroundings, sumptuous decor, excellent entertainments and a cellar of wonderful wines. With an incomparable roll-call of associates since it's establishment in 1868, it really is a privilege to be a member or a guest of this noble, delightful establishment.

I love using The Savile for events, the staff are very helpful and the building itself is an amazing place with a lovely blend of old and new. The Ballroom is the most glorious setting for a special event. Wonderful glamorous staircase that is definitely the star attraction for me.

A very nice club with a relaxed atmosphere, but it can get busy, especially on Friday nights. Drinks are at great prices and the dinner is always top notch.

Nice private club to hold private meetings. The food they serve is also very good. They are prompt too about the serving of the food. They certainly do not mock about in this place.

One of the more informal West End clubs, with consistently good food and many nice rooms including a particularly nice bar.

One of the best of the old member's clubs in London. Good food, good facilities.

Excellent service and a lovely place to entertain guests, all members of staff are fantastic but the lobby could be better for waiting none members.
