Reviews of The Ivy Club
B. G.
It was the first time that went there and we truly enjoyed the experience- me and my partner just got engaged that afternoon and our waiter (Cristian) went the extra mile and really made us feel special. He looked after us in the standard the Ivy is known for.
Food was great as well- the duck salad, shepherd’s pie and the steak tartar were so great. We also loved the cheesecake presentation (so original!)
We will definitely be back again soon.

It’s okay. The difference between this place and THE Ivy is it has Club attached to its name. It’s decor looks like a Harvester on a B Road. You won’t see anyone younger than 40 in here, and if you need a Gentleman’s pee, stand on your tip toes… the urinals are almost 4ft from the floor. Odd considering Richard Caring is 5ft (with heels on).

As always a faultless experience at an Ivy.
The food and service were both impeccable. All of the staff were attentive, professional and as always live up to the expectations of The Ivy.

The Club at The Ivy is one of those London prestige places you only get to see if you know a member of the club who can book a table or a room for a party. It's worth seeing those at least once, with an amazing glass lift in a marble/glass white staircase. On the first floor is a restaurant with live piano playing, on the top floor a quirky room with a bar, couple of coffee tables and sofas to lounge, perfect for a canapé food kind of event. All inspired by Art Deco but touched up with great contemporary art.
The staff was absolutely perfect of course, professional, friendly with real style and never intrusive, and never snobbish at all, everyone has real grace. I'm sorry I don't have more photos but perhaps some things should be left to surprise you;)

I love the elegance of the place. Service was wonderful, eventhough many of the waiting staff were new.
The food was a mix of incredible and average.
Cheese souffle was phenomenal. Watermelon and duck salad is a little gem.
Steak was ok- most steak places are better.
Cauliflower cheese was phenomenal. Spinach was horrible.
My baked Alaska was burnt black. The other desserts were good, but nothing great.
Was it worth 90 pounds per person. Probably not. But it was ok for the experience of going.

The Ivy is a well-known restaurant in London, but the Club at the Ivy is a private, members–only club which can only be accessed via a hidden entrance through a flower shop.
Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum invate me for diner in this totaly secret place , years a go !!!
The Club consists of 3 floors, located above the restaurant.
It has a dining room, bed ,library and entertainment space.
It’s also known for its heated benches and seats.
The only way to become a member is to receive an invitation and pay the annual fee of $1400 plus a $700 joining fee!

Cool member's club. Roaring twenties vibe to it. However catered food was very bad...so just get cocktails here instead.

Very nice place and elegant. The steak I had wasn't very good. I nice place to share with friends.

Staff were very helpful in accommodating us so close to Christmas. I’m a member of the sister club in Singapore and wanted to find a space to get friends together over Christmas. The team were great at ensuring we had a table and were very attentive. Drinks were good, London prices but very reasonable. This would also be a nice space to work during the day if you find yourself in the area.
I’m sure we will be back.

Beautiful decor. Only had the one cocktail which was nice

Excellent service, classic decor with an extensive choice of quality drinks and cocktails. Great-tasting food with all the staff friendly and welcoming. The Piano Bar is the perfect place to relax and catch up with friends and I absolutely love this place !

Very nice food, great atmosphere, was a bit noisy but was Saturday night.

Been to a lot of the Ivy brasseries. Thought I’d tackle the originally. I went for lunch and didn’t realise you needed a booking.
Upon arrival the introduction was ok, not what I’d received in other Ivy restaurants. They managed to find me a table but didn’t seem to be that forth coming with a drop in.
The waiting staff were very good, also very accommodating.
I did notice that people were welcomed differently depending on who walked through the door. This isn’t something I’d expect at this standard of restaurant.
We ordered the sea bass and fish and chips. The food was very good. Although expensive I’m unsure what the difference in food was to other restaurants that are priced lower.
All in all a decent experience, although I’d say head to an Ivy Brasserie. Better value and more welcoming

Here for a travel trade event, top floor above high end club . Service excellent, canapes excellent, champagne also excellent! Audio visuals suitable for the room size. Limitations? Single toilet cubicle for each sex meant ladies having to use men's or wait. Not a serious problem. Seating rather cramped and not particularly comfortable. Minor points drop the star rating from 5 to 4. Enjoyed the experience.
T. C.
Great attentive service and worth the membership. A good location and a nice vibe about the place. Not allowed to take photos but took one on the way out of one of the most expensive single floor lifts in London, allegedly.
S. D.
A distinguished and friendly club. They're super accomodating, the ambience is brilliant and the art deco decor is top notch. The team there care about it. To me it's the best members club in London. The food is excellent too. There is a dedicated restaurant and the main bar and loft. The loft is usually booked for functions though. There's a pianist at night and it shuts fairly late. Around 1am usually. It has a fairly eclectic bunch of members. Hard to put in to a type. If you know a member I'd recommend a visit highly.

You don't get disappointed !
Great place
Great drinks

Friendly staff and the food was delicious.

The Ivy,
This evening, I dined at the Ivy Club. The food was excellent overall.
For my starter, I had a Raw & Pickled Market Vegetables with Carrot Hummus & Smashed Grains. The taste was different, but a good different. Every time I had a bite, it was terrific. You will like it
For my dinner, I had a Crackling Roast Pork Belly With Creamed Black Pudding and glazed apples&sage. Very delicious. The pork, cooked to perfection. It melted between your teeth, just because it was so soft. The crackling cracked and was very good. I thought the combination of the creamed black pudding and the glazed apples&sages, was an excellent idea. It formed the perfect combination
As a side dish, I had a Honey Roasted Parsnips and a Mixed Tomato Salad with Basil Tabouleh. Been a parsnips lover, I was curious about how its taste will be like. It was delicious. I did like it and would love to try it. The mixed tomatoes were also fantastic.
R. E.
Perfect place to have a couple of drinks after the Theatre with beautiful piano being played. Sadly the service was awful during the night. I would still recommend if you are able to get in. Think we were simply unlucky to have a member of Staff who desperately needs training.
D. C.
I am a huge fan of The Ivy. When the Ivy Club opened it drew many of the regulars and celebrities from the restaurant and the restaurant lost its sparkle. But the situation has reversed since the Ivy refresh a few years ago and now I would rather go to the restaurant than the club. But we are spoiled to have the choice. Food and atmosphere in the club are both great, if a little busy and quite expensive.
H. Y.
Love it here! Old school chic with a touch of the old theatre crowd. Delicious food and ambience. Great drinks too. Private members only im afraid!
C. Y.
Perfect private room for a corporate lunch ~30 people. Food delicious and well presented. Service good too and generally a lovely venue.
A. M.
Great buzz in the restaurant. Food is really good and service even better
P. A.
Had a great evening at the club - great meal for my sisters wedding reception . We have 2 young children and the staff were fantastic at keeping them amused and even brought out some cake on there own initiative .
Also great valet parking service was provided - would highly recommend and I will be back .
G. W.
Membership or guest entry only.
The coffee, and by that I mean the black stuff, not the milky varieties, is amongst the best I've tasted. Almost rivals the Monmouth Street Coffee establishment.
Food good, as you'd expect, and the service very friendly, again, as you'd expect in a private members club.
C. C.
Stylish establishment with live music on offer at times. However it is a place to visit to relax and have the wonderful staff bring you one of a great selection of drinks. Open to members only.
a. s.
Very nice meal and drinks
A. W.
Nice atmosphere. Great food. Beautiful wine. Not rammed like Soho House. A bit of a cut above with a more exclusive crowd.
C. C.
Beautiful cosy private club. Really makes you feel at home. People know each other and that creates a lovely feeling of community while having drinks or top class dinner.
L. T.
Still one of my favourites after all these years. Great service, live music and a touch of old fashioned west end glamour.
E. Y.
Food delicious and well presented. Service good too and generally a lovely venue.
S. L.
Awesome, lovely atmosphere & service, highly recommended.
M. L.
Wonderful lunch! Friendly, attentive staff and a relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant. Absolutely recommend if you get the chance to visit.
J.
Professional friendly barman and waiting staff. Lovely surroundings with great cocktails. Good quality food. 10/10 for this establisment.
E. D.
I was a bit non plussed by my visit to the Ivy Club. I found the door staff cold. Bar staff lovely. Decor a bit cheap looking like an airport business lounge. Really not a big deal.
T. C.
Felt inviting from the moment you arrive great decor, atmosphere and service they really look after you, everything is so well presented with a nicely balanced menu.
H. D.
I have not been to The Club at the Ivy but have been to all the others. I have never had a bad experience pre-refurbishment and look forward to seeing the NEW Ivy. Covent Garden and The Market were not as good as original and hope newly opened Ivy has kept the standards high as before.
M. P.
If you’re lucky enough to get an invite to the club you’ll have a marvelous time and be well taken care of by the capable team. Try the squid salad with chorizo it’s amazing.
M. H.
Very welcoming club especially considering the epidemic.
J. S.
Just one of my favourite haunts but probably the hardest club to become a member of. Just 'cos you can afford membership doesnt mean you can get membership here.
I. C.
You've got to love the service here, impeccable. Good cocktails, and food too👍
C. C.
