The view of the other reviewer isn’t related to this premises at all - it seems that he’s referring to the emergency homeless shelter set up next door as part of the Severe Weather Emergency Protocol that was enacted last month.
Whilst the service users do make full use of the floor to sleep (all the emperor sized memory foam sleigh beds with inbuilt TVs were sold out when this charity was looking to furnish the approx. 5m x 10m room they’ve managed to at least find and open, it’s out of the cold and safe so much better than on a park bench or bin store somewhere.
Regarding the food the other reviewer mentioned, this ‘out of date’ food is actually food donated by Pret A Manger as part of their work with homeless charities - helping them by donating leftover food from stores each day. This type of support is vital for these services and there is absolutely nothing wrong with eating a sandwich that was prepared the day before like all of the ones delivered by Pret are.
And finally, nobody is forced to see a psychiatrist there in order to receive help. All service users undergo an assessment on arrival for their and everyone else’s health and safety (both mental and physical) and if that’s a bad thing then perhaps I should go and see the psychiatrist as I’m clearly loosing touch with reality.
